Hackers become burglars
What is it about the hackers in Dune: Awakening? Again and again, posts from players can be found on Reddit, stating that after logging in, they find looted crates that only lack money and spice. This also happened to player -Necron-Overlord- on Reddit.
He is a solo player, and only he has access rights to his base. However, one day when he logged in, all his spice was gone.
Another case is described by CoruscantGuardFox on Reddit. He shows his base, apparently ravaged by hackers. According to his post, hackers teleported into the base, eliminated his group, and looted the crates.
That such cases also occur in the supposedly safe Hagga basin is shown by the Reddit post by Unanonymous553. He even hid his most important resources in a secret chest, but when he logged in one day, his hidden spice and plastanium bars were missing.
How can one protect themselves? Although it is unclear whether hackers or bugs are responsible for the missing items, the currently safest way is to store the most important and expensive items in the bank. This is located in Arrakeen or Harko Village and offers each player a personal storage compartment.
There, money and everything spice that is not currently needed for crafting should be stored. Spice is currently the most valuable resource in Dune: Awakening, and is therefore particularly worth protecting. The money, on the other hand, can be deposited into the bank account and has no limit.
