This new map is coming to Nuclear Winter: As announced in a short post from ZAX on Bethesda.net, the new battle royale mode “Nuclear Winter” will get a new map where players can compete against each other.
Instead of previously in Flatwoods, you will now also have the opportunity to fight in Morgantown and Grafton. This map has some unique features that are missing in Flatwoods:
- Focus on house and city combat
- steep cliffs and large bodies of water as a contrast
- new enemies like RAD Scorpions, which do not exist in Flatwoods
Players are advised to bring perks that provide better mobility and improve performance in water. This, of course, applies in addition to the other tips for Nuclear Winter that the developers already shared at Quakecon.
Additionally, player matchmaking is now supposed to include players from around the world, and with new challenges, you will receive temporary Morgantown rewards.
This is how Fallout 76 is being improved: Besides the new map, Update 13 mainly focuses on fixing old bugs and improving existing features instead of overloading the game with more content. So far, it is known that:
- some events will be made significantly more enjoyable and clearer for players. What exactly is changing, you will find out in our changes to the events of Fallout 76
- the servers are expected to run more stable. Since Patch 12, there have been major performance issues that should now be fixed
- a problem with power armor is being worked on, which has proven to be more complex than anticipated. This fix will not come directly with Update 13 but is scheduled for a future hotfix and is under development
- the new Raid Vault 94 should finally provide better loot for players, making it worth visiting
Several smaller adjustments will also be made. You can find the complete patch notes on the official website of Bethesda.
