In Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, there are small bugs from the beginning that do not ruin the game but are irritating. They only affect the game minimally, yet they seem so important to players that a mod has now been developed against them.
What is this bug? Since the release of Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas over 17 years ago, numerous lip synchronization errors exist in the English voice acting. The errors are identical in both games: incorrect mouth movements for some sounds or problems with hyphens or instructions for the speakers that are in parentheses.
The two spin-offs of the series are very popular in the Fallout franchise. On Metacritic, Fallout 3 boasts a metascore of 93 and a user score of 8.2. Fallout New Vegas has a score of 84 and 8.6 on Metacritic.

Mod fixes lip movements
How was the bug fixed? The mod “Lip Motion Fix” addresses the issue. It corrects the mistakes in the mouth movements and is also compatible with many other mods that influence the synchronization.
However, the installation of the mod seems to be a bit more complicated, as an additional program must be run. If you also want to download the mod, you can do so on nexusmods.com. However, it only fixes the problems of the English voice acting.
The differences between the original and the revised version seem minimal, but upon closer inspection, they are clearly noticeable.

The “Lip Motion Fix” modification is part of a marathon by Nexus Mods, which takes place due to the second season of the Fallout series. It remains to be seen what other mods will be released for the older Fallout games.
