In FIFA 18 FUT, Black Friday 2017 has started. Packs, sale offers and SBCs await players on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. All information about Black Friday in Ultimate Team can be found here in English.
Update November 24, 3 PM: The article has been updated! Black Friday is live.
Black Friday is celebrated every year on the Friday after Thanksgiving in the USA – it marks the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. On this day, bargain hunters and deal seekers venture into stores and scour the Internet greedily to snag as many deals as possible for little money.
EA Sports usually does not miss this event to celebrate Black Friday in the “Ultimate Team” mode and to flood the store with a lot of pack offers. This event has been in FUT since FIFA 14.
This year, Black Friday falls on November 24. Therefore, it is certain:
The “Black Friday” event in FUT 18 starts on November 24, 2017.
The start time is 3 PM.
Black Friday 2017 – Offers in Ultimate Team
Update November 24, 3 PM – EA Sports shares first information about Black Friday:
At 3 PM, the first flash round in the store begins
At 3:30 PM, the first Flash SBC will be released. You have two hours for that.
At 7 PM, new weekly objectives will be introduced. These will have “escalating prices”.
These are the special weekly tasks:
Play 10 games in FUT this week and win 1 Premium Gold Pack and a Cyber Sale jersey (Untradeable)
Play 20 games in FUT this week and win 1 Premium Electrum Player Pack (Untradeable)
Play 30 games in FUT this week and win 1 Premium Gold Player Pack (Untradeable)
In addition, there are currently special packs in the store “Rare Gold Packs” for 25,000 coins (until 9 PM) and Jumbo Premium Gold Packs for 15,000 coins (lasts another 4 days). Since 4 PM, there are Rare Mega Packs for 55,000 coins for one hour.
The Black Friday in Ultimate Team will (now confirmed) proceed as follows:
A new pack offer will come to the store every hour. This runs from Friday 3 PM to Saturday 3 PM.
There will be “special” pack offers that occur very rarely.
Flash SBCs will be released. These are squad-building challenges that you have a limited time to complete. In these challenges, you can create a team from your cards and exchange it for rewards.
There will be special weekly objectives
For a weekly objective, you will receive a exclusive Black Friday jersey.
There will be no free packs.
In recent years, Black Friday in FUT has been criticized repeatedly. The reason: There were no real “bargains”. The standard packs were not offered at a discount; they cost as much as usual. There were only expensive pack offers that normally do not exist or are very rare. And when you have to spend 100,000 coins for a “pack offer,” you can’t really call it a bargain.
How does the transfer market behave on Black Friday?
In order for players to buy the Black Friday offers, they need coins. Therefore, they sell their cards before Black Friday, leading to many cards on the transfer market and thus a price drop.
In recent years, prices were lowest on the Thursday before Black Friday, rising again afterward. If you want to get a good deal on the transfer market, you can do so in the days leading up to Black Friday.
The Curse of Osiris, the new expansion of Destiny 2, is just around the corner. Alongside new gear and activities, there are guaranteed to be changes to the game balance in PvE as well as PvP. These are not yet known – but some are necessary!
More and more information about the new expansion Curse of Osiris is becoming known. There will be a weapon forge and with the Infinite Forest a new PvE activity, inviting repeated exploration.
But what about the way we play? What will happen to the weapons? Will the meta around automatic rifles in the Crucible be broken? Will the swarm grenade be weakened, will sticky grenades be buffed?
Unfortunately, we do not know yet, so here comes our wish list for the balance changes for Season 2, which will start hand in hand with Curse of Osiris!
Weapon Balance Changes
Both in PvE and PvP, a few popular and strong weapon combinations have developed over time. Some weapon types like grenade launchers or sniper rifles are completely out of the meta and are hardly used. This needs to change!
Automatic Rifles in the Crucible
Automatic rifles are currently the strongest weapons in the Crucible. Besides their ease of use and the very good TTK (Time-To-Kill – Time needed to kill a Guardian under optimal conditions) automatic rifles shine with fantastic range. And that’s where the problem lies.
The legendary automatic rifle Uriel’s Gift
Because of the high range, the motivation to use other weapon types is eliminated. Who needs hand cannons, scout rifles, or pulse rifles when automatic rifles are top at all distances? For this reason, the range of automatic rifles should be lowered. The damage drop-off should be noticed faster.
Even if I am an advocate of strict separation between PvE and PvP, this probably won’t happen in Destiny 2. However, the reduction of range will hardly be noticeable in PvE, where players tend to go in close to their opponents.
Considered the worst exotic in the game – Lion’s Roar
This situation is surely known to Bungie. It can thus be assumed that grenade launchers will receive a damage buff. Whether they will still be considered “trash” or even overpowered – time will tell!
No other perk is discussed as much as the heavy caliber rounds. They are considered too strong because they shake the opponent’s aim significantly – precise aiming is then no longer possible. Even if both opponents use heavy caliber rounds, it depends on chance whether and how strongly the opponent’s aim is affected.
The MIDA Multi-Tool
The most prominent representative among the weapons with heavy caliber rounds is the MIDA Multi-Tool.This weapon already had heavy caliber rounds in Destiny 1, which were later removed. However, they are back in Destiny 2, which surprised many Guardians.
The following options are available for Bungie to adjust the heavy caliber rounds:
They are completely removed and replaced with another perk
The effects on the opponent’s aim are diminished
The randomness factor is removed. Heavy caliber rounds will always be activated
The Sniper Rifles
Sniper rifles are currently rarely used. This is partly because they are power weapons and there are many (better) options to deal high damage – and that without the hassle of precise aiming.
The legendary sniper rifle One Clap
On the other hand, sniper rifles deal significantly too little damage. Both in combat against aliens and against other Guardians, sniper rifles are used too rarely.
What can Bungie do to make sniper rifles more popular? That is a major challenge. The most sensible and easiest option would be integration into the energy slot – which probably won’t happen.
Of course, Bungie could simply increase the damage of the sniper rifles. However, that doesn’t guarantee that more players will choose sniper rifles over rocket launchers. Because the following conditions have to be met for players to prefer sniper rifles to rocket launchers:
The increased difficulty of aiming must be rewarded in some way (larger magazines or ammo reserves, more damage)
Sniper rifles must fill niches that no other weapon can occupy
Guardian abilities also need some adjustments. The greatest need for improvement is with the Hunter, who lags behind the other two classes in some aspects. Bungie also needs to tweak the grenades – especially sticky grenades deal significantly less damage than others.
The Hunter’s Class Ability
The Hunter’s dodge ability has a valid place, especially in the Crucible. Not infrequently, it allows you to avoid tricky situations. The automatic reloading of weapons is especially useful for weapons with a slow reload speed.
In contrast to Titans and Warlocks, the dodge ability does not provide advantages that benefit teammates. Additionally, Hunters are vulnerable during the dodge step.
Specifically, the vulnerability is a problem during stationary tasks (holding platforms). For this reason, the Hunter’s class ability should trigger some form of healing and increase armor. This would significantly enhance the dodge ability.
So that teammates can benefit as well, the dodge could increase the reload speed of nearby allies.
The Hunter’s Shadow Shot
The Shadow Shot is a perfect weapon for controlling larger groups of enemies. In the Crucible, it is preferred to suppress opposing super abilities.
Unfortunately, this does not happen immediately, but with a delay of a few seconds. There are videos across the internet of Titans who have destroyed a Shadow Shot before it has deactivated the super. This makes the Hunter’s arrow completely useless in some situations.
The effects of the arrow should take effect immediately as soon as it hits the target.
The Hunter’s Six-Shot Perk
The Hunter’s six-shot ability sounds good at first. Six shots with the golden gun? Sounds fantastic, but it isn’t. Because the duration of the super is massively reduced, which leads to complete panic or careful consideration of when to use the super.
In the Crucible, it is nearly impossible to encounter six enemies in the short activation time. And in PvE, Hunters deal significantly more damage with the Celestial Nighthawk (only one shot with the golden gun, but massive damage). In short: The six-shot perk is wasted and weak.
The duration of the super should be significantly extended. Only then will Guardians have an advantage with the six-shot perk.
The Synergy of the Mobius Quiver and Orpheus Rig
The perk Mobius Quiver is associated with the Way of the Pathfinder (Nightstalker Hunter). The perk description states that rapid shots can be fired with the Shadow Shot and deal significant damage to tethered targets.
This initially does not sound bad. However, there is an exotic “problem” associated with this perk called Orpheus Rig. These exotic boots recharge your ability energy with each tethered enemy. If you hit 7-8 enemies at once, your super will be practically available again immediately.
The exotic leg armor “Orpheus Rig”
Unfortunately, the Mobius Quiver perk makes the boots nearly useless. Because the exotic perk of the boots is activated only when you have fired your last arrow.
Since you have already defeated enemies with the other arrows, the boots no longer provide the bonuses that would have been possible. An additional disadvantage of the perk is that the duration of your super is reduced.
Bungie needs to establish the synergy of the Orpheus Rig boots with the Mobius Quiver, otherwise, the perk is wasted or Guardians run around with exotic boots that offer no advantages.
The Catastrophe Skill of the Warlocks
The Voidwalker has access to the Catastrophe skill, which greatly slows the Nova Bomb but fires seeking projectiles upon explosion. The problem: The Nova Bomb with this skill is significantly too slow.
Enemy groups in PvE mode have enough time to scatter, opponents in the Crucible can even run away from the Nova Bomb. Either Bungie significantly increases the speed of the Nova Bomb or changes the function of the perk as it was in the predecessor: As a spear! A Nova Bomb that flies straight ahead until it hits a target.
The Sticky Grenades Need to Become Stronger
Fusion and magnetic grenades can currently only be described as “useless”. In the Crucible, a sticky grenade doesn’t even destroy an opposing Guardian’s shield, in combat against aliens, they deal marginal damage.
Sticky grenades should deal significantly more damage in PvE mode. Also, they should deal more damage in the Crucible, yet not be as destructive as in the predecessor.

Activision is opposing a trademark in the USA. It concerns Call of Duty and dog poop.
According to PCGamesN, Activision apparently intends to oppose the entry of a trademark in the USA. It concerns a service that removes dog waste: “Call of Doodee.”
The publisher of Destiny and Call of Duty has been granted an extension to take action against the name “Call of Doodee.”
On one side a mega-corporation – on the other a couple in California
“Call of Doodee” is a family business run by a couple in California. Albert and Leslie Ochoa claim to love dogs and have four of their own. Since 2013, they have been offering to clean up after dogs and remove their waste. The couple can be booked to come to someone’s home and remove dog poop.
The name “Call of Duty” is a kind of wordplay:
In the shooter series, the English word “Duty” refers to the obligation to fight for one’s country, to perform one’s service.
In “Call of Doodee,” the irony is more about “When biology calls.” Someone is indeed calling, and you cannot resist that.
Call of Doodee threatens shooter brand
Activision apparently believes that the name of the dog poop service “Call of Doodee” threatens its own brand “Call of Duty,” a successful series of military shooters. They formally requested an extension to take action against the name later. This request was granted.
As PCGamesN reports, Activision has 23 trademarks related to the “Call of Duty” brand in the USA, but none of them concerns dog waste. Other than the name, there are no similarities between the huge computer game franchise and the dog waste removal family business. Call of Doodee does not use any logos or other materials from Call of Duty in its advertising.
The only thing “Call of Doodee” has to do with the military is that those serving in the army receive a 10% discount. Just like seniors and families adopting orphaned dogs.
Copyright in the USA is complicated. Large corporations repeatedly sue over seemingly trivial matters, allegedly out of fear of losing the rights to the exclusivity of their brand if they allow others to use it.

The fights in Moonlight Blade are meant to illustrate the philosophy of Martial Arts combat. Thus, you don’t just strike until your opponent is down. You must find your inner strength and calm, and gather energy to execute attacks. Only when your mind is calm do you have the power to defeat your enemies.

Each of us has started with MMOs and has not been able to get away from this genre. But what was your first contact with online games, and how did it go for you?
No matter if it was a MOBA like LoL, an online shooter like Destiny, or a large online role-playing game like World of Warcraft – at some point, everyone here has started with MMOs and online games. But how did you come to the genre and how was your “first time”?
Jürgen’s First Time – Guild Wars 1 Sold Me
I, Jürgen, played my first “real” online game with Guild Wars 1 in 2005. Before that, I was exclusively offline and didn’t find it very interesting to grind online with thousands of other people when you could play high-quality single-player games.
Then there was the annoying topic of “subscription fees.” The big player World of Warcraft was expensive, and I was about to start studying and was therefore tight on cash. Paying monthly to play was not an option. But eventually, I wanted to try an online game and see what was so great about it.
I then chose Guild Wars 1. The game was already Buy2Play at that time, looked great, and was presented very charmingly in GameStar.
An MMO Like a Solo Game
In addition to the low price, I liked the idea that you didn’t always have to be with a team. You could take bots with you and explore the instances alone. That suited me well. I was still extremely shy back then and didn’t want to burden or disturb anyone.
So I had real problems solving a specific quest in the tutorial of Guild Wars 1. You have to form a group at least once to venture outside the walls of Ascalon. I was afraid to ask anyone for a long time. I was scared that I would play poorly and make a fool of myself.
In the end, it worked out, and I found a similarly shy teammate who wanted to venture out with me for a short time. Later, I had fewer reservations, and today I hardly play alone anymore!
Guddy’s First Time – Awestruck into Roleplaying
It was the late 90s that pulled me into the realm of online multiplayer. Ultima Online was my game of choice: today it looks heavily pixelated, dubious 2D, and overall: Where is the action?! But I loved it and still fondly remember it, even as the memories slowly fade. You don’t get younger, after all. (Just better.)
Back then, I lived in Königswinter. That, in turn, is located in the mystical nature reserve Siebengebirge, which also contains the Drachenfels – a mountain named after a German server in UO! That was a sign! For sure. Ultima Online was my first virtual role-playing experience. Back when roleplaying was still written in capital letters, and you could lose yourself in the world and the characters.
I haven’t touched Ultima Online in a long time. It was replaced by too many other games and activities. But it was my first MMO and accompanied me through my youth for a few good years. I have experienced more roleplaying in this game than in any other MMO. For that alone, I still love it today.
What about you?
Each of you has started with MMOs. But which game was it and how was your “first time”? Let us know!

In Star Wars Battlefront 2 it takes quite a long time to collect enough credits for loot boxes and heroes. One player has therefore built a real robot that takes care of the grind but plays miserably!
When it became known that you have to grind about 4,000 hours in Star Wars Battlefront II to unlock all game content from the controversial loot boxes, many players took to the barricades! However, others probably went to their workbench and grabbed screwdrivers and soldering irons.
The result was a grind bot in real life!
The dumbest grind bot in the world!
The player and Reddit user Lowberg built an extremely simple robot that consists of a clamp, a wooden block, a few circuit boards, and two simple robotic arms. This “droid” is equipped with a random program that repeatedly makes it press various buttons on a PlayStation controller.

In this way, the bot somehow fumbles around the map and thus prevents a kick due to inactivity. Of course, the robot does not hit a barn door this way and almost runs aimlessly around the map until it hits a wall and then lovingly caresses it for the rest of the round.
Crates of credits for the robot!
Thanks to the strange loot rules in Battlefront 2, the bot doesn’t even have to play well! Because Battlefront 2 also gives about 200 credits to even the worst players on the losing team. So if you play often enough, you can quickly gather a pile of credits to buy the controversial loot boxes with upgrades.
So the bot has already earned quite a bit of loot for Lowberg. Since the bot is not a program, it is also not recognized by anti-cheat software. It’s just a really bad player. The reactions from other players are, however, mixed.
After all, the robot would do all the annoying grind during the day, allowing the player to have fun with their loot boxes in the evening. Additionally, some players find it funny that even a tremendously stupid robot, which only runs into walls and doesn’t shoot anyone, can farm masses of money in BF 2.
Other players do not necessarily see Lowberg’s action as cheating, but at least as anti-social behavior. After all, someone with such a dumb bot on their team is missing a player and will most likely always lose.
The development of the pirate online game Sea of Thieves (PC, Xbox One) is progressing rapidly. The final phase of the technical alpha has now been announced.
Next year, the online pirate game Sea of Thieves is set to be released. To ensure a smooth launch and an enjoyable game, all interested players are invited to participate in the upcoming final technical alpha.
The final technical alpha invites all players to participate
Those who register for the Insider Program will also get a spot. So far, participants have been selected randomly or based on their gaming systems. For example, to see how well Sea of Thieves runs on certain PC configurations. However, in the final technical alpha, anyone can participate.
Rare hopes to recruit around 200,000 testers in this way, who will take a look at the latest version of the MMO and provide plenty of feedback. However, you can only participate if you are at least 18 years old and sign an NDA. Additionally, you need an Xbox Live account, either on an Xbox One or a Windows 10 PC. Anyone wanting to play on Xbox will also need an Xbox Live Gold membership.
The date of the final technical alpha of Sea of Thieves will be announced soon, but it is expected to be in December. Then you can find out if you enjoy playing as a pirate, navigating the seas with your crew, and searching for treasures. Because it can be so much fun to play as a pirate.

In Star Wars Battlefront 2, in addition to the traditional four classes, well-known heroes and villains are also playable. You can find out exactly who they are and how to unlock them here.
Including the first free DLC, you have access to 8 heroes or villains per side in Star Wars Battlefront 2. Some are already playable from the beginning, but most need to be unlocked first.
How do you unlock them?
In general, heroes can be unlocked with credits, the in-game currency. These are earned by reaching milestones, through loot boxes, and completing tasks. Additionally, completing the campaign provides a total of 5,000 credits – and it’s worth it!
The heroes yet to be unlocked currently cost between 5,000 (like Iden Versio) and 15,000 (like Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader) credits. Of course, this takes time: depending on playing style and skill level, it takes between 24 and 40 hours to unlock all characters, as various players have calculated. It’s beneficial to consider beforehand which heroes you wish to purchase.
In the ongoing game, you will need to earn battle points to actually play as a hero. Simply having them in your repertoire is not enough. In the menu, you can exchange battle points for starfighters, AT-ATs, and of course heroes, making the most of it until your next death.
To make your purchase and unlock decisions easier, here is a list of the heroes and villains along with a summary of their abilities.
All Heroes at a glance:
Chewbacca
Finn (with the upcoming DLC)
Han Solo
Lando Calrissian
Leia Organa
Luke Skywalker
Rey
Yoda
Chewbacca – the powerhouse
The Wookiee is not only Han Solo’s loyal companion but also a fantastic fighter! With his Bowcaster, which is impressively showcased in The Force Awakens, he plows through opponents. Depending on the star cards used, he is a slower hero but can take a lot of hits.
Costs 10,000 credits.
Requires 6,000 battle points.
His abilities
Shock Grenade: Chewbacca throws a grenade that releases smaller shock grenades and hits multiple opponents.
Wild Bowcaster: Overcharges the Bowcaster to fire fully charged shots without charging time.
Storm Surge: Activates the ability a second time, throwing multiple opponents to the ground. He can also activate this in mid-air.
Han Solo – the dynamite
The popular rogue is naturally wielding his DL-44 blaster and is particularly effective with his grenades. You should upgrade this blaster to maximize its damage output. With the star card “Modified Blaster”, for instance, it overheats much slower.
Playable from the beginning.
Requires 6,000 battle points.
His abilities
Detonating Charge: Throws a sticky grenade and detonates it if needed.
Sharpshooter: Fires the DL-44 faster for a certain time.
Shoulder Charge: Rushes forward and rams the first enemy he encounters, damaging them.
Lando Calrissian – the tactician
The charming smuggler can not only flirt but also proves to be extremely effective on the battlefield. Specifically, those who like to attack from hiding will enjoy playing him.
Playable from the beginning.
Requires 8,000 battle points.
His abilities
Smoke Grenade: He throws a smoke grenade, limiting the opponents’ vision while he can still see everything through his thermal vision goggles.
Precision Shot: Targets up to five opponents and neutralizes them with multiple shots.
Deactivator: Throws a sticky grenade that reveals enemies nearby and disrupts their radar.
Leia Organa – the defender
Leia Organa is your choice if you prefer a more passive playstyle. With star cards, you can rapidly improve your regeneration, and your shield protects you from opponents. It’s understood that she can also deal damage.
Costs 10,000 credits.
Requires 6,000 battle points.
Her abilities
Flash Grenade: Blinds and confuses opponents within the radius of the grenade, which explodes upon impact.
Rapid Fire: Engages opponents under continuous laser fire from her E-11 blaster rifle.
Trooper Shield: She activates a shield that can also protect allies when they stand with her.
Luke Skywalker – the rogue
With Luke, you can wield a lightsaber and fight your way through enemies – even deflect their blaster shots and deal damage to other heroes. If your heart is with close combat on the light side, he’s your choice.
Costs 15,000 credits.
Requires 6,000 battle points.
His abilities
Push: Pushes opponents away with the Force or off cliffs or into hazards.
Defend: Unleashes Force energy across the ground, damaging enemies in the area of effect.
Sprint: Increases his sprint speed using the Force, allowing him to reach targets or escape tricky situations faster.
Rey – the revealing slasher
One of her very effective abilities is revealing opponents in the vicinity. This makes it easier to rush into close combat and slash through enemies with the lightsaber.
Playable from the beginning.
Requires 6,000 battle points.
Her abilities
Sprint Attack: Charges forward with her lightsaber and harms anyone in her way.
Insight: Reveals all opponents in the vicinity. While she has the ability active, her stamina and damage increase.
Mind Trick: Causes dizziness and confusion among the opponents.
Yoda – the dangerous rubber ball
Due to his small size and resulting agility, he is a difficult opponent to hit. Furthermore, he can heal himself and allies – a damn strong combination!
Playable from the beginning.
Requires 8,000 battle points.
His abilities
Unleash: Damages opponents in front of him and pushes them back. If he blocks damage, Yoda’s range and damage from Unleash increases.
Presence: Instantly heals Yoda and his allies within his area of effect.
Sprint Attack: This attack can be performed three times in quick succession. He jumps forward and damages affected opponents.
A new Priest card is causing an outcry in the Hearthstone community. The Duskbreaker is so powerful that it is already considered the “most powerful card ever.”
In a few weeks, the new Hearthstone expansion Kobolds and Catacombs will be released. The developers are gradually revealing all new cards that will be available to play or buy after the release.
One card stands out from the crowd and causes an outcry in the community. We are talking about the Duskbreaker.
The Duskbreaker is a 3/3 Dragon for Priest that costs 4 mana and has the following Battlecry: If you have a Dragon in hand, deal 3 damage to all other minions.
The Duskbreaker is capable of choking off almost all current Aggro decks in their infancy. But not only does it eliminate the opponent, it also shifts the tempo of the match in the opposite direction. Strictly speaking, the Duskbreaker is a small “Boardclear” for only 1 mana (the cost of the effect) with a 3/3 body for 3 mana.
Too much effect for too little cost
Players compare the card to other effects, such as the Warlock spell, Hellfire. Hellfire also costs 4 mana and deals 3 damage to all characters.
Sure, the Duskbreaker has the additional requirement that you must have a Dragon in hand – but that will likely always be the case with Priest Dragon decks, as that is the only way the card makes sense.
Many professionals already agree that the Duskbreaker is the strongest card (considering cost/benefit) that Blizzard has ever released for Hearthstone. Many expect it to be nerfed later and its cost to even increase to 5 or 6 mana.
What do you think of the Duskbreaker? Is it too powerful? Or is this a clever move to ensure that Aggro decks lose strength and dominance in the next expansion?

The six new races in WoW do not have their own starting areas. But how will the story of the races be told?
World of Warcraft will soon receive its 7th expansion. In “Battle for Azeroth”, there is no new class, but a total of six new “Allied Races”, three of which will join the Horde and three the Alliance.
Those who wish can soon traverse Azeroth as Void Elf, Highmountain Tauren, Nightborne, Dark Iron Dwarf, Zandalari Troll, or Lightforged Draenei and start already at level 20. This has the great advantage that new characters can immediately roam the world on their mount and the long foot travel during the starting areas is eliminated. You can find more information about the Allied Races here!
Main character receives “Intro Quests” for Allied Races
However, this also has a certain drawback that many story fans will not like. The Allied Races do not have their own starting areas. This means there are no proper introductory quests that address fundamental issues within the society of Void Elves or the “first steps” of a Tauren from Highmountain.
It won’t be completely without introduction, though. This will be experienced by the main character and not by the actual character of the allied race. The respective main character of a player must first unlock the allied races. This unlocking is tied to a quest line that explains exactly why a race joins the faction and how this decision came about. This should provide enough story to get a good insight into the new races.
Thanks to the new “Allied Races”, there are 6 new character slots!
How exactly this will unfold, we will probably find out at the earliest in the beta of Battle for Azeroth early in 2018.
The question of all questions: Is there THE best route in Fortnite’s fun multiplayer mode Battle Royale? A Redditor is trying to find an answer to this question – and maps out a promising route!
One question occupies most Battle Royale players: Is there THE one route? The one patent solution that guarantees a victory against the 99 opposing players? To get straight to the point – No, there isn’t!
Every game is fundamentally different and presents varying conditions. The opponents do not always behave the same way, the loot is distributed differently and last but not least the storm (the death zone) changes its location with every game.
To be honest, this is what makes a Battle Royale game so appealing. The Redditor Hesoner has now published his very own tactic, with which he managed to win four games in a row. We present his tactic and route to you, as well as what you need to prepare for if you want to emerge victorious from the match!
The route – With loot and overview to victory!
Abundance of loot, fast progress, and calm – with these advantages Hesoner describes “his” route. The landing point is on the northeastern edge of the map directly on an ice cream truck. From there, you work your way southwest to relative center of the map to be flexible in reacting to the eye of the storm.
A major advantage of the route: You fall upon the enemies who have landed further inland. The exact path has been wonderfully visualized by the Redditor in the following image:
In the following, we explain the exact route, where the hot spots are and where to find the best loot!
The starting point is the northeastern edge of the map. Where you need to land is easy to recognize, it’s an ice cream truck (1). Up to two treasure chests and one ammunition crate can be found here.
Then you march south to a hill where a teddy bear sits (2). There is also a treasure chest to loot here, and you have a good view of the surrounding areas. Scan the area for enemies; specifically, the two houses to the north are more frequented than the rest of the route (3).
Because the next stop is those houses. If enemies come towards you, you can easily take them out and save yourself the detour through the houses. In the houses, you can find up to 3 treasure chests and ammunition spots.
Off to the farm!
Directly southwest of the two houses is an open field that doesn’t hold any crates, but at least two loot drops (4). Be careful here not to be seen by opposing players.
Adjacent, you will find a barn that you can loot at your leisure. Here, the chance of picking up blue and purple items is particularly high. You can also find an ammunition package here (5).
To the southeast of the barn, it continues to the large willow tree. This spot is also quite popular, and you may run into opponents who have been causing trouble in the Wailing Woods (6). Two treasure chests and an ammunition stash are waiting to be looted by you.
Directly south of the willow tree you will find a caravan that doesn’t hold any crates, but at loot drops a high chance of blue items. Since the caravan is on a hill, you again have a good view of the surrounding areas (7).
Next, head east to two more houses, just waiting to be looted by you. Again, you can find up to three treasure and ammunition crates (8).
Beware of the tomatoes!
Now head straight south to the bridge. Caution: You are dangerously close to Tomato Town, but you have a good overview of the city to take out the occasional unwary opponent (9). You can find a treasure chest and ammunition to replenish your stock here as well.
Further south, you can stock up on materials – you can break up to 250 units of stone from the rocks. Be aware of your surroundings – gathering resources always makes noise, which can alert nearby enemies to you (10).
To the southeast of the “stone quarry” you will find a truck that is rarely visited by other players. Ideally, you can grab two treasure chests and ammunition here (11).
Once you have covered all the mentioned places, you should have a considerable arsenal of weapons with enough ammunition and, as a bonus, a good amount of stone for building fortifications. Note that not all chests are always present, ideally you have looted 15 treasure chests and 11 ammunition spots – a remarkable value!
And what’s next?
From here you must be flexible, depending on where the eye of the storm is, you need to move discreetly there. Be attentive and use any cover you can find.
Always dangerous – The storm!
The stuff collected based on the presented route should definitely be useful for the showdown. Of course, it doesn’t just depend on the route. Your weapon skills, along with your strategic understanding when building fortifications and cover, also determine victory or defeat.
The route works in every game mode, be it solo, duo or squad mode.

New cards for Hearthstone are causing excitement. Druids are getting another way to force opponents to give up.
There are only a few weeks left until the new expansion for Hearthstone is released. Kobolds and Catacombs brings numerous new cards, including legendary weapons for each class.
The current highlight seems to be the Druid’s weapon. The Twig of the WorldTree costs 4 mana, has 1 attack and 5 durability. Moreover, it comes with a powerful death rattle: Gain 10 Mana Crystals.
Although many players note that it represents a significant tempo loss to play the weapon, it has some advantages. For the next 5 turns, the Druid’s hero power deals 2 damage instead of 1 damage (as the weapon’s damage is added). Furthermore, the weapon is relatively “safe,” as no opponent wants to destroy it prematurely and trigger the death rattle.
Because you have great control over the weapon, the finishing blow can be utilized strategically. This allows for crazy combinations, where you first play a Malygos, then destroy the Twig of the World Tree, and have 10 mana again for spells.
“Super Combo” summons minions for 32 mana!
Resourceful players have already envisioned “The Dream,” the perfect combination of cards that will make an opponent certainly leave the match immediately and concede. It would look like this:
Round 2: Wild Growth
Round 3: Twig of the World Tree
Round 4: Coin, Innervate, Innervate, Medivh, Kun the Forgotten King, Plague of Madness
By playing Medivh, the Twig of the World Tree is destroyed and replaced, which also activates the death rattle and grants 10 mana. Kun the Forgotten King is a 7/7 minion that grants another 10 mana. Plague of Madness deals damage, summons a 5/5 minion, and another minion for 10 mana, due to Medivh’s weapon.
This way, the Druid ends up with two 7/7 minions, one 5/5 minion, and another random minion for 10 mana (averaging around 10/10). That totals 29/29 on the board – not bad for turn 4.
It won’t be long before the first streamers are able to pull off this combination.
Are you looking forward to the new expansion Kobolds and Catacombs? Or does the expansion so far leave you cold?
Monster Hunter World (PC, PS4, Xbox) aims to make the franchise accessible to the West for the first time. Capcom is making some changes to the franchise that longtime fans are likely to notice.
The franchise around Monster Hunter has been able to grow primarily through strong word of mouth and has longtime, loyal fans. These fans will notice some changes while playing the latest installment, Monster Hunter World.
We have identified 5 changes in Monster Hunter World that loyal fans are likely to notice.
1. The BBQ song is shorter
In Monster Hunter (World), you should have a grill with you on every quest! You can get raw meat from herbivores by hunting them. Raw meat can be used to lure carnivores and set a trap for them.
You can also throw the raw meat on the grill and fry yourself a juicy steak. The steak gives you buffs and healing – the better you prepare your meat, the stronger the buffs will be.
A song plays while grilling, indicating how you need to time your cooking skills: The right timing determines whether your steak is perfectly cooked or burnt. This song has been shortened in Monster Hunter World! This allows you to start grilling more efficiently and quickly now.
Bon Appétit!
2. Much larger and seamless maps
Veterans will remember this trick: If you were being chased by a monster and were close to death, you could often just escape through a loading screen. You would just run into the next zone and hope that the beastly pursuer would spawn in a different area.
This will no longer be possible in Monster Hunter World.
The world map will still be divided into different areas marked with numbers, just like in the old games. But in Monster Hunter World, the transitions to the various zones will flow seamlessly into each other. This may not seem special to newcomers, but for veterans, this is a significant change that finally gives the feeling of an open world.
3. Camps are getting a general overhaul
In Monster Hunter World, you will have the city of Astera as your base. Here is the research lab, the canteen, the blacksmith, and everything else you need for hunting.
During the missions, camps will also be available to you. In the camps, you can store important items and recover from hunting.
The camps undergo a change in Monster Hunter World:
Multiple camps in each zone:
In the old games, you only had one camp available during the quest – on the entire map. The maps are now much larger in Monster Hunter World. You will now have multiple camps available from which you can start a quest and retreat. Two have already been shown in the Ancient Forest and the Wildspire Waste.
Canteens in every camp:
In the base city of Astera, there are Palicos who prepare meals for you in canteens. The food gives you buffs for hunting and alters your stats. For example, you can build resistance to a specific element. In Monster Hunter World, there will also be canteens in every camp, so you can actively respond to specific situations during the quest.
Fast travel to the camps:
As long as you are outside of a fight, you can now activate fast travel to reach the camps. This was not possible in the old games since you had to take long routes.
Epic monster battles are at the heart of the entire franchise. The monsters behave mostly like realistic animals and have a wide range of strengths and weaknesses. Monster Hunter World will simplify discovering the monsters’ weak points significantly.
Tracking:
In Monster Hunter World, you will have Scout Flies, which are a new feature. They track the trails of monsters that you can investigate with your hunter. Analyzing the trails helps you learn more about the monsters. The more trails you collect and discover, the more information will appear in your Field Guide about the monster. This way, you will learn if they are allergic to certain elements or what loot you can get from them.
Damage display:
In old games, there was no way to tell if you were dealing high or low damage to a monster – this will change in World. You will now get a damage display that at least gives you an idea of whether you are hitting the monster’s weak point. This display can also be turned off if you want the “pure” experience!
5. Use items while running
In old games of the franchise, you HAD to stand still if you wanted to consume an item. Monster Hunter World will be much more dynamic than its predecessors. You will no longer be able to flee through a loading screen in front of a monster that has hit you too hard.
That’s why Capcom is now giving you the option to use items like potions while running. However, you will move a bit slower.
6. Menus and tutorials have been redesigned for better clarity
This is something that only veterans might notice. Newcomers may still find the menus largely confusing and not very intuitive. Nevertheless, many menus and tutorials have been revised in Monster Hunter World. For example, small videos summarize the weapon mechanics. Also, the trees that show all upgrade options for the weapons have become clearer.
7. NPCs can speak
In old games, the characters only mumble a fantasy language. Everything had to be read. With the added voiceover, Monster Hunter World offers new storytelling possibilities. Additionally, the characters provide hints and tips that you used to have to read.
8. Collect quests are now integrated
There are still collect quests where you need to harvest about 30 mushrooms or slay 15 small monsters. However, these can now be completed alongside all quests.
9. There is a training room to practice with weapons
The 14 weapon classes are available to every player directly. In older games, there was only the option to test the weapons directly on the battlefield. In Monster Hunter World, you have a room available for training. Here you will find all sorts of gear to use your weapons.
Especially practical is that the combinations for attacks are displayed in this room. For weapons like the hunting horn, there are many key combinations to learn. The training room is ideal for that. If you have upgraded a weapon, you can also directly test the effects in the training room.
What do the veterans and newcomers among you think of these changes?
Mobile MMORPGs are becoming increasingly popular, especially in Asia, and even here, there are more complex games that run on smartphones or tablets. We present to you 6 titles to keep an eye on for the future in 2018.
Mobile games have essentially existed since the first mobile phones. Back then, you played simple skill games like Snake while waiting for the bus at the stop.
Today, however, things are different. Where pixelated snakes used to wriggle across monochrome screens, fully-fledged MMORPGs shine on the displays of modern smartphones and tablets.
Here you will find 6 mobile MMORPGs that should make waves in the near future.
Royal Blood
A promising mobile MMORPG title is Royal Blood from Gamevil. The game will be a full-fledged AAA MMORPG that is specifically designed for mobile platforms from the start. However, it is not meant to be a simple grind game with pixelated graphics.
Royal Blood – Unity Engine and modest hardware requirements
Thanks to the modern Unity engine, Royal Blood is expected to be prettier than previous mobile MMORPGs like Order and Chaos. Therefore, Royal Blood looks impressively good and offers smooth animations and cool effects.

Anyone seeing Royal Blood for the first time is unlikely to believe that it is “just” a mobile MMORPG. The best part: You don’t even need an epic next-gen phone. A cozy and cost-effective Galaxy S4 should suffice to play Royal Blood according to the manufacturer.
Royal Blood – Massive PvP and dynamic events
Royal Blood offers everything that you would expect from online RPGs on PC or consoles:
Massive online gaming in instances with hundreds of players
Raids with large groups
Character classes with depth
Realm vs Realm PvP, where up to 200 players compete against each other, as well as classic 3 vs 3 PvP in the arena
Dynamic events in the open world
Life skills like crafting and fishing
Royal Blood – 100 developers at work, Release in 2018
Our boss Dawid met David Mohr, the European head of Gamevil, for an interview at Gamescom 2017. There we learned that Royal Blood is expected to be released by the end of 2017 with a bit of luck and a large team of 100 employees has been working on it for 3 years. Update:It is now known that Royal Blood is to be released in March 2018.

With Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen, a classic MMORPG is set to emerge, reminiscent of the early days of the Everquest series – including great explorations in a world that is currently being created. Unlike many other new MMORPGs, Pantheon focuses on PvE.
Fans associate Everquest with group adventures and exciting exploration tours. It was simply fun to explore the vast world. And Pantheon also aims to provide you with a world worth discovering. Therefore, the developers place great importance on making each zone as varied as possible.
A large world to explore
However, you will not only travel through dense forests, dark dungeons, lush pastures, and ancient ruins. Great cities also invite you to talk to NPCs, trade, and meet other players.
These cities are to be designed impressively. With a new video, the developers show you how they proceed to design and integrate a city into the game.
A city is being built
This is the capital, Thronefast, which is particularly large. The developers guide you through the city, which is currently still under construction, and introduce individual buildings, although not all of them have been completed yet. You will already get a good overview of Thronefast.
The city is to be finished by the start of the alpha, which starts in time for Christmas and then lets you experience the first adventures in the fantasy world of Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen.

Players are often frustrated when they get shot by opponents they can’t see in a PUBG match. Dying this way, without knowing “how”, is frustrating.
The new kill cam feature now shows how opponents discovered you.
Kill Cam Shows Opponents’ Hiding Spots
The developers of PUBG early on announced that they wanted to add a kill cam to the battle royale shooter. This feature has been worked on for a long time and is now available for testing on PUBG’s test servers.
Although the kill cam works in all available game modes, you only see it in duos and squads after all allies have died. This is an important feature, as otherwise it would be possible to reveal the opponents’ positions to your teammates.
In solo games, however, the kill cam option pops up just a few seconds after your death.
You probably already know its function from other games like Call of Duty or Overwatch. It shows you the last seconds from the opponent’s perspective that led to your death. In PUBG, the minimap also adjusts to the opponent’s view. You can see the direction the opponent is facing and a highlight when they shoot. In the following GIF from Reddit user K4rst3n, the feature is clearly illustrated:
Apart from the minimap, the kill cam works like in other games. As it is still in testing, there are occasionally desync issues. It remains unclear whether the opponent actually experienced these lags and stutters in-game, or if the feature simply needs further improvement.

A new feature in PUBG would hardly be conceivable without glitches and funny videos, right? Here you see an example of aerial swimming acrobatics in the kill cam.
With the new feature, you finally find out behind which rock the opponent was hiding and could spy on your position. This way, you can easily gather information and prepare for the next game with better hiding spots.
While the event looked nice and impressive, when it came time to see what the “most rewarding event of all time” had to offer as a reward, only two of the known event chests appeared.
It was a moment that represents the problems of Destiny 2: The loot system is not interesting in its current form. It does not feel satisfying to complete activities in the game. And no matter what new activities Bungie introduces now, there remains a sour taste as long as the reward is “one blue item and two tokens.”
No question, Destiny 2 has an endgame. No matter what Bungie does now to the body of the vehicle and paints it – the engine is not running properly.
Fans want to see Chris Barrett and the changes and fixes
However, nothing from these points was visible in the stream. The streams are intended as pure PR events. They continue without addressing player feedback. These problems are getting bigger with increasing duration. Hope now rests on the third and final stream next Wednesday.
Streamer Gothalion even sent the tweet “Chris Barrett, save us” into the ether during the stream.
