A player experienced something quite strange in the open beta of Battlefield 6 after tripping over a rock.
What happened to this player? What exactly occurred is shown in a clip on Reddit. He shared this in r/Battlefield, the largest subreddit dedicated to the shooter series.

Player trips over a rock, falls out of first-person view
The post shows the exact sequence of events: At the beginning, the player was sprinting with a gun in hand when he veered off the path into rocky terrain. Small stones protrude from the ground, which players would usually just run over in games.
However, the player trips over the stones and takes a lot of damage, but that’s not all. Shortly after the player stumbled, he appears to keep running. He was torn out of the first-person view in which Battlefield 6 is typically played.
The player can still move, but his camera remains stuck at the accident site. This results in him distancing himself so far from it that he can no longer see himself – and gets shot by enemies.

The fans take it with humor: The clip is greeted with humor by the community on Reddit. They immediately start cracking jokes about it:

What really happened there? It’s likely not a hidden feature. Reddit user syo speculates: “Probably just a sync thing. The client thinks he’s dead, but the server does not” (on Reddit). This could also explain why the player is in some sort of death cam, even though he is still alive.
