The Twitch streamer Kevin “Papaplatte” Teller has received awards for two special milestones on the platform. He proudly unveils them in his stream, only to break them just minutes later.
What did Papaplatte receive an award for? Twitch streamer Papaplatte has been active on Twitch for almost 10 years. Back then, he even dropped out of university to focus on the hype on Twitch and turn it into a career.
Twitch introduced awards for special milestones from Twitch streamers at last year’s TwitchCon. Papaplatte was able to snag two: one for 5 million hours of watch time and one for 50 million.
According to TwitchTracker, Papaplatte had already hit the 50 million hours of watch time four years ago, namely in April 2021. He reached the 5 million hours even 7 years ago, in June 2018.
“Break everything that can be broken”
How does Papaplatte break the award? In his Twitch stream, Papaplatte opened both packages and proudly showed the awards to the camera. Twitch sent him a purple heart for the 5 million and a gray-white one for 50 million.
He holds both in his hands as he loudly contemplates whether they can also be used as dumbbells and how much the awards actually weigh.
He then throws both hearts up, only for them to hit each other. As a result, the corners of both broke off. Papaplatte looks into the camera awkwardly before he laughs about himself.
