In Helldivers 2, the developers have signed off for vacation, but a bug is annoying players so much that they wish the developers would fix it even while on holiday.
What kind of bug is it? In Helldivers 2, the brave soldiers of Over-Earth are currently dealing with an annoying bug that renders a popular weapon unusable. The affected weapon is the PLAS-45 Epoch, which players refer to as “Epoch”.
It was rendered unusable in one of the recent patches. No matter how many hours a Helldiver has spent in shooting practice, with the “Epoch”, players currently cannot hit any enemy. However, a prompt adjustment by the developers does not seem to be forthcoming, as they are now on vacation.

Summer vacation causes trouble
What is going on with the developers? The developers of Helldivers 2 come from Sweden, where students have long summer vacations. These are probably a welcome change from the long winters in Scandinavia.
The developers of Helldivers 2 are joining in and taking a two-week company vacation. On X.com, the development studio Arrowhead Game Studios announced that instead of being in Over-Earth for the next two weeks, they would prefer to spend time by the lakes, enjoying tactical sunbathing and Fika (a Swedish tradition similar to tea time in the UK or coffee and cake in Germany).
The game continues to run in the meantime, but new patches are not expected during the two-week vacation period.
How are the fans reacting to the vacation? The brave soldiers of Helldivers 2 are annoyed that the bug was not fixed before the developers went on vacation. Players like the “Epoch” and are not very understanding towards the developers. On Reddit, they write:

Although the developers of Helldivers 2 are on vacation, players can continue to play, but probably for now without one of their favorite weapons. The developers have already announced that they will return fully charged from their vacation.
