In Path of Exile 2 has added a large collection of new Support Gems to the loot pool: the Lineage Support Gems. Which ones are there, what effects do they bring, and how can you get them best? You can find out here.
What are Lineage Support Gems? With the release of Update 0.3, Lineage Support Gems were introduced in Path of Exile 2: The Third Edict for the first time. These gems differ dramatically in appearance and functionality from the Support Gems that fans can create themselves through base gems.
They are powerful, can significantly change a build, and offer allusions to past enemies and characters that fans should know from Path of Exile 1 through their appearance. As some builds are now based on these Lineage Support Gems, we show you a list of all specimens and their effects in German and explain where you can reliably obtain these gems.

Where can you find the new gems? There are two options for how you can acquire such gems:
- You farm various maps in your Atlas with the focus on reaching certain maps that have a “Deadly Boss”. These are tougher bosses than you are used to.
- Here, there is a high chance of obtaining one of these gems, but they are not a guaranteed drop.
- Note that some gems are also tied to specific activities and bosses, such as Zarokhs Refrain in the trials of the Sekhemas.
- Some gems also drop in the surrounding map when you destroy furniture and urns or open chests. The chance is very low, though.
- You go to Ange and open the currency exchanger with her.
- There you can then purchase your desired gem for a certain amount of Exalts, Divs, or similar currencies.
- Note that prices can fluctuate as you spend more time in the league and the market becomes saturated. So be quick and watch the prices.
These were all the current Lineage Support Gems you should know about. New specimens are expected to be implemented over time to offer more build variations.
