Three bottles of an energy drink and a backpack recently sold for over €150,000 on eBay. A player of the online shooter Fortnite won the prize through a special map.
What kind of action was that?
- The controversial YouTuber Logan Paul and KSI have been running a beverage brand, Prime, together since 2022: it’s something like the “Gönrgy” of England.
- To promote the brand, the two YouTubers regularly launch special events: in January 2024, they held a competition in Fortnite on their own official map.
- Players were placed in a “Red vs. Blue” format and used turrets to eliminate the competition. Those who ranked highest on the leaderboard at the end won a prize.
Fortnite collaborates practically with everyone, whether it’s with Lego or challenging YouTubers:
How could one participate in the competition? The code to play on the special Fortnite map was 5884-5358-0228.
The prize was 3 bottles of energy drink, which were only available in this way
What kind of prize was that? The prize seems surprisingly unremarkable at first glance:
- there are 3 small bottles of the energy drink Prime
- a relatively plain backpack with the label Prime Hydration
In stores, a bottle of Prime Hydration costs about €2.50 – the backpack might sell for about €30. Overall, that’s a prize worth approximately €40.
However, these special drinks are not available for sale in stores; they are limited editions.
These 3 bottles were intended only for the competition. They symbolized the “Red vs. Blue” battle in Fortnite.
Anyone wanting to know how these special mixes taste had to win the competition – or now reach deep into their pockets, as these drinks suddenly became available for sale.

Huge demand and bidding war for Fortnite bottles
This is what happened with the prize: One of the winners of the Fortnite tournament went ahead and listed their prize on British eBay as “Limited Edition”.
It was said: “Over 100,000 were bid to win these bottles.”
And indeed, the demand for the 3 bottles seems to be enormous. Although the competition took place only in January 2024, the bids skyrocketed and the 3 bottles along with the backpack sold for over £131,700 after more than 200 bids. That is about €154,339.23.
Even the creator of Prime, KSI, seems to shudder at the prices.
€50,000 per bottle would indeed be an expensive refreshment
Whether the buyer has immediately downed the bottles for €50,000 each or is keeping them cold to potentially sell them for an even higher price in a few years is unknown.
In any case, the purchase has caused quite a stir among collectors of energy drinks that actually exist.
Until MontanaBlack can call such prices for his Gönrgy, several energy drinks must surely flow down the throats of players.
One thing is clear, no one should offend their drink:
