The Twitch streamers around PietSmiet bring a popular mode to Minecraft and invite many German streamers.
What kind of competition is this? The content creators Peter, Brammen, Jay, Chris, and Sep are all faces of PietSmiet. They now want to invite other German Twitch streamers to the mode “Hunger Games” in Minecraft. They announced this on their website pietsmiet.live and call the project Minecraft PIROL.
The mode is about surviving the longest. Like in the franchise “The Hunger Games”, players are placed in an arena and must survive with the resources available there. Players must find food and defend themselves against other players with the weapons they find.
Each participant has the same conditions, and anyone can find and use anything. It is essentially a battle royale mode in Minecraft, known by another name. The last one standing wins the Hunger Games.
The abbreviation PIROL comes from the words PietSmiet, Roleplay, and Live.
Twitch Streamers Fight for Survival in Minecraft
What do the teams look like? It will be played in pairs, and the entire project is supposed to include a roleplay aspect. This means that participants must come up with roles they will play during the Hunger Games.
Which Twitch streamers are participating? A total of 80 German-speaking Twitch streamers are participating in Minecraft PIROL. This results in exactly 40 teams for pairs. There are big names like Kevin “Papaplatte” Teller, Paul “Krokoboss”, and Mahluna among them.
When does the event take place? A countdown is visible on the website: The event takes place on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. It starts with the pre-show at 6:00 PM, and the Twitch streamers begin the survival battle at 7:00 PM. The entire event is expected to run until around 11:00 PM.
Where can you watch? Each Twitch streamer streams their perspective on their own Twitch channel. This allows viewers to choose any perspective they want. However, no help should be accepted from the Twitch chat.
The main event will be broadcasted on twitch.tv/pietsmiet, where the pre-show will also take place.
