Just before the weekend, there are again leaks about Battlefield 6 and this time it concerns the competitor of CoD: Warzone. The “Battle Royale”-mode has been revealed and fans are showing what you can roughly expect.
Does Battlefield 6 get a BR mode? Yes, and this is supposed to be accessible to anyone who has purchased Battlefield 6. So far, there have only been few details regarding the map of the Battle Royale as well as details about the player density of a round and the limit of a squad.
Just recently, DICE announced that fans will soon be able to test the mode through Battlefield Labs, but it was not quite clear when this would happen – until now. Some players have been able to play the mode according to Reddit, as they published the leaks in the form of video recordings and shared their experiences with the community.
14-minute recordings of the Battle Royale released
What can fans expect? Two videos have been uploaded on Reddit, in which the gameplay of the Battle Royale was demonstrated. The first video lasts over 11 minutes and shows how you can control your boats and tanks in the match and how the exploration of the surrounding terrain works.
The second video is shorter and goes over 2 minutes. It shows the menu as well as the starting sequence. What fans notice especially just before the start of a round is how the squad enters the map.
You start your round in a four-man squad. As a squad, you all jump out of the plane at the same time, following the squad leader. This strongly resembles shooters like Apex Legends, where the same feature is used to keep the squad together at the start of a match.
What do fans think of the leaks? Many fans are open to the Battle Royale in Battlefield 6 and are curious about what impact its release will have on the player base. The following can be heard:
- “Looks like they are using the Apex system where the jump of the entire squad is controlled by one player unless you separate from the group. That’s a good thing.” – Bednarz

For now, the mode is only available in Battlefield Labs, but the closer the release of the shooter gets, the sooner everyone who has purchased the shooter can play the mode. It remains to be seen how opinions will develop regarding the release.
