Dead by Daylight is an asymmetric survival game. One person takes on the role of the unstoppable killer, who has to find and kill the 4 other players, the survivors. The survivors must repair generators to open the exit gates of the respective map and escape from the killer. While the killer is faster, survivors can “look around corners” to gain a tactical advantage.
To celebrate the release on PS4 and Xbox One, the developers have released a new cinematic trailer that is meant to get interested players ready for the game. Here you can watch it:

Basically, the trailer contains everything that can also be experienced in the game: Another survivor gets captured, but one chooses to repair a generator instead. This often backfires, as the entire team can quickly end up in the killer’s captivity. Only Dwight survives until the end – which is really not in line with his stereotype.
A long weekend is coming up and invites us to play. What games do you have planned for the weekend?
The upcoming weekend will be extended by one day, giving us another day to spend with our favorite games. If you don’t want to enjoy the good weather all day, you can make yourself comfortable in front of the PC or console.
This is also how it works in our editorial office.
Pokémon GO – Good weather, quick outside?
If you can’t decide whether to play or go outside, you can either take a laptop and sit in the garden or opt for the mobile game Pokémon GO. This way, you can comfortably combine sunshine with a game where you stay outside.
In summer 2016, Pokémon GO already caused a huge hype. The upcoming warm summer days could also lure some players out of their houses and apartments and drive them outdoors.
Is Pokémon GO maybe an option for you?
Overwatch – New season, new luck
Are you looking for a challenge this weekend? Blizzard has something for you. On the first of June, the new season for competitive games in Overwatch started. In Season 5, you can earn strong rewards again.
In this game mode, every win and every draw counts, as you earn Competitive Points with them. If you earn a lot of this currency, you can buy golden weapons for the various heroes.
Cortyn is using his free time on the weekend for a sound novel on Steam. When They Cry Hou allows the reader to take on the role of the protagonist and experience the story of the game from his position.
Jürgen is out this weekend and will catch wild monsters in Pokémon GO. When he has a few quiet minutes, he joins Schuhmann, and the two play ESO together.

Developers Look to the Future
For the future, some changes to the events are planned to make them more fun. However, first all regular Chase events will be run again in July before the changes are implemented in the game. The team is also working on new updates for WildStar. Game update 1.7.2 has been announced for June 7, which will bring “Prime Raids” with Prime 1 Y-83.
So for those playing the MMORPG WildStar, there is quite a bit to look forward to.
A mix of trading card game and MMORPG with massive battles and fights against gigantic boss monsters is what Nexon aims to offer us with Astellia.
Over the upcoming weekends, there will be repeated closed beta events before the game transitions to an open beta at an undisclosed time. Then, everyone can get their own impression of the MMORPG.
Summoning using collectible cards
Astellia is an Asia MMO with a unique ability system. You create a hero from the classes Warrior, Archer, Rogue, Scholar, and Mage and use card decks to grant your hero specific abilities in the form of the so-called Astels. These are powerful creatures that you can summon in battle.
To obtain new Astels, you must find more cards. Each Astel can be improved by increasing its skills or granting it new powers. Astels are crucial for the outcome of battles.
In these encounters, you face gigantic boss monsters that you can only defeat as a team using the Astels of your group members. Therefore, it is important to always make tactical decisions about how to build your card deck and which Astels you want to take into battle.
Astellia also offers gigantic battles involving hundreds of players and monsters. Both in PvE and PvP, players should find something to enjoy. For example, exciting arena fights frequently take place in a coliseum.
Plenty to do in a colorful world
Otherwise, you can expect a large game world that is colorful yet detailed and which you can explore with mounts. Danger and challenges lurk everywhere that you need to overcome to improve your hero. You can get a sense of how Astellia plays through the closed beta – provided you speak Korean, as the Astellia website is currently only available in that language.

The deck system of Astellia could be the aspect that the game needs to be somewhat successful here in Germany. Not many Asia MMORPGs manage to establish themselves in Europe.
Nevertheless, the game leaves a very good impression. It looks good and the massive battles as well as the fights against boss opponents could be very fun.
More content against boredom for MMORPG fans can be found here:
An enthusiastic player appoints himself as the military leader in PUBG. The team is initially not very enthusiastic, but then they obey his every word.
When thinking of games with a large role-playing community, titles like Guild Wars 2, World of Warcraft, or Neverwinter Nights come to mind first. Very few would think of the “Battle Royale” game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. However, that is precisely why such encounters are particularly funny when they happen.
During a match, the player StoneMountain64 was assigned to a group and immediately fell into his role as squad leader (which he gave himself). With military commands, he directed his teammates around, who were initially not very enthusiastic. The longer the match goes on, the more they get into the game.
After the team gets ambushed, StoneMountain64 flees, even though his teammates are down on the ground. Presumably, they would have died anyway due to the zone restriction. The whole video is quite funny and you can watch it here.

Ultimately, StoneMountain64 manages to win the round, after which he is praised by the entire team. A good leader must also sometimes leave subordinates behind to win the war – at least in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
Have you experienced such adventures in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or even played “in character” seriously? Or do you find such behavior silly?
Today we would like to know from you how you consume video games: Do you play, watch streams, or maybe both?
These days, there are many ways to get to know and experience video games. The first obvious way is to buy a game and play it. This has traditionally been the case with video games. For several years now, streaming platforms have provided an alternative or complement to playing. Here, you can watch other people play a video game and let them entertain you.
Do you use platforms like Twitch.TV to watch others play, or are you less interested in that?
Twitch and Co. – The TV for Gamers?
Portals like Twitch or YouTube Gaming offer a wide selection of live channels where you can watch other people play. Meanwhile, you can interact with the streamer and other audience members through chat. Whether it’s a small family Minecraft stream with 20 viewers providing room for conversation, or a “League of Legends” stream where 20,000 viewers fill the chat with memes – there’s plenty of variety.
But don’t worry, not only mainstream games are covered on the platforms. You can also find games with smaller communities there. So if you’re on a nostalgia trip and want to see the first part of BioShock, you can find a suitable stream online.
Major championships of eSports titles like League of Legends or CS:GO are also broadcast live on streaming platforms and on average have several hundred thousand viewers. There, the viewers cheer on their favorite teams like TSM, SK Gaming, or Cloud 9 as they compete against international opponents in major tournaments.
For many gamers, gaming livestreams have replaced television. In the evening during prime time, they prefer to watch their favorite streamers instead of following programs on Pro7, DMAX, and others.
Do you watch, play, or do both?
Opinions on the topic of livestreaming vary among gamers. While some feel comfortable in the communities of streamers and follow their favorite games daily, others want nothing to do with it and only play video games themselves.
LoL Stream by professional player “Faker”
We are interested in what you think about this topic:
Do you watch streams on such platforms and watch others play? Maybe you already have a favorite streamer that you have even subscribed to, and you are part of the community.
Do you perhaps have a second monitor where you watch a stream while you play?
Are you not interested in these streams at all and don’t want to know how other people play your video game?
You can vote on this survey. If you want, tell us in the comments whether you watch livestreams or not.
The MMO shooter Destiny 2 will not get a proper beta but a kind of marketing demo. Bungie apparently plans to rely on the banana principle. What is behind it?
It is already a silly situation: Games like Destiny 2 have so much that can go wrong – but they are hardly tested.
Destiny 2 is made up of countless parts, interlocking gameplay systems, and landscapes. It is clear: The more complicated a system, the greater the chance that something can go wrong.
Therefore: When Destiny 2 is released, it will be buggy. There is no doubt about that.
The loot cave: Throw fire in and you get loot. No video guide is needed for that.
Bugs and errors marked the launch of Destiny 1
The first part had plenty of problems and errors:
Gameplay systems just didn’t work – the loot system was so bad that players shot at mobs coming out of a cave for hours.
In the strikes there were “safe spots” from which players could safely kill bosses without them shooting back. A term for these “exploits” became widespread: cheese spots.
Even raid bosses or certain raid sections could be easily defeated with tricks. A common insider joke among players is that no one remembers how to do the bridge or templar “properly”, they always skipped past them.
Some weapons were way too strong. When the first player got their hands on the Vex Mythoclast, they ran around with it like they were a Greek god.

And it’s not like this is a specific problem of Destiny. The Division had even more difficulties.
A “backpack bug” locked players out of The Division for weeks.
The fundamental progression system was so weak that it had to be completely overhauled after half a year – a huge effort.
Extended closed beta phases years before release
For games that reach such a scale, problems are simply inevitable. Internal tests from QA teams can be as thorough and good as possible – again and again, history has proven: Internal QA tests are simply not enough. Players find ways to uncover and exploit errors in the system that the publisher and its employees have not thought of.
The conventional solution would be to hold extensive beta phases. Players would be allowed into the game as early as possible in development. They test it, give feedback to the developers – and they adapt their game.
This is Lost Ark – many are waiting for it. It is being developed using the “beta phases” model.
In South Korea, games are developed this way: Long before release, 2 or 3 years before the launch, the gates open for two-week beta phases – the developers then evaluate the feedback, close the gates, and continue development.
However: In South Korea, there is no “proper launch” for these games later on. They are all free-to-play games that transition into an open beta. A “hype” for the release is not nearly as important as for Destiny 2.
Banana principle
In the West, it works differently: There are no beta phases during the development of blockbuster games. They mainly rely on internal tests by QA teams.
The manufacturers’ policy seems to be to rely on the banana principle: The product ripens with the customer.
The fact that these ultra-expensive and complex games completely forgo betas through players and struggle with countless problems after the release is something most players do not understand.
By name, there are still betas, but these are actually just demos that are released shortly before launch to get players excited about the game. It is assumed: In Destiny 2, players will be served a fraction of the game that has been polished to a high shine. How the players’ feedback turns out will ultimately have no influence on the release version.
In Ghost Recon Wildlands, fans cried out after experiencing such a demo beta: For heaven’s sake, take your time, polish the game further. But by then, it was already too late. The wheels were already turning: What happens in a beta hardly changes the product.
Advantages and disadvantages of the banana principle in Destiny 2
If we look at this banana principle, it has benefits and drawbacks for a game.
Advantage:
The game is “fresh” at release, people do not know it yet
The game will have a strong hype and sell well
there will probably only be positive news in advance – the only source of information is the developer itself: PR news dominates the weeks before release, the developer controls reporting when there are no betas
Disadvantage:
Players will likely encounter errors early on and the quality of the gaming experience will drop – after the release
Outside the “polished zone” is uncharted territory – gameplay systems that gain importance only in the long term – may work or go totally wrong
Negative news may come right after the release that could dampen sales – after the release the developer has no more control over the news
developers will have to invest a lot of time in fixing errors under the pressure of a live game – in the time when “new content” should actually come, errors will be patched
Developers are increasingly realizing the disadvantages of the “banana principle”. Especially “The Division” should serve as a cautionary tale.
However: The obvious alternative has not proven to be really “great”: Let everyone into the beta.
Inviting to open beta phases diminishes the appeal of the new, players get tired of games before release. The actual launch is then just a footnote because everyone has already seen it. You can’t blame publishers for avoiding this scenario.
Betas with strictly regulated access are probably the solution
The advantage: This heightened the desire for Overwatch even more. The longing grew to finally play Overwatch. Because the access was so regulated over months, Overwatch could be polished “under the eyes of the players” and the longing remained.
But sure: In “Overwatch” there were no spoiler problems. The game has no story campaign.
Better buggy or better know everything in advance?
If there were a such beta in Destiny 2, even if it was strictly regulated: Leaks would not be far away. Quickly, the feeling would spread: “I already know how it ends.”
Despite watermarks on screenshots and NDA – for a million-dollar project like Destiny 2, the content of the beta would probably be known to everyone quickly. A nightmare for Bungie: The hype would be at risk.
How would you solve that? Extensive beta phases for everyone? Marketing demos like now? Strictly limited access? Let us know your opinion.
More information about Destiny 2’s beta can be found here:
In The Division, you can view and download a detailed map of the Dark Zone here. It contains all boss locations and loot crate locations.
The Dark Zone is considered the most dangerous place in The Division, where you must be wary not only of enemy factions but also of other agents who can betray you. In the Dark Zone, there is optional PvP – you can attack, eliminate other agents, and steal their loot.
The Dark Zone was expanded a few months ago with update 1.6 to include three areas in the north. It is now almost twice as large as before, meaning there is more to explore and more loot to collect.
So that you don’t blindly stumble through the Dark Zone while searching for enemies and crates, the Italian website “thedivisiondarkzone” has created a detailed map that shows you all locations and the locations of all items available in the DZ.
A map of the Dark Zone – with boss locations and all loot locations – The Division 1.6.
This map was created together with several players from the community. Each entry has reportedly been verified. Some loot containers are hard to find, so we recommend using the impulse generator with the impulse amplifier.
By clicking on this map, you can enlarge it:
The map not only shows you where the bosses are located, but also which faction they belong to. Additionally, it indicates landmarks, contaminated areas, extraction zones, safe houses, high-end and Division containers, as well as locations of Division Tech.
It won’t be long until the “Return of the Necromancer” in Diablo 3 is released. Blizzard confirms Patch 2.6.0.
As confirmed by Blizzard on the official website, the release of the Necromancer is getting closer.
Necro arrives in Patch 2.6.0
In recent weeks, the Necromancer has been extensively tested on the Diablo 3 test servers. Various builds have been tried, legendary items have been swapped, and skills have been thoroughly tested. Now it is finally time, and the developers can at least confirm a release window.
Our assumptions have been confirmed: The Necromancer is coming to Diablo 3 in Patch 2.6.0!
The “Return of the Necromancer” expansion brings additional rewards to the game. These include two character slots, two extra stash spaces, a pet, cosmetic wings, a portrait frame, a banner, a banner sigil, and a flag.

The latest hero of Heroes of the Storm is not one you would have expected. Death arrives in the Nexus – in the form of Archangel Malthael.
A few days ago, the Twitter channel of Heroes of the Storm started releasing small teasers announcing the next hero. Candles that extinguish one by one initially hinted at Deckard Caine or Leah, but Blizzard revealed in the last tweet who will be entering the Nexus. No one less than the adversary of the “Diablo 3” expansion Reaper of Souls – the Archangel of Death, Malthael!

On the official website of Heroes of the Storm, the abilities of Malthael can already be viewed. He is an Assassin who primarily deals damage through a powerful DoT. Here are his abilities:
His passive ability is Mark of Death. Automatic attacks place the Mark of Death on all targets (except buildings). They are revealed for 4 seconds and take damage equal to 2.5% of their maximum health every second.
Soul Rip steals the souls of all nearby enemies affected by the Mark of Death. They take damage and Malthael is healed per target hit. For heroes, the healing is additionally increased by 3% of the victim’s maximum health.
Spirit Walk teleports Malthael to an enemy affected by the Mark of Death and deals minor damage.
With Death’s Mist, Malthael fires a projectile after 0.25 seconds that applies the Mark of Death to hit enemies.
Malthael’s first heroic ability is Tormented Souls. For 4 seconds, Malthael gains 20 armor and repeatedly applies the Mark of Death to all nearby enemies.
Ashes to Ashes is the second heroic ability. An enemy is marked with a death sentence that deals damage equal to 50% of the victim’s missing health after 2 seconds. If the enemy dies during or due to this ability, the cooldown of Ashes to Ashes is permanently reduced by 5 seconds (to a minimum of 15 seconds).

Malthael will obviously be a terror for all enemies with a large HP pool. Particularly, Cho’Gall is likely to hide from the Archangel of Death as his gigantic HP pool will quickly dwindle against Malthael.
Little fatty Roadhog is now on the Overwatch radar. Thanks to the nerf, he can only take out a few heroes with one shot.
Most heroes in Overwatch have a relatively clear defined role. Widowmaker is suitable for safe shots from afar, Winston likes to charge into the camp and clear it from the inside. Roadhog, with his hook and scrap gun, is the perfect flanker, targeting soft targets and taking them out of the game directly with his combo. However, this combo is now in jeopardy – because the current patch 1.12 for Overwatch robs Roadhog of much of his power.
Here are the changes to Roadhog briefly:
The size of Roadhog’s head hitbox is reduced by 20%.
The damage of his weapon is reduced by 33% (from 9 to 6 per shot).
The fire rate of his weapon is increased by 30%.
The magazine size is increased from 4 to 5 shots.
Roadhog’s kill list has become significantly smaller
In plain language, these changes mean that Roadhog can now only kill a fraction of the heroes with the “hook+shot” combo directly. On Reddit, several users have already determined which heroes can no longer be killed with one shot. The following heroes are guaranteed to survive a hook+shot from Roadhog:
Ana
Lucio
Symmetra
Widowmaker
Mei
Hanzo
Sombra
Reaper
Some other heroes still die from a single shot – but not in all cases. The following heroes now only die with luck (or very precise aiming):
Genji
Junkrat
Mercy
Soldier: 76
Roadhog’s role in a group is completely redefined. He is no longer a flanker, but best suited to protect his teammates. Here he pulls enemies into the middle of his group with the hook, as he can no longer eliminate opponents quickly on his own.
Cortyn says: I don’t like this at all. Roadhog’s gameplay now feels completely different and is no longer fun for me personally. I can only hope that Blizzard will roll back this change. Otherwise, Roadhog is really just a bullet sponge, allowing enemies to charge their ultimate. And a Roadhog who is always “in the group” to pull enemies into his own team doesn’t sit well with me.
What do you think of the planned changes to Roadhog? A good thing or is he now useless?
Problems with the new multiplayer slasher Friday the 13th: The Game. The new patch 1.02 was only live for an hour. It stole players’ progress – experience points and unlocked perks suddenly disappeared. Additionally, there is a bounty on a young streamer. She is deemed unworthy in the eyes of the fans.
Players reported that Friday the 13th: The Game is now constantly losing perks and achievements, and is no longer saving progress.
Therefore, patch 1.02 was rolled back after about an hour. The comment on Steam: “We are receiving solid reports that players are losing their perks. This is really not good, so we are taking the patch offline until we fix it.”
Even in recent years, funny but bug-ridden multiplayer games have appeared out of nowhere during the summer and have thrilled many fans on Twitch – they too have had to deal with problems. Currently, it looks like the slasher based on a famous film series will be this year’s “buggy summer hit.”
Internal issues with “Streamer Non-Fans”
The game originated from a Kickstarter campaign, has some “hardcore” fans who swear by the game and its developers. They are very passionate and dedicated. As can be seen: That does not protect against serious problems.
The sudden popularity is already causing some discord internally. Loyal fans have complained in the forum that streamers received early access to the game last week, ahead of fans.
Especially one young streamer drew the ire of the fans. The young woman apparently knows little about the slasher franchise, but is nice to look at. Her blasphemous mistake: She referred to one of the cult characters from the film series, Tommy Jarvis, as “Ben Jarvis.” Benjamin Jarvis is a male model on Instagram.

This caused moderate outrage among loyal fans and the game developer: “Fucking Ben Jarvis.”
The developers have consequently put a bounty on the streamer. A printed kill screenshot of her character in the game would be signed by all developers and returned, they promised.
For its games like GTA 5 Online or Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR 2), publisher Take-Two sees more options for monetization. However, they do not want to take the last money from players.
In the future, further possibilities could be used to monetize games like GTA 5 Online or Red Dead Redemption 2. The head of Take-Two (publisher of GTA and RDR2) says that more microtransactions could be possible in their games. However, they do not want to take the last money from players or let the gaming experience suffer.
More monetization without a negative aftertaste
According to CEO Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two is not as dependent on microtransactions in games as other publishers. However, there are many opportunities to further expand this field. But that does not mean that Take-Two games are to be flooded with purchase options.
“You can’t always offer things for free; there’s simply no business model for that”, said Zelnick at the Cowen and Company media conference. “… but we also do not want to optimize monetization so much that we exploit it to the fullest.” Customers would notice that, and they would not like it.
Additionally, Zelnick explains that they from an industrial perspective are still earning too little money per user. Therefore, a solution is being worked on that allows for more microtransactions but does not negatively affect the players. “If you pay too much for something, even if it is of good quality, it leaves a bad feeling. We do not want our players to have that bad feeling.”
In GTA 5 Online there are new contents available for free. Content such as the large Biker expansion or the recently announced Gunrunning DLC is available to every player after downloading and comes with no additional costs. Vehicles or properties from these expansions can be purchased with in-game currency.
Microtransactions exist in the game through Shark Cards, which allow players to recharge their virtual balance. Credits can also be earned by completing missions in the game. However, these can be time-consuming and require a certain “grind.”
Monetization in Red Dead Redemption 2
As the next major title from Rockstar, Red Dead Redemption 2 is approaching, which fans are eagerly awaiting. We already know that the game will have online features. However, it is unclear how microtransactions in RDR2 will be integrated and whether there will be possibly purchasable DLCs.
FIFA 18 will be released in autumn 2017. Official information about this football simulation is currently scarce. Only Andrew Wilson, CEO of EA, provided a glimpse of FIFA 18 and the future “Ultimate Team” mode: The game is set to build on the foundation laid by FIFA 17, continue the story mode “The Journey,” and bring innovative changes – especially in FUT.
Last year, the first information about FUT 17 was unveiled during Gamescom in August. If EA Sports follows the same timeline for FIFA 18, it will still be a while before we find out what’s in store for fans in FUT 18. Plenty of time to list wishes, speculations, and hopes.
What we wish for FIFA 18 Ultimate Team – FUT 18
We have scoured the depths of the internet and found countless suggestions in FIFA forums on how to enhance Ultimate Team. All the ideas would far exceed our “Top 10” list, which is why we are now listing ten wishes that have been frequently mentioned in the community and that we would also like to see implemented in FUT 18.
FIFA 18 FUT Champions – Give us more time
One of the biggest innovations of FUT 17 was the mode FUT Champions. Here, players can qualify for the Weekend League during the week. On the weekend, the goal is to win against many opponents to climb the ranks. The higher the rank, the better the rewards. In other words: The better you play and the more wins you achieve, the better the prizes.
However, since the launch of FIFA 17, there have been complaints: Why does this only take place on weekends? Many players have more time during the week than on weekends.
To succeed in FUT Champions, one must 1. have time on the weekend and 2. have a lot of time on the weekend. Because within a few days, 40 matches need to be played to rise high in the rankings. That takes time.
In short: FUT Champions dictates the weekly schedule for many FUT fans. Therefore, players are demanding for FUT 18: We want to decide for ourselves when to play the matches. A system with weekly and monthly leaderboards that is always active could be an option. This would allow fans to play whenever they have the time.
Playing matches should be more rewarding
The best football players in FUT cost well over a million coins on the transfer market. “Earning” this is impossible considering that there are only about 500 coins for a completed match. Therefore, one can only get to the top players if they either have extreme luck when opening packs or are among the best FIFA players in the world and consistently win the best prizes in FUT Champions.
Thousands of matches would be necessary to earn a Cristiano Ronaldo. For many, this is unthinkable. Even if a player card costs “only” a few hundred thousand coins, one would need to invest several days of playtime to afford it. Many fans therefore take the easier route, make microtransactions, buy packs, and hope for good players. They definitely make some thousands of coins this way.
Therefore, the wish: Allow for more coins as a reward after a match. So that playing is more worthwhile.
Legends for everyone in FUT 18
Since FIFA 14, legend cards have been exclusive to Xbox players due to a marketing deal between Microsoft and EA. The legends in FUT are cards from former world-class footballers that EA Sports brings back to the virtual pitch.
According to a leak, there will be a deal between Sony and EA for FIFA 18. Possibly, the legends will then be exclusive to PS4. However, many players wish: Why do the legends have to be exclusive? Why is a group of players completely excluded? A time exclusivity of one month, for example, would be completely sufficient.
EA, unlock Pelé, Beckenbauer, and Co. for all FUT fans.
Custom jerseys and crests
Individualization is becoming increasingly important in online games. Players want their own symbols, their own unique logos. Why not also in FUT 18?
The “Pro Clubs” mode shows that an editor for crests and jerseys could be possible (even though this could be much more extensive). The “real” crests and jerseys could certainly remain in FUT 18, as many like to play in the colors of their favorite team. But a feature allowing for the creation of custom crests and jerseys would be welcomed by many fans.
More options for positions
In FUT, you have some leeway to adjust player positions. For example, a central midfielder can be changed to a defensive midfielder, but not to a defender.
In FUT 18, these restrictions should be lifted, as players in real football also sometimes play in positions that do not correspond to their “actual” positions. A prominent example was Philipp Lahm, who often played in midfield under Guardiola instead of as a right-back. Reflecting this in FUT is currently not possible.
Of course, it should not be possible to place a striker as a goalkeeper, but more freedom in position choice would certainly be welcome.
Buy and sell consumables in bundles
Now a wish that concerns the “quality of life” of FUT fans: No matter if fitness cards, contracts, or other consumables – you always need them in bulk, but you can only buy them individually.
Therefore, we wish for a feature that allows contracts to be sold and purchased, for example, in packs of three or five. This would save time.
Diverse online tournaments
With the introduction of FUT Champions, the variety of “online tournaments” has disappeared. These have been replaced by daily knockout tournaments for the Weekend League. Although these have different requirements from day to day, many players now miss diverse online tournaments in FUT. These could have exclusive rewards and special requirements or be more extensive than “maximum 4 games per tournament”.
In single-player mode, there are still various, sometimes time-limited tournaments.
Free draft entries
The draft mode is a fun mode both offline and online. First, you have to build a team: For each position, you get a random selection of players, where you have to make compromises between high overall ratings and good team chemistry. Then you play a tournament with the draft team. The further you get, the better the rewards.
In draft mode, you can play with player cards that are not accessible to many in FUT. So you often have a Messi, Ronaldo, or Neymar to choose from.
However, there’s a catch: Entry to draft is not free. Either you draw a draft token from a pack (which is very rare), or you pay 15,000 coins (which is quite a lot). Since many FUT players prefer to invest their coins elsewhere, they hardly play in draft mode.
Therefore, a welcome change for FUT 18 would be that there are free draft tokens at certain intervals or a reduction in entry costs. Otherwise, this mode gets far too little attention.
Team contracts
We have already proposed the feature of being able to buy and sell consumables in bundles. Another idea to save time on the tedious manager tasks is team contracts. These are contract cards that extend the contracts of all 11 players in the active squad.
Such team objects already exist, such as team fitness cards. Here, it is not necessary to assign a card to each player individually; instead, all players can be covered with just a few clicks. This could surely be applied to contracts as well.

New modes – For example, an indoor mode?
For years, FIFA fans have been demanding a return of the indoor mode. This was a hit in FIFA 98. With FIFA 18 celebrating the 20th anniversary of indoor football in FIFA – this would be a great opportunity to bring this mode back.
This could be an option for Ultimate Team. Every year, EA Sports delivers new modes and new content to keep FUT attractive. With an indoor mode in FUT, FIFA 18 would certainly be a must-buy for many.
Now it’s your turn: What changes do you wish for in FUT 18? Or do you say: “I don’t care about new features, as long as the servers run stably”?
At The Division, Massive continues to work on all the issues plaguing the shared-world shooter.
On June 1st, the State of the Game was broadcasted. In this livestream, the developers regularly discuss the current status of The Division and provide an outlook on what is to come for the agents in the future.
This week, however, the information from the stream is limited.
Massive continues to work on the issues of update 1.6.1
Actually, the update 1.6.1 was supposed to solve numerous issues that players have been complaining about for months. It was meant to be a “Quality of Life” update, making life in the post-apocalypse more pleasant. However, the reactions to the patch were different than expected: The agents were furious that now even more bugs were present in the game and promised bug fixes were not implemented.
In the last 10 days, there have been four server downtimes during which the developers aimed to address the problems. A few annoyances have been resolved, but many still need to be tackled.
Today, community developer Hamish Bode provided the information: The team is working on it. They are aware of all the issues, examining the reported user reports, and working on solutions. Examples include grenades exhibiting stagger issues, the defibrillator mod, the intensive talent, or the urgency talent. The latter now has the unintended effect of weakening the healing.
It is once again assured that Massive is working on all the issues. The agents are encouraged to report every bug they discover in the Division forum. Ideally with a video that substantiates it.
Information about 1.7 will follow “soon”
Many agents were expecting new information about update 1.7 today, which is due this summer. However, there is nothing new to report. They cannot talk about it yet, only “soon”. Information will follow in the coming weeks.
The 5th ranked season of Overwatch returns with unique rewards.
With the start in June, a new ranked season began in Overwatch – the Competitive Season 5. As usual, there is a range of rewards to earn when diving into ranked mode. Let’s take a brief look at the rewards.
Rewards of Overwatch Season 5
Anyone who endures at least the 10 placement matches and thus receives a skill rating will receive a special spray and a player icon at the end of the season. This time, it is based on Numbani and shows the city’s large buildings in front of a sunrise.
If anyone makes it into the top 500 of their respective region at the end of the season, they will receive the player icon and the spray logo as an animated variant as well.

Unchanged is the reward of Competitive Points. As before, there are 10 Competitive Points for each game won in ranked mode or only 3 for a draw. At the end of the season, depending on the highest skill rating (SR) achieved, there is also a substantial bonus of Competitive Points:
As usual, golden weapons for each hero can be purchased for the “Competitive Points” afterward. These are just an aesthetic gimmick, but they allow players to show off their past achievements. Additionally, Reinhardt looks significantly cooler when swinging a golden hammer. Each weapon costs 3,000 Competitive Points.
The multiplayer sci-fi shooter Gunheart will unleash players on aliens. In co-op with 3 players, “finger guns” come alive. A release for PlayStation VR is planned.
Gunheart: Summer release for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift – later also for PlayStation VR
The US site Venturebeat reports on Gunheart. This is the first VR title from the Seattle studio Drifter Entertainment.
Gunheart is set to be released in summer 2017 for Oculus Rift and the “HTC Vive” headset. A release for PS VR is also planned – but only later in the year.
Gunheart shows that VR titles are slowly becoming real games. Journalists had the opportunity to go on a 3-player co-op alien hunt in Gunheart.

The goal of the game is to combine the atmosphere of a sci-fi blockbuster summer movie with polished gameplay like in Gears of War or Halo.
Players become futuristic bounty hunters who in turn connect with robot killing machines. Quite martial.
To avoid the problems that virtual reality creates when players need to move a lot, Gunheart teleports players into the battles. There they fight against opponents with a variety of weapons – in the demo session, the enemies were insectoid aliens. The weapons range from a crossbow to an assault rifle. A kind of “disc” like from Tron is also recognizable.
Interestingly: When you put both hands together, the guns transform into a Gatling gun that can fire quickly.
Through voice chat, the three players call out commands and hints to each other. It seems that it’s not so easy to keep track in Gunheart while teleporting through the action. This “teleporting” seems to give the game its own twist – allowing players to reach places that would have been inaccessible with traditional running and jumping.
The formula: “Chatting with friends while shooting aliens in the face” is not new. This also summarizes the basic idea of the shooter Destiny. Bungie is also based in Seattle.
According to early reports from sites like “The Verge”, Gunjack still feels like a game from the “first VR wave”, but at least like one from the end of the wave. The setting “Blasting insect aliens in a rocky landscape” may be generic, but the gameplay is fun.
US sites draw comparisons to “Borderlands 3 in VR” or “Gears of War”.
In January, we compiled a list of exciting games for PSVR:
SWTOR has published the roadmap for the remainder of 2017. And that means a big content patch every month this summer!
Players of Star Wars: The Old Republic have been wondering for a while what big plans 2017 still holds for them. So far, BioWare has been rather reserved, but yesterday (31.05.2017) a roadmap for the remainder of the year was finally published. Accordingly, at least the summer is packed with content and the next patch is set to be released in just under 2 weeks. A total of 3 updates are planned for the summer:
Summer on Nar Shaddaa – Patch 5.2.2 (June 13)
The Nar Shaddaa nightlife event will return with all known rewards and some new features. In addition, there will be new legacy perks that can increase the speed of speeder bikes. The maximum speed will then be 130%. Also interesting: If a character has already reached Command Rank 300, then all other characters of the legacy can receive a bonus on Command Rank XP.
Sisters of the Bloodbath – Patch 5.3 (July)
The update includes the second boss fight in the “Gods from the Machine” operation – Aivela and Esne (Story & Veteran). Besides a new stronghold, the focus here is on class balance: Sorcerer, PowerTech, Assassin, Sniper, Mercenary, and Saboteur will be revised (as will their Republic counterparts).
Crise on Umbara – Patch 5.4 (August)
The story will advance with a new Flashpoint that revolves around the eponymous “Crisis on Umbara”. Further content of the patch will be announced in the future.
Last but not least, the developers promise to engage with players more frequently in the future and to provide them with information. There should no longer be long “drought periods” without new information on the game’s plans.
The complete roadmap with all details can be found as usual in our sources.
The MMORPG Riders of Icarus is facing a series of major changes, including modifications to loot, crafting, combat, and more.
All fans of the MMORPG Riders of Icarus can look forward to an exciting summer, as it brings a lot of changes to the game. Some of these new features were already implemented on May 31.
More Rewards
These changes include adjustments to the auto-attack feature, which you can now toggle on and off. In dungeons, you can earn Legendary Coins as rewards, which you can exchange for special equipment. Additionally, daily quests have been introduced to defeat world bosses, which will also provide you with valuable loot.
Best Items Can Be Crafted
In about two weeks, another major update is expected to follow. This will overhaul the loot in the dungeons, giving you better chances of obtaining legendary items. The Fractura raid dungeon will also be revised, making it even more worthwhile to participate in this raid. The bosses are more challenging and the loot is more valuable.
The changes to crafting, including material costs and the success rate of producing legendary items, are aimed at allowing you to craft the best equipment in the game. Gift boxes are intended to help newcomers level up faster.
With these changes, the developers of Riders of Icarus hope to provide players with a better gaming experience with more achievements, faster progress, and greater successes.
