Every 3 weeks, Epic Games introduces a new character in the battle for Agora at Paragon. The new addition is named Khaimera. What the melee fighter can do and what this week’s card pack includes, you can read here.
The Possessed Axe Murderer
Your parents probably warned you not to go alone into the dark woods. Epic Games provides the reason for this with their latest Paragon addition named Khaimera. You definitely don’t want to meet him alone in the wilderness, otherwise, you quickly fall prey to the possessed axe murderer.
Khaimera killed a beast in his past and wears its skin like a trophy. Since then, he is connected to the spiritual world and is possessed by that very beast. Through this connection, he grows stronger the longer a fight lasts.
His passive ability “Spirit Regeneration” grants him a stack of health regeneration with every successful standard attack, which disappears after 5 seconds without hitting. However, skilled players can indeed achieve a temporarily higher regeneration than Rampage. He certainly has endurance.
“Ambush” allows you to leap at a targeted opponent from a distance, stun them, and of course deliver a few blows with his two axes. This also works if you want to attack from the lower jungle. However, this ability is not one that allows you to jump away again immediately. It is solely designed to initiate a fight.
When you are before your target, it’s time to “Unleash,” which grants you maximum attack speed for 5 seconds or for the next 5 attacks (whichever comes first). The beast within him takes control, making the axes swing.
And if you find yourself facing more than one enemy, Khaimera’s ultimate “Execution” helps you. With this, he holds his primary target in place, deals massive damage to them, and pushes away any enemy team members while slowing them down. Even the strongest tree will eventually fall with that impact.
Khaimera is not one for short “hit & run” fights – when he comes, he comes to stay. However, if you can briefly pull away so that his increased health regeneration fades, you are back in the game and might have the better cards.
Weekly Card Pack
And cards are the keyword here. What does the “Pack with Specific Cards,” as it has now been renamed, have in store for you this week?
“Madstone Gem” grants you energy damage, increased attack speed, and fully upgraded additional attack speed. The energy flies much faster! A fitting rage card for the fiery duo Iggy & Scorch or the murderous Murdock.
With “Curse of the Leech,” you also gain energy damage. True to the leech, a few health points will additionally be deducted from your target and transferred to you. Gideon and Grim.exe would be two candidates for the healing bloodsuckers, for example.
And finally, “Hunter’s Guile,” which may find its way into a deck of the killer Khaimera. This card gives your hero more health and physical damage and provides you, fully filled with upgrades, the active ability to make any negative effects disappear instantly. Very handy when Iggy sets you on fire or Grux makes you bleed.
