Since yesterday, there is a new hero in MOBA Paragon – and he is deadly. We give you an overview of his abilities and take a look at the changes to Grux and Feng Mao.
Sevarog – The soul-devouring jungle tank
With yesterday’s weekly update of the third-person action MOBA Paragon from Epic Games, the first new character has joined the 13 already playable ones since the early access phase. He is therefore the first of the heroes that will be introduced to the game at regular intervals of 3 weeks. All characters are and will remain free to play.
Sevarog is an axe-swinging tank who should initially stay in the jungle. He can consume his victims, minions as well as opposing players, accumulating soul stacks, which makes him bigger and stronger and grants him more health points. Thus, he becomes a dangerous opponent as the game progresses.
Furthermore, he can hold others in a small area, which after wearing off are additionally slowed down for a short time. This allows him to rush through other opponents to damage rooted enemies with his ultimate ability, the colossal strike, and hurl them into the arms of teammates. The damage of this ability is also influenced by his accumulated soul stacks. Therefore, it is essential to absorb any life in you to become stronger and deadlier.
Changes to melee fighters
But Sevarog is not the only novelty of the patch. The two melee fighters Grux and Feng Mao had their blades slightly nerfed, as Epic Games noticed a higher win rate with these two heroes compared to others.
The biggest change concerns Grux’s passive ability. With each minion kill, he gained 5 health points. This increase has now been capped at 2 and an upper limit of a maximum of 200 has been set. This prevents him from developing into an almost invincible damage-dealing tank in the later stages of the game.
