The Pokémon Center has had an online store in a few countries for many years, offering exclusive merchandise related to the colorful pocket monsters. Surprisingly, a new store has now opened in Germany.
What kind of store is this? The Pokémon Center previously only had online stores in the USA, Japan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Here, exclusive merchandise related to Pokémon is available. The focus is mainly on plush toys, which are also designed seasonally for holidays like Halloween and Christmas.
In addition, there are other items that can be useful for the household or that one can show off to friends. These include:
- Figures
- Video games
- Cards from the trading card game
- Dishes
- Clothing, including socks
- Bags
Anyone in Germany who wanted to buy these items has so far come away empty-handed. The online store only ships to the respective countries where it is available. Since its opening around 11 years ago in the USA, there has been no way to ship the fan merchandise to Germany.
However, surprisingly, the German version of the online store has launched today.
From now on, fans of Pokémon can purchase various plushies and other items. Currently, the site focuses mainly on plush toys related to Eevee and its evolutions, Halloween, and backpacks.

Is the store worth it? Upon opening, the Pokémon Center doesn’t have as many items for sale as in other countries. It mainly offers plush toys of various Pokémon, focusing particularly on popular pocket monsters like Pikachu and Gengar.
The selection is thus limited due to beta status, but could still be worth it depending on your favorite Pokémon. Over time, you should especially check the shop, as seasonal merchandise is often lovingly designed.
Prices range from 12 euros for small keychains to over 550 € for life-sized plushies. It can therefore quickly become expensive, depending on which items you have your eye on. So plan ahead what you want to buy within your budget.
You should hurry: even though the shop has only been online for a few hours, several items are already sold out. It is not specified on individual pages whether they will be restocked.
What do other fans say about it? On Reddit, some fans are excited that the shop is opening in Germany as well. However, many users are hoping for more shops in Europe. Countries like Poland and France are still left empty-handed.
