The attack that Tyranitar can learn during the Community Day in June on Pokémon GO is now confirmed.
The Community Day in June is only a few days away. Many players will flock to the streets and parks to hunt wild monsters. This time, the Larvitar family is in the spotlight. Because if you catch or evolve a Tyranitar during the event, it will learn the exclusive Rock-type move “Smack Down”.
Smack Down for Tyranitar – How good is it?
Now all rewards for the Community Day are confirmed.
- We know that Tyranitar can learn the move Smack Down.
- This move was more or less leaked earlier. The Japanese and Chinese in-game news had already announced “Smack Down” earlier.
- Additionally, you will receive triple the amount of experience points when you catch any Pokémon.
- Lure modules will last three hours instead of just 30 minutes, as in previous events.
And when does the Community Day start? The next Community Day starts on Saturday, June 16th at 11:00 AM German time. You will have three hours to take advantage of the bonuses. The event will end at 2:00 PM.
Smack Down in Pokémon GO – Good or bad?
The special thing about the Smack Down move is that it is the first Fast Attack that a Pokémon can learn during a Community Day. Previously, they were Charged Attacks. This is an important point because a Tyranitar with Smack Down and Stone Edge is an extremely strong attacker.
Tyranitar is already a very strong Pokémon in Pokémon GO, chosen by many trainers as an attacker for raids. Based on the data available so far about the Smack Down move in the code, Tyranitar will become even more powerful. It’s possible that just two trainers with a group of Tyranitar (Moveset Smack Down and Stone Edge) could defeat a Ho-Oh together.
