All details about Paragon’s founder packs
If you can’t wait until the release of Paragon, starting from March 18, 2016, you have the chance to get an early access to the game by purchasing a founder pack – both on PlayStation 4 and PC.
There are a total of 3 different packs, for 20€, 60€, and 100€. Here is a brief overview of the contents of each offer.
Founder Pack (20€)
- 3 Master Challenges (more on that below)
- 1 Booster
Challenger Founder Pack (60€)
- 13 Master Challenges
- 5 Boosters
- 1x Founder Pack for a Friend
- Exclusive “Hotrod Howitzer” Skin
Master Founder Pack (100€)
- 39 Master Challenges (including 26 unreleased heroes)
- 15 Boosters
- 1x Founder Pack for a Friend
- Exclusive “Hotrod Howitzer” Skin
Furthermore, all packs grant access to the game starting from March 18. Additionally, it is possible to link your Epic account with your PSN account. If you buy access for the PC version, you can also play on PlayStation 4 and vice versa.
What are the Master Challenges?
Unfortunately, the official website for the game does not provide much information about what exactly “Master Challenges” are. So that you don’t have to buy a pig in a poke, we did some research for you.
The different characters in Paragon can be leveled in a system from level 1 to 10. During this process, new cosmetics, such as additional emotes and special skins, are gradually unlocked, but there are no gameplay advantages. Free2Play players can only unlock rewards up to level 5; the other 5 levels (6-10) are part of the “Master Challenge” and must first be unlocked with real money, in-game currency, or by purchasing a founder pack.
Even with unlocking, you still need to level the characters to access the corresponding rewards! The developers estimate that it will take about 100 hours per character to level up to level 10.
