There are issues and disruptions with the PSN today, on October 26th. Login is not possible. Players are complaining: The PSN is down. What is the network status?
This morning, on October 26th, scheduled maintenance was carried out between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM, during which improvements were made. Only services like account management and the PlayStation Store could not be used. Online gaming and logging in were functioning.

However, since around 10 AM, there have been disruptions with the PSN. The PSN status indicates that all online services are offline.
We just checked the situation, and yes, you cannot log in to PS4. A message appears stating that the PSN is currently under maintenance. PlayStation has also commented via Twitter: They are aware of the login issues and are investigating the problem.
When the services will be operational again remains to be seen.
