A future patch will improve the arena experience in Pokémon GO. For example, the CP of Pokémon can be adjusted against each other.
Just yesterday, the developers at Niantic announced that there will soon be a catch bonus that will simplify catching rare Pokémon. Now it has been revealed that the arena will also receive some improvements. The team size when training in the arena will be changed, and a feature will be introduced that allows the CP of the battling Pokémon to be adjusted.
Teams of up to 6 Pokémon for training in the arena
The developers reveal in an official post that soon you will be able to use more Pokémon when training in a friendly arena. Instead of battling with one Pokémon as before, you will be able to enter the fight with a team of 6 Pokémon in the future. However, your weaker Pokémon shouldn’t be useless in arena training. In these situations, a new feature will be activated, where the strength and weakness of the Pokémon will be adjusted.
The CP of the Pokémon you train against will be adjustable. The combat points of the Pokémon can be temporarily reduced to match the battle capabilities of your Pokémon. So it doesn’t matter how weak your Pokémon is – if you want to train in a friendly arena, you will soon be able to do so with the weaker members of your Pokémon team.
