A buyer tries his luck at the end of the year and orders a high-end gaming PC at a promotional price. However, the joy is short-lived, as shortly afterwards his order is canceled and the PC is no longer available.
What happened to the user? The player Senior_Ball_9068 reports in his post on Reddit from 01/02/2026, that he ordered a gaming PC on the Corsair website on 12/31/2025. A few days later, he supposedly received an email in which the company canceled the order without providing a reason.
The offer is for the Vengeance a5100 Gaming PC at a promotional price of $3,499 or about €3,000. According to the Reddit user, reordering was no longer possible for him, as the price of the PC had increased by $800, approximately €684 (as of 01/05/2026).
In his post, he speculates that Corsair intentionally cancels orders to raise prices. But then a community manager from Corsair comes to his aid.

Unexpected help on Reddit saves the day
How could his post help him? After Senior_Ball_9086 made his post, the user CorsairLucky commented on the same day. He expressed his sympathy for his situation and offered help.
The helpful Reddit user is, according to his own profile, a community manager in the Corsair subreddit.
In two follow-up comments to his original comment, he supposedly contacted the buyer and identified the problem. An automatic fraud detection system was said to have canceled the order.
He explains that Corsair has sent the buyer a coupon so that he could purchase the PC again at the promotional price. Both users are also supposed to stay in contact to ensure a smooth ordering process. However, caution is also advised in the transport of hardware, as another user had to find out that the contents of his package were replaced during delivery.
