Purchase Recommendations for PC Monitors
As with previous guides, only a few suggestions from different price ranges are made here. And again, it depends on personal preferences, especially regarding color fidelity or resolution.
Asus VS238H-P

Full HD, high contrast ratio, low response time, and 24 inches make the device a good all-round monitor with a TN panel. It has VGA, DVI, and HDMI.
Asus VE278H

A little more expensive and thus slightly better. Now with 27 inches and 2 HDMI ports. So if you want a slightly larger screen, this model is quite suitable.
BenQ XL2430T

Also of very good quality is the model from BenQ, with LED-TFT and TN panel. Full HD is present, but 24 instead of 27 inches. The high price compared to the Asus model is due to the 144 Hz. If this value is important, you will be pleased with this device.
Samsung U28D590D

With 3840×2160 pixels, this is UHD resolution. Color reproduction and viewing angle stability are convincing. However, this is still a TN panel. For entry into UHD resolution, this is a good model with 60 Hertz.
Asus PB279Q

Also 60Hz and UHD but this time with IPS. This achieves a significantly better color reproduction. The response time does suffer somewhat with this panel but is still sufficient. Only in extremely fast games could streaking occur. In the under €1000 range, you will hardly find a better IPS device.
Eizo EV3237-BK

This IPS device offers almost everything one can expect in this price range: a good resolution, 31.5 inches, height adjustment, and further comfort features. For example, sensors that measure the brightness of the room, so that the monitor can adjust accordingly. An infrared sensor is also included, which detects the user’s absence, so that an energy-saving mode can be activated.
The device has weaknesses in the color range, which unfortunately is too limited. Since the hardware cannot be calibrated accordingly, the monitor is not suitable for demanding image editing tasks. The same goes for games as with the previous device: mostly sufficient, but could lead to problems if things get a bit faster.
