The sandbox MMORPG Albion Online receives its first major content expansion since launch with the “Joseph” update. In a new trailer, you can see how the new PvP arena and the expedition “Three Sisters” look.
Anyone who has known the sandbox MMO Albion Online since the beta knows that names like “Galahad”, “Hector” or “Faye” hide the various updates to the game.
Thus, “Joseph” is not a new NPC carpenter, but the first update since the launch of the sandbox MMO in July 2017.
The Joseph update brings PvP arena and expeditions
In the trailer for the “Joseph” update, you first see the big patch highlight: the new PvP arena. Here, both teams start in their own camps and must capture three rune stones and hold them until a timer runs out. The opponents have the same goal, so the stones will be fiercely contested.
To participate in arena battles, you need to talk to the arena mistress Joan or click on the arena icon. As an ultimate reward, you can earn a special saber-toothed cat mount through the PvP arena.
Additional content of the Joseph update that you can see in the trailer includes:
The expedition “Three Sisters”, in which you must restore the honor of a royal guard and face the three sisters – nasty followers of Morgana.
The expedition “The Eternal Fight”, where you battle hordes of undead in a cursed city.
The new treasure sites, which replace the previous relics, regularly emerge, and are guarded by ghosts.
5 new spells in action as well as improved animations for existing skills.
The “Joseph” update will be released on September 27. We have embedded the trailer for you here. Enjoy watching!

Enough with the fun in Overwatch. Anyone who misbehaves now will be permanently banned.
For many months now, Blizzard has promised that they are working hard on harsher penalties for trolls and “Throwers” in Overwatch. With the latest patch 1.15 (PC) or 2.19 (PS4, Xbox One), the developers have finally put their promise into action and started to overhaul the reporting system – or to implement it on consoles for the first time.
In the official forum, Blizzard has now “threatened” and clearly explained how the bans will take place.
Starting from September 27 (next Wednesday), stricter rules will apply in Overwatch, which will initially only affect the ranked game mode.
Anyone banned from 3 ranked seasons will receive a permanent ban from “Competitive Play”.
The 3 bans do not have to occur in consecutive seasons. For example, if someone was banned in seasons 2, 4, and 7, they will also receive a perma-ban.
It is also pointed out that bans do not “expire” over time – anyone who misbehaved early in their Overwatch career can still be affected by it later.
Furthermore, Blizzard explains once again what can lead to a ban in Overwatch – in the ranked mode.
Anyone who leaves a game early or is kicked for inactivity will receive a penalty. If such an offense occurs repeatedly in quick succession (for example, in several consecutive games), there will be temporary penalties that keep increasing and ultimately lead to exclusion from the entire season. This also includes the seasonal rewards that one may have already earned.
Do you think it’s good that Blizzard is now showing “tough love”? Or is that still not enough and shouldn’t it take 3 seasons for a player to be permanently banned?
On Thursday, we will have Paladins streaming live. The hero shooter has a new champion, and our author Leya will introduce you to him live. The new champ is called Talus and is a flanker with a rather unique skill set.
On Mein-MMO.de, we will host a live stream today, on September 21, and I, Leya, want to introduce you to Talus, the new champion from the hero shooter Paladins.
Talus is a demon boy and belongs to the Ska’drin race. They have been nearly exterminated in the world of Paladins and are now despised by the other races. Talus’ skill mix is quite unique, and I wouldn’t know that I have seen his abilities in this form anywhere else. His abilities are an exciting mix of revelation, teleportation, and a knockback strike.
In the stream, I will showcase Talus and his abilities in training mode and play him in a few casual rounds. Talus has just joined Paladins with the OB59 patch. This might mean that sometimes Talus will be taken right out from under my nose by other players.
Date and time of the stream:
When? The stream runs on Thursday, September 21.
What time? The stream runs from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the evening.
TERA M is the mobile version of the PC MMORPG TERA. Thanks to Unreal Engine 4 and similar gameplay, TERA M looks almost like the original and feels quite similar.
TERA M aims to deliver the gameplay and graphics of the PC MMORPG TERA on smartphones or tablets. In the first gameplay videos from the publisher Netmarble, you can now see how similar TERA and TERA M are.
You can see how the gameplay of TERA M looks in the wild here:

Will TERA M be the first authentic PC MMO on smartphones?
The gameplay videos of TERA M are quite similar to the original TERA on PC. The typical graphic style with colorful locations and sexy characters is clearly recognizable as TERA. In addition, there is a 360-degree camera and the typical TERA action gameplay with un-targeted attacks hitting what is in front of your blade. Sure, the mobile version is not identical to the original, but the similarity is strong,

The biggest difference from PC-TERA can be found in the classes. TERA M strictly adheres to the “Holy Trinity” of Tank, DPS, and Healer. However, to avoid long waits for Tanks or Healers, you can switch classes at any time in TERA M, thus completing the raid team. You won’t need twinks in TERA M. Additionally, in contrast to the original, TERA M currently has only 6 classes.
In the following video, you can see the emotes of TERA M in action.

The fate of Azeroth is literally hanging by a thread. How it will continue in WoW has now been discovered by dataminers.
At World of Warcraft, a new patch is currently being tested on the PTR. It mainly contains new game data for the raid Antorus, the Burning Throne. According to the developers, the patch will not bring any new content, but rather just bug fixes and final game files for the raid instance.
Of course, dataminers do not believe such things – and they are right to do so!
Spoiler Warning: If you do not want to know how things continue for Azeroth after the next raid, you should urgently close the article now. As the dataminers from wowhead and mmo-champion have discovered, there are some new files in the game that do not directly relate to Antorus. There is also a new map called “SilithusPhase01”. This is a drastically revised Silithus. A huge wound gapes in the ground and golden-black blood, which soaks the sand, flows from the crack – Azeroth is slowly bleeding out.
The continent Kalimdor is currently completely locked on the PTR – apparently Blizzard is trying to hide something there.
Illidan’s Sacrifice and Azeroth’s Wound
As we already know, Illidan will “contain” the Titan Sargeras. But before that can happen, the dark titan launches one last attack on Azeroth and (presumably) hurls his sword at the world. This strikes in Silithus and tears a huge hole in the planet. A last, desperate attempt to destroy the world soul of Azeroth.
The scar in Silithus, as the dataminers have extracted it.
Since the map is titled “Phase01”, one can assume that there will be a multipart event leading to the next expansion of World of Warcraft.
This once again seems to confirm that we will get our first look at the next expansion at BlizzCon in November – and it might not be as far away as everyone thinks now.
The PvP mode “Ghost War” can now be tested in an open beta phase. Participation is possible for owners of Ghost Recon Wildlands and for new players.
Fancy some PvP shooting in “Ghost Recon Wildlands” style? You can easily take part in the next few days, as the open test phase for the 4v4 mode “Ghost War” has just gone live.
The beta is available as a “standalone” version. New players and owners of Ghost Recon Wildlands can participate.
Ghost War – Beta Start and End
Today, on September 21st, the open beta of Ghost War started on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. In the next few days, you have plenty of time to try out the beta, as the testing phase is active until September 25th.
In Ghost War, you play with two teams, each consisting of four players, against each other. You play in a best-of-3 mode. This means the team that wins twice first wins the match.
The matches are deathmatches without respawn. If you die, you must hope that a teammate revives you.

The MIDA Multi-Tool is the dominant weapon in PvP of Destiny 2. Now, there are concrete numbers and statistics available.
Every Guardian who has played a few matches in the Crucible of Destiny 2 will have encountered it: The MIDA. This refers to the Exotic “MIDA Multi-Tool,” which was already an excellent weapon in Destiny 1 and is now among our Top 5 best Exotic weapons in Destiny 2.
The reasons for its current dominance are quickly found:
The MIDA is a strong Scout Rifle that feels great in hand. Since sniper ammunition is rare in Destiny 2, Scout Rifles are excelling at longer ranges. With the MIDA, you can take out enemies from a distance before they can even aim at you.
While aiming with the MIDA, the radar remains active. You always have an eye on whether an enemy is approaching.
The MIDA Multi-Tool increases movement speed, allowing you to move swiftly across the maps.
If you also equip the MIDA Mini-Tool, a legendary submachine gun, there is an additional synergy effect: The speed bonus is further enhanced. Furthermore, the submachine gun is powerful at short ranges, so with the MIDA combo, you’ll cover all distances in PvP.
The constantly active radar and high movement speed provide significant advantages, especially in intense PvP matches like in the Trials of the Nine. Since players in Trials usually act more cautiously than aggressively, the MIDA is perfect for keeping an eye on the crucial locations on the map from a safe distance.
All of this leads to many Guardians relying on the MIDA in PvP. How significant this dominance actually is is shown by current statistics.
36% of all kills in Trials are attributed to the MIDA
Through the Destiny tracker and the Trials report, interesting figures about MIDA dominance come to light. The exotic Scout Rifle leaves its mark especially in the Trials of the Nine:
In 98% of all previous Trials matches, at least one player used the MIDA Multi-Tool.
35.9% of all kills in Trials were achieved with the MIDA Multi-Tool.
15.3% of all kills in overall PvP were achieved with the MIDA Multi-Tool.
The logo of the Trials of the Nine
For comparison:
The weapon with the second most kills in Trials is the Auto Rifle Prosecutor with 13.4% (MIDA Multi-Tool has 35.9%).
and the second best weapon in overall PvP is the MIDA Mini-Tool with 5.1% of all kills (MIDA Multi-Tool has 15.3%).
These statistics also show that many Guardians are running around with the combination of Multi-Tool and Mini-Tool.
In the following positions are Auto Rifles like Prosecutor, Uriel’s Gift, and Origin Story.
The legendary Auto Rifle Uriel’s Gift
The US site Kotaku exaggerates this hype around the MIDA: They recently published an article featuring the five best weapons in Destiny 2. The MIDA Multi-Tool occupied all the positions. The current statistics show: They are not wrong …
Are you also using the MIDA or do you say: No, I will specifically choose another weapon!
The Korean action MMORPG Lost Ark still has no release date for the EU, but videos from the current closed beta 2 from Korea make the game even more enticing. In one video, you can see the many cool options in the character editor.
Lost Ark is a highly anticipated glossy action MMORPG from South Korea. It is still unclear when and if it will ever be released in the West (Europe and North America). However, the more information about the game from the 2nd closed beta in Korea comes to light, the more one wishes for a release here. Because Lost Ark looks simply fantastic in the character editor and offers a ton of cool options that one would not expect from an action RPG MMORPG like Diablo 3.
Elf with pointed ears or sheep’s ears? Or better Gunslinger hipster?
First of all: In Lost Ark, you have – as in many Asian games – a strict gender and race lock. This means that each class is clearly assigned to a race and a gender. Nevertheless, you have a lot of options to truly make your hero unique.
Here are a few examples:
One class is a type of elf with long, pointed ears. However, you can replace the ears with differently angled listeners. There are even completely new shapes, sheep’s ears, furry bear ears, fish fin ears, and even ears shaped like butterflies.
There are over a dozen different face shapes.
The variety of hairstyles is large and offers a lot of cool styles. There are neat side parts, piled hairdos, hipster undercuts, and much more.
Additional accessories like beards, glasses, and scars are also possible.
In the character editor, you can already preview your hero’s clothes and see how your style affects the worn attire. The clothes of your heroes are also detailed and elaborately designed.
Each hero has different styles. For example, the Gunslinger Devil Hunter can look totally dark and nasty. However, he can also go monster hunting as a sort of shooting hipster with glasses and trendy hairstyle.
The splendor of Lost Ark’s character editor in video
You can view the various styles from Lost Ark’s character editor in the embedded video here. Enjoy!

The Playstation 4 finally received the ability to connect external hard drives of 2.5 or 3.5 inches with update 4.5. This way, you can offload games and data at will and no longer need to constantly free up space on the internal drive. But which hard drives are the best and which can you buy with a clear conscience?
On March 9, 2017, the long-awaited Firmware update 4.5 for Sony’s Playstation 4 console was released. Not only was there a Booster Mode for the PS4 Pro included, but you could finally connect external hard drives to your console. This allows you to plug large external hard drives into the USB port of your Playstation 4 and you are finally freed from the bottleneck of the way too small standard PS4 hard drive.
Playstation 4 Update 4.5 – Which hard drives can I connect externally?
With the Firmware update 4.5, entirely new possibilities open up for the PS4. While you were previously limited to a maximum of 1 terabyte (unless you had swapped in larger drives yourself), you can now connect external drives with up to 8(!) terabytes with the new firmware. More than enough storage space for your favorite games.
To ensure that the read and write speeds are also right, the new software of the Playstation 4 also supports the fast USB 3 standard – if you want that, make sure when buying a hard drive that it also uses USB 3!
External hard drives for PS4 – 2.5 or 3.5 inches?
If you are dealing with the topic of external hard drives, you often hear about 2.5 and 3.5-inch drives. Don’t worry, you can connect them all via USB, the size only affects the actual dimensions, volume, weight, and power supply.
2.5-inch drives are lightweight and compact. You can easily plug them in and take them with you. In addition, they do not require a separate power connection and are energy-efficient. However, they are smaller in volume than the larger 3.5-inch models.
3.5-inch drives are heavier and bulkier than their smaller relatives and almost always need their own power source. However, they are significantly larger than the 2.5-inch versions and have a better price-performance ratio.
If you don’t want to carry your data around much or at all, a 3.5-inch drive is probably the better choice for you.
Playstation 4 – External hard drives – HDD or SSD?
Most external hard drives are still HDDs, or “Hard Disk Drives”. These are standard hard drives, in which a mechanical read head reads the data from a magnetized disk. Such hard drives are inexpensive, but they produce a noticeable hum during use and are prone to impacts and shocks due to their mechanics.
Completely different are the SSDs: These “Solid State Drives” have, as the name suggests, no moving parts. The data is read directly from the memory without a mechanical read head. As a result, SSDs are lightning fast, consume little power, and are shock resistant. The downside: they are usually quite small in volume and expensive!
Amazon Bestsellers: The most popular external hard drives for the PS4 – Which should I buy?
The following external hard drives are a good choice if you want to properly expand your PS4. If you click on the individual products, you will also be able to select larger TB variants on Amazon. Have fun browsing!

A screenshot from the older MMORPG Cabal Online sends shivers down the spines of gaming fans: everything is filled with bots.
This screenshot circulated on reddit about “Cabal Online,” from an MMORPG that many played about 10 or 12 years ago.
The screenshot shows a single player surrounded by an army of uniform bots. In the chat, one can read the familiar bot goldselling spam known from many MMORPGs: “Cheap and Fast.”
The screenshot was posted under the title “When someone asks me about the state of Cabal Online.“
Other players say this is not an exception. They have played themselves and Cabal Online is now overrun by bots. They wonder: How can it be profitable for a game like Cabal Online that there are so many bots? What are they farming and who in God’s name is supposed to buy that?
However, other players reassure that it is not as bad as portrayed here. This flood of bots only exists in the low-level area.
In general, there is agreement that it is a shame when MMORPGs that used to be enjoyed are so haunted by bots.
Bots and Gold Sellers Can Drain the Lifeblood of MMORPGs
Mein MMO thinks: Bots are a plague in MMORPGs. Especially in older or smaller games where the publisher does not look after combating them as actively, bots can become a real problem that sucks the lifeblood out of gameplay.
Games where bots are predominant feel deserted and bleak. Especially when one feels they are the only person in a sea of bots, they are particularly damaging to the MMORPG experience.
But even in popular MMORPGs like WoW or Final Fantasy XIV, the problem of bots and gold spam exists.
As long as bots and gold spam are profitable, there will always be people who find ways and means to benefit from it – especially when the publisher does not take a firm stand against it.
What do you think? Have you learned to ignore bots? Does it creep you out when you see a screenshot like the one above?
We spoke with a German gold seller about the “job”:
In Destiny 2 we present 5 recommended weapons that you should have in your inventory. They are some of the best exotic weapons.
At the launch of Destiny 2, there are 19 exotic weapons. Most have already been extensively tested by the community, initial opinions have been voiced, and detailed reviews can already be found online.
Many Guardians are asking themselves: Which exotic weapons are the best? Which weapon should I sacrifice my Exotic slot for?
In Destiny 2, you can only equip one exotic weapon at a time. You have to decide whether you want the exotic item in the kinetic slot, the energy slot, or the power slot.
A Guardian cannot carry more than one exotic weapon
If you want to change your Exotic, you first need to swap the Exotic out of the energy slot to choose an Exotic in the kinetic slot. This takes time. In the midst of a fight, it’s not recommended.
In other words, the choice of the Exotic for the upcoming challenge should be well considered.
However, there is a problem with choosing Exotics: “There is no best exotic weapon!” Every Exotic has individual perks that can shine in different situations. Different weapons are recommended in PvP than when facing a hefty boss in PvE.
We now present 5 exotic weapons that excel in different situations. If you have these in your inventory, you are prepared for any danger.
Himmelsbrennereid – A Scout Rifle Against the Red Legion
Let’s start with an Exotic that has proven itself in PvE: The Himmelsbrennereid. It is a scout rifle with solar damage, which is carried in the energy slot. The rate of fire is 200, and the magazine size is 18 shots.
These are the special characteristics:
Bullet Rifle: The weapon fires solar bullets that become stronger when the scope is used. However, the weapon then fires somewhat slower.
For the Empire: The weapon fires automatically (you can hold down the fire button and don’t need to press for each shot), deals extra damage to Cabal, and penetrates Phalanx shields.
The “For the Empire” perk makes the Himmelsbrennereid a top weapon when it comes to PvE against Cabal. And since in Destiny 2, the Red Legion of Cabal is almost everywhere present, this weapon is definitely worth it. For example, in the Leviathan raid …
In practice, the property of being able to shoot through Phalanx shields proves useful. This way, the annoying shielded enemies go down faster than usual.
In short: In PvE, the Himmelsbrennereid should be your constant companion. The weapon has a high range. Defeat enemies from a distance before they can harm you.
You can obtain the Himmelsbrennereid randomly from all sources that can drop exotic engrams. Xur can also bring the weapon.
Now there are new nests! A nest migration in Pokémon GO changes the Pokémon species that appear in nests in your area and in parks.
Nests in Pokémon GO are locations where Pokémon of the same species frequently appear. You have probably noticed that you can find the same Pokémon in one place for several days. During a nest migration, the locations remain the same, but the monsters that appear there change.
Every few weeks, such a change occurs, bringing fresh air to the Pokémon wilderness.
Pokémon GO Nests
You can often find nests at PokéStops, Gyms, or in parks. They often offer a high number of the same Pokémon species. The monsters will stay at this location for about two weeks until they change their location due to a nest migration.
Niantic announces this via push notification for Pokémon GO, stating that new monsters are residing in the parks around you. It is worth heading out and checking. Perhaps there is an interesting nest in your area.
However, particularly rare monsters, such as those from 10km eggs, cannot be found in nests. Baby Pokémon or legendary Pokémon cannot appear there either.
Today, on September 21st, the 30th nest migration in Pokémon GO took place. The Pokémon collections at known spots have changed and should now show you new Pokémon. If you still miss certain Pokémon (candies), the nest migration might bring you luck, and you can find them frequently now.
The nest migration is also important for medal collectors: With the new Pokémon, there may also be new “types” in your area. This gives trainers a chance to improve their progress in medals like “Bug Collector”, “Bird Catcher”, or “Psychic”.
Share with us in the comments which species are now appearing at your nests and which ones they replace. If you want, you can enter your nests in the atlas of TheSilphRoad and share your finds with other trainers. Here’s the nest atlas on Thesilphroad.com
Solstice Event is on its way
You can take advantage of the nest migration in the coming days and earn a lot of Stardust in the new nests. The reason for this is the Solstice Event in Pokémon GO, which rewards you with double the amount of Stardust when catching monsters or hatching eggs.
Ironsight is a futuristic online shooter for PC in the style of Call of Duty. Originally, this free-to-play game comes from Korea, but in 2018 it is scheduled to be released in the EU under the German publisher Gamigo.
Ironsight comes from South Korea and is a free-to-play online shooter. The battles take place in the style of Call of Duty and revolve around fast-paced skirmishes between players. The setting of Ironsight is in the year 2025. There is a global conflict due to the Earth’s resources becoming scarce, and the West is engaging in combat against the Middle East.
Futuristic Warfare with Mechs and Drones
The scarce global resources in Ironsight have apparently still provided for all sorts of modern war equipment. Therefore, you can deploy remote-controlled drones to scout enemies or attack with napalm or EMP. Things get even more intense with mechs, which you can also call in and use against your enemies.
Ironsight offers these features:
14 maps with destructible objects and weather effects
Over 100 weapons
Unlockable skins for weapons and characters
Custom-developed Iron Engine
Ironsight is coming to Europe and North America in 2018 – Beta Access!
So far, Ironsight has only been running in South Korea. Starting in spring 2018, it will be released in Europe and North America. The publisher Gamigo from Hamburg will handle distribution in Germany.

Additionally, a closed beta is starting in November 2017.
A look back at the past of World of Warcraft raises slight doubts. Was everything really that rosy back then?
World of Warcraft has now lasted many years. Time and again, some players long for the “old times”. In their eyes, the game has been increasingly “casualized” over the last few years. Players are given everything on a silver platter.
Those who wanted to raid properly in the “good old days” had to perform at full capacity and be highly concentrated. If you couldn’t deliver maximum performance, you had no place in a Molten Core.
But is that really true? Those who think so may feel hurt by their nostalgic feelings and should quickly close their eyes.

For the video of the “World First Kill” of Ragnaros, the final boss of the Molten Core, by the guild Ascent in 2005 shows a different picture. According to this, the fight looked much less spectacular than it is described by veterans – most characters stand still and use only a few skills.
Back then, WoW was played in a completely different way – besides the now-ridiculed “Keyboard Turning” to turn the character, chatting on the side was also not a problem – you were waiting 70% of the time anyway for a cooldown and let the auto-attacks run otherwise.
Cortyn says: I must honestly admit that the video shocked me a little because the fight was somewhat idealized in my memory. But of course, if back then even a Fire Mage could survive against Ragnaros by just casting Frostbolts, that actually answers many questions.
What is not idealized, however, is the sense of community that we had during raids back then, and that has been lost over time. Perhaps because World of Warcraft has changed. Or perhaps because we now play several games in parallel and no longer allow such bonds as we did back then…
How do you remember Classic and the first raids? Do you still see the fight against Ragnaros as much more action-packed than it actually was?
The island of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) would be excellent for a single-player campaign. The developers would love it, but they currently lack the time for it.
On Reddit, Brendan “Player Unknown” Greene answered questions from the community. In an “Ask me anything,” he addressed the comments of many users who wanted to know more about graphics, performance, future plans, and a single-player feature.
He would love to integrate a single-player campaign into the game if it weren’t for the issue of time…
We present the most important answers from Greene here in this article.
In the Ask-Me-Anything thread on Reddit, the topics varied widely. Players asked PlayerUnknown if he had ever had a Chicken Dinner (Yes!) or if he would rather
a) fight against six horses the size of a frying pan or
b) fight against a frying pan the size of a horse.
Greene chose the six horses because the thought of a giant frying pan scares him too much.
However, the Q&A session also touched on serious topics:
THIS CRASH! Many inquired about the development of the “sound.” The volume levels of various weapons and actions are often too loud and not balanced with other sounds, which are significantly quieter. The wind during parachuting and especially the airplanes annoy players.
Greene replied that his team is already working on balancing the different sounds and hopes to bring these changes to the live servers soon™. “We can’t just make certain sounds quieter. We need to ensure everything is balanced.” With a readable grin, he adds, “We have heard your feedback loud and clear. Changes are on the way!”
Singleplayer in PUBG? Reddit user Ang0d asks Greene: What things would you personally like to see in the game?
“I would love to add a single-player campaign to the game. I think the island could be a great setting for an interesting story. But unfortunately, we currently have neither the time nor the resources left for this,” writes Greene.
Why was the Crouch-Jump keybind removed? Players wonder why the developers removed the keybind for Crouch-Jumps before the introduction of Vaulting. With Crouch-Jumps, players can jump out of windows or overcome obstacles that they cannot cross with a “normal” jump.
Greene explains that the team did not remove the action itself. Players can still Crouch-Jump. However, now it requires skill and not a key on the keyboard that was previously assigned to two actions simultaneously.
According to the developers, players with such a keybinding had an advantage over those who were unaware of the possibility.
And what about performance? A large part of the questions targeted the optimization of PUBG. “It takes too much power,” “My computer is good, but struggles with PUBG,” are the key statements from many questions.
In summary: The Bluehole team is still working on optimizing the game.
What about blue zones? And is there going to be a ranking system like in CS:GO soon?
In a response regarding the blue zones, Greene states that he has already met with the team. The blue zones are to become fairer and they hope to be able to test the changes soon. However, he cannot specify an approximate date.
Familiar ranking systems from CS:GO or Overwatch rank players into specific skill categories based on their MMR. For ranked matches, the PUBG developers also plan such a system.
Additionally, they would like to implement a level system for characters and weapon skill systems (which do not affect gameplay). These progression systems are viewed positively. So far, however, the plans have not been fully developed to announce further information about them.

The Warlock is responsible for Space Magic in Destiny 2 and is also a great support class. Find out in our class guide in English how you can dominate in PvE and PvP with the subclasses and focuses Dawnblade, Voidwalker, and Stormcaller.
You have reached level 20 with your Warlock, unlocked all focuses (subclasses) and are not quite sure how to perform well in the raid or the Trials of the Nine? We present all the Warlock’s abilities and how to get the most out of the Space Mage with which build and which super you choose.
[toc]
The Warlock’s Class Ability – The Rift
The Warlock’s special class ability is the Rift. This creates an area of effect that grants you and your allies bonuses. What those are depends on which Rift you choose:
Healing Rift – Creates a Rift that permanently heals you and allies in the area of effect
Empowering Rift – Creates a Rift that increases weapon damage for you and nearby allies
With the Rift, the Warlock has gained a powerful class ability that will assist you in nearly any situation. Want to quickly take down a boss? Use the Empowering Rift. Are you standing on ground that harms you? Create a Healing Rift!
Anyone raiding with two Warlocks is perfectly set up. Both Warlocks simultaneously create their Rift (one Empowering and one Healing) – and the whole group benefits doubly.
No matter which focus you are using, you always have access to the Rift. It’s even possible to enhance the Rift further, but we’ll get to that point!
The Warlock’s Jump – The Glide
The Warlock’s jump in Destiny 2 is… special. It is less of a jump and more of a glide, allowing the Warlock to cover large distances. The following jumps are available to the Warlock:
Directional Glide – activates this jump in the air to gain precise maneuverability while airborne
Boost Glide – activates this jump in the air for a speed boost
Balance Glide – represents a combination of moderate speed and directional control
Short Teleport – activates this jump in the air to execute a short teleport (this jump is only unlocked for the Voidwalker and replaces Balance Glide)
If you want to go high, tap the jump button twice in quick succession. If you want to move straight in the air, press the jump button once, and again at the apex of your jump. The Boost Glide will get you out of desperate situations. With Directional Glide, you can navigate better. The Voidwalker has exclusive access to the teleport jump. Choose the jump you feel most comfortable with!
The Warlock’s Focuses at a Glance
The following Warlock focuses will be discussed in detail in the guide:
The Dawnblade – A new focus in Destiny 2. The Dawnblade favors vertical gameplay, meaning from the air. During your super “Dawn” you can rain flaming swords down upon your enemies. The Dawnblade is associated with the Solar element.
The Voidwalker – a destructive focus with great grenades that you can either overcharge or convert into health. The Voidwalker has fantastic self-healing potential and is perfect for solo players. The element is – as the name suggests – Void.
The Stormcaller – The Chancellor Palpatine of the Destiny universe – without the wrinkles. The Stormcaller is likely the best class for eliminating large groups of enemies. The mobile super “Stormtrance” lets you shoot lightning at enemies. The element is Arc.
The skills of each subclass are not fully unlocked upon acquisition. You earn upgrade points with each level-up until level 20. Even after level 20, you can still earn upgrade points; a corresponding bar fills up as you gain experience. A Glimmer Engram is rewarded as well. Some missions also grant you skill upgrade points.
The Dawnblade is an offensive focus that plays particularly well in the air. With its super Dawn you may throw swords at your enemies and watch them burn away.
The Grenades of the Dawnblade
The grenades of the Dawnblade should be familiar to connoisseurs of the Sunsinger focus from Destiny 1:
Solar Grenade – Flickering Solar Light from this grenade deals damage over time in a certain radius
Firebolt Grenade – Fires Solar light bolts at enemies near you
Fusion Grenade – This explosive grenade (sticky) deals bonus damage if it sticks to an enemy
For combat in PvE, Solar Grenades work excellently. Just throw them at a spot where enemies spawn, and you can calmly focus on another location.
Solar Grenades also work well for defensive purposes. Throw a Solar Grenade down in front of you (preferably without hitting yourself) and step right in the middle. Enemies cannot reach you, and you can catch your breath for a moment.
In PvP, Solar Grenades are also effective for zone control. But the Firebolt Grenade is also useful when multiple enemies are tightly grouped.
Use the Fusion Grenade to finish off fleeing enemies!
With the focuses, you must choose between two skills trees.
The skill tree Celestial Harmony offers everything for aerial combat enthusiasts. Because the skill tree allows you to hover in the air to shoot at enemies. Successful kills from the air also grant grenade and melee energy. And should you need to return to the ground, you can improve your movement and reload speed with a melee attack. As a special addition, you can also dodge in the air.
Winged Sun – Hover in the air, and shoot at your enemies with weapons and grenades
Heat Wave – Killing enemies from the air automatically recharges your grenades and melee energy
Quick Strike – Burn your opponents with this attack while simultaneously improving your movement and reload speed
Icarus Dash – Activate the skill in the jump to dodge
Celestial Harmony is strongly focused on aerial combat. This can be quite helpful in an open area. In tight corridors, you should switch to the other skill tree. Also, your Rift isn’t as effective while you’re airborne. The dodging maneuvers in the air, however, are a real bonus!
Flame Harmony – Phoenix Dive and More
Flame Harmony is the second skill tree. Since the flying swords of your super do not fly straight, but are subject to gravity, a homing function is useful. If you kill enemies with Dawn, the duration is extended. Nice! The dive is also handy when your health is critical.
Fire Strike – Engulfs an enemy in flames with this melee attack and makes him explode.
Flame Judgment – Your Dawn projectiles fly homing across the battlefield and cause the opponent to burst into deadly flames.
Endless Fire – If you eliminate an enemy with your super, its duration is extended.
Phoenix Dive – Activates this ability while in flight to quickly get to the ground and restore your health. If Dawn is active, the dive causes additional explosive damage.
With Flame Harmony, the focus is placed on the super. Homing swords and an extended super when killing enemies are great abilities. The health regeneration is also a good option for getting out of tight situations.
In general, the Dawnblade is an offensively oriented super. However, with your Rift, you have a useful support ability at your disposal.
The Voidwalker – Feast on Yourself
The Voidwalker is the epitome of Space Magic. Its super attack, the Nova Bomb, is a gigantic sphere of pure destruction that pulverizes your enemies. With Destiny 2, the Voidwalker has become even better! Why, you’ll find out now!
The Grenades of the Voidwalker
The grenades of the Voidwalker offer the familiar mix from Destiny 1:
Vortex Grenade – The created effect zone continuously drains health from your enemies while they are caught in the Vortex.
Scatter Grenade – Explosive scatter ammunition that spreads after impact, damaging multiple enemies simultaneously.
Axion Bolt – Smaller, homing light bolts chase across the battlefield.
The Vortex Grenade is great for covering small areas. The Axion Bolt is recommended against agile opponents and in PvP due to its homing feature. The Scatter Grenade is particularly helpful if you have chosen the skill tree Chaos Reach, as killed enemies explode and can trigger a chain reaction.
Chaos Reach – Grenades and Explosions
With the Chaos Accelerant, you increase the explosive power of your grenades at the cost of super energy. The melee attack recharges these grenades. And when you kill enemies with grenades, they explode. A lethal mix for the opponent.
Chaos Accelerant – Overloads your grenade with super energy and increases the explosive power and effectiveness.
Entropy Surge – Attacks with this melee recharge your grenades
Catastrophe – The Nova Bomb becomes a slow, homing projectile that splits into homing projectiles upon impact
Devour – Void kills cause enemies to explode
This skill tree does not have any support abilities (aside from the Rift) or other skills that assist survival. However, you can at least let off some steam in PvE with the grenades.
This build is not suitable for the Crucible; human opponents are too agile. Particularly, the slow Nova Bomb often misses its target.
Hunger Reach – Endless Life
The Hunger Reach primarily revolves around staying alive. You can convert grenade energy into health (by holding down the grenade button) and gain a buff that regenerates your health on kills while also recharging your grenades. The Nova Bomb additionally provides area control through a Vortex effect.
Feed the Void – Converts grenade energy into health, unlocking the Devour effect.
Insatiable – While the Devour effect is active, its duration is extended by eliminating enemies, while simultaneously recharging your grenades.
Vortex – A singularity activated by Nova Bomb deals damage to enemies trapped within.
Devour – Recharge your health with this melee style by eliminating opponents. Even after using the skill, your health continues to regenerate through subsequent kills.
The Voidwalker with Hunger Reach is one of the best builds in the game. If you do it right, you can keep the Devour effect active permanently, making you nearly impossible to kill. You just need to convert some grenade energy into health and then kill enemies to maintain the Devour effect. This build is absolutely fantastic, especially for solo players and the toughest content!
The Stormcaller – Plays the Chancellor on Steroids
The Stormcaller has always been responsible for adds. With its super Stormtrance, it takes out large groups of enemies single-handedly. In Destiny 2, the Stormcaller has become even more valuable.
The Grenades of the Stormcaller
The Stormcaller can choose from the following grenades:
Impulse Grenade – Enemies within the explosion radius take regular damage from this grenade
Storm Grenade – Summons a local thunderstorm that rains down on your enemies
Arcbolt Grenade – A chain of lightning connects your enemies and damages them
The Impulse Grenade is excellent for blocking doors or other enemy spawn points. The Arcbolt Grenade is especially effective in the Crucible when several enemies are tightly grouped and you can land team shots (more than one Guardian shooting at a single enemy simultaneously).
Transcendence of Chain Lightning – Chain Lightning and … more Chain Lightning
The skill tree Transcendence of Chain Lightning is designed to send as many enemies to their doom as possible. This is achieved with bouncing chain lightning across multiple enemies and increased super duration when grenades and melee abilities are fully charged.
Chain Lightning – Unleash a lightning strike that jumps from one enemy to another
Arc Web – Enemies hit by grenades discharge lightning that jumps to further nearby foes
Ion Blink – Press sprint during Stormtrance to teleport
Transcendence – When grenades and melee abilities are fully charged, the duration of Stormtrance is extended and your health is fully regenerated
One of the most offensive builds for the Warlock, which excels against larger groups of enemies. To avoid being hit yourself, you can teleport across the battlefield. Transcendence increases your super duration for even more destruction.
Elemental Harmony – The Ultimate Rift Upgrade
The Elemental Harmony gives your Rift a significant boost. Your Rift recharges faster when allies are nearby. The highlight is the Arc Soul, which grants an Arc spirit that hovers over your shoulders and damages enemies. Here are the skills summarized:
Landfall – In combination with Stormtrance, you unleash a shockwave that damages nearby foes
Electrostatic Surge – Your Rift recharges faster when allies are nearby
Arc Soul – Your Rift grants you or an ally an Arc spirit that aids in combat
Gathering Storm – Electrifying melee attacks have a larger radius and recharge your super, grenades, and melee abilities
The Elemental Harmony is one of the best support builds in the game. The Arc Soul is incredibly useful and inflicts significant damage. You can also recharge your Rift faster. The super provides the usual area control. Overall, a fantastic setup for the Warlock.
Summary: The Warlock is without a doubt the class in the game closest to a supporter. Want to hit hard offensively? Play the Stormcaller with Transcendence of Chain Lightning. Are you traveling solo and want to stay alive? The Voidwalker with Hunger Reach is your choice!
The best supporter is the Stormcaller with Elemental Harmony. If you want to go all out in the Crucible, try out the Dawnblade and Celestial Harmony. Vertical gameplay in the Crucible is a huge advantage if you play it smart.
In Overwatch , every piece of feedback is taken seriously. But a few chosen ones seem to have a better connection to Blizzard.
The balance in Overwatch is always a hotly debated topic. Not only in the official forums but also on Reddit, people frequently discuss and argue about the nuances of balance. Sometimes Orisa is absolutely overpowered, and McCree is too weak. Then, Mercy is a murderous killer while Ana should “stay in the corner with a crutch.”
Opinions are often fiercely debated. But what feedback actually reaches Blizzard? Jeff Kaplan has now addressed this and explained that they look at every piece of feedback, even if they disagree with the content.
In the official forum, Kaplan explained that professionals indeed have an influence on the developers’ decisions.
Professionals have a direct line to Kaplan
He further reveals that he has even shared his email address with some professionals and is in contact with them. This has often provided exciting insights, and many of the “pros” are able to give their feedback in a very structured way, which is extremely helpful for the development team. Moreover, the professionals have their own Discord server, where they sometimes hang out with some developers to better consolidate and discuss feedback.
But all this should not diminish the value of feedback from “non-professionals.” After all, Blizzard has a guiding principle that clearly states, “Every voice counts”… and that’s exactly what they try to consider in Overwatch.
What do you think about professionals receiving special treatment in feedback? Is this good and ultimately serves all players? Or should every voice carry the same weight?
Fortnite will soon receive a PvP mode called Battle Royale. In this mode, you can kill your opponents in the best PUBG style. The new game mode will be free to play, and those who only want to play PvP may get their money back.
Fortnite is an early access coop shooter that will only be free to play with the upcoming release. This does not apply to the upcoming PvP mode “Battle Royale”. If you only want to kill other players, you can soon start for free and do not have to buy an early access version of Fortnite.
Free2Play for Killers
Starting next Tuesday, September 26, 2017, the PvP mode Battle Royale will launch. And it’s completely free. What’s more, it gets even better.
The developers at Epic Games were so impressed by the success of the beta that they decided to move the free-to-play release forward for PvP fans. So if you only want to play Battle Royale and not the PvE part of Fortnite, you won’t have to pay a cent starting September 26.
If you have already purchased Fortnite in anticipation of the PvP mode, even though you couldn’t care less about the PvE, you might get your money back with a bit of luck. According to Epic Games, every player who bought Fortnite between September 12 and September 19 has the right to a refund.
Battle Royale gets new maps and possibly vehicles
The new game mode is also set to be further expanded. They want to first refine the handling and combat behavior. Also, teams will be possible from the release of Battle Royale.
Later, they are considering adding vehicles. New maps are also planned. The PvE mode, now known as “Fortnite: Save the World”, will be kept strictly separate from the PvP mode. However, there may be cosmetic items that can be earned in one mode and then used in the other.

24 players are fighting in an Overwatch match? A funny bug in the latest patch makes it possible!
The latest patch of Overwatch, update 1.15 (PC) or 2.19 (PS4, Xbox One), has brought some changes to the heroes and also added the new map Junkertown to the game.
However, some bugs have also crept into the game. Some players report that they suddenly have a lot of teammates and opponents. In other words: There are battles of 12 vs 12 players!
The YouTuber The Man who sold Za Warudo has released a small video of the chaos when he was fighting for a control point on Lijiang Tower with 11 teammates and 12 opponents. Note that there are 6 players and 6 bots on both sides – so there are actually “only” 12 humans participating.

It is still 100% uncertain what exactly causes the bug. However, it seems that Overwatch is trying to pit a team of 6 players against 6 bots – but it fails to do so. Instead, both sides are provided with 6 human players and 6 bots, creating perfect chaos.
Fans have long been calling for “mass battles” to create even more chaos in their game modes. Whether this is really a bug or Blizzard has already been working on these possibilities in the background cannot be said conclusively.
What is astonishing is that the game still runs smoothly despite the increased load – so it likely isn’t a server-side problem with a 12 vs 12 implementation.
Would you like to see a 12 vs 12 mode in Overwatch at least in the Arcade? Or do you think that such madness would become boring too quickly?
