On November 8, PS4 and “Xbox One” Tenno were supplied with new content for the free-to-play third-person action shooter Warframe. In addition, the 3rd anniversary is being celebrated on Sony’s gaming console.

First of all, there’s the namesake game mode “Index,” where we must compete in an arena against various Corpus champions, much like the Grineer Law of the Jungle. Since Nef Anyo, our favorite Void preacher with a penchant for greed, is hosting the whole show, of course, some credits can be earned.

Additionally, there are 6 new mods that we can obtain in the arena by defeating the Corpus. This initially time-exclusive mode will be playable from November 17 to November 24 and serves to gather the players’ opinions and possibly consider any criticism or wishes for changes.

The final version of the Index will be permanently integrated into the game at a later time and is intended to offer better rewards, clan trophies, and a leaderboard.

The Second Part of Fusion

The conversion of fusion cores and the introduction of the new resource Endo only represented the first part of simplifying the system for upgrading mods. With the Ayatan sculptures hidden in the Void and the corresponding stars available throughout the solar system, Part 2 now also makes its way into the console version of Warframe.

For this, we need to pay Maroo a visit at her bazaar on Earth. The sly merchant sends us on a weekly hunt for a sculpture. If you find one, it can either be converted directly with Maroo into Endo or we can first upgrade it with Cyan and Amber stars to extract additional Endo when selling it.

The small statues, which awaken a bit more life with each star used, can also be decoratively placed on your spaceship.

Syndicate Slicers

In addition to the infested Caustacyst-Sense, the matching Embolist armor, and the Gazal Machete, 6 melee syndicate weapons are also available. Unlike the previous primary and secondary toys from Arbiters of Hexis, Steel Meridian, and Co., the newcomers each have different mechanics and buffs.

The Telos Boltace, for example, allows us, when actively equipped in hand, to not only move faster but also deal additional damage in an area with its spinning attack. New Lokas Sancti Magistar, on the other hand, makes us immune to enemy status effects, and charged attacks create a healing pulse.

In addition to the new melee hammers and solid cutting tools, 3 augment mods have been added to the existing offerings, one each for Ember, Valkyr, and Inaros.

Vacuum, Lunaro & Conclave

Companions are an important part of many different games and take on various tasks. So it is in Warframe. However, since Carrier or Carrier Prime has been by far the most used companion due to its simple attraction of mods and resources, it was time to make other guardians attractive again.

Therefore, Vacuum has been transformed into a universally usable mod for guardians. In compensation for the loss of its suction power, Carrier and its Prime variant now have the ability to convert unused ammunition pickups into resupply for the weapon currently held. Furthermore, the magazine is also enlarged.

The recreational sports mode Lunaro is also receiving a new, Perrin Sequence inspired map with the update, as is the Conclave mode, which has been granted an infested Corpus cruiser map. Additionally, the Conclave variant mode is introduced, which regularly offers various modifications.

Along with new glyphs, the Manduka operator outfit, and other cosmetic goodies, many general changes as well as specific changes related to Lunaro and Conclave have made their way into the game. Anyone who wants to absorb this in detail should take some quiet time to enjoy the complete patch notes, as they would be too extensive to cover here.

However, a novelty will quickly catch your attention on your way through the levels. Resources left behind by enemies and falling out of cabinets and boxes now have the appearance of the respective resource. Furthermore, in many places, new piles of resources have been added, which we can break open for additional materials.

PS4 Party

Warframe entered open beta on Steam in March 2013, and in the same year, it made the leap to Sony’s newly released PS4 console. To celebrate the 3rd anniversary, developer Digital Extremes is gifting an Excalibur Noggle statue, a seal, and an exclusive color palette.

All you have to do is log in to Warframe by November 30. The gifts will then be promptly delivered to your inbox. By the way, PS4 players have spent a total of over 4000 years of playtime in the online universe since launch and sent nearly 64.5 billion enemies to the eternal hunting grounds. Few players in the multiplayer of Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, as there is no cross-play offered with other platforms. Who is to blame?

Call of Duty Infinite Warfare has been available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One for a few days. On PC, there are various ways to purchase the game. One way is through Steam, and among other options, you can also buy the game in the Windows Store. Players who chose the latter option will quickly notice a significant disadvantage. There is no cross-play with players on other platforms. But who is responsible for the missing feature?

Empty servers in the multiplayer of CoD Infinite Warfare

One might assume that this missing feature was determined by the Windows Store. However, it appears that it was a decision by Activision. How this decision came about is unclear. On Windows Central, more precise information has now emerged. A spokesperson for Microsoft stated: “We support cross-play between different devices and platforms with partners who want to enable this feature.” One can only hope that Activision reconsiders this interesting decision and does players in the Windows Store a favor.

If you bought Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in the Windows Store, you can currently only play multiplayer with players who also purchased the game in the Windows Store. How this looks in practice was shown by Reddit user hayz00s. He linked a screenshot and wrote: “My little brother bought CoD: IW in the Microsoft Store. He is currently one of two players searching online for a match.” As it turned out later, the screenshot is not from Infinite Warfare, but from Modern Warfare. Nevertheless, it shows the result of the refusal of cross-play.

The good news on this topic is that you will get your money back from the Windows Store. If you bought the game there and then notice that there are hardly any players online to play with you, you can return the game. Even the “little brother” who only found one player online has since received his money back. Now it remains to be seen whether Activision will activate cross-play or if everything will stay as it is now.

Currently, there is a bug with the medals and the leaderboards of Battlefield 1. The developers have now responded.

Medals in Battlefield 1 are supposed to change weekly and offer you different mission objectives. For example, you should free a certain number of pigeons or win rounds of a specific game mode. The objectives of the medals are divided into different levels, increasing in difficulty. However, there is currently a bug that prevents the correct medals from displaying.

Medals and Leaderboards Display Issue – Medal Bug

Many players have issues with the display of the current medals. Often, the problem manifests itself by showing last week’s medals, and one cannot select a current medal. Also, the leaderboards at the end of a round are not displayed correctly or at all for some players. On Twitter, the Lead UI/UX Designer of Battlefield 1, Erik Ortman, announced that they are already working on a solution to the errors. Both the issues with the weekly medals and the problems with the leaderboards are expected to be fixed soon.

As players of Battlefield 1, you probably have gained a lot of experience in the multiplayer mode over the last weeks. There are always various tricks that you can pick up while playing. Other mechanics, however, are only discovered later because they are not obvious. Here we present you a collection of tips and tricks for the multiplayer mode of Battlefield 1. For example, you can destroy individual weapons of a tank or use the medic’s syringe for “other purposes”.

Free Look in Airplanes

If you want to look around in the airplane without jerking the controls, you need to bind a specific key for it. On consoles, this function is much easier to use. On PC, you need to set a key on your keyboard or mouse in the options so you can use this option. To do this, open the options in Battlefield 1 and click on keyboard layout. Then click on “Airplane”. In the image, you can see the corresponding row(s).

This is especially helpful when you want to check while flying whether you are being followed or want to direct your attacks at specific targets on the ground. Keep in mind that you need to hold down the assigned key and also move the mouse to use this function.

Male Commentator in Multiplayer

If you do not like the female commentator voice in the multiplayer mode of Battlefield 1, you can change it. Many players assume that you have to play with the female voice because there is no other choice. However, the female voice is just the default setting and can be changed in the options. If you prefer a male commentator in multiplayer, go to the options and select the audio settings. In the list, there is the corresponding option.

No More Accidental Squad Orders

In Battlefield 1, it can easily happen that you accidentally give squad orders. In most cases, this is due to the fact that you can give attack or defense commands with the spot key. If you, as a squad leader, do not precisely aim at an enemy but direct your gaze towards the objective, the game thinks you want to give a command to your squad. This can be particularly annoying when you are in an airplane and want to spot as many enemies as possible, but instead, you keep giving attack and defense orders. To prevent this from happening in the future, you can change a setting in the gameplay menu.

You can find the corresponding option under Options>Gameplay>Advanced. If you turn this option off, you will only be able to give these commands as a squad leader via the commorose and not via the spot key anymore.

Destroying Individual Tank Weapons

The various new tank mechanics are something new for players who have been playing the Battlefield series for a long time. You can disable the individual weapons to prevent them from shooting. This is particularly important because the tanks become extremely vulnerable on the corresponding side of the damaged weapon. This can be effective, especially with landship tanks, as the strength of this tank depends on the players at the various weapons onboard. If you disable these weapons, a landship tank will struggle to succeed.

To destroy the weapons, you need to shoot at the various weapons with your anti-tank weapon. If you hit the weapons, they become unusable. Dynamite or anti-tank grenades can also destroy the weapons. However, it is considerably harder to hit the weapons and not just the tank hull.

Disadvantage of the Bayonet

A bayonet brings you not only advantages in Battlefield 1. While sprinting and the deadly attack are effective, there is also a disadvantage. When you want to equip your weapon again after sprinting, the time it takes you to do so is increased by a bayonet. Although the time to equip is not significantly higher, it still takes a little longer. If you play a game mode or on a map with many close-range fights, the time saved with a weapon without a bayonet can be helpful.

Faster Swimming with Bayonet

Having just talked about the disadvantages of a bayonet, let’s now move on to an advantage. It is currently unclear whether this is a bug or a feature, so this action may not work in the future. Currently, you can swim faster for a certain time when you have a bayonet on your weapon. To do this, you just need to press the bayonet attack key right before you reach the water. Although this effect does not last long, it can be an advantage on maps like Fao Fortress if you can “quickly” cross the water.

Attackers in Operations Matches

If you are an attacker in the operations game mode, you can increase your tickets. As soon as you capture a sector, the game will notify you if there are still defenders in that sector. If you kill defenders in that sector, you will get some of your tickets back. Each spawn of an ally uses 1 ticket, so it is advantageous if you can refresh these tickets with kills.

Defenders in Operations Matches

If you lose a sector as a defender in operations, your goal is “retreat”. If you do so as quickly as possible and also arrive alive, you will receive a reward. If your retreat is successful, your health points and ammunition supply will be replenished immediately. Additionally, a successful retreat is good because you do not give your opponents any tickets, as we learned in the last tip.

Other Uses for Syringe and Repair Hammer

These tips are designed for specific situations. You can kill enemies with both the syringe and the repair hammer. You need to charge the syringe by holding the attack button for a certain time, and it charges up. After that, you can make one-hit kills with it. If you just click simple attacks without charging, you will not deal any damage.

If you want to kill someone with the repair hammer, you can spam individual clicks. No charging is necessary here. These are probably not actions you should regularly perform, but for a bit of fun in multiplayer, such kills are ensured.
