PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be updated with a patch every week, as promised. The second of these updates is now on the servers, and you can find the patch notes here.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, the successful battle royale MMO shooter, is still in early access and plagued by many bugs and issues. However, this doesn’t stop a large number of players from engaging in brutal fights for survival every day.
But some bug fixes and updates are still well received. Therefore, the developers at Bluehole have, as promised, released another weekly patch aimed at fixing issues on the servers.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – Week-2-Patchnotes – No more death from the stone!
The Week-2 patch for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds fixes some sound issues, improves the stability and performance of the client and server, and prevents players from crawling into rocks and shooting out from there. You can find the complete list of changes from the update here:
- Improved client performance when loading buildings from a medium distance
- General server performance improvement
- Bug fix for an issue that prevented buildings from being seen from a distance
- Door sound is now played at the intended volume
- The volume of wind, rain, and footsteps has been adjusted
- The sound of the buggies has been improved
- When it rains, you can occasionally hear thunder
- You can no longer hide in rocks and shoot from there
- Bug fix for an issue that caused players to fall through the map in certain locations
- Bug fix for some issues when switching weapons
- Bug fix for an issue that made the compass show the wrong direction
Optimization of the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds client is expected in the major monthly patch that is set to be released during April. However, minor adjustments to server performance are made daily through mini-patches and hotfixes.
