The next Community Day for Pokémon GO has been announced. And it brings some changes that are causing frustration in the community.
While the last Community Day with Flabébé took place last weekend, the next edition of the popular event has already been announced. This time, Solosis, the Psychic-type monster from Generation 5, will be in the spotlight. It can evolve into Duosion and then into Reuniclus.
The event will take place on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. There will be several changes compared to the last events of this kind. Several popular contents will be removed, causing discontent in the community.
Overview of the Changes for the Community Day
What changes are there? During the Community Day with Solosis, there will be several changes. Previously, Lure Moduls activated during the event had a duration of 3 hours. This will now be reduced to only one hour in the future.
Additionally, there will be neither a free special research task that you can complete within one week after the Community Day, nor will you have the 7-day time window to evolve the Community Day monster to receive the exclusive attack.
However, a new Incense bonus has been announced. You have until 9 PM, which is 4 hours after the event ends, to use regular Incense at PokéStops. If you do, more Solosis specimens will be attracted, which will still have an increased Shiny chance and may also receive a special background.
What content is available at the event? The following contents are waiting for you at the next Community Day:
- Solosis will appear more frequently in the wild
- Solosis has an increased Shiny chance and can appear with a special background
- exclusive attack Charm when you evolve Duosion to Reuniclus during the event
- 3x catch Stardust
- double catch Candy
- double chance for XL Candy (from level 31)
- Incense lasts 3 hours if you activate the item during the event (except for the daily adventure incense)
- Incense lasts 1 hour if activated during the event
- Snapshot surprises with Solosis
- Event Field Research
- paid special research for $1.99 (approximately €2.49)

- an additional special trade*
- trade costs are reduced by 50%*
The bonuses marked with an * are active on the day of the event from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

What does the community say about the changes? On social media, for example on Reddit, the changes are not exactly received with enthusiasm. Some comments include:
- “Really disappointed to see them remove the extra week to evolve and get the move. It was a really nice bonus that gave us enough time to trade for luckies and not needlessly stress about which ones to evolve. Also the nerf to lures so they only last an hour.”, comments Novrev
