The Butcher and His “Fresh Meat!”
Favorite Number 2: Another fan favorite among the sounds in Diablo 4 is the call “Fresh Meat!” from the Butcher. The Butcher is a boss, who can randomly surprise you in any dungeon. You will surely notice him by the loud steps he takes as he stomps towards you. He greets you with the words “Ah, fresh meat!” The Butcher originates from Diablo 1, which was released in 1996.
The Giggle of Treasure Goblins
Another sound that is often mentioned is the shrill laughter of treasure goblins. Some describe it as snorting or giggling. Since the first “Goblin March” event in March 2025, new treasure goblin variants have emerged – and one is said by fans to be “the rarest enemy in video game history”.
