Games like Destiny 2: The Division
The Division was released in 2016 as an alternative to Destiny. After an initial hype, difficulties with bugs and balance issues appeared. Later, the game entered a phase of “content drought.” However, no one starting with The Division now has to burden themselves with that. The shooter is significantly better than its reputation.
Currently, the game is in a stable state with update 1.7, and the shooter is fun. The solo player campaign has always been excellent, and it’s worth playing through.

Returnees who haven’t touched The Division for a year or longer will find a fundamentally changed game, with which they can pass the time until the end of October.
- What speaks for The Division: Many players will already have it on their shelf and can dust it off again now. The Division is a high-quality alternative to Destiny: The scenario of the fall of New York is as dark as the fall of humanity in Destiny. There’s loot and plenty of MMO elements. The atmosphere of the game is outstanding. You can also train your teamwork here if that’s new to you.
- What speaks against The Division? Like Warframe, it is not a first-person shooter. The mechanics are different. It’s more about equipping the agent correctly and playing smart than about aiming skills like in Destiny.

- How can I play The Division right now? If you don’t own a version of The Division, consider buying a used one, perhaps on eBay, or keep your eyes open for bargains. You should be able to get the game for around €15.
