Players mainly complain that potions, endgame crafting, and catch-up gear have become incredibly expensive. However, others find the changes positive: They believe that in the old seasons, gold was so readily available that it hardly mattered. Now, it feels like it has some value.
Now Blizzard itself has commented on the current situation.

MeinMMO Demon Cortyn has dived into WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. At first, there was skepticism – now there’s sheer enthusiasm.
For a few days now, WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria is live. Cynics might say that it’s just a lukewarm rehash of an old expansion, packed with additional amenities to please the turbo-addicted community.
I’ll be completely honest: I scoffed at it initially. I loved Plunderstorm. I found it exciting and new. The prospect of running through Pandaria again didn’t appeal to me at all. But I also have to admit: I was wrong.
WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria is fun and nearly endless.
I now believe that WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria is proof that Blizzard has finally found a way to make use of the immense amount of content that World of Warcraft has again sensibly.
The effort is minimal – and the reward so great that Blizzard will likely be surprised by the success.

WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria – All Features at a Glance
Endless Power and Endless Fun
The “worst” part about the remix is actually the start. The experience is no different than with any other character. The first half hour feels like tedious questing without any special features. Fights take time and there’s no real momentum.
But then it gets better with every single quest. Because every quest grants a reward chest that can contain not only gear but also a permanent upgrade for the artifact cloak. New rewards keep popping up on the screen: Here’s 3 stamina, there’s 1 life steal, or 3% additional XP gain.
Within 2 evenings, I leveled my Night Elf warrior to level 65, and I will probably hit 70 today.
Everything sparkles and whirls with my elf – and enemies almost fall down under the charge.
My warrior doesn’t fight. She explodes into enemies.
After the charge, she throws a massive shadow sphere at the enemies. Ice projectiles attract enemies within a 40-meter radius, arriving just as the sphere explodes, causing them to lose about 70% of their health. Critical hits cause me to unleash flames and deal even more damage to all nearby enemies. Once an enemy falls below 10%, my character automatically tries to “finish” them – and if they have less health than double my maximum health, they die instantly.
Oh, and every time an enemy dies, they also explode in flames and deal fire damage to enemies and heal my allies.
In other words: As soon as an opponent dies, it triggers a chain reaction of explosions. 25 enemies lie dead in front of me, and my elf is already hopping to the next group.
Above in the buffs, you can see the current strength of your cloak.
Rewards Without End
It’s clear that a large part of the appeal comes from the numerous rewards. Bronze rains down everywhere, which you can exchange with some merchants. You can either upgrade your gear or collect transmogs, pets, mounts, and other cosmetic rewards.
I haven’t calculated how much bronze I need for everything – but the number will probably reach close to a million.
But it motivates me. There’s so much choice, so much interesting stuff, and everything is optional. If I’m not interested in the fourth color of a leather set, then I simply won’t buy it.
Those who want can focus only on the big “hits” like mounts or toys.
Everything feels quite casual and the grind is definitely satisfying. Every few hours I can treat myself and benefit from it for the rest of my WoW playtime.
How Long Will the Fun Last?
The question now is: Will it get boring soon? Will it stop being fun at some point? Because as absolutely overpowered as you are, the challenge naturally diminishes a bit.
You feel a bit like a cheater, and the appeal could be lost. Because if all enemies drop dead just by looking at them, it’s nice at first, but eventually a bit monotonous. Or?
Yes and no.
Because the remix characters live in their own cosmos and can’t access the current Dragonflight content until the end of the event, Blizzard hasn’t put chains on the power. You can literally make your character infinitely strong. Your cloak keeps gaining strength, and everything you do contributes to this power gain.
This is power that, by the way, also transfers to other characters, as the progress of your cloak is recorded with achievements that other characters can then benefit from. After my warrior, another hero will certainly follow – and they will start with a substantial amount of additional strength (and additional XP).
I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes possible in a few weeks to complete the Pandaria raids with just a small group. Heroic dungeons are probably already “solo” achievable quite early. I’ll try that out in the coming days.
I can’t predict how long I will spend in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. But I intend to earn every single reward. Not because I necessarily need every one of them. But because the Pandaria remix is simply fun, and it might just be the biggest but also the most exciting grind in WoW’s history.
You can find the vendors of the Eternal Dragon Swarm in every area – and they have many goods.
The Future of Old Content
I may be leaning a bit too far out of the window here, but I’m convinced that events like “WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria” could be the salvation for old content that hardly anyone would otherwise play.
Blizzard doesn’t seem to have the plan for “the entire world” of Azeroth to be relevant at max level. That would probably be quite overwhelming. But taking a single expansion and saying for 3 months: “Here, play this again and try out absolutely crazy abilities” – that’s a nearly perfect solution.
The work Blizzard has to do here is comparatively minimal. Sure, it requires variety in other events of this kind, maybe new abilities or other features.
Even if no one wants to hear this yet: In my mind’s eye, I already see a “WoW Remix: Shadowlands” in 2 or 3 years with the twist that the anima powers from Torghast can also be found and used everywhere in the open world. Or how about a “Remix: Battle for Azeroth,” where many of the Azerite powers from back then can be used simultaneously?
The possibilities are nearly endless, and Pandaria shows that the concept works.
So far, this kind of content recycling is just one thing: magnificent.
So if you’re still skeptical, just take 2 hours and check it out. You might like it more than you initially think.

The rumor mill is buzzing because 7 influencers have taken a media break. Could this be related to the new season of 7 vs. Wild? MeinMMO has taken a closer look.
Who are the 7 influencers supposed to be the candidates? The 4th season of 7 vs. Wild is said to only feature 7 candidates again. The following are under suspicion:
Influencer and streamer LetsHugo
YouTuber Julia Beautx
Fitness influencer Flying Uwe
Outdoor expert Fritz Meinecke
Outdoor influencer Survival_Deutschland
Fitness influencer Jennifer Zienert
Comedy influencer Selfiesandra
All 7 individuals are suspected to be involved in the new season of 7 vs. Wild. Clever Reddit users and the YouTuber nykesname have found hints about this. However, there is still a lack of evidence specifically pointing to 7 vs. Wild; only one participant can be linked to an outdoor project more concretely.
One of the potential participants is said to be LetsHugo:
Start video
He dropped out of school because streaming was more important to him – The success of LetsHugo
Hints point to the new season
What hints are there? All potential candidates are taking a media break, and they are doing so at about the same time. LetsHugo announced his break to his community via WhatsApp, writing:
So here now only for you, I’m completely away from now on, I’m a bit scared but it’ll be fine, we’ll see each other again on May 27, Hugo is stepping down now.
Julia Beautx also announced her break a bit sadly. On Instagram, she says: “The next few weeks, a bit will be posted here in my name. So don’t be surprised. But I’m off now, love you all.”
Selfiesandra and Survival_Deutschland are also taking a 3-week media break. In the last story from Survival_Deutschland, Selfiesandra was even supposedly heard in the background; according to our ears, it may also have been someone else.
It gets particularly interesting with fitness influencer Jennifer Zienert. In one of her videos, she says, “[…] has to go on a little mission. But I can’t say this officially yet, she will be transported once by airplane to a distant place and has to fight for her survival there […]” That sounds very much like 7 vs. Wild, but it could also be another show like Desert Warrior.
There are still several more pieces of evidence suggesting the participants might be involved, some are more clear than others. For example, a new Twitch channel by Survival_Deutschland is seen as confirmation for future react formats. Hiking boots in a video by Flying Uwe are also regarded by some as a hint for participation in 7 vs. Wild.
The video with hints about Jennifer Zienert caught the attention of YouTuber nykesname; you can watch his video here:

It is unlikely that the new season is being filmed now
Why is this unlikely? When looking at the participants, the organization, and everything around it, the timing for a new season seems rather illogical.
For the involved influencers, 7 vs. Wild is most worthwhile because of the preparation videos. Since the participants are offline for 3 weeks, that means also 3 weeks of no income. For this reason, many film preparation videos to generate attention for the brand 7 vs. Wild. Filming the season secretly now seems very unusual.
Additionally, the timing for the season is much earlier than usual. All seasons of 7 vs. Wild have so far been filmed in August/September and then released during the pre-Christmas period. The logical consequence should be a filming location that is only possible now due to temperatures and weather conditions.
Isn’t it unusual for people to go offline at the same time? It can always be a big coincidence, but even if some of the candidates are participating in a show, the theory doesn’t necessarily have to be entirely true. It is also conceivable that some other show is preventing some of the participants from being available. Shows with German influencers are becoming increasingly popular, after all.
There could be a lot behind the “disappeared” individuals, but so far there are no concrete hints pointing to 7 vs. Wild. People on Reddit are always very clever when it comes to monitoring all social media channels of “7 vs. Wild” participants. For instance, it was found that a team from the last season was only 400 meters away from a hotel: “Embarrassing marketing construct” – A team in 7 vs. Wild was apparently only 400 meters from a hotel

Soon, with Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, a new film by director George Miller in the Mad Max universe will be released. While there have been no known issues during filming for Furiosa, it was different for Fury Road. This was particularly due to lead actor Tom Hardy.
Mad Max: Fury Road was released in 2015 by director George Miller. The main roles are played by Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy. The film is considered one of the best action movies of the last 10 years and has won 6 Oscars, including for costume design and editing.
However, filming the movie was not always easy, as George Miller recently revealed in an interview with The Telegraph. A major issue was the disputes between lead actors Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, who have also criticized Hollywood.
You can watch the trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road here:

Mad Max: Fury Road – German Trailer
Hardy was constantly late to filming
In the interview with The Telegraph, the 79-year-old director speaks about filming with the two well-known actors. He says that the two are very different interpreters. While Theron was reportedly ready for filming at 8 AM, Tom Hardy was someone who arrived hours late.
George Miller states that he had to be lured out of his dressing room. This is in stark contrast to Charlize Theron, who was disciplined and always on time as the first one on set. Despite these difficulties, Miller says that both actors delivered excellent performances in their own way.
I saw their behavior as a way to reflect their characters, who need to learn to work together to ensure mutual survival.
However, there were also problems between Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy, as NBC News reports. In the book Blood, Sweat & Chrome, Theron describes the relationship between the two actors as that of parents driving in a car together. We either fought or didn’t speak at all, and I don’t know which is worse.
PietSmiet has been active on YouTube for 13 years now and is also successful on Twitch. In an interview with MeinMMO, Dennis Brammen talks about how the content has changed over the years and how they continually reinvent themselves.
Who are they? PietSmiet is a five-member gaming group that performs together on YouTube and Twitch. It consists of Jonathan Apelt, Dennis Brammen, Sebastian Lenßen, Peter Smits, and Christian Stachelhaus. Since autumn 2010, the guys have been publishing videos on YouTube.
It all started with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but over the years, many other games and formats were added. With 2.47 million subscribers, the group is one of the most popular gaming channels on German-speaking YouTube.
In the interview, Brammen from PietSmiet discussed with MeinMMO how to remain relevant even after such a long time in the industry.
On Twitch, PietSmiet primarily hosts larger events such as their annual charity event Friendly Fire with Gronkh:
Start video
Friendly Fire 8 is starting soon – Gronkh & Co. collect donations in the millions annually
Something New More Often
How has PietSmiet changed: When asked which change has been the most important for PietSmiet in recent years, Brammen explains that it cannot be tied to one major event. Instead, the group continually reinvents itself:
What we have realized over the years is that there are always moments when we abruptly change our content. Because we just say, let’s try something new now.
The first gaming videos on the YouTube channel of PietSmiet are recordings of their matches in CoD. Relatively quickly, the group started publishing Let’s Plays of EVE Online. Later, other games like Half-Life and Portal were added. The individual episodes were quite short, with a runtime of 10 to 15 minutes.
This then turned into complete Let’s Plays of games, Brammen explains. But there are also videos that veer away from the classic “I just play and let you watch” format, says the YouTuber. It’s more about taking the game to absurdity.
Currently, the concept is according to Brammen: “More standalone videos, fewer games, more gameplay, also in terms of quiz shows.”
Cooking, quizzes, and standalone gameplay videos – this is what PietSmiet’s videos look like today
Additionally, there’s Twitch: Although PietSmiet primarily identifies as YouTubers, they are also active on the streaming platform.
On Twitch, there are large, elaborately produced live events such as a camping trip or an e-kart tournament. With their events, PietSmiet reaches several tens of thousands of simultaneous viewers (via SullyGnome).
Just Go for It
How do you continually reinvent yourselves? MeinMMO also wanted to know and asked how PietSmiet approaches trying out new formats.
PietSmiet is no longer just the 5 gamers: As Brammen explains, they have a team of 22 people, and a planning conference is held once a week. The basic rule is: “If someone has an idea, we just do it.”
Many ideas may only perform moderately, but sometimes there’s something “really great” among them, says the YouTuber.
The community also plays a big role: On one hand, viewers determine the success of a format with their views. But fans can also directly influence things. On the PietSmiet website, they can submit ideas for new formats, which are then voted on in a reddit-like system.
Viewers can also submit ideas for game shows or quiz formats. Through this direct engagement from the community, the guys from PietSmiet can continually deliver what their audience wants to see – and this has paid off for over 13 years now.
A surprising success for PietSmiet was the simulation “Kebab Chefs!” As Brammen reveals, he cannot explain why this particular game among so many games that appear daily on Steam became so successful. This creates an interesting dynamic, as such quirky games can benefit from the attention of content creators: Twitch streamers make strange games famous for 24 hours, and viewers love it

In a find related to Pokémon GO, there are hints of a significant improvement in team play. We will explain what this improvement is.
What is team play? Team play is a feature in Pokémon GO that allows you to go on adventures together with your friends. This feature provides you with benefits, such as stronger charge attacks in raids and shared challenges that you can tackle together.
The benefits of team play definitely have their justification, so you should use team play more often if you have the opportunity. A find related to Pokémon GO now suggests that there could be another improvement to this feature. And it’s a significant one.

Pokémon GO: It’s time to #RediscoverGO!
Entire group benefits from items
What is the find about? The find, discovered by the PokéMiners and shared on Reddit, is about the sharing of items in the team play feature. The PokéMiners are a group that regularly searches the code of Pokémon GO for new content.
The find is not about sending and trading items, but about benefiting from items that have been activated by one trainer in the group. For example, if one trainer activates a Star Piece, the rest of the team play group could also benefit and receive part of the effect.
As stated in a text discovered in the find: Share items with your group. Each group member receives a part of the item’s effects.
When does this improvement start? Since this is merely a find in the data of Pokémon GO and not an official statement from Niantic, one cannot say for certain when this feature will make its way into the game, or whether it will at all.
In the past, finds from the PokéMiners have often resulted in updates that eventually made their way into the game. For instance, they reported on the Master Ball, which they found in the code early last year.
What does the community say about it? Various comments can be found on Reddit regarding the find. While some are excited about it, there are also critical voices.
Holy smokes! Sharing premium items, writes one trainer on Reddit
This mainly benefits cheaters with multiple accounts, says another trainer on Reddit
The likelihood of being allowed to share premium items is 0%. That would cost Niantic a fortune and multi-accounts would soar, this trainer also states on Reddit
It remains to be seen whether and in what form this feature will be implemented in Pokémon GO. If there is official information about this, we will report it to you.
What do you think about it? Do you wish for this feature? Or are you more skeptical and think it would mainly benefit unfair players in Pokémon GO? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments. For a long time, the popular series “Monster Hunter” could not be played on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, but that changed in 2018 with Monster Hunter World. The studio Phoenix Labs recognized the gap in 2016 and wanted to offer an alternative with the MMO Dauntless. In the meantime, the company is fighting for its existence. Even Fae Farm (Steam) could not bring the hoped-for turnaround.
That was the situation for a long time:
The “Monster Hunter” series was huge in Asia and on handheld consoles, but for many years there was no version in the West for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
The studio Phoenix Labs saw an opportunity here and developed “Dauntless” as an alternative for Monster Hunter fans who wanted to hunt monsters on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. The game was announced in December 2016, went into beta for PC in May 2018, and was released for consoles in 2019.
The problem: With Monster Hunter World, exactly this idea was already released by Capcom in 2018 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, taking all the wind out of Dauntless’s sails.

This is the consequence: Although Phoenix Labs has tried a lot to make Dauntless a hit and has done good work over the years, the game has never managed to create a real hype.
Even a second game, Fae Farm, could not gather the necessary players.
It has now been revealed that Phoenix Labs has laid off employees and halted the development of several unannounced games.
It is not entirely clear how many employees were laid off. One source mentions 100 employees, while another claims up to 200.
Now they want to focus on the live service of Dauntless and Fae Farm.
The company states that this is the “last chance for Phoenix Labs to survive.”

What is the reason for this? Developers say that Phoenix Labs was taken over in 2023 by the blockchain company Forte, which has now made this decision.

Gold is a scarce resource in Diablo 4, which you need for all sorts of things. MeinMMO reveals where you can best farm gold in Season 4 and how to save your gold.
This is how you get gold the fastest: Essentially, you earn gold from almost all sources in the game. The best method to acquire gold in Season 4 is through whispers and player trading. It’s important to note that you can really farm gold effectively only at world level 4.
When you silence the whisper and hand in the task at the tree, you will receive between 5 and 15 million gold at world level 4. That’s a lot. Whispers are particularly good because you can combine them with almost any other content – especially with the revamped hell floods from Season 4:
You therefore cover almost everything you need for farming with hell floods in conjunction with whispers.
However, you get the most gold by trading with other players. In Season 4, you can trade all items except Uber Uniques and those items you have already modified with the new crafting system. Particularly worthwhile are:
Items you would consider an upgrade
Legendaries with great affixes
Legendaries with rare affixes and a max roll on them
You can trade either directly in the trade chat or via external websites or Discord. Most experienced traders rely on websites, although we generally advise caution when you need to share data.
If you need to get gold quickly, you might consider selling items. You can tell by a symbol on a legendary item whether you already have the corresponding affix in the codex or not. If there is no symbol on the item, you can safely sell it.
Here we explain when it’s worth selling and when to salvage:
Start video
When should I break down or sell items in Diablo 4?
Saving gold – What should I spend gold on?
Season 4 is enormously expensive in terms of gold. You will need gold in large quantities early on and will require increasingly larger sums until the endgame. If you are short on cash, you should observe the following priorities:
Upgrade potions. This is expensive, but important for survival, allowing you to farm more efficiently.
Imprint affixes on items if you really need them; without a decent build, you won’t get far.
For now, refrain from buying additional storage space. You need significantly less storage in Season 4 than before, as you save considerable space due to several changes. Most of it will be sold or salvaged directly anyway.
Unlike at the end of Diablo 3, you are currently encountering gold problems more quickly in Diablo 4. This is because many services are simply extremely expensive but necessary to improve.
The most important tip for saving: Your build should come first. The more you can endure and the more damage you deal, the easier it will be to acquire additional gold. Always keep this in mind when spending your gold. You can find the best builds in Season 4 in our tier list for Diablo 4 so that you have an idea of which items you really need.

Currently on Amazon Prime: “Catch the Killer”: A cop thriller that is unjustly flying under the radar, says MeinMMO author Schuhmann. The film may lack big stars, but it delivers two hours of thrilling entertainment on two levels.
This is how Catch the Killer begins: A sniper kills 29 people in Baltimore on New Year’s Eve, who are joyfully celebrating the transition into the new year. He hits flawlessly from a distance, leaving no traces. There is no motive, no clues, no leads.
An experienced FBI agent, a real doer, confident and legs spread apart, is tasked with solving the case; quickly he notices a young policewoman who collapsed while collecting evidence, and later, over coffee, she says: The perpetrator killed the victims as if he wanted to swat mosquitoes.
The policewoman wants to seize her chance and dives fully into the case. But the experienced FBI man knows that a countdown has begun with the murder. Immediately, one feels the pressure from the public: The city is in panic. Politicians fear for their jobs, the media fuels the atmosphere. Everyone knows better, everyone has a theory: He must find the perpetrator, best immediately.
But how do you find a perpetrator who has committed the perfect murder?

The pressure from the public adds more suspense to the thriller
What makes the film special: The thriller has a truly clever primary plot: A dedicated team is searching for a perpetrator, using all forensic tricks, pursuing every lead.
Quickly, one has logically sounding theories:
Such a good sniper must have been trained somewhere.
Someone must have already sighted the building from which the shots were fired. Who was inside?
Why does a painter bring his crying baby to an interrogation?
Why does the killer use a 40-year-old sniper rifle?
Meanwhile, the dynamics between the characters resemble those from “The Bone Collector” or “The Silence of the Lambs”: An experienced investigator sees potential in a sharp-eyed but unstable young woman.
The inspirations, classics of the cop thriller, focus on the investigation.
What is unique about “Catch the Killer” is the presence of a second level in the film. Because the brilliant investigator is more occupied with defending himself against other departments and the big shots who want to explain to him how his job should be done:
The investigator wants to proceed methodically, search for tiny traces, and slowly approach his target
However, others want quick success, the spectacular arrest, the fame for themselves
This conflict gives the film an unusual character, leads to unexpected twists, and makes it more realistic.
With Angelina Jolie, more people would know the film – but would it be better?
Is “Catch the Killer” worth it? Yes, it is a very thrilling film with really clever twists and an engaging finale. The film follows through relentlessly.
All characters act at the peak of their abilities. It is exciting to follow every step of the investigation. With the new aspect of political and public pressure that “Catch the Killer” adds to the cop thriller formula, the film gains significantly in stature.
Ultimately, one gets the feeling: If the film had perhaps had Angelina Jolie and George Clooney in the lead instead of the excellent Shailene Woodley and Ben Mendelsohn, many more people would know “Catch the Killer”. But who knows if it would have been as good then.
Where can you find “Catch the Killer?” The film is currently available on Amazon Prime. It lasts about 2 hours, is available in German dub, and is rated for ages 16 and up.
Erik “Gronkh” Range is one of the biggest streamers on German Twitch. A deal for the vampire game V Rising could have earned the streamer a lot of money, but he declined and preferred to play with a little black kitten instead.
Gronkh says he could have earned “a lot of money” with a mere two-hour stream of V Rising. However, he declined and instead caused chaos as a cute cat in Little Kitty, Big City. He is indeed a true businessman, Gronkh said with a laugh.
For a detailed review of the furry adventure, check in with our colleagues at GameStar.

V Rising: The launch trailer for the survival game with vampires on Steam and PS5
Cat Power instead of Bloodsuckers
Why did Gronkh decline? As Gronkh explains, he was only supposed to showcase V Rising for two hours for the collaboration. That actually sounds like a good deal: a lot of money for relatively little work. However, the Twitch streamer says he had already played V Rising in early access – and two hours simply isn’t enough.
“I think playing V Rising for just two hours is simply not enough. You need to play it for much longer. I didn’t want to show you two hours of a game that you actually had to dive into for much longer.”
You can watch the corresponding excerpt right here. You can find the full stream on Gronkh.tv.

How did the cat adventure go for Gronkh? Little Kitty, Big City likely did not mean big money for Gronkh like V Rising had promised. However, he can still consider the evening a success: with an average of 21,449 concurrent viewers, the stream was the second strongest for Gronkh in the last 30 days (via SullyGnome).
As one of the biggest German Twitch streamers, he can probably afford to pass on the declined deal as well. One reason for this ongoing success might also be that Gronkh prioritizes his fans’ viewing experience over quick money from a deal.
Meanwhile, V Rising was able to make a strong start even without Gronkh’s support. The vampire game climbed the Steam charts and posed strong competition to several genre counterparts. However, one perennial survival favorite slightly edged it out. Only Rust is bigger: Survival game with vampires has 132,000 players on Steam, ranking 2nd in the genre.

The teams G2 and T1 compete against each other in the MSI in League of Legends, with G2 suffering a loss in their first encounter. Despite hopes for improvement, G2 also lost the second encounter, leading to their elimination and surprising no one in the community.
What game is it about? The teams G2 and T1 are currently competing against many other international teams in the MSI (Mid-Season Invitational).
What was the result of the match? The second encounter went even worse for G2 than the first, after they were initially confident. They lost to T1 with a score of 3:0. While they were completely overwhelmed by the world champion in the first game, there was still hope in the second and third games that they might make a comeback.
In the second game, G2 initially managed to gain an advantage, but they could not maintain it throughout the game. Just before losing the second round, they achieved a Quadra Kill, which temporarily postponed their defeat, but hope was quickly dashed by Faker, who sealed their second loss.
The third game also did not go much better for G2, leading to a loss and their elimination from the MSI. The players appeared visibly affected after the defeat. The post-game interview with G2’s top laner, Brokenblade, had to be paused briefly as he struggled to hold back tears.
How does the community react to G2’s elimination? Even in a discussion in a Reddit thread, many users seem unsurprised by the loss, even though some did not expect such a clear defeat.
Users are writing under the thread:
TheAlmightyVox3 writes on Reddit: T1 realized that they cannot play against Gen.G in the finals if they lose the game, and they closed the deal.
ViraLCyclopes20 comments on Reddit: The West is indeed not back.
appleandapples notes on Reddit: T1 proves once again that no matter how “wobbly” they look, they are always a threat if given time to understand the meta.

Bungie has announced major changes to the weapon sandbox for Destiny 2 that you will enjoy in “The Final Shape.” Many Exotics will be adjusted, and some of the major mods will be removed. We will show you the details.
What has Bungie announced?Destiny 2 is soon approaching the release of “The Final Shape” and as always, major changes to the weapon sandbox are made before such a large release. This time Bungie looked at various mods that Guardians use daily against the enemies of Light.
Many will be removed with the upcoming DLC, and on top of that, some Exotics will get a fresh coat of paint. Which mods are affected and which Exotics will emerge as winners or losers after the update, you’ll find out here.
Goodbye damage mods and hello weapon buffs!
What do the changes look like? Bungie has released a huge list of changes that deal with three things:
Weapon archetypes
Exotic weapons
Perks
Five mods were examined for weapon archetypes that players can socket into almost any weapon: Boss Specification, Hive-specific Specification, Minor Specification, Major Specification, and Master Hard Mode Specification.
All of these mods provide damage bonuses for equipped Legendary weapons and were essential in PvE. However, with “The Final Shape,” they are completely removed. You will no longer be able to equip them, nor will you need to. Bungie plans to increase the base damage of many weapon archetypes of Legendary weapons. For details, please open our box:
All adjustments of weapon archetypes
Increased PvE base damage against all combatants.
Pulse rifles: 20 %
Exceptions: Graviton Lance and “Heavy Salvo” mode of Revision Zero. (Both already have a PvE damage buff.)
Pellet shotguns: 10 %
Exceptions: Legend of Acrius, Tractor Cannon, Conditional Finality, and The Fourth Horseman. (These weapons work as intended.)
Slug shotguns: 9 %
Fusion rifles: 7 %
Exceptions: One Thousand Voices. (This weapon only received a buff.)
Sniper rifles: 7 %
Exceptions: “Refined Edge” shots from Izanagi’s Burden and “Storm” from Cloudstrike. (Both show good performance.)
Sword projectiles: 7 %
Linear fusion rifles: 5 %
Increased damage against weaker enemies (red bar) – stackable with the increase in PvE base damage.
Pistols, submachine guns, scout rifles, and bows: 20 %
Auto rifles and pulse rifles: 15 %
For pulse rifles, this applies in addition to the buff mentioned above, and Graviton Lance as well as the “Heavy Salvo” mode of Revision Zero are also included.
i.e. Pulse rifles deal 1.2 x 1.15 = 38 % more damage against red bars.
SMGs: 10 %
Hand cannons: 5 %
Increased damage against stronger enemies (orange bar).
Submachine guns: 20 %
Damage has been increased universally, including in PvP.
Machine guns: 7 %
Swords: 7 %
Explosion damage has been reduced by 10 %. (Only Exotics)
Sunshot
Trinity Ghoul
Polaris Lance
Graviton Lance
Weapons with kinetic damage will no longer deal bonus damage against bosses; damage against other combatant tiers remains unchanged.
As an example: A kinetic sniper rifle and a stasis sniper rifle of the same sub-family deal the same damage against a boss.
While damage is generally increased, kinetic weapons will also no longer press a bonus damage against bosses compared to their elemental variants. For more details on further weapon adjustments, check out Bungie’s official TWiD (via bungie.net).

Gray Zone Warfare was released quite suddenly on Steam with only a day’s break between announcement and release. Initially, fans were skeptical, but now it shows: The game is well-received.
What kind of game is this? Gray Zone Warfare is a tactical shooter that could best be described as a mix between DayZ (without zombies) and Escape From Tarkov. The shooter clearly focuses on realism and tactics. In a large, open world, PvPvE is fought and looted.
In line with the Tarkov principle, you will be sent back to the map repeatedly to complete various missions and then escape alive.
The game world is an island in Southeast Asia that has been quarantined following a mysterious event. Three military companies have been tasked with uncovering the secrets surrounding the event.
Many players seem to find the concept of the game interesting. The game’s success on Steam is already evident, as the numbers show.
The release of Gray Zone Warfare was two weeks ago, here is again the trailer that surprised everyone:

Gray Zone Warfare shows in the new release date trailer when the shooter starts on Steam
400,000 copies sold in two days
How was the launch of Gray Zone Warfare? Gray Zone Warfare was unexpectedly released, after Escape from Tarkov had experienced the biggest shitstorm in their history. An announcement trailer was uploaded just a day before the actual release, yet the game was able to generate enough hype to have a good launch on Steam.
The launch of the game went very well. In the first two days, the game was able to sell 400,000 units (via millenium.org). Even more than two weeks after the launch, the game still has nearly 20,000 players simultaneously according to SteamDB, although the player numbers have been steadily decreasing since the release.
How is the game received by players? Players are somewhat divided. Due to the premature release of the game, many fans feel it lacks content, even though what is already there is well-received. The game is not well-optimized, and many fans are complaining about performance issues.
GG writes on Steam in his review: “For an Early Access title, you can definitely have fun here. The foundation is solid, and I am curious to see how it will develop further.”
Señor L. Wo writes on Steam in contrast: “The gameplay itself is really fun. However, the performance on medium settings is really poor even with a 3080 and 12900k. The performance MUST improve. […]”
What is planned for the future? Gray Zone Warfare is currently still in early access. Players are also given the opportunity to pass their feedback to the developers and thus participate in the development of the game. For the future, they want to work on many aspects:
a larger, complete map with new biomes and locations
a toxic epicenter in the middle of the map with stronger enemies
improved AI
factions and progression systems as well as reputation
revision of the quest system and main as well as side missions
Anyone who has played Final Fantasy XIV in the last few weeks has likely noticed some server issues. The game is currently struggling with severe attacks, and the developers are working hard to maintain server stability.
How are the servers being crippled? Since the beginning of May, players of Final Fantasy XIV have been experiencing frequent connection drops in the game. This is not due to the MMORPG itself but rather to attacks on the game’s servers.
Unknown attackers are currently bombarding these servers with countless requests, managing to cripple them. This type of attack is called a DDoS attack.
Under the load of many requests, the servers collapse, potentially kicking all players out, regardless of whether they are in a dungeon or just standing around.
This is not only frustrating for the players but also for the team responsible for the security of the servers and data at Square Enix.

Final Fantasy 14: The New Jobs from Dawntrail in Gameplay
The team is working around the clock
What is Square Enix doing against the attacks? In the so-called “Live Letter” from game producer and head Naoki Yoshida, the issues were publicly acknowledged for the first time. The team at Square Enix for infrastructure security has reportedly been working around the clock to fend off the attacks. There are rotating shifts within the team, and everyone is committed to resolving the problems.
To receive additional help, they have also reached out to external service providers to solve the problem. The good thing about a DDoS attack is that it does not compromise anything critical, which also pleases Yoshida.
In several Lodestone posts on the official website, the developers announced restrictions on their servers.
Why is this taking so long? Modern DDoS attacks are no longer executed solely by home computers. So-called bot networks, which send attacks using hacked IoT devices like IP cameras, printers, routers, or refrigerators, are difficult to block. Service providers like Cloudflare base their entire business model on blocking such attacks.
Not only Final Fantasy XIV is struggling with server issues; Diablo 4 was also under attack shortly after its release. Initially, players were kicked out of the game, before they then faced lengthy login issues. However, Blizzard managed to get the problem under control again: Diablo 4: DDoS attack on PC, PS5, and Xbox on June 25 – Login issues and server status

What kind of game is this? Tarisland is a free MMORPG developed by the Chinese developer studio and publisher Tencent.
With a western setting and colorful graphics, Tarisland visually resembles World of Warcraft. The classes in the MMORPG also resemble the genre pioneer.
There is the Warrior, Mage, Priest, Paladin, Hunter, Bard, and a sort of Demon Hunter. All classes have two specializations that can always be switched between. For example, each class can always be played as a damage dealer and can switch if needed.

Testing again before the release
When is the release? Recently, the release of Tarisland in China was announced for June 19th. The same paragraph also states that the Western servers are also set to launch in June. The release of Tarisland in Germany will therefore take place between June 19th and 30th.
An exact date will probably be announced only after the test. The developers want to ensure that everything runs smoothly at launch.
What kind of test is this? Tarisland will conduct a technical test shortly before the release from May 27th to 30th (via Tarisland website). Only 10,000 participants will be allowed worldwide (excluding China). No new content will be shown in the test; the developers mainly want to test the iOS version of Tarisland, which has not been playable until now.
Players who do not have an iOS device will not miss out either; they can also sign up for the test. The same test already took place a few days ago in China, which is why players from that country will not participate in the test.
How do I sign up for the test? To sign up for the test, you first need to create a registered account on the Tarisland website . Once you have done that, you need to fill out a different questionnaire depending on whether you want to play on an iOS device, an Android device or PC .
Region, language, and especially your hardware will be queried, which must not be too outdated for the test. Starting May 25th, selected players should then receive emails with their invitations.
The boss enemies in Baldur’s Gate 3 are quite tough, but they can be defeated on any difficulty level with the right strategy. One player has now executed a true Goku move in the super hard Honour mode and paid a high price.
Spoiler Warning: This is about a boss fight from Act 3 and the conclusion of Astarion’s personal quest.
What happened to the player? On reddit, WWECreativegenius reports that he faced the boss enemy Cazador Szarr in Honour mode. He is teased as early as Act 1 and is an important part of the story of Companion Astarion.
In his fight, Cazador tries repeatedly to complete a ritual. And WWECreativegenius allowed this to happen in his last run. Just like Dragonball hero Son Goku does contrary to all good advice, WWECreativegenius also allowed Cazador to power up and suddenly faced an unstoppable killing machine.
The reddit user does not mention whether he won the fight. However, since he explains what he would have needed for a victory, it is assumed that Cazador wiped the floor with him.

Let the enemy power up? Better not!
Why was that a bad idea? Even without ascending, Cazador is quite a formidable opponent. If you have Astarion in your group, he will first be knocked out, and you have to free him. So you are left with only three in the fight against the boss and his minions.
This may even be a reason to leave Astarion completely at home for this battle:
Cazador has a base Armor Class of 21 and is resistant to non-magical and necrotic attacks. Additionally, he regenerates 20 hit points every round, has a plus 5 initiative bonus, and has bonuses on his saving throws and attack rolls for spells.
If you let him ascend, he gets even more powerful feats: The 20 hit points regenerated per round rise to 100. His Armor Class increases to 25. As a normal vampire, Cazador is vulnerable to light before his ascension – and that also goes away after his ascension.
Especially annoying is his new necrotic aura: If you touch it, your character automatically receives up to 70 necrotic damage. That’s enough to knock characters out in one round.
In summary: Don’t let Cazador ascend. He will finish you off. And you will lose Astarion.
How does the community react to this? In the comments, most celebrate the move but are also confused. The most upvoted comment is from reddit user khornish_game_hen: You… let him ascend… in Honour Mode?
From there, other commenters quickly draw parallels to Son Goku. Someone accuses WWECreativegenius of just wanting pizza with stuffed crust. This is a reference to Dragon Ball Z Abridged (DBZA) on YouTube, a humorous re-dubbing of the original Dragon Ball Z anime from the USA, similar to what YouTuber Coldmirror did with the Harry Potter films in the 2000s.
As in the original anime, Son Goku also lets the villain Freeza reach his full potential in DBZA, but only because Freeza offers him the aforementioned pizza with stuffed crust in return:

Others share their own experiences with the ascended Cazador Szarr. FeelPureLust (via reddit), for example, writes that he was surprised by the power-up during the tower construction. The foundation of the tower was destroyed in the fight, and Cazador was killed by the falling crates.
Differences between the ascended Cazador and Astarion are also debated: If you defeat Cazador, you can help Astarion complete the ritual instead of Cazador. Apart from the character changes in Astarion, the companion receives a much smaller power-up than Cazador. reddit user Skewwwagon suggests that this is likely because Astarion is a vampire spawn and still has to learn his new abilities.
In the end, WWECreativegenius probably lost his Honour mode run. And all because he broke one important anime rule: Never let your opponent power up intentionally. Unless your name is Son Goku – he has won almost every fight despite opponents in their final forms so far. He even has a form that you probably have never seen.
