The developers of Path of Exile have announced their new season. It is clear for the fans, a successful feature from the successor is absolutely necessary for the new league.
What is this feature? Asynchronous trading has changed Path of Exile 2 in a way that few other features ever could. This was particularly evident in the last season, where the fans also found great joy in the game, which was not so much the case in the league before.
Previously, players regularly struggled with scammers, bots, and absent players during trading. With asynchronous trading, trading simply runs in the background without the risk of being scammed.
This relief brought much more joy to players in the endgame of Path of Exile 2, where it is difficult to obtain the perfect gear for one’s character without trading with other players.

What do the players demand? Players have been demanding asynchronous trading in the form of an auction house or trading post for years before Path of Exile 2. With the new installment, however, the calls became louder, and the developers decided to listen to the fans and incorporate the new trading system.
Now the new league of Path of Exile (1) is coming, and fans are demanding on Reddit that the new trading system be added for the first part as well. Due to the similarity of both games, this feature could probably be implemented quickly.
Developers also promised at the release of the feature in Part 2 that they would later bring it to the predecessor, as long as there are no issues (cf. PathofExile.com). However, they have achieved this, and there were no major incidents regarding the new trading system.
When does the new league start? The developers of Path of Exile announced on PathofExile.com that the new league is set to start on time for Halloween on October 31, 2025.
Before the season starts, there will be a livestream where the developers will present the new features and changes and where it will also be clarified whether the requested change will really be implemented in this season.
