First screenshots of the new desert map in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) have appeared. Fitting for a “Battle Royale” shooter, it looks interestingly depressing: It’s dry and spiky!
On Twitter, Creative Director Brendan Greene, better known as PlayerUnknown, published the first screenshots of the new desert map. The typical huts of the shooter can be seen, where loot or other players are lurking. As one would expect from a desert, there is drought everywhere and the surroundings look parched out.
Cacti and shrubs can be seen. Are they suitable for taking cover? More buildings could be on the distant horizon and a fire is spreading.
Here’s the tweet with the two screenshots. Playerunknown has labeled them as WIP, meaning “Work in Progress”. The map is still being worked on and may change before release.
What do you think of the first screenshots and the desert theme?
The bike peeking cheekily behind the hut attracted special attention. PUBG: Desert map is cool and all, but did you see the bike?!
