A player survives in the endgame of Diablo 4 with 1 HP against overly strong enemies, only to be disappointed by his loot.
Diablo 4 can sometimes be quite challenging. Just a moment ago, you were casually smashing a few demons and gathering your loot, when suddenly you find yourself in the midst of seemingly endless hordes of enemies, fighting for your survival. As if the battle wasn’t stressful enough, you run out of health potions – your character is already staring death in the face.
A Reddit user found himself in a similar situation in Diablo 4 and dramatically managed to save himself to the long-awaited loot. However, it was hardly worth mentioning.
What happened to the player? In a clip posted on Reddit, the user “petitbeurre” is overwhelmed by countless enemies. He is currently playing the world event Helltide in the endgame of Diablo 4 on world tier 3 and is just a few hit points away from death.
For almost half a minute, petitbeurre dodges all attacks from the aggressively inclined creatures that are out for his life. He has only 1 HP left and no health potions in his inventory. But petitbeurre does well, evading hits and additionally using his sorceress’s abilities to gain distance.
About 20 seconds before the end of the event, he finds the desperately needed healing, shortly thereafter making it to the coveted Helltide Chest and opens the “Tormented Gifts” for 250 of his collected embers.
We are embedding the Reddit post with the clip of the scenario here:
Player disappointed by loot
Was the fight worth it? No, while petitbeurre survived the Helltide, the chest he opened at the end of the clip disappointed him. It contained:
- Scrimshaw Band (Holy)
- 2 Forgotten Souls
- 2 Fiend Roses
- 1 Forgotten Soul
- Elder Staff (Holy)
- Caldean Plate (Holy)
- 493 Gold
- A legendary amulet (Holy)
The highlight of the chest was the one legendary amulet that dropped. However, that also failed to impress. A commentator also writes: “For a holy Legendary… man, the game is frustrating,” to which petitbeurre responds: “Moreover, it was garbage.”
Are Helltide events worth it? Helltide events promise that you will get items with high item power as well as some new “Holy” or “Embraced” gear.
But apart from the loot, which can sometimes be disappointing, you can mainly receive the materials “Devil’s Rose” and “Lost Souls” here. You need them to upgrade and customize your gear.
By the way, on August 2nd, the patch notes for patch 1.1.1 were released. You can find an overview on MeinMMO:
