The update “Smuggler’s Run” for GTA Online introduces a new game mode called “Motor Wars”. In this mode, you fight your way through a horde of like-minded players in true PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds style in a Battle Royale.
GTA Online not only brings new cars, planes, hangars, and tuning items with the new update Smuggler’s Run. There is also a new game mode called “Motor Wars”. In this mode, you fight in one of four teams against the other teams. Since it is a Battle Royale mode, there can only be one team left standing at the end.
GTA Online Motor Wars – Like PUBG, but with battle cars!
Due to the Battle Royale gameplay, Motor Wars strongly resembles the current frontrunner in the genre: PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Like in PUBG, you are dropped into Motor Wars via parachute over an area where there are plenty of weapons, ammunition, bombs, items, and upgraded combat vehicles to be found.
To prevent players from hiding forever and to ensure that the action picks up, the playing field shrinks over time until opponents can barely move and the carnage becomes particularly brutal and ruthless. Unlike in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, you can see your enemies on the radar at any time and specifically hunt them down.
Motor Wars is also a reimagining of the well-known GTA Online game mode “Penned In”. However, back then you could only race around in cars and not get out and kill enemies on foot.
The World of WarcraftUpdate 7.3 “Shadows of Argus” is finally playable. In addition to extensive changes to class balance and new content, the patch also offers many innovations. Some of these are particularly interesting for twinks and new or returning players.
Artifact Knowledge: Never Forget to Research Again!
This book will probably not be visited by rogues as often anymore.
The artifact knowledge that increases the artifact power gained from corresponding tokens automatically increases since 7.3. Each week, the knowledge increases by 1, without players having to do anything for it.
Additionally, the artifact knowledge is set to the current level upon reaching level 110. It is now a global property. Everyone now has the same level of knowledge, which they simply receive upon reaching the maximum level – regardless of whether they are a regular player, twink, or latecomer.
For those who were not familiar with the system: At the beginning of Legion, players could conduct artifact research that provided a research note every 5 days. This had to be picked up and used to increase knowledge. A maximum of two researches were possible at the same time.
With a later patch, compendiums could be purchased that became available after reaching 5 levels of knowledge (and later also roles for the intervening ones). The main character (or any character with corresponding knowledge) could buy the account-bound items in their order hall for resources and send them to the twinks. Any character that was behind the main’s progress could research faster. Nevertheless, reaching knowledge level 40 without compendiums took a long time.
Immaculate and Abandoned: New Gear to Catch Up
Ready for Argus! New gear with high item level.
With the general increase in item level, the demands on players for Argus content also rise. For everyone who has taken a longer break or wants to quickly catch up with a new class due to the changes, Argus offers two new types of tokens, similar to the “undaunted” and “abandoned” tokens from 7.2.
The “immaculate” tokens produce an item of level 880. Presumably, these tokens can also create warforged or titanforged items and thus correctly raise the level to “880+”. Immortal tokens are obtained, similar to the undaunted at the coast, as loot from enemies in Argus or as a reward for the following weekly quests:
Fragments of the Abyss
Invasion of Space
Out With The Inquisitor
Targets of Opportunity
Thumaturg Vashreen is the vendor for the new “abandoned” tokens. He has packed his things and moved from the Broken Shore to the lower level of the Vindikaar to offer his goods in exchange for Veiled Argunite.
The tokens produce items of level 910. They can also create specific types of artifact relics, so that you no longer receive one of the possible for the specialization randomly.
Veiled Argunite can be obtained in various ways:
75 through the weekly invasion quest: “Invasion Point Offensive”.
300 for completing the new dungeon and the “Quest: Seat of the Triumvirate: The Crest of Knowledge”.
500 for completing the weekly quest to kill the rare enemies of Argus: “Fuel of a Doomed World”.
By defeating rare enemies and opening chests.
Through the “Boon of the Steadfast” shoulder enchant.
As a reward for certain world quests on Argus.
There’s More!
In addition to the new tokens and the new system for artifact knowledge, there are further ways to quickly get involved at the top:
The base item level of loot from dungeons has been increased by 20.
The Dice of Discovery increases the chance to find artifact power by 10% for 2 hours after use. Only effective on characters below level 110.
Benedict says: As a regular player and twink, I find these changes mostly very good. Especially since I cannot play regularly for an extended period, the innovations allow me to still be able to jump back in when I have more time. I can also understand that the artifact knowledge could bother some people. However, considering that, the dice also seems rather pointless…
What do you think? Are the innovations good or bad? Will you perhaps start again and return to your old progression guilds, twink, or try new classes? Or will you rather distance yourself from the ever-faster system?
When can Destiny 2 be played? What time does it start on release day?
Destiny 2 launches on September 6 on PS4 and Xbox One. We have known this for a few months now. But when exactly does it start? This is a question many players are currently asking.
Confusion about the exact server start of Destiny 2
During E3, the project lead Mark Noseworthy revealed that there will be a “rolling midnight launch.” This means that in different time zones around the world, it will start at 00:01 on September 6. This means that Australians can start before us Europeans, and Americans will have to wait longer.
So: In Germany, you can start on Wednesday, September 6, at 00:01.

A tweet from the American PlayStation Twitter account is now causing confusion. It states that you can already start Destiny 2 on September 5 at 9PM Pacific if you preorder through the PlayStation Store. This is three hours before midnight in this time zone on the West Coast. In German time, that would be at 6 AM on September 6.
How is this to be interpreted? This announcement likely does not change the “rolling midnight launch.” Because 9PM on the West Coast corresponds to midnight on the East Coast of the USA. Presumably, the “Destiny 2” launch will occur at the same time across America.
This means: According to all available information, you can play Destiny 2 in Germany on September 6 from 00:01 our time. Update: This date has now been officially confirmed!
This is the official release time. It is not known if there will be ways to play Destiny 2 earlier.
Preload of Destiny 2 on PS4 starts today
By the way: If you have preordered Destiny 2 for PS4, the preload is supposed to start today, on August 31. This gives you nearly a week to download the required game data. In the USA, the preload is already available, reports reddit. Download size 32GB / 38GB.
However, you will need to download a Day-1 patch shortly before the launch:
In Destiny 2, there is now credible information about the first DLC. It will revolve around Osiris and take place on Mercury.
The US reporter Jason Schreier is known for having sources within the Destiny community that regularly supply him with information. Schreier was correct about several details regarding Destiny 1. One could say he has information from “usually well-informed circles.”
First DLC brings Mercury and the Lighthouse back
Even before the release of Destiny 2, his sources are now contacting him again and feeding him information about the first DLC for Destiny 2:
The first DLC is called “The Curse of Osiris” and will revolve around the character Osiris.
The DLC is supposed to come with a new “patrol zone”, which will be on Mercury.
And it will bring a new social space, a place like the Farm or the Tower. The social space is the Lighthouse, which players could only access in Destiny 1 as a reward for a flawless run in the “Trials of Osiris.”
The story will revolve around saving Osiris from the Vex.
Release date for “Curse of Osiris” is December 2017.
According to Schreier, he has had this information confirmed by a second source. Supposedly, Bungie wants to make the DLCs significantly larger this time compared to the rather disappointing DLCs for Destiny 1.
However, Schreier’s sources do not provide any information about the “Trials of Osiris,” the PvP event – something similar is expected for Destiny 2, but not immediately at launch.
Recycled content from the original story
Mein MMO believes: This is all credible and plausible. The symbol for the first DLC shown in the season pass already looked a lot like Osiris. That Schreier has good sources at Bungie has been known for years.
The character “Osiris,” who has not yet appeared, is said to have played an important role in the “original story” of Destiny. Osiris was a sort of mentor for the player, who was in a Vex temple on Mercury.
In Hearthstone there is a new, old terror class. The Druids are running amok and the community is panicking.
Those who have been playing Hearthstone more intensively in recent days and want to climb the ladder since the release of Knights of the Frozen Throne are facing a particular problem. And that is a Night Elf who has spent much time in the Emerald Dream and is calling out for his beloved in a particularly drawn-out manner. The class of Druid, embodied by Malfurion Stormrage.
Druids have been a real plague since Gadgetzan, and every player has likely been defeated more than once by an endlessly growing army of Jade Golems.
However, with Knights of the Frozen Throne, Druids have gained more power than ever before. Many players and streamers report that they only face Druids up to 50% of the time – which is not surprising.
Druids – Always an answer to everything.
Druids now not only have the frustrating mechanic of Jade Golems, which start weak but become a real problem after a short time, but also the ability to completely slow down rushing opponents.
The card Plague Cauldron summons a 1/5 Scarab with Taunt for 5 Mana. And as often as the Druid has exactly as many minions as the opponent. This stifles every advance at the root, and even powerful AoE spells like Flame Strike cannot handle this threat.
The second concern is the Wretched Infestation. For 10 Mana, the card deals 5 damage, creates a 5/5 Ghoul, grants 5 armor, and lets the Druid draw 5 cards. Most players agree: Even if all values of the card were reduced to 4, it would still be too strong.
The problem: All the mentioned cards work wonderfully together. The deck has to forfeit nothing, and all effects synergize perfectly. The deck can outlast long matches, withstand aggro decks, and can even become an aggro deck itself – it is the ultimate all-in-one solution for Hearthstone.

The YouTuber, streamer, and successful Hearthstone player Reynad explains in a short video how he would quickly fix the problem: The card should be banned to the “Hall of Fame”. The new cards are not the problem, but only truly terrible in conjunction with the Inspire mechanic. Blizzard should not “wait another 6 months” with the decision – rather, they should ban the card already next month.
A comprehensive statement from Blizzard is still pending. But if the problem Druids continue to advance like this, it is only a matter of time before the developers intervene. But this time already seems too long for many players.

Bungie has released details about the regions where you can explore in Destiny 2. The game will utilize Blizzard’s Global Play – and thus regional restrictions.
Bungie announces new details regarding the Open Beta of Destiny 2 on PC. It has been revealed how the region system will work in Destiny 2.
Since Destiny 2 will run not through Steam but via Blizzard’s Battle.net client, the Global Play feature of Blizzard will also be utilized.
Region Lock in Destiny 2
This Global Play feature is also applied in other Blizzard games like Overwatch or Hearthstone. Players are given the option to select a region in which they want to play.
Consequently, this also means that you can only play with players from the same region. Fortunately, the regions are quite broadly defined:
America: For players in North America, Latin America, South America, Australia, and New Zealand
Europe: For players in the European Union, Eastern Europe, Russia, Africa, and the Middle East
Asia: For players in South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau
When you start Destiny 2 via the Blizzard desktop application, you will be prompted to select a region. If you do not actively select a region, the default settings of your Blizzard account will be applied.
How to Change Your Region Settings
If you want to change the region in which you play, you can do so easily. Just close Destiny 2 and visit the Destiny 2 homepage in your Blizzard desktop application. Via a dropdown menu located above the “Play” button, you can select your preferred region. In the PC beta of Destiny 2, Europe and America are available options.
Robert says: Friends you are connected with will not appear in the game if they belong to a different region. This “feature” may cause confusion, especially for international clans that span multiple regions, even though this practice is already known from previous Blizzard games.
As the player base diminishes over time, some players may be forced to change their settings depending on their region in order to find enough players for group activities.
What do you think about these regional settings? Let us know in the comments!

A map expansion: The map will open to the west, to the West-Side Pier. There is a museum ship stationed there, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. This ship was discovered shortly after the launch of The Division in spring 2016 due to glitches. Apparently, it will soon be in the game.
A new PvE mode called Resistance – up to 4 agents must survive waves of enemies from all factions.
A new PvP mode called Skirmish – two teams of 4 players each compete against each other. The one with the most kills before time runs out wins.
There is information that the enemies are now cooperating. They have decided that we, the agents, are their common enemy:
Furthermore, there is important information: On August 31st at 5 PM, more details about Update 1.8 will be given. Typically, the State of the Game takes place at this time. We will report on it.

The Half-Giants are an upcoming race in the PvP MMORPG Crowfall, known for their strength and dealt damage, making them the perfect warriors.
Half-Giants will make their way into the MMORPG Crowfall with an upcoming update, although a specific date has not yet been announced. Those who wish to embody a Half-Giant will do so through a Rune Stone during character creation. Races in Crowfall not only offer different appearances but also play differently.
The Half-Giant Makes an Impact
A Half-Giant is extremely strong and resilient, which grants him a bonus to the Strength and Constitution attributes. The passive Bloodline ability is very interesting. If the Half-Giant takes damage below 200 hit points five times in a row during combat, his “Makin’ me Mad” ability fills up. This allows the player to execute the Giant Smash, which deals 10 percent more damage. Additionally, the Giant then grows for 20 seconds. Class-specific resources are also restored.
A Strong Race
Half-Giants further gain access to three active abilities that you may choose from. Dodge allows the Giant to evade. Backhand is a special type of attack that not only deals damage but also temporarily incapacitates the opponent. Blood of the Giant consumes the resource Rage and allows the Giant to become a particularly powerful fighter for a short time – as long as enough Rage is available.
A Half-Giant can choose the classes Champion, Myrmidon, or Cleric, and each player has the option to play as a female or male Giant. The developers of the MMORPG Crowfall want to ensure that each race feels unique to play.

Raids have been in Pokémon GO since July 2017. Since then, players have noticed some bugs that make Raids unfair and raiding frustrating. Niantic has confirmed a few of these bugs.
Catching Raid Bosses works differently than catching regular Pokémon. They are captured using special Premier Balls that can only be obtained during the Raid. The Raid Bosses and legendary Pokémon can only be caught using the Premier Balls!
The number of Premier Balls a trainer receives after a Raid battle depends on various statistics, such as the damage dealt by an individual trainer or the average damage of their team.
Those who receive only a small number of Premier Balls already have it hard to catch the extremely strong Raid Bosses. Hence, the following bugs are a real nuisance for many trainers.
The Last Ball Bug: It is impossible to catch legendary Pokémon with the last Premier Ball. Thus, trainers have one ball less than they should. Niantic has officially confirmed this bug and has given trainers an extra ball for raiding since August 7. However, all trainers who participated in Raids before that were negatively affected.
The Curveball Bug: If a trainer throws a Pokéball with a slight spin, they use the Curveball function. The ball flies in a semicircle towards the Pokémon and increases the catch rate. For unknown reasons, the game does not register every Curveball and the bonus fails to apply.
The Team Control Bonus Bug: If their team controls the Raid arena, trainers should receive two extra balls after the battle. Niantic once stated in its customer service that this bonus is supposed to work differently. Only the trainers who have Pokémon defending in the Raid arena are actually supposed to receive the bonus. Sometimes trainers receive the bonus even if they have no Pokémon in the arena. Sometimes trainers with Pokémon in the arena receive the bonus.
The Dodging Bug: If a Pokémon dodges an attack, it receives 75 percent less damage. However, the bug causes Pokémon to receive full damage, even if they successfully dodged. Especially the legendary Pokémon have attacks that can almost knock out a Pokémon in one hit. This makes it difficult for Pokémon to remain long enough in the Raid battle to earn bonus balls through extra damage.
Trainers need Raid Passes – one is free per day, the rest costs
These problems become particularly annoying when money is involved. Pokémon GO is free and mainly financed through premium sales in the in-game shop.
Those who want to participate in a Raid need a Raid Pass. Trainers can receive one Raid Pass for free once a day in an arena. There are also Premium Raid Passes. These are purchased in the in-game shop for 100 Pokécoins.
The standard and premium Raid Pass allow trainers to participate exactly once in a Raid.
Especially for the legendary Raids, trainers have spent a lot of money on premium passes – now the community is frustrated due to the bugs.
Niantic recently announced that Mewtwo will be catchable in an exclusive Raid will be available. Trainers must be invited to exclusive Raids. The invitation is only received if they have had a “recent” Raid in the arena where Mewtwo appears.
The community reacted with skepticism about whether the exclusive Raids will run smoothly when normal Raids already have problems and bugs.
Has any of these bugs cost you a legendary Pokémon?
We took a look at Patch 7.3 of WoW and give a first conclusion. Is it worth taking another look at the MMORPG?
The latest update for World of Warcraft has been active since this morning (August 30th). We dove deep into Argus late at night to avoid the main rush and get an initial look at the story and gameplay of Patch 7.3 Shadows of Argus.
Argus delivers exactly what older patches, like 7.2, promised and has combined it with the great elements of a Timeless Isle and other “Island Patches” – all garnished with story.
Numerous (sometimes hidden) rare mobs
Regular equipment tokens that can also be sent to twinks
A vendor for strange items (like on the Isle of Giants)
A manageable number of world quests (enough to do but not overwhelming)
There are plenty of new quests. These are, unlike the mind-numbingly boring campaign of the Legion judges, full of cool story twists. For example, there are major revelations about the Naaru. While there are also the typical “Kill 10 of these and collect 5 of those” quests, they at least have an interesting framework and are almost always rewarded with a few spoken lines of dialogue, where you see the various characters in action.
Especially cool is the Soulstone, which is sometimes left behind by rare enemies. This increases reputation with all Legion factions by 1000 points. This not only helps to quickly gain reputation with the Army of the Light but also brings us 10% closer to each Paragon reward!
More SciFi than classic Fantasy
I’m still looking for things that disturb me, but that’s nitpicking at a high level. It’s quite possible that the whole “Draenei technology” might not appeal to some players, as the storyline sometimes leans more into the SciFi realm than into a classic fantasy MMORPG. I definitely did not let that deter me, and my first impression is clear: Shadows of Argus contains everything that a good WoW patch should have.
Oh, a small point of criticism comes to mind. The bearded egghead Khadgar firmly claims that he “never would have dreamed of being on a foreign world.” It seemed that the early mage dementia had kicked in, making him forget that he had already been to Draenor.
Argus feels so far more like a “mini-addon” and not just like a small patch area. And not all content has been unlocked yet – because that occurs weekly.
Sure, it is too early to judge whether the patch will keep players engaged for weeks. But the first impression is that Blizzard has learned.
In an interview at Gamescom regarding Destiny 2, there are details about the core element, the Strikes.
In the interview with Gamesradar, Justin Truman talks about the role of Strikes in Destiny 2:
the Strikes are meant to tell a self-contained story
this story revolves around an interesting character, usually the villain of the Strike
around this story, Bungie builds the best possible combat experience that can be replayed repeatedly
Truman says Bungie now has a clear division of the individual PvE activities. In the campaign, the focus is on spectacle and story. In the Strikes, the focus is on finding the best combat scenarios and chaining them together.
The Strikes are designed so that players want to repeat them 20, 30, or 40 times over the years.
Destiny 2 – This time we know what we are doing
Mein MMO says: People always ask what the “main difference” is between Destiny 1 and Destiny 2. Statements like this one regarding the Strikes indicate that the main difference is: “Bungie now knows exactly what works and what doesn’t.”
