Epic Games’ Moba Paragon has been in open beta for PC and PS4 for a week now. The weekly update is now addressing match length.
The (driving) Drummer
Narbash, the drummer with the supportive rhythms, once turned a fight into a dance-off, all through the power of his mesmerizing beats – so the legend goes.
The latest hero in Paragon’s roster is not one for soft tones. With his drums strapped in front of him, he empowers himself and his team, propelling them to victory through a movement speed and health regeneration buff. Narbash is available to every hobby musician and full-time support starting today, August 23.
The Problem with Match Length
But the noise-maker Narbash is not the only thing making its way into the Moba with update 30.1. This time, attention is once again focused on the, according to the developer Epic Games, still too high average match length.
For this reason, the base value of energy or physical resistance for group 1 towers has been reduced from 65 to 44. Furthermore, group 2 towers now have only 2,100 health points instead of 2,500.
Additionally, the large carrier of the main orb has been affected, losing a total of 3000 health points. This orb will no longer respawn after 10 minutes as before, but will do so after just 8 minutes.
These changes, however, are not set in stone and will continue to be monitored by the developers after implementation. After all, they don’t want a game to be too short, thereby limiting carries’ ability to fully unleash their potential.
