What is known so far about the Casino DLC in GTA 5 Online?
When is the release? In the official announcement, Rockstar states that “The Diamond Casino & Resort” will open sometime this summer. Summer began on June 21st. The “Summer 2019” lasts until September 23rd – so Rockstar has time to release the Casino DLC by then.
What contents are confirmed? According to the announcement, the casino is said to offer something for every taste. “Generous facilities, exclusive shopping opportunities, top-class entertainment, and state-of-the-art gambling options” are advertised on the Rockstar Games website.
There are mentions of a luck wheel that is said to offer the chance for “life-changing wins.” Challenging table games are also part of the casino. It is still unclear which games are specifically meant.
According to Rockstar, the casino will be “the largest and most extravagant opening in the sprawling metropolis of Los Santos.”
With what money do players play? The community is already pondering whether players can use their GTA dollars to pay their stakes in the gambling games. This is viewed skeptically, because GTA dollars can be unlocked with Shark Cards, which are purchased with “real money.” Will Rockstar allow players to gamble with these?
