In Pokémon GO there is now another Shiny Ghost. Another monster joins Zobiris in an alternate color from Generation 3.
While the Halloween event 2017 is happening in Pokémon GO, trainers can obtain the first five Pokémon from Generation 3. To make the hunt for the new monsters even more exciting, the developers at Niantic introduced a Shiny variant of “Zobiris” into the game.
For a few hours now, there is another Shiny Ghost to find.
Shiny Zwirrlicht now in Pokémon GO – Halloween 2017
On the evening of October 26, more and more reports from trainers began to appear, who reported Shiny Zwirrlicht. Many players initially thought this was just a rumor, but the reports kept increasing.
Countless screenshots and videos now confirm that the Shiny form of Zwirrlicht (Duskull) can now be caught in the wild.
On Reddit, trainer Devreugkx showcased their Shiny catch. Other players commented that the event had become even more interesting.
What are the chances of encountering a Shiny Zwirrlicht?
Since the Shiny form of Zwirrlicht has only been in the game for a few hours, the exact chance of this encounter cannot yet be determined. Currently, experts from PokémonGOHub estimate that the chance is similar to that of Zobiris. That corresponds to 1 in 256.
However, this still needs to be fully verified and is just a number to go by for now.
Nonetheless, it should be relatively “easy” to catch a Shiny Zwirrlicht, as they are already appearing frequently during the event.
Additionally, GOHub reports that there are new spawn points in the game where monsters appear in the wild. These are said to have been activated around the same time as the first new Shinys. In this way, Niantic adds some spice to the Halloween event and hopefully gives trainers a chance at one of the new rare Pokémon.
