The new patch for Battlefield 5 brought a quirky “weapon” to the shooter: a finger gun. The character mimics a gun with their hands and fires it with homemade “Pew Pew” sounds. Players are likely to have a lot of fun with the joke – until it’s time to reload. This animation is likely to turn some stomachs.
What kind of weapon is this? With the new patch for Battlefield 5, a new joke weapon was introduced. The “handgun,” a finger gun.
The character “picks up” the weapon and forms their empty hands into a gun. When the gun is fired, your player makes homemade sounds, “Kapow” and “Pew Pew,” accompanied by comic-like pop-ups.
According to YouTuber DANNYonPC, who made a video about the latest joke, the finger gun even does 10 damage.
The hand pistol is fun until it has fired all its “bullets.” Then it needs to be reloaded.

After that, the player cheerfully continues to shoot enemies with the finger gun.
You can watch the new Easter egg in action here. Also, the aforementioned reload animation – so be warned!
Where can you find the weapon? How exactly the weapon can be found seems not to be quite clear yet. According to DANNYonPC, the finger gun is said to be rare, as he had to switch servers about 20 times to find it.
The video shows a small box with a green light, on which a shovel spins in a certain direction. The YouTuber follows the direction until he finds a spot to dig. There, a crate is hidden containing the finger gun.
Once you have the hand pistol, you can still switch between different weapons. However, if you die, you lose the “weapon.”
