A Palworld player shared his new base on Reddit. However, there is criticism from the community because the design has a problem.
In Palworld, building your own base is one of the fundamental aspects of the gameplay. However, the game does not dictate how you have to build and set up your base. You decide how your storage looks.
Some players build in a more practical and small manner, without giving much thought to aesthetics. Other players, on the other hand, construct extravagant buildings into which a lot of work went and then showcase the finished work on social media.
One such user is “Jaaguri” from Reddit, who shared a screenshot of his new base taken from a bird’s eye view with the community.
What is the player proudly showing? Jaaguri posted a screenshot on the Palworld subreddit, showing his newly constructed base. For the photo, he flew over the base with the Nitewing to ensure that the layout of his storage is clearly visible.
Jaaguri mentions that he worked a total of 8 hours on the base with a friend. The photo shows six houses, a livestock farm, a breeding ground, and a whole bunch of Pal beds.
The most impressive aspect of the Reddit user’s base is, however, the circular outer wall, which he uses to protect the buildings inside as well as his Pals from attacks. The same applies to some walls inside the base that he used to create small alleys.
Player only receives criticism because his base has a problem
Why is he only receiving criticism? The comments under Jaaguri’s post are unanimous: the base looks cool, but it has a problem. Due to the arrangement of the walls inside, as well as the buildings, there is very little room for movement for the Pals.
- muguci: “I just noticed that your Suzaku-Aqua is already outside the wall; maybe you should reposition your walls so it stands exactly on the line.”
- Smell_Academic: “The cool design of the base is really compromised when a Pal is stuck in the picture.”
- Mightteer: “Looks cool, the Pals hate it. They will never work properly.”
- Kcore47: “My stupid Jormuntide Ignis would definitely get stuck on these walls.”
- turtlelord: I assume that no larger Pals are allowed?
- mojamc: “My Pals still get stuck, even though my base is relatively open. How often do you reset your Pals with this construction?”
Many players suspect that the Pals’ performance will suffer due to the tight pathways and that the Pals will get stuck at certain corners. Larger monsters like a Jormuntide will particularly encounter problems.
Even in Jaaguri’s screenshot, a Pal, a Suzaku-Aqua, is visible hanging outside the base on the outer walls.
In the comments under the post, Jaaguri himself also speaks up again and explains that he might have to move some walls again.
If you also plan to design your base elaborately and possibly equip it with walls, you should consider the movement freedom of your Pals.
