The MMO Phantasy Star Online 2 regularly collaborates with trendy anime series, now it’s Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei, The irregular at magic highschool.
While the MMO shooter Defiance has partnered with the series of the same name produced for the Syfy channel, Phantasy Star Online 2 regularly forms partnerships with currently popular anime series. Starting August 13th, there will be a cross-promotion on the Japanese server for Phantasy Star Online with “The irregular at magic highschool”, an anime set in the science fiction and action genre.

As part of this cross-promotion, Phantasy Star Online 2 will introduce new costumes inspired by the series that will resemble school uniforms.
Phantasy Star Online 2 is also currently playable in Southeast Asia with an English version. Whether this MMO, with deep Sega roots, will have its own server for North America and thus the Western market remains uncertain at the moment.
