Today is finally the day and a new map as well as numerous changes and bug fixes will be implemented with the new patch 1.12/2.14 in Overwatch .
For about three weeks, the new patch for Overwatch was on the PTR, but this evening (20.06.2017) it should finally go live on the servers. Patch 1.12 for the PC version and patch 2.14 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One brings one highlight: the new map Horizon Lunar Colony. Here, players can learn more about Winston’s birthplace and find out what went wrong, leading to the destruction of the lunar colony by the gorillas.
The patch notes for Overwatch patch 1.12 / 2.14
Additionally, there are some changes to the heroes that we want to briefly present to you here.
McCree
Gunslinger
Targets are now aimed at after 0.2 seconds, not after 0.8 seconds.
The damage accumulated in the first second increases from 20 to 80.
Reaper
Enemies no longer leave souls when they are killed.
Instead, Reaper now receives 20% of the damage dealt to enemy heroes as health points.
Roadhog
The head hitbox has been reduced by 20%.
Scrap Gun
The damage of the bullets has been reduced by 33%.
The fire rate has been increased by 30%.
The magazine size has been enlarged from 4 to 5.
Additionally, there are numerous small bug fixes, such as the issues with Reinhardt, whose animations are often faulty and particularly affected by latency. Many players could hardly use abilities as the effect occurred several seconds late, which made Reinhardt somewhat unplayable.
Today, on 20.6, there are connection problems with Pokémon GO. Server downtimes and issues with the PTC have been occurring since last night. What is the server status?
Yesterday, Niantic announced a huge update for Pokémon GO that will significantly revamp the arenas. The excitement among trainers was considerable, and the plans for the changes received positive feedback from the community.
However, since last night, there have been problems with the Pokémon GO servers. Players trying to log in through the PTC often have no connection to the game.
Update 20.06. 21:00:
Niantic has announced on Reddit that they are taking a close look at the issues with the PTC login. The team will roll out a fix for all affected devices and players in the coming hours.
They are also aware that these issues with the PTC occur frequently. Therefore, they are looking for a solution to eliminate these problems in the long term.
In the coming hours, the issues with the Pokémon Trainer Account should hopefully be resolved.
Pokémon GO Login Issues
The login problems in Pokémon GO began on the night of 19.6 to 20.6. Trainers are sometimes unable to log in or are experiencing issues with GPS signals and other features in the game.
Players logging in through the Pokémon Trainer Club (PTC) are once again affected by these problems. Apparently, Niantic frequently has issues with this login method, as there were PTC login issues in Pokémon GO just last week.

Since last night, Niantic has been working on the connection problems and looking for a solution. We will update this article as soon as we have new information for you.
The new shooter Call of Duty WW2 (CoD WWII) takes place in World War II and aims to depict it accurately, but in multiplayer, liberties are taken. While there will be no swastikas on the Axis side, there will be black soldiers and women.
The studio Sledgehammer Games is committed to making Call of Duty: WWII historically accurate and bringing World War II to a new generation of gamers.
Singleplayer: Historically Accurate, Multiplayer: Not So
However, in multiplayer, Sledgehammer makes compromises on historical accuracy and takes liberties.
There will be no restrictions on which weapons players can use, depending on their side.
It will also be possible to fight as a black or white soldier, as a man or woman without any restrictions. The developers are aware that the German army only consisted of white men, but they take liberties here. Players will fight for the Allies half the time and for the Axis half the time, with the same soldier.
Players should be able to choose who represents them in multiplayer without restriction.
It is important, that the player has the freedom to choose what they play in multiplayer. It is therefore also possible to create a black or female soldier who fights for the Nazis.
Swastika – Dark Symbol, Doesn’t Fit in Multiplayer
The swastika was the symbol of Nazi Germany – the swastika will appear in the single-player campaign but not in the multiplayer of Call of Duty: WW2. As a rationale, the co-founder of the studio, Michael Condrey, stated to Eurogamer:
In the campaign, it is about telling an authentic “World War II” story
In multiplayer, it is about putting the player, no matter what they want to play, into a shooter set in World War II

The multiplayer of CoD WWII is meant to bring communities together. They want to honor local customs and laws worldwide. And the swastika is a dark symbol that is emotionally charged. Sledgehammer Games does not believe that the swastika fits in the multiplayer mode. They are, of course, aware of the legal difficulties in various countries.

The new arena update in Pokémon GO offers you many different functions and features such as raid battles in co-op or new items like mysterious candies. With the announcement, the developers provided fans with a lot of information that now needs to be understood.
As help to understand, there were videos in the Pokémon GO press kit showing some of the new aspects. This includes battles, the hatching egg with the extremely strong raid boss, or feeding berries. This way, you can already get a first impression of the arena update before it can be downloaded on your smartphones.
The individual videos were shared by Reddit user Soccerdude21490.
Arena Battle Intro
In this video, you see how to start a fight in the new arena. As explained in the announcement, attackers must face the defenders in the order they were placed in the arena. After the battle, Ursaring loses some CP and becomes weaker for the next attackers.

In Destiny , a Guardian shows his experiences in PvP of Destiny 2 in compressed form – it has been named Video of the Week.
The E3 2017 shook up our Destiny week a bit. The “Videos of the Week” article had to be skipped last Monday. However, Bungie also skipped the MOTW this current week due to E3 – which is why we now have time to catch up on last week’s videos.
And they are worth it. The title “Movie of the Week” was won by a video from Th3Jez. He was able to play Destiny 2 early and now shows his PvP experiences “in a nutshell” – that is, in brief, compressed form.
He recounts his experiences in an extremely sober, monotonous, and yet amusing way – emphasizing in the info box that he intends no “hate”, but clearly loves the game. For better understanding, you can read his statements at the top of the video:

In The Elder Scrolls Online Morrowind, there are some quests that require a bit of brainpower. One of them is the quest “Ancestral Adversity”. This quest also offers a lot of loot and can be completed quickly, making it great for gold farming.
The Elder Scrolls Online offers not only a cool story, the new guardian class and PvP battlegrounds, but also a few tricky puzzles in quests.
If you lack the patience for riddles, here’s how to solve the quest “Ancestral Adversity”.
ESO Morrowind – The solution for the ancestral tomb puzzle Ancestral Adversity
The quest Ancestral Adversity can be found in the east of Vvardenfell in the Dreloth ancestral tomb. There, you need to find the missing Narsis Dren and then solve the tomb riddle. This actually involves two puzzles.
First, you need to assign the offerings to the correcttombs. You can find out which tomb relates to which offering here:
Hand mirror – Tomb of Llirala Veloth
Arrow – Tomb of Ondre Veloth
Chalice – Tomb of Valyne Veloth
Grain sack – Tomb of Elms Veloth
Once you have assigned the offerings correctly, you can open another passage using a harp. Behind it awaits you a riddle with stone plates like in Indiana Jones. But instead of following the letters from “JIehova”, you must follow the correct glyphs.
The correct path can be seen in the embedded YouTube video starting at minute 08:15. Have fun!

Those who can better predict the movements of their opponent win the most duels in Overwatch. For example, this Mei, who is second to none!
Every week, absurd, exciting, or simply funny moments occur in Overwatch , often captured in a “Play of the Game”. We have searched social media and picked out three special highlights for you. Enjoy our 3 “Play of the Game” moments of the week in Overwatch!
Orisa and Tracer are not really the two heroes you immediately think of for outstanding team play. After all, Tracer is a speedy character, while Orisa is more suited for prolonged combat, where she holds a position for a long time. However, when you combine Orisa’s secondary fire with a time bomb from Tracer, it results in a rewarding corpse explosion. Ianfarris94 and Capnats08 show you how this looks in harmonious perfection on Ilios.
https://gfycat.com/AffectionateThoughtfulLarva
Sometimes, a Play of the Game is not just a bombastic multi-kill, but also the ability to perfectly predict the opponent’s actions. Such was the case in the “1v1” of Tozapec, who faced another Mei. After two heavy hits, the opponent attempts to flee. Tozapec knew that Mei would now block the path with an ice wall and quickly built his own to deliver a deadly shot while jumping.
https://gfycat.com/NastyUntidyIndianspinyloach
To conclude with a rather funny scene. Not every victory is truly a win for your own team. The Roadhog player JayRPG faced a nasty combination of opponents in Watchpoint: Gibraltar. With Mei and Ana, it’s not really a pleasure, as the hefty character is either asleep or frozen. But just before he dies, he manages to hit the key on Q. Was it worth it?

Have you also experienced a particularly cool gaming scene that you captured on video? Then just send us a link to the video (preferably on YouTube), and maybe you will find your clip back in this post next week!
The arenas are now under construction (disabled) in Pokémon GO to prepare the game for the arena overhaul. Your Pokémon are back with you.
As announced by Niantic, the arenas in Pokémon GO will be disabled today, June 19th. This step was taken a few minutes ago and the defenders in the gyms should now be back in your collection.
Some Pokémon may take a little longer to return. Some trainers report that they have not yet received their Pokémon. However, that should happen during the evening.
When the arenas will reopen is currently unclear.
Arena Deactivation on June 19 – Arenas Under Construction
The arenas in Pokémon GO are being revamped with many cool features. The developers have already announced in an update that there will soon be raid bosses and cooperative gameplay in Pokémon GO, where you will need to defeat extremely strong bosses.
To prepare the game and the arenas for this major rework, the arenas must be temporarily disabled. The developers took this step today around 6:00 PM and have initiated the return of the Pokémon. During the evening, you will get your fighters back.
There is a note above the arenas: “gyms_disabled_update”.

Now that all arenas have been disabled, it’s soon time for the big update. However, when exactly this update will arrive is still not clear, as first the update must be prepared.
As soon as the update is available worldwide, the arenas will be reactivated and made accessible to trainers. From then on, there will be six permanent spots in the arena, without you having to train there first.
The battles against raid bosses will be gradually unlocked in the coming weeks and will initially only be accessible to players with a high account level. When these raid battles will start will be known soon. We will of course keep you updated.
Would Overwatch work in the style of a JRPG? A fan puts it to the test and shows: It would definitely be funny!
Whenever developers create a new game, it doesn’t take long for the fan community to think, “Cool game! But what if the game was not in genre X but in genre Y?” This quickly leads to funny videos where familiar heroes are viewed through a slightly different approach to their adventures.
The YouTuber The Salt Factory took Overwatch and wondered how it would play as a classic RPG. He used the fundamental design of the JRPG classic Final Fantasy IX, adopting its music and menus, and then enriched them with the character images of the Overwatch heroes.

Even in the menus and the item descriptions, many details can be found that hint at the history of the characters. However, the “main element” of the game is the genre-typical “random battle” against Roadhog. Of course, with the legendary ATB system (Active Time Battle), where you had to “wait” until a bar was filled so that a character could act.
The various abilities of the heroes were perfectly adopted in “Final Fantasy” style, with the original Ultimates being equated to the “Limit Break” or “Fury” attacks.
Cortyn says: When I see such videos, I always hope that the “classic” JRPGs with their outdated battle systems will get a revival – even in universes that actually don’t fit – like Overwatch. It’s a shame that Blizzard is not known for RPGs in this style and basically only produces multiplayer titles – but one can still dream.
With a new update for the space survival online game Hellion, women also find their way into space.
Hellion is a survival game that is quite challenging. It is anything but easy to survive in space. Staying alone in space for too long can lead to the hero’s virtual death due to lack of oxygen. Danger lurks everywhere, including from other players, as they can attack you in open PvP. Nevertheless, you try to build a base from old modules and space debris in order to embark on your solo expeditions and, for example, mine resources on asteroids.
Women, optimizations, and more in the new patch
This was previously only allowed for male characters, but the latest update now also introduces playable women. You can create a female character. But the update has even more to offer. This includes abandoned outposts that you are allowed to explore and search for valuable materials. New weapons and equipment as well as revamped ship controls are also included. In addition, a new loot distribution system is introduced, which aims to distribute loot more fairly among players. A lot of optimizations are also included.
To show you new gameplay and demonstrate what the patch changes, a new video has been released. This also gives you a good impression of the game in general. If you want a hardcore survival gaming experience, you can participate in the Early Access phase of Hellion.
The patch 0.2 will be released on June 22.

At E3, gameplay of Destiny 2 was shown on PC. Destiny 2 ran at 4k with 60 FPS. This received a lot of applause.
PC players are skeptical about Destiny 2
The skepticism of PC players towards Destiny 2 is significant. Destiny itself was a hit on PS4 and Xbox One, that’s clear. But PC players are skeptical. Too often, ports of major publishers from console games to PC have been technically second-rate, especially when it was contracted work outsourced to another studio.
But it looks like Destiny 2 on PC is significantly better than some expected. The PC version was playable at E3 at an Nvidia booth, and the experts are full of praise.
Digital Foundry, which checks games for Eurogamer for technical details, is impressed with the PC port. The system ran at maximum settings with a GTX 1080 Ti in 4k and with a locked 60 FPS.

The version is technically flawless and looks as good as hoped. Destiny scales beautifully on UHD. The upgrade compared to PlayStation 4 is immense. The key artwork of Destiny 2 is designed to be seen in ultra-HD.
After the article, Bungie responded again and noted that what Eurogamer saw isn’t even the maximum. Only “pretty high”, there’s still room for improvement.
Nvidia jumps on the Destiny 2 bandwagon with a bundle
The gaming tech giant NVIDIA jumps on the Destiny bandwagon. From June 13 to 27, buyers of a GTX 1080 Ti, a GTX 1080, or certain PCs or laptops will receive the PC version of Destiny.
Nvidia provided the PC version on which the Destiny 2 gameplay was recorded. Nvidia apparently sees Destiny as a perfect vehicle to showcase their technology to buyers.
There’s also another trailer with gameplay.

The biggest Pokémon GO update is almost here. You can expect raid battles with strong bosses, cooperative battles, badges, new items, and more!
The wait has clearly been worth it: The largest Pokémon GO update ever is about to arrive. New gym features with cooperative elements, collect items from gyms, gym badges, unique Pokémon, and much more. The new update has a lot to offer.
Gym Rework in Pokémon GO
The gyms in Pokémon GO will soon be heavily revised. You will be able to, just like at PokéStops, spin the photo disc to find items in gyms. This will turn gyms into another opportunity to acquire useful items in the game.
Six permanent Pokémon slots: You no longer need to increase the prestige of a gym through training, but have six permanent slots to choose from that the defending team can occupy. However, the Pokémon used must be unique – You cannot place six Snorlax in the gyms. Opposing teams must fight against the Pokémon in the order in which they were placed in the gym.
Motivation system: Pokémon placed in a gym will have a motivation meter. When defending Pokémon are defeated, their motivation decreases and their CP is temporarily reduced, making them easier to defeat.
To increase motivation, trainers can feed their Pokémon with berries.
Once motivation is completely lost, the Pokémon returns to its trainer after the next battle.
Gym Badges and Raid Battles in Pokémon GO
You can now earn gym badges and show that you are the very best. The badges show you how much you have contributed to the success of your team in a gym. You increase the level of the badges through battles, feeding berries, and spinning photo discs at gyms.
The higher the level of the gym badge, the greater the chance of receiving rare items when spinning the photo disc. There are also higher rewards for interacting with gyms.
Raid Battles
A raid battle is a cooperative in-game event where you work together with other trainers to defeat an extremely strong Pokémon (Raid Boss). (We are reminded of the trailer featuring Mewtwo)
Before a raid battle begins, all Pokémon currently in the gym are returned to their trainers. A large egg appears above the gym and shows a countdown. When the time is up, the Raid Boss appears!
To participate in a raid boss battle, you need a raid pass. You can pick up one free pass at a gym each day. However, you can only carry one pass at a time. Premium raid passes are available in the shop.
If you use your raid pass, you can work with up to 20 other trainers to defeat the raid boss. If you succeed within the 5-minute time limit, you can then catch the extremely strong Pokémon!
New Items in Pokémon GO
If you defeat the raid boss, you can expect great rewards. These include new items that are only available for defeating a raid boss:
Rare candies – A rare candy is a mysterious candy that turns into the candy of the Pokémon you give it to.
Golden Razz Berries – Greatly increases the catch rate of a wild Pokémon or fully restores the motivation of a gym defender.
Two types of TMs – Technical machines (fast and charged) – TMs can permanently teach your Pokémon a fast or charged attack.
To prepare the game for the update, all gyms will be shut down worldwide. Once the update is available in every country, the gyms will be reactivated.
The raid battles will be gradually activated in the coming weeks. Initially only as a test phase for trainers with high accounts and sponsored gyms.
How do you like the biggest Pokémon GO update so far? Have your wishes been fulfilled?

More gameplay from the mobile clone of Overwatch. The game sets new standards – unfortunately not upwards.
China is always good for some funny surprises thanks to the relatively lenient copyright laws, especially when particularly successful games are copied in the cheapest way to make a few bucks. A few days ago, we reported on the Overwatch clone “Hero Mission”, which basically contains mostly unoriginal rip-offs of the popular Overwatch characters.
The YouTuber Alpharad thought that after the success of the first video, he would show more gameplay scenes – and they do not disappoint either.

The animations are practically non-existent, and the game mechanics are copied down to the smallest detail from Overwatch.
But at least they didn’t just take the Overwatch heroes, but also threw in other characters. Characters like Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII), a Stormtrooper, or the Marvel hero Hawkeye can also be found in the game (who, however, functions exactly like Hanzo).
The only real difference from Overwatch seems to be the very light clothing of the female characters in the game and the associated “bouncy physics” for the breasts. Of course, such things cannot be missing in a blockbuster like Hero Mission.
Starting from June 23, Hero Mission will enter beta, and Alpharad promises to deliver more firsthand gameplay. However, he is not quite sure yet if he wants to play the mobile game on iOS or “Andrews”. Good grief.
No matter how much justified criticism one can direct at Blizzard and Overwatch – I think we can all agree that we are glad Overwatch doesn’t look like Hero Mission.
Final Fantasy XIV Stormblood is also known as version 4.0. In addition to new areas and classes, there are changes to the existing hero types and their gameplay. A separate page presents all the changes to the classes in detail.
Final Fantasy XIV Stormblood – Adjusted Skills – From Dark Knight to Summoner
As befits a major update, numerous balance adjustments will be implemented for the existing classes and jobs. For instance, the Dark Knight will become a better tank, as he generates more enmity with some skills and receives useful abilities like “Unleash” or Osmosis two levels earlier. Additionally, a whole slew of new commands such as “Blood Delirium” or “Quietus” will be introduced.
Each class in Final Fantasy 14 will receive new skills and adjustments to the old abilities. If you want to see all the innovations in the skill area in detail, Square Enix provides you with a clear page where you can find all changes and innovations.
A detailed description of all skills is also included. You can find the official job guide for Final Fantasy XIV at the given link. Enjoy browsing and optimizing your classes.
What do you think of the skill adjustments and the new abilities of the jobs? Was this long overdue, or has Final Fantasy XIV become less complex and demanding because of it? Let us know in the comments!
In a few hours, the gyms in Pokémon GO will be closed. Time to quickly grab your defense bonus!
It won’t be long now until the gyms in Pokémon GO are closed. A few days ago, the developers already announced that today, on Monday, it would happen. A Twitter update from Niantic now indicates that only a few hours remain.
The preparations for the gym rework in Pokémon GO are underway!
In preparation for the major gym overhaul in Pokémon GO, the gyms will be temporarily shut down today. The developers have not yet shared a specific time. It is also unclear how long the battle locations will be deactivated.
It was just revealed on Twitter that only a few hours remain until the shutdown of the gyms. This tweet was posted by the developers at 1:42 PM German time. Usually, major updates happen around 10:00 PM German time, but there is no guarantee for this time this time.
Trainers who have Pokémon in the gyms should quickly grab their defender bonus before it’s too late. If the Pokémon have already returned, there will be no coin credit for that.

When the gyms are shut down, your Pokémon will return from the gyms back to their Poké Balls and will be with you again.
This shutdown is in preparation for the major gym overhaul planned in Pokémon GO. The developers and players are not satisfied with the current battle system in gyms and therefore want changes.
What changes the overhaul will bring is still unclear. It is expected to include co-op features that require players to work together. We are very excited about the new gym and are curious about what new features await us there.

Gamerate quotes another statement from Soderlund: It is said that there are plans to support Anthem with content for 10 years after the launch, which is set for fall 2018.
Anthem is a social game where you embark on quests and journeys with your friends. It is a game that we have been working on for almost four years now, and once we release it next year, I think it will be the start of a 10-year journey for us.
How this 10-year journey of Anthem will look specifically is still unknown. A Destiny-like content plan is conceivable: major sequels may be released every few years, while expansions, updates, and patches are rolled out in between and events are held from time to time.
Currently, however, it is still too early to speculate on future expansions of Anthem. After all, little is known about the main game itself.
Bottom line: Apparently, there are big plans for Anthem.
Anthem launches in fall 2018 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

In For Honor, the ranked matches are getting closer. The tournament and ranked mode is set to be tested later this month.
For Honor urgently needs new, exciting features to stop the dwindling player numbers and win back the player masses. The upcoming ranked mode may be able to provide the necessary fresh air.
A tournament and ranked mode was already announced during the “Year 1” plans. However, detailed information about this activity – how this mode will specifically look – is still missing.
Ranked matches are usually designed so that you can rise in rank with victories, and the higher the rank at the end, the better the rewards. The mode is likely to work similarly in For Honor.
It is said that it will be released later this year.
Now Ubisoft announced in “This Week in For Honor” that we will soon receive more details about the ranked mode: A public test for the ranked and tournament mode is expected to take place at the end of June. Then we will get a first detailed insight into this new feature.
When will the ranked matches go live?
Just a few weeks ago, Ubisoft stated that initially public test servers (PTS) will be held to test the ranked matches beforehand. The PTS are expected to be available only on PC.
Following this testing phase, a beta version will be made available to the entire community.
Season 3 of For Honor starts in August. Ubisoft expects that you will be able to play a lot of ranked matches then. The release of this new feature will likely coincide with the launch of the third season.
As soon as Ubisoft publishes more information about the ranked matches, we will report on it.
