The official release date for Battlefield 5 has been postponed to November 20, 2018. However, depending on the platform, the version of the game, and some additional services, players have the opportunity to jump into the battles earlier.
How you can play Battlefield 5 starting November 9
The earliest date that players can start was actually November 9, 2018.
Surprising change: EA has made an early start and allows Origin Access Premier subscribers to begin today, November 8, in Battlefield 5.
On PS4: Unfortunately, there is no way for PS4 players to start on November 9.
On Xbox One: Fans on Xbox One will be able to play a 10-hour trial version of Battlefield 5 starting November 9, provided they have subscribed to the paid service EA Access.
On PC: On PC, subscribers of the paid game subscription service Origin Access can start as early as November 8. However, there is a difference between Origin Access Basic and Origin Access Premier:
- If you have subscribed to Origin Access Basic, you will be able to play a 10-hour trial version of Battlefield 5 starting November 9.
- If you are an Origin Access Premier subscriber, you can enjoy the full game starting November 8.
By the way: On Xbox One and PC, the preload for Battlefield 5 has already started.
How to play Battlefield 5 starting November 15
If you have not subscribed to any of the mentioned additional game services, there is still a way to get started even before the official launch.
All owners of the Battlefield 5 Deluxe Edition will be able to start early on November 15 – on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. So if you want to start 5 days earlier, you must opt for the more expensive version of Battlefield 5.
Official release of Battlefield 5 takes place on November 20
The official launch for the latest installment of Battlefield 5 will take place on November 20, 2018.
Everyone who buys the regular version of Battlefield 5 for PS4, Xbox One, or PC will only be able to start on that day. There is no way for them to get into the fight on the 8 maps available at release.
