In Pokémon GO the next event has been announced. This not only brings you 2 new monsters to the game, but also comes with an increased shiny chance for 2 more monsters.
What kind of event is this? The Harvest Festival 2025 has been announced for Pokémon GO. It will start on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM and end on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 8:00 PM.
Included are various wild monsters, bonuses, an increased shiny chance for 2 monsters, as well as 2 new dragon evolutions.
Even more apples!
What new monsters are there? With the start of the event, you can evolve Applin for the first time into its previously unreleased forms in Pokémon GO. You can evolve the monster into Dipplin and also into Hydrapple. Both monsters have the types Grass and Dragon.
While Hydrapple is an evolution of Dipplin in the main series games, you can currently evolve both monsters directly from Applin in Pokémon GO. The two monsters are part of the previous evolutions of Applin.
To obtain Dipplin, you need a Applin, 200 Appin candies, and 20 syrupy apples that will be unlocked in the game during the event. For Hydrapple , you also need an Applin as well as 400 candies of the monster. Additionally, you must catch 7 dragon Pokémon while having Applin as your buddy.
Since Applin and the apple items without moss lures can be very difficult to obtain, it may take some time to get the two new evolutions.
What bonuses are there in the event? The chance of finding apples at PokéStops with moss lures is increased during the event. Additionally, the candies you obtain by using Pinap Berries and Silver Pinap Berries will also be doubled during the event. Applin can also appear in the wild during the event.
The 3 bonuses should help you at least within the event to obtain apples and Applin candies more quickly.
Furthermore, the shiny chance for Pumpkaboo and Smoliv will be increased. You can find both monsters, along with Miltank, Applin, and Combee, in the wild during the event.
Other contents of the event: There will be field research in the event, where you can get Pokémon encounters with Pumpkaboo, Applin, and Smoliv. Collector challenges are also part of the event. Here you can receive a moss lure module, stardust, and juicy apples.
For $4.99 (approximately 5 €), you can also purchase a limited research. This will give you double the duration of moss lure modules during the event, as well as an increased chance of obtaining berries at PokéStops. Additionally, for completing the research, you will receive 30 Silver Pinap Berries, 3 moss lure modules, and encounters with Applin.
