Cloud Pirates, the airship action game from My.com, is getting a major update called “Burning Tide.” This will bring you a new map, a game mode, a tutorial feature, and new treasure maps with special rewards.
In Cloud Pirates, you sail with steampunk airships through a landscape of floating islands and combat other ships. It’s already a lot of fun, but with the new update “Burning Tide”, the game will be expanded.

Cloud Pirates – Burning Tide Update – Off to the Treasure Canyon!
With the update “Burning Tide” comes the new map “Treasure Canyon”. This is a canyon with a large tree. After an epic aerial battle, the area was struck by a curse, resulting in many dark corners. In the canyon, you have plenty of opportunities to hide and engage enemies in close combat.
For fans of the 7vs7 Brotherhood battles, there is a new mode called “Moving Capture Points”. These battles play out somewhat like regular capture point rounds. The only difference is that the capture points move after a while, and you need to adapt your tactics accordingly. Simply camping at the capture point won’t help.
Cloud Pirates – First Mate as Tutorial and New Treasure Maps
Other highlights of the Burning Tide update are the new Lost Crew treasure maps that you can loot. These work like regular treasure maps but offer different rewards:
50,000 gold
3,000 free experience
2 days premium
Crew contracts in one of three quality levels
Crew skill reset
Tavern expansion
Experienced talking parrot
Beginners will also be happy to see the “First Mate.” This crew member helps you learn your craft as the captain of an airship. He provides you with valuable tips in the game if you wish.
The GO Fest in Pokémon GO is approaching. Here you will find everything about worldwide rewards, event start times, and possible legendary Pokémon.
The upcoming Pokémon GO Fest raises some questions in the trainer community. When does it start, how can one participate, and at what times can one join?
In this overview, we want to answer the most common questions about GO Fest 2017.
Pokémon GO Fest – Event, Time, Rewards
The GO Fest is planned as the largest Pokémon GO event to date and will take place on July 22, 2017, in Chicago. However, that does not mean that only trainers present there can participate. Worldwide challenges and rewards await you. Additionally, there is a mysterious challenge that players are very eager about.
Worldwide Rewards for Participating in the GO Fest
Those who do not travel to Chicago can still participate in the event. Rewards include extended bonuses (such as stardust or extra EXP) and a mysterious challenge in the game.
This mysterious task is announced by Niantic as follows: “If trainers around the world manage to catch enough Pokémon, a special challenge will be revealed in Grant Park, which – once mastered – will unlock an additional special bonus worldwide.”
Trainers in Grant Park (Chicago) will have to complete a special challenge if trainers around the world have unlocked this through Pokémon catches. Afterward, all trainers worldwide will receive a “special bonus” when the task is completed in Chicago.
What kind of task this is remains unclear.
Is the task for legendary Pokémon?
No one can currently say for certain that the mentioned task and its reward involve legendary Pokémon. While the suspicion is strong, Niantic has not confirmed this yet.
Are the legendary Pokémon only available in Chicago?
Probably not. The announcement states that a “Mystery Challenge” will be revealed in Chicago: a mysterious challenge.
If it is solved, there should be a special bonus worldwide. If legendary Pokémon are released at the GO Fest, we suspect that they will also be available worldwide.
How You Can Participate in the GO Fest Event
During the GO Fest, there will be three time windows where you can participate in the event worldwide. These time windows are only active for 30 minutes each. During this time, you need to catch as many Pokémon as possible to extend the duration of the bonuses. It’s best to have a lure module ready during the event times and make yourself comfortable near PokéStops and nests.
The following image shows you when these time windows are active in Germany.
If trainers around the world catch particularly many Pokémon in the three time windows, the medals Bronze, Silver, and Gold will be unlocked. Bronze increases the duration of the bonuses by 24 hours, silver by 48 hours.
If we achieve the Gold Medal, the mysterious challenge will be unlocked.
With the new expansion of Hearthstone there are a few cards for free for the players – namely a Death Knight each!
The next Hearthstone expansion “Knights of the Frozen Throne” is eagerly awaited by the players. But how will the expansion exactly unfold? What is the deal with the Death Knights? And will there be free card packs for the players again?
The Game Director of Hearthstone, Ben Brode, has taken the time between announcements to answer a lot of questions from the community. On Reddit, he participated in one of the popular “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) sessions and shared a lot of knowledge. Although many of the points were already known, there were also some new developments.
Death Knights for all in Knights of the Frozen Throne
Brode revealed that at the release of “Knights of the Frozen Throne” every player will receive a free Death Knight – essentially a “transformation” of the regular hero into their undead form. Whether we have a choice or will be randomly assigned one is still to be determined.
Knights of the Frozen Throne is also the first “major” card expansion that comes with missions. These are free for all players and do not need to be purchased separately, as was previously the case with adventures. However, this time there will probably be no specific cards as a reward, but rather card packs from the latest expansion.
Thus, Free2Play players should also enjoy some packs from the new expansion without investing a cent into the game.
“Knights of the Frozen Throne” is scheduled to be released in early August. No specific date has been announced yet.
The online shooter Star Wars Battlefront 2 will have a single-player campaign. First insights and an introduction of the characters can be found in a “Behind the Scenes” video: This time the heroes are on the side of the Empire.
This weekend is all about Disney. The Disney D23 Expo 2017 is taking place in Anaheim, California. Since 2012, Star Wars has been part of Disney, so there is now information on “Star Wars Battlefront 2.”
EA shows a “Behind the Scenes Look” into the campaign of Star Wars Battlefront 2.

In the video, we are introduced to members of the Inferno Squad and thus important characters of the campaign.
Iden Versio is the “heroine” of the campaign. She grew up in an imperial family, having been sent to a military camp as a child. Everything in her life has prepared her for her task of serving the Empire as the leader of the special forces unit Inferno Squad.
Hask is an eager Imperial, a hardliner through and through. He believes that the Empire means peace and order. He is unwavering in his belief in the Empire.
Del is more laid-back and well-traveled. He can make Iden Versio laugh. He seems to play the role of a “soft” Imperial.
Iden’s father, Garrick Versio, is an Admiral of the Empire and thus not only the father of the heroine but also her commanding officer. The relationship between father and daughter seems to play an important role in the campaign of Star Wars Battlefront 2: The father wants his daughter to understand him.
What happens when an Empire collapses?
The video repeatedly emphasizes that the campaign of Star Wars Battlefront 2 aims to show the other side of the conflict:
How does an Empire function without an Emperor?
How does the organization operate?
What happened after “Return of the Jedi?”
What does it feel like to live in a universe that is falling apart?
It will still be a while before players can get their hands on the single-player campaign of Star Wars Battlefront 2. But the multiplayer beta will start soon for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Here are the details:
Slowly but surely, new information about Cyberpunk 2077 is leaking out, the new game from the makers of The Witcher. We will tell you everything important that there is to know so far.
What do we know about Cyberpunk 2077, the new game from the Witcher creators?
The creators of the Witcher series, CD Projekt RED, have been working on a new RPG for quite some time. However, not much is known about Cyberpunk 2077 so far, other than that it will be an RPG set in the future, loosely based on the tabletop Cyberpunk 2020. Because 2020 is no longer as far away as it once was, the year has been slightly adjusted.
The game takes place largely in an open world, in a city named Night City. Since not all characters in the game speak English, it is initially not possible to understand all NPCs. Therefore, players must first upgrade themselves with various implants to be able to understand more and more people (which then unlocks new missions).

The classes from the tabletop Cyberpunk 2020 are set to come to Cyberpunk 2077
But what classes will there be in Cyberpunk 2077? According to the author of the tabletop Cyberpunk 2020, who is involved in the development of Cyberpunk 2077, “many, if not all” classes from the old game will also be present in the PC version. This means that the following classes will likely be available:
Cop (Police Officer)
Corporate
Fixer (Information Broker)
Media (Journalists, Reporters, etc.)
Netrunner (Hacker)
Nomad (Street Fighter)
Rockerboy (Rebels who primarily protest with music)
Solo (Assassins, Bodyguards, etc.)
Techie (Outlaw Technicians/Mechanics)
Med-Tech (Street Doctors)
How exactly they will live in this world and how they will differ in gameplay remains to be seen.
There will also be a multiplayer mode. However, how this will turn out is also uncertain.By the way, more employees are working on Cyberpunk 2077 than on Witcher III. It is the largest project by CD Projekt RED so far.
Cyberpunk is set to be released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One at an unknown date.
For Honor has a large player base. Reports of dwindling player numbers are said to be fake news – according to Ubisoft.
At the end of May, we reported that interest in For Honor had declined. Shortly before, new content went live with the second faction war season, but hardly anyone seemed to care about it. Player numbers on Steam continued to drop, and Google interest remained unimpressed by the season launch. Many other gaming sites noticed this as well and wrote about the continuous downward trend in For Honor.
Now, nearly two months later, the daily player count on Steam has halved again. The player base now stands at a weary 1500 players. In comparison: The Division has over 5000 – and this, despite the last major content update being in February.
Although numbers are usually not up for debate, the developers do not want to hear anything about player decline. On the contrary: Recently, Ubisoft’s community developer Eric Pope referred to reports of too few players as “fake news” during a livestream.
We have many people in For Honor, fake news people!
In the stream, Pope talked about a new patch that was supposed to be released later that day. It would take a few hours before it would be available to all players, according to the developer.
He added:
We have many players in For Honor. Believe it or not, fake news people, we have many players in For Honor for whom we are [the update] releasing.

Unfortunately, it isn’t possible to see the exact player numbers on PS4, Xbox One, and Uplay. On Xbox, you can only see that For Honor lags far behind games like Ghost Recon Wildlands or Star Wars Battlefront in the “Most Played Games” rankings. However, even on these platforms, a similar picture is likely to emerge as with the Steam player base.
Eric Pope apparently sees it differently and distances himself from the negative press reports.
Is Roadhog’s weapon a real threat? A few blacksmiths have recreated the dangerous hook – with a lot of love for detail!
Video games and other works often inspire the imagination of hard-working people who want to bring things from fantasy worlds into the real world. There are many reports of blacksmiths recreating Frostmourne (WoW), the Iron Throne (Game of Thrones), or other weapons.
The blacksmiths from Man at Arms: Reforged have now turned to Overwatch characters. Although most weapons are rather futuristic and recreating a Photon Projector from Symmetra is quite difficult, there are a few exceptions. A prime example of this is Roadhog’s hook, which has long been demanded by fans.
Roadhog’s hook as true craftsmanship
The finished video was published on the AWE me YouTube channel, in which they document the creation of the dangerous hook in detail. And there is also a little “Let’s destroy some evil lemonade bottles” scene at the end.

Roadhog’s hook partly goes back to the medieval weapon of the man-catcher – such as the barbs built into the weapon.
Cortyn says: Even though I find it remarkable how much work and attention to detail goes into the creation of such a weapon, these videos become rather boring with an increasing number. For “people in the know”, it’s certainly very exciting to see which devices and methods were used to grind, mill, enchant, and oil the whole thing – but surely 5 minutes less of the video would have sufficed. Still, it’s cool to see how many details were incorporated.
What do you think of these blacksmith videos about famous weapons from video games?
Reporting a player for their misconduct in Overwatch often feels pointless. But why doesn’t Blizzard provide feedback?
Update: Jeff Kaplan has now intervened and explained that there was a communication issue. The team is indeed working on providing better feedback for players.
Original report: In Overwatch, you often encounter players who drive you to the brink. Either they behave like a bull in a china shop in (voice) chat, or they give up right from the start because you’re not dancing to their tune (“Switch or I go AFK!”). Those who misbehave can be reported in Overwatch.
But for the reporter, it often feels like the report is just sent straight to the recycling bin through the internet. There is no proper feedback on whether a player’s report actually leads to a penalty. And because there is no real response, some players refrain from making a report at all. “It doesn’t matter anyway,” is the sentiment of many.
Feedback on reports would lead to exploitation
Some users have now asked on Twitter why Blizzard doesn’t simply say, “Your report has been processed, the affected player will be penalized” – or provide a similar response.
Blizzard’s customer service responded on Twitter:
“This would lead to the harassment and false reporting system being abused.”

Cortyn states: I find the reasoning extremely flimsy and do not understand why such a system can be exploited. They should just increase the penalties for “false reports” and there should be no issues. Or am I overlooking an important point?
Can you understand Blizzard’s reasoning? Or does it just seem like an excuse to you?
Among the biggest changes in Destiny 2 is the revised weapon system. You’ll notice this immediately when you play the beta of Destiny 2.
So far, weapons in Destiny were categorized into primary weapons, secondary weapons, and heavy weapons. In Destiny 2, there are new categories that you will have to get used to:
Kinetic weapons: In this slot, you can use all previous types of primary weapons (hand cannon, scout rifle, pulse rifle, and auto rifle) as well as sidearms and the new SMGs. All weapons in this slot deal kinetic damage.
Energy weapons: This slot includes the same types of weapons as in the kinetic slot. The big difference is: These weapons deal energy or elemental damage (solar, arc, void). Energy weapons are particularly good at destroying enemy shields and eliminating guardians in their active super during PvP.
Power weapons: This slot contains all weapons that can kill opposing guardians with just one shot. When asked directly which weapons are in this slot, the developers always responded: grenade launchers (new weapon category), rocket launchers, shotguns, snipers, and fusion rifles (with linear fusion rifles). There are no more machine guns. Presumably, the swords are also in the power slot.
How did this change in the weapon system come about?
The game director Luke Smith (via PC Gamer) and project lead Mark Noseworthy (via GameSpot) were asked about the benefits of this change. The answer: There are several advantages.
According to Noseworthy, the new design encourages you to experiment much more with the weapons and try new things. Because now entirely new combinations are possible. If you really enjoy using scout rifles, you can equip two slots with scout rifles. However, Noseworthy advises against that. Instead, you should also try out other weapons that you haven’t used before. He himself always played with scout rifles in Destiny. But now he can also equip a hand cannon or an auto rifle or whatever, because in case of emergency, he can always switch back to the scout rifle.
Smith emphasizes another advantage: Since the launch of Destiny in 2014, guardians have loved it when their favorite weapon type received a weapon with elemental damage. As an example, he mentions the Grasp of Malice and the hype surrounding this elemental hand cannon. In Destiny 2, there will be many more of the former primary weapon types – that players spent a lot of time with and will continue to spend time with – that deal elemental damage.
Additionally, there is an advantage for PvP: All weapons that can kill you with just one shot are now in the power slot. For this, you need power ammo, which becomes regularly available on the battlefield. The innovation is: When you pick up power ammo, every ally and every enemy can see: Who picked up the ammo? For which weapon did they pick it up? And where did they pick it up? On the screen, a message might appear, for example: “Smith has loaded a shotgun in the garden.” This way, everyone knows that Smith is running around with a loaded shotgun and should be prepared for it.
Whereas in Destiny 1, for example, you could equip a shotgun and a rocket launcher at the same time, you now have to make new decisions with these powerful weapons. Are you more of a shotgun or sniper type? Or do you prefer a grenade launcher instead? If you say: “I am clearly a sniper player,” you have to think about how this choice affects your kinetic and energy slots. This is intended to create “more interesting decisions” for the players.
More information about the weapons:
Can the same hand cannon drop as a kinetic or energy version? Can you later decide which slot the drop belongs to? No, the weapons are predetermined for the slots. Weapon A will always drop only for the kinetic slot, and weapon B will always drop only for the energy slot. The weapons also have different names.
The weapons in the power slot will be slightly buffed. They deal more damage than in Destiny 1.
In PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds it is very difficult to win a round and the victory is fiercely contested. However, a player who suffers from an extreme handicap has still managed to carry off the victory – and not just once!
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds allows 100 players to compete against each other and only one (or one team) can remain at the end and carry off the victory with the relieving phrase “Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner”. Due to the high player count and the lack of respawns, one mistake can be the last, and victory is known to be fiercely and intensely contested.
Many players of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds have therefore already played the game dozens of times and still never won.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – Playing Despite Paraplegia
Even more impressive is the performance of a player known on Twitch as RockyNoHands. Rocky has been in a wheelchair for over 11 years and is completely paralyzed. He cannot move his arms or legs. Nevertheless, he is an enthusiastic gamer and streamer. Due to his disability, he uses a special controller called Quadstick that he can operate with his mouth and head.
It all sounds quite complicated, but through long practice, Rocky can now play effectively and so well that he has already been the last one standing in a match of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds multiple times.

Wild West Online is one of those cases where an attractive new MMO seems to appear out of nowhere and suddenly gains attention. But can a game that looks so AAA actually deliver AAA quality, or is it just a facade?
Is Wild West Online something worth investing money in?
Proximity to Red Dead Redemption 2 purposely sought and found
Wild West Online’s first appearance was particularly clever.
“Somebody” leaked a western screenshot in a GTA forum, labeled as a “leaked screenshot”. The press jumped on it and said, “These are the first images from Red Dead Redemption 2, the new hit from the creators of GTA – amazing.”
Then came the reveal: “No, that’s not Red Dead Redemption. That’s our new game Wild West Online.”
But something seems off with the game, although no one can quite say what exactly.
Content creators on YouTube and Redditors have been discussing this topic for some time, and it keeps resurfacing. The UK edition of Kotaku has attempted to get to the bottom of the issue in a lengthy article.
Doubts that Wild West Online can be as good as it looks
There are some warning signals:
No one really knows in detail who is behind the project and who is working on it. Everything is vague. It is said that employees have years of experience in the genre. There are also some key players. But Kotaku’s investigations to bring more information to light have come up empty.
Instead, more and more connections between the involved companies were found. The question arises, whether the team is even capable of managing such a massive MMO at this level.
There are indications that the controversial Sergey Titov is behind the game or closely tied to it. Titov owns several companies that have released games that have a bad reputation among gamers – like “War Z.”
Wild West Online tries to distance itself from Titov and his company Free Reign Games, while internet detectives do everything they can to link Titov and his company to the game.
Connections to controversial games like War Z or Shattered Skies
However, Wild West Online states: We are only using the engine developed by one of Titov’s companies. He himself has nothing to do with the project.
YouTubers and Redditors find parallels that indicate Titov is connected to Wild West Online. However, these parallels are not really conclusive. Here are a few examples:
The PR firm that handles Wild West Online also did PR for Free Reign Entertainment.
The URLs of Wild West Online and Shattered Skies (a game from Free Reign) are very similar.
On their own, these are all coincidences, but in accumulation and combined with the engine, they are enough to raise doubts.
Fog surrounds the game
Kotaku says: It’s not so much about whether Titov is involved, but rather that the web of companies is so opaque that the mere fog surrounding the project is reason enough for many players to doubt Wild West Online.

Parallels to Ashes of Creation and ARK Survival Evolved
This situation “A hopeful online game appears out of nowhere and there are doubts about whether it is all legitimate” has occurred several times in recent years.
The most popular example is ARK: Survival Evolved. The lead designer had to remain anonymous for a long time, because he was still contractually bound to a competitor. Only years later, after an expensive settlement, could the lead developer reveal that he was the genius behind the dinosaur hit. Until then, hardly anyone could explain how such a game could come “out of nowhere”.

Completely different is YouTuber “Th3Jez”, who increased significantly in 2017. Since April 2017, his channel has been growing by 10,000 to 20,000 subscribers monthly.
Bungie Interview with the Australian shooting star
A community interview at Bungie may have helped. In March 2017, Th3Jez talked about what inspired him to start YouTube. More Console had said: “To be successful on YouTube, create great content and put your personality in it.” This inspired Th3Jez to create his own content.
And two years later, he was able to tell this story to MoreConsole himself, in an outdoor jacuzzi in the midst of a pine forest in America while visiting the Bungie studio.
He was especially inspired by Gothalion and Professor Broman, who created a friendly atmosphere in their channels, thus forming one of the best gaming communities in the world.
Source: Twitter Th3Jez
With normal content there were many views, with sarcasm the subscriptions
Th3Jez engages his community mainly with satirical and witty videos. With his seemingly emotionless, robotic voice, he delivers lines that are full of self-irony and damn clever.
Th3Jez had his first successes with relatively “normal” Destiny content, which were already humorously constructed. By the end of 2016, first videos about particularly good weapons or guides to jump puzzles had strong view counts, ranging from 200,000 to 300,000 video views.
During that time, his channel did not grow that strongly yet. People watched the videos, but did not necessarily subscribe to Th3Jez.
This changed with the format “in a nutshell”.
With an “In a nutshell” about the Iron Banner, his big success story began in April 2017 . These videos went through the roof and are likely behind the growth spurt that is still ongoing.
It begins with: “You must have randomly clicked on the video. But that doesn’t bother me, because the growing viewer count is one of the few things in my life that still brings me joy. I am dead inside. That’s from playing too much Destiny.”
One can be curious to see how the international and national YouTube scene around Destiny changes with Destiny 2 and the beta. With Destiny 2, Th3Jez (143,000 subscribers) could quickly catch up to MoreConsole (746,000 subscribers) and Datto (679,000 subscribers). But that is still a long way to go.

Black Desert Online has revealed a new heroine. Her name is Mystic and she is a female counterpart of the Striker. She and the next major expansion Kamasilve are expected to come to our version of Black Desert in 2017.
The new class in Black Desert is called “Mystic” and seems to be a female version of the Striker.

Black Desert Online – Female Striker coming later this year
The Mystic indeed resembles the Striker in many ways. She wears armored gloves, presents herself in a typical martial arts pose, and even has similar hair to the Striker. The big difference seems to be the red ribbons that she wears on her combat gloves.
She might be able to bind and hinder opponents, which would make her a control character. Then the Mystic would be ideal for PvP. It remains exciting, which awakening weapon she will get later. The Striker is already setting the bar high with his clone-creating battle armor. Maybe the Mystic will receive an aura of deadly swirling ribbons?
The new heroine will initially appear in Korea.
Expectations in the second half of 2017 for Black Desert Europe
In the fourth quarter of 2017, she is expected to come to the European version of Black Desert. Additionally, Kakao-Games plans to release more information about the new heroine in the coming weeks. Hopefully also about the awakening weapon.
Furthermore, the long-awaited Kamasilve update should arrive in the second half of 2017, the horde mode in PvE as well as a new PvP arena.
What do you think of the new heroine? Were you expecting a female Striker or more of a mage? And what do you think her awakening weapon will be? Let us know in the comments!
In Destiny 2 you will hear a lot. The sound in PvP is supposed to be different from that in PvE.
Via IGN First there are new, exclusive info about Destiny 2. This time it’s about the sound of the sequel.
Since Thursday, the beta of Destiny 2 has been available for download. Many of you have likely already started the demo to listen to the fantastic soundtrack on the login screen for minutes. Now there are more melodies and sounds to hear from Destiny 2 – and interesting info to go with it:

The Head of Audio Jay Weinland and the Music Director Skye Lewin talk about this important area of the MMO shooter. Because the soundscape determines the atmosphere, the mood, the “feeling” of a game. And in Destiny 2, you can look forward to “unique sounds”.
First, it’s about the weapon sounds. These have a huge influence on the enjoyment of playing with a weapon. They need to feel good and sound good when you hold the weapon in your hands, as well as when someone else is holding it. The different distances to the weapon must be reflected in the sound.
Moreover, a ton of different sounds for the variety of weapons is needed. If all guns sounded the same, it would be boring.
For the PvP area, they made something “completely different” with the sounds: In the fight “Guardian against Guardian”, the sounds are mixed differently than in single player. In PvP, you hear the enemies better than your teammates. This way, you can react more precisely to the imminent danger.
Melodies from Destiny 1 Return
The music in Destiny 2 serves to enhance the emotions of the story and player experience. However, they do not want to dictate to players what they should feel.
For Destiny 2, the melodies pose the challenge of balancing between
the feeling that Destiny 1 created
and the goal of creating new melodies,
to find. Some melodies from Destiny 1 will therefore return, but you will also hear new music that will also convey the Destiny feeling.
Both the enemies and the different worlds have their special, typical sounds that create unique moods. Overall, a lot of passion and time has been invested in the sounds of Destiny 2.
By the way: The sounds related to rewards are particularly important. When you get your loot, when you let engrams decrypt, or open chests like those on the Lighthouse, the sounds must be right.
The popular “Sound Guy” in the community unfortunately does not appear in the IGN video:
Cortyn has extensively played Stukov, the new addition in Heroes of the Storm. The new supporter is impressive!
In recent days, I have been playing Heroes of the Storm more frequently. This is not only due to the current summer event, which features some fun skins and sprays, but also due to the new hero in the Nexus: Stukov. The good Terran was already a significant figure in StarCraft, made an appearance in StarCraft 2, and quickly became one of the most popular characters overall. But who can resist the infested Terran with the penetrating eyes (at least, if you’re a Zerg)?
So I equipped the nicely red “Dictator Stukov” skin, along with a flaming horse, Zerg banner, and Nova’s spray logo, and (what else?) Sparkles as the announcer.
Stukov: A healer who needs brains
Stukov differs from other supporters in Heroes of the Storm in that he requires planning and timing. His healing pathogen is a relatively weak heal-over-time effect (HoT), which jumps to other allies every second.
By pressing a key, you can blow up this HoT with the immunoreaction and heal all affected allies for a large amount. The greatest effect is achieved when all teammates are affected by the HoT. But in the heat of battle, there is rarely 5 seconds to wait for everyone to receive the HoT.
The problem is: The “exploding” of the HoTs is not the only effect. His ability “Viral Cyst” infects all hit enemy heroes and applies a damage-over-time effect (DoT) and a slow. With the immunoreaction, this effect is also triggered, causing higher damage and a stronger slow.
The crux is that the immunoreaction has a relatively long cooldown of 16 seconds. If you do not precisely time the moment to trigger both the HoTs and the DoTs, you waste the strongest cooldown without any significant effect.
Where Stukov strikes, nothing grows anymore
Stukov’s automatic attacks are truly amusing. Because he is “only” a supporter, he is underestimated by many enemies. However, Stukov has one of the strongest (and slowest) auto-attacks in the game! To give a comparison: In the endgame, Stukov can kill minions with just one hit – without using abilities. Where the long Zerg arm reaches, grass doesn’t grow anymore.

Moreover, Stukov is a bit of a troll at heart. Because his heroic ability Massive Shove pushes an enemy away in a straight line – and keeps going until he collides with some object. And that can easily be the whole lane! Bonus points are awarded on the “Towers of Doom” map – if you push an enemy into the death zone, you are guaranteed a kill.
Equally “trolly” is the Deep Arm. This ability creates a zone where enemies take damage and are silenced. With the right talents, the zone becomes so large that whole paths and even fort gates can be blocked. Due to the high range of the ability, it often drives enemies crazy – a wonderfully satisfying feeling!
Conclusion: A cool healer who requires finesse
Stukov excels in situations where his team is closely grouped together – either a pure melee or a pure ranged team. In a mixed group, Stukov must ensure that healing jumps to all allies, which is why he has to be particularly careful to always stand in the right spot.
Although Stukov is only rated as “medium difficulty” by the game, I find it extremely challenging to play Stukov really solidly. It’s a bit comparable to Chromie, as only good planning ensures that Stukov is actually an asset to the team. But if it succeeds, you can single-handedly decide the games. My life for the swarm!
Have you already played some matches with or against Stukov? How do you like the new hero?
Legendary gems that were leveled through exploits were reverted by Blizzard with a rollback. But now, Diablo 3 players allegedly retrieved their gems.
In recent days, exploits have been an important topic in the Diablo 3 community. By exploiting an unintended game mechanic, players reached particularly high levels in Nephalem Rifts, increased their Paragon levels, and leveled legendary gems to unusually high tiers.
Of course, Blizzard didn’t like that and ordered a rollback. This at least reset the legendary gems. But now the exploiters claim they have outsmarted the developers with their own feature.
If the rollback gets re-rolled
It sounds like a flat comedy: After Blizzard took away the exploiters’ “acquired” gems, they are now using Blizzard’s system to retrieve them.
The story begins about a week ago: Blizzard rolled out a new patch on the live servers of Diablo 3 and provided the community with new content like the Necromancer. The Necromancer is a new class in Diablo 3 that had to be thoroughly tested by many players.
During this, players noticed an exploit. An exploit in video games refers to exploiting game mechanics that were not planned “that way”. In this case, the interaction of two skills allowed players to quickly kill enemies and granted significant advantages to those who exploited it. They could suddenly complete higher objectives in Diablo 3 and were rewarded with experience points and upgrades for legendary gems.
Blizzard responded to the exploit. They apparently understood the players who were upset about the exploit users and announced a rollback. This “rollback” ensures that the gems are set back to a lower level that can be achieved through legitimate gameplay.
A solution that part of the community was satisfied with. If it weren’t for Blizzard’s own system. The exploiters say they used this to make the developers look bad.
Players claim to have exploited Blizzard’s own system
Blizzard has a support feature where players can “rollback” their accounts. And allegedly, players are now using this rollback feature to bring the gems back to their high level.
In summary, the story looks like this:
Players used an exploit to bring their legendary gems to level 140-150
Blizzard deploys a hotfix to the servers and fixes the exploit
The developers activate a rollback and return the affected characters to the state before the exploit.
Players use Blizzard’s official support rollback feature to return their characters to the state after the exploit and before the rollback. This means they have again the high tiers of the legendary gems and simply used Blizzard’s rollback function.
Blizzard contradicts the story
In the meantime, Blizzard spoke up. According to community manager Tyvalir, there are no cases where the re-rollback was utilized. Players in the chat rooms of Diablo 3 keep claiming to have exploited this system, but Blizzard has not been able to find evidence of this.
The tank Reinhardt in Overwatch has been causing problems for many players. But now there is hope for fixes.
The German knight Reinhardt has long been one of the most popular heroes in Overwatch. This was not only due to his simply lovable personality, but also to his solid kit of abilities, which made him essential for many groups.
But those times are already over. Reinhardt has been weakened, mainly due to annoying bugs. His Fire Strike has a smaller hitbox, his Hammer and Ultimate sometimes deal no damage, and his Charge rarely hits the intended targets, instead just pushing them aside. For several months, this has caused problems and frustration, so hardly anyone wanted to play Reinhardt anymore.
Many Reinhardt bugs have already been fixed (on the PTR)
But now the Game Director Jeff Kaplan has spoken up in the official forum. They have reviewed the bugs and issues and plan to make the following changes to Reinhardt:
The hitbox of Fire Strike has been enlarged.
Swing issues of the hammer related to latency have been fixed.
Reinhardt’s hammer swing speed has been increased by 10%.
Some bugs with animation cancellation have been fixed (which also relates to latency).
The animations of Fire Strike and Charge now synchronize independently of latency.
Charge now reliably pins opponents instead of pushing them aside.
Charge now reliably pins opponents when charging up a staircase or ramp.
One problem still remains with Earth Shatter. Occasionally, hit enemies are not stunned. However, they want to fix this as well and hope to offer a solution by the release of patch 1.13.
In The Division, vendors receive fresh deals today, on 15th July. It is Vendor Reset. Where is it worth to grab?
The last days were quite turbulent in The Division. At the beginning of the week, PTS invitations were sent out to European agents. However, many agents complained that they did not receive any emails. Massive admitted that there were errors. On Thursday, the console PTS went live – but without the American agents. Because there were problems with sending the emails.
Just a few hours ago, Massive announced that the emails have finally been sent. Now the public test servers on PS4 and Xbox One can be fully tested.
If you are among the many players who did not receive emails, or if you simply don’t feel like the PTS, you can now visit the vendors in the main game again. It is Vendor Reset.

On the evening of July 14th, there are login issues with Pokémon GO. Once again, accounts of the Pokémon Trainer Club are affected.
Players of Pokémon GO have been complaining about login issues since around 7:30 PM. Particularly affected are those players who use the Pokémon Trainer Club (PTC) as their login method. Niantic is aware of the issues and is already working on a solution.
Update: The login issues have now been resolved and you should be able to log in again.
Pokémon GO Down on July 14th.
Once again, the login servers of the Pokémon Trainer Club have been affected. In recent months, there have been frequent issues here that kept players from gaming. Niantic had actually wanted to fix these problems in a patch, but they are occurring again. Users logging in via their Google account are currently experiencing no major login issues.
A summary on AlleStörungen.de shows the magnitude of the current server outage of Pokémon GO:
Many trainers are also complaining about the login issues on Reddit and other social networks. Apparently, this time it is a larger disruption again.
The developers are already aware of the issues and are currently working on finding a solution. On Twitter, Pokémon GO states that they are aware of the login problems with the Pokémon Trainer Club:
