Unfortunately, this does not apply to all monsters. There are some Pokémon that look strong, but unfortunately are not very useful in the game.
Therefore, we show you 10 Pokémon that look really strong but unfortunately can do nothing.
10 Pokémon that should not be weak
This is how we proceed: This is a personal assessment of the author. The appearance of the monster is taken into account and compared with the values in Pokémon GO.
Either the Pokémon simply has weak stats or unfortunately has bad attacks.
Blastoise
Blastoise stands representative for almost every starter in Pokémon GO. In the main games, you always raised your starter and spent the entire game with it.
In Pokémon GO, starters are often weak. Blastoise is probably the worst case here. The Water Starter from Gen 1 visually has all the potential to be a strong Pokémon. Two cannons on its shoulders, a shell for protection, and an intimidating look. In the end, however, it all means nothing.
Blastoise does not even reach 2500 CP and as a Water Attacker, even with Community Day attack, it is pretty weak. Only in the Hyper League of the PvP mode is it somewhat usable. However, unfortunately, Blastoise is not a real weapon.
Nidoking
The name Nidoking already sounds powerful, but unfortunately it does not live up to that. Although it is a powerful and armored monster with a horn, you cannot do anything with Nidoking in Pokémon GO.
The stats of Nidoking are poor, and the attacks seal its fate. The combination makes Nidoking a weak Pokémon that is not strong for either PvP or Raids.
Armaldo
Armaldo somewhat resembles Nidoking and unfortunately suffers the same fate. The Bug and Rock type Pokémon looks really fierce and has actually powerful claws. Unfortunately, in Pokémon GO, they don’t help.
It does reach at least 2848 CP, but the attacks and its weak attack value make it not competitive.
Ursaring
Ursaring actually has the best potential to be a really good Pokémon. It is after all a big bear with huge paws that looks fierce.
However, in Pokémon GO, it appears more like a small teddy bear. Ursaring can reach nearly 3000 CP, but it is of Normal type and is thus already branded. Its attacks are either ineffective against no Pokémon or lack STAB because they are not of Normal type.
Walrein
A large walrus with sharp tusks. It has everything it needs to become a really strong Ice Attacker.
However, reality looks different. Walrein is maximally solid and no more than an alternative to Mamoswine or Snorunt.
Abomasnow
Abomasnow somewhat resembles a giant snow-covered fir tree. Additionally, it always has an angry look. It bears the nickname “The Ice Monster” and definitely looks the part.
However, in Pokémon GO, Abomasnow is not an Ice Monster. It can hardly reach 2400 CP, and its actual strength is not found in the smartphone game. Here, it has just an attack value of 178.
Stalos
Stalos can grow over 9 meters tall and has a huge head with a mouth. The Pokémon looks really dangerous and could actually be really good.
Unfortunately, Stalos is not particularly strong in Pokémon GO. It only reaches about 2400 CP and has an attack value of 148. Compared to other ground or steel type monsters, it performs terribly. In addition, it also has poor attacks.
Karippas
Karippas is the ninja turtle among Pokémon. A standing turtle with an armored head. However, anyone who thinks they see the strength of a ninja turtle here is mistaken.
Karippas can only reach 2600 CP. It also has poor water attacks and the competition is huge.
Siberio
Siberio somewhat resembles a yeti. It is a large polar bear that looks really fierce. The icicles hanging from its mouth give it a dark appearance.
In Pokémon GO, it still reaches over 3000 CP, but it is not really useful. Wrong attacks and a relatively low attack value make it no more than a weaker alternative among the ice attackers.
Gyarados
Gyarados is depicted as a powerful Pokémon in the anime and the story behind it is quite good: A small, inconspicuous fish evolves into this huge monster.
In Pokémon GO, Gyarados is definitely not useless, but it is also not really strong. As a Water Attacker, it is only an alternative, and monsters like Kyogre or Kingler are much better.
Considering that you need 400 candies for its evolution, Gyarados is unfortunately no longer the top attacker it once was at the beginning of the game.
If you are looking for really strong Pokémon, then you should remember the upcoming raid boss Kyurem. It is one of the best attackers in the entire game.
