Since September 23, Diablo 4 has entered Season 10. With the new content, there are also new strongest builds, but this time it seems there is something for everyone – at least the community recognizes this based on the first tier lists.
This is what the current tier list looks like:
- In the tier list for Season 10 of Diablo 4, each of the 6 classes currently has at least one, often even two or more builds in the S-tier, the highest rank.
- According to Diablo expert Rob, each of these builds is capable of mastering the Pit at level 105 or higher – something that is still considered a major challenge and has become significantly harder since the changes to difficulty.
- Besides balance changes, one reason for shifts and the strength of certain builds in Season 10 is the use of chaos powers: the new mechanic of Season 10 alters how certain abilities function.
This is what players say about it: Typically, especially at the beginning of a season, forums, social media, and especially Reddit are flooded with all kinds of discussions, where praise and criticism usually balance each other out.
In a larger thread on Reddit, one player points out that the balance in the tier list delivers exactly the variety that has been awaited for a long time. Each class has at least one build with which it can compete at the top.
While there are still requests in the comments for specific builds that have never or rarely been at the top – along with some criticism of exactly that – many users agree. However, it is also said: that is not so unusual.
“Build diversity has been great for several seasons now”
In the top comment, one user states that Diablo 4 has been doing a good job balancing the classes for several seasons. While many users agree here, there are also dissenting voices: especially hunters have often been at a disadvantage.
In a direct comparison with the best classes and builds from the previous Season 9, it can be seen that there were at least two classes without an S-tier build: hunters and barbarians. However, it is also said: hunters have the best balance overall – perhaps not the best builds, but everything is somehow usable without real losers.
Nevertheless, many fans agree that the balance has improved significantly and Season 10 has had a strong start in this regard.
Overall, Season 10 is well received at least directly at launch. Players particularly praise that Blizzard has brought numerous small quality improvements, which makes Diablo 4 significantly more enjoyable to play.
How long this praise lasts remains to be seen. Often there is another wave of criticism a few weeks after the season starts – then, when the gamer dads have reached the endgame and grind. However, the negative sentiment has become more moderate in the last seasons.
In any case, Diablo 4 is a game that you can also simply leave for a while. Unlike, for example, Path of Exile 2, you can play for a while, do not have to get overly involved, and can still achieve something. That is the great strength of the game: players explain how to play Diablo 4 best without getting annoyed
