All 135 new species belong to the 3rd Generation and are included in the APK metadata. The new Pokémon also include 73 new types of candies. These include candies for the monster Treecko as well as Deoxys.
However, you shouldn’t expect the Pokémon to spawn in the wild right away with the new update. It will take longer, as sound files and possible new moves still need to be added to the game before the release of the 3rd Generation in Pokémon GO. These are still missing.

When is the Release of the 3rd Gen?
There is currently no official date. This is not surprising, as Niantic has not even announced the third generation themselves. We can make a rough estimate based on the release of the 2nd Generation.
In update 0.45.0, the monsters of the 2nd Generation appeared for the first time. This news reached us on November 7, 2016. Then we had to wait more than three months until Niantic officially announced the release of the 2nd Generation on February 15, 2017. At that time, there were about 80 new monsters. We expect a similar or longer waiting period for the release of the 3rd Generation. As soon as we have more info on this, we will inform you.
