In Pokémon GO new raid bosses now reign in the arenas. We show you which bosses they are and how to defeat them.
The Pokémon Let’s GO Event is running and brings new raid bosses with it. Some raid bosses are available for the first time. During the event, Kanto Pokémon will spawn more frequently and you’ll have the chance for shiny Magnetilo.
We show you the new raid bosses and reveal which counters you can use to bring the Pokémon to their knees.
These raid bosses are in Pokémon GO
The new raids are primarily focused on Kanto Pokémon, which appear in abundance during the event. The bosses can be found in raids until November 23. After that, they will be replaced again.
Shiny chance: Many raids give you the opportunity to encounter a shiny. For the first time, you also have the chance to encounter a shiny Magnetilo in a raid.
Some new raid bosses: There are some Pokémon that you can now challenge in raids for the first time. These include Voltilamm, Magnetilo, Lanturn, and Panzaeron.
Level 1 Raids
You can challenge the following Pokémon in Level 1 Raids:
- Voltilamm
- Counter: Any ground-type Pokémon
- Sheinux
- Counter: Any ground-type Pokémon
- Magnetilo
- Counter: Any ground, fire, or fighting-type Pokémon
- Bamelin
- Counter: Any plant or electric-type Pokémon
Level 2 Raids
You can challenge the following Pokémon in Level 2 Raids:
- Flunkifer
- Counter: Any ground, fire, or poison-type Pokémon
- Voltenso
- Counter: Any ground-type Pokémon
- Lanturn
- Counter: Any plant or ground-type Pokémon
- Elektek
- Counter: Any ground-type Pokémon
Level 3 Raids
You can challenge the following Pokémon in Level 3 Raids:
- Sichlor
- Counter 1: Despotar with Rock throw and Stone edge
- Counter 2: (Alola)-Geowaz with Rock throw and Stone edge
- Counter 3: Lavados with Fire spiral and Sky sweeper/Fire swerve
- Alola-Raichu
- Counter 1: Mewtwo with Psychic blade/Confusion and Shadow ball
- Counter 2: Gengar with Dark claw/Slurp and Shadow ball
- Counter 3: Despotar with Bite and Crunch
- Counter 4: Groudon with Mud shot and Earthquake
- Panzaeron
- Counter 1: Lavados with Fire spiral and Fire swerve
- Counter 2: Zapdos with Thunder shock and Thunder bolt
- Counter 3: Raikou with Thunder shock and Thunder strike
- Counter 4: Elevoltek with Thunder shock and Thunder strike
- Blitza
- Counter 1: Groudon with Mud shot and Earthquake
- Counter 2: Rihornior with Mud shot and Earthquake (probably only doable solo in sunny weather!)
- Counter 3: Rizeros with Mud shot and Earthquake (only doable solo in sunny weather!)
Level 4 Raids
You can challenge the following Pokémon in Level 4 Raids:
- Absol
- Counter 1: Machomei with Counter and Dynamic punch
- Counter 2: Kapilz with Counter and Dynamic punch
- Counter 3: Hariyama with Counter and Dynamic punch
- Stolloss
- Counter 1: Machomei with Counter and Dynamic punch
- Counter 2: Kapilz with Counter and Dynamic punch (Not doable in duo)
- Counter 3: Hariyama with Counter and Dynamic punch (Not doable in duo)
- Alola-Knogga
- Counter 1: Despotar with Rock throw and Stone edge (in partly cloudy weather)
- Counter 2: Kyogre with Cascade and Hydro pump (in rainy weather)
- Counter 3: Garados with Cascade and Hydro pump (in rainy weather)
- Alola-Kokowei
- Counter 1: Mewtwo with Psychic blade/Confusion and Ice beam
- Counter 2: Snibunna with Ice shard and Avalanche
- Counter 3: Rossana with Frost breath and Avalanche

Eevee evolutions as raid bosses: As Pokémon GO tweeted, all Eevee evolutions will soon be available as raid bosses. From November 23, you can challenge them in raid battles.
