With this DPS build, you can deal a huge amount of damage in The Division 1.8. It is especially recommended for PvP.
Since the Update 1.8, Light Machine Guns (LMGs) are stronger than ever. While this weapon category has been upgraded, the once overpowered assault rifles have been slightly nerfed. They are still top-notch, especially the M4, but the LMGs also perform well in the post-apocalypse 1.8.
A great “Lone Wolf” build can now be created around the LMGs, which boosts the DPS and unleashes massive damage. The YouTuber MarcoStyle presents it in the video, and we provide all the info in the following in German:

This is how you create the LMG DPS build in Update 1.8
This build is not recommended for solo agents. Your goal is to deal as much damage as possible. You won’t be able to take too much damage yourself. Therefore, you should have teammates by your side to keep you alive.
The build focuses on crit damage, so you are not dependent on precise headshots, but can continuously shoot at enemies, with critical body shots also dealing high damage. Furthermore, you do not want to waste time reloading, but keep the damage output consistently high.
Here’s how it works:
You will need six pieces from the “Secret Lone Wolf” set. This will be the biggest hurdle, as you need a lot of luck and time to gather all six secret gear set pieces. They provide the following bonuses:
2-set bonus: +100% Ammo capacity
3-set bonus: +8% LMG damage and +8% shotgun damage
4-set bonus:Talent – When the weapon is holstered, it reloads immediately.
6-set bonus: When you shoot in combat and reach 50% of the magazine, there is a 75% chance that a bonus will be triggered. This bonus takes effect only when the last bullet leaves the magazine. The bonus then refills the magazine immediately and increases weapon damage and fire rate by 30%. The bonus ends when you reload, switch weapons, or leave combat.
The 6-set bonus sounds quite complicated, but it really isn’t. You shoot normally at the enemy, and when you only have 50% of the bullets in the magazine left, this sign may appear on the screen:If the sign appears, you know that you will receive the bonus as soon as you release the last bullet from the magazine. The bonus will then greatly increase your “Damage per second” with the next magazine.
So take six pieces of “Secret Lone Wolf” for the armor parts, and make sure that the stats and mods increase the weapon attribute. Over 8000 weapons are required. Stamina should be around 5000 and Electronics should be around 3000. If you find that you’re struggling and dying all the time, increase the stamina a bit – at the expense of weapons.
Chest piece: Bonuses to health, exotic damage resistance, and ammo capacity. Mods for weapons and health
Mask: Bonuses to crit chance and burn resistance. Mods for weapons and crit chance
Knees: Bonuses to health and status effect resistances. Mod for health
Backpack: Bonuses to health and burn resistance. Mod for weapons
Gloves: Bonuses to crit damage, crit chance, and LMG damage. Mod for crit damage
Holster: Bonus to crit chance. Mod for weapons and crit chance
The performance mods all increase the crit chance through the Impulsifier.
The Weapons and Skills
As primary and secondary weapons, two identical LMGs are used:
MG5 with +22% damage against targets out of cover and the talents Malicious (+10% crit chance if you have more than two health segments), Deadly (crit damage is increased by 15%), and Precise (precision is increased by 25%). You can see how good the Precise talent is on the MG5 here:
The reload time of the MG5 is over 5 seconds. However, thanks to the 4-set talent of Lone Wolf, you can always switch between the two identical weapons without having to reload even once. The weapon switch takes about a second – so your damage over time will improve significantly.
The MG5s are considered the best LMGs in PvP since Update 1.8, as they have the highest burst damage. The only downside is the long reload time, which you can avoid with Lone Wolf.
When choosing the mods, make sure to increase crit damage and crit chance. Additionally, you can improve precision and optimal range. Important: Do not choose an Extended Magazine, but a magazine that increases your fire rate. This way, you only need to switch the weapon to have a full magazine again, and the 6-set bonus of Lone Wolf will be triggered much more often.
The MG5 LMGs have a crit chance of +38% and a crit damage of +118% with the above armor pieces and their mods. This means that more than every third shot deals more than double damage.
The Skills:
Impulsifier with Hacker – Important for further increasing crit chance and crit damage
Support Station with Immunizer – Important for keeping you alive while you shoot
The Character Talents:
Emergency Medicine: Uses a first aid kit at low health to increase damage resistance by 20% for 10 seconds.
Field Medic: Use a first aid kit near allies to heal group members within 20 meters by 40%.
On the Move: Killing an enemy while moving reduces damage taken by 15% for 10 seconds.
Precision: A headshot triggers an Impulsifier effect for 10 seconds.
The Conclusion: This is undoubtedly one of the strongest PvP builds possible in 1.8. Have fun with it!
There is a new trailer for Monster Hunter World that celebrates and highlights the cat companions of the hunters. The video showcases the diversity of Palicos and how detailed they can be designed in the character editor.
Palicos are the loyal cat companions that actively support you in the hunt. They may be quite small and adorable, but they are full-fledged hunters and have a few clever tricks up their sleeves.
In the trailer, you get to see the variety of armors available for the cats. This ranges from the white, fluffy Paolumu armor to the red, scaly dino armor of Anjanath. In Monster Hunter World, you can craft armors and weapons from the creatures you slay – this also applies to your cat companion!

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) with the weapon handling from CS:GO? A dream for shooter fans that could soon become reality.
Since 2016, the developers of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive have regularly inserted new “Survival” data into the game. The community speculates about a Battle Royale mode, similar to the popular PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. But what is behind the rumors?
PUBG in CS:GO
The YouTube channel “Valve News Network” took the time to investigate a fan theory. It considered threads from forums and Reddit that date back to May 2016 and showcase survival possibilities.
That was still before the big boom of PUBG. At that time, game modes like the Battle Royale mode from DayZ already showed that a survival concept could bear fruit.
In various patches, CS:GO developers added lines for a “Survival_Island” map, unarmed melee options, drones, and medkits.
The patches that Valve News Network mentions in the video provide many contents for a possible survival mode in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Light and heavy armor, parachutes, supply crates, new grenades, night vision goggles, and adrenaline shots all hint at a cool Battle Royale mode. However, it has not been officially announced yet.

Whether CS:GO is really planning a Battle Royale mode or not is currently hard to say. A few lines of code are not a guarantee for such a mode.
However, it would not be surprising if Valve jumped on the PUBG bandwagon. The Battle Royale shooter already attracts millions of players in Early Access. Additionally, Valve is known for turning mods into functioning games. See Dota, Team Fortress, or Counter-Strike itself.
In Final Fantasy XIV (PC, PS4), Patch 4.2 is coming. It brings plenty of new content, but the players’ focus is on a small detail that might be huge.
About every three months, a content patch arrives for Final Fantasy XIV, and the content is usually the same:
Final Fantasy XIV receives new main quests, new side quests, a new dungeon, a hard mode for an existing dungeon, a new trial, and the raid continues. Plus PvP and other goodies.
Final Fantasy XIV – The content machine must be fed
Basically, all systems in Final Fantasy XIV move forward to the next step that players are waiting for. Final Fantasy XIV is a content machine that needs to be fed with new content; otherwise, it will run dry,
This will also happen with 4.2 “Rise of a new Sun”. The highlight here is a new 8-man raid: Omega Sigmascape. In the story, it takes you to Doma for the next chapter of the main quest.
This is all great, and fans of other MMORPGs are enviously looking at the constant content flow of Final Fantasy XIV, but it’s also a bit predictable and more of the same. Therefore, the focus on patches is mostly on the “little things” that subtly change the formula of Final Fantasy XIV.
Nightmare: Inventory
This patch, however, brings some “Quality-of-Life” improvements that are long awaited. Because a major issue with Final Fantasy XIV is the inventory.
Since you can play all classes in the game with the same character and also pursue all crafting professions, the inventory in Final Fantasy XIV is chronically clogged and too small for avid players. When you start collecting and crafting, it becomes a nightmare. The collector has the inventory also full of transmog items! A torture.
With Patch 4.2, Square Enix is taking some steps in the right direction:
The stack size of items is increased tenfold, from 99 to 999.
Additionally, chocobos will receive saddlebags, providing 70 new inventory slots
The new interface for bards
Two more “nice-to-have” changes:
The “Glamour System” is intended as a relief for fashion enthusiasts. A wardrobe will come to the inn room, allowing items to be exchanged for glamour prisms. This is supposed to simplify the “fashion game” of Final Fantasy XIV. According to the site USgamer: Although it’s still not as convenient as WoW’s transmog system, it’s a step in the right direction.
Bards are also getting some love: Square Enix is giving them a new interface for their newfound composing enthusiasm
When Patch 4.2 will exactly come to Final Fantasy XIV is still unknown. Probably in the first months of 2018. On January 19, more content will be revealed.

In Destiny 2 is Season 2 live, which comes with some new Iron Banner weapons. You will be able to earn these guns soon.
Since the launch of “Curse of Osiris”, it should actually only be possible for DLC owners to participate in the monthly Iron Banner event. That was Bungie’s original plan.
However, after a massive backlash regarding the “paywalls” of Curse of Osiris, the developers realized that they couldn’t take away so many activities from Guardians that were available to everyone before the DLC. Therefore, they are currently working on making endgame events like Iron Banner or the Faction Rally accessible to all players again. Only then will they take place in Season 2.
So even though we will have to wait a while for the first Iron Banner in Season 2, we can already take a look at the new Iron Banner rewards. They are already listed in the databases.
New Iron Banner Loot of Season 2 – Weapons, Ornaments, Emblem
Please note that while all Guardians can participate in the Iron Banner again, the new rewards from Season 2 will remain exclusive to DLC owners.

For 34.99€, for example, you can get a power bank with 20100mAh – This corresponds to seven charges for an iPhone 6s and five charges for a Galaxy S6. (Be careful if you want to take it on the plane. As our reader Peter points out, only power banks with a maximum of 20000mAh are allowed there. So, one should choose a smaller variant. Here’s the offer on Amazon.
With the Pokémon GO Plus, catching on the go becomes even easier. You can conveniently carry the gadget in your hand or as a pin and connect it via Bluetooth to your smartphone. Then, you just need to press the button on the GO Plus to catch a Pokémon or spin a stop.

The Free2Play action MMO Crossout (PC, PS4, Xbox One) from Gaijin Entertainment and Targem Games lets you experience action like in Mad Max. Build your own custom battle vehicles in the post-apocalypse and take down your enemies in PvP and PvE!
Are you a huge fan of movies like Mad Max: Fury Road, where crazy post-apocalyptic punks engage in high-octane death races with souped-up junk vehicles? And do you want to experience such action in an MMO that somewhat resembles the gameplay of War Thunder? Then Crossout could be your game!
The fast-paced action MMO from publisher Gaijin (War Thunder) and developer Targem Games has been available for free in open beta on PS4, Xbox One, and Steam since May 30, 2017, essentially in soft launch. But is the game worth it for you?
Wild battles with modified post-apocalyptic vehicles!
In Crossout, everything revolves around vehicles! You build your dream car from scrap parts and dive into the battle! Together with a team of 3 other players, you then hunt down the enemy team.
Alternatively, you can play the PvE mode and join friends on a mission against AI enemies.
The vehicle editor, a dream for tinkerers!
The big feature of Crossout is the wonderful editor. Unlike in games like World of Tanks or War Thunder, you don’t tinker with existing vehicles here. Instead, you build a unique vehicle from a pile of scrap.
Here, your imagination knows almost no limits. Just take a chassis, add a frame, attach wheels, tracks, hover engines, or even spider legs to the device, and mount some weapons. There is also a decent selection of war machines. These include machine guns, cannons, ramming spikes, chainsaws, shotguns, and even lasers and plasma cannons!
Especially cool: You can upload your best creations to a database where all players can view and test them. You can even download the blueprint and recreate or modify the vehicle! Provided you have the necessary parts.
Not every design makes sense!
However, you must pay attention while assembling and constructing to ensure that your design makes sense. A long vehicle with too few wheels can tip over quickly, and you may have overloaded your vehicle’s energy supply with too many weapons.
Furthermore, you cannot build everything right away. Many parts and upgrades must be unlocked first, and the associated resources can often only be obtained after a long grind. So, if you don’t like grinding, you might not have much fun with Crossout.
The buttons are equipped with so-called affiliate links. Signing up through one of these links gets us a small commission from the provider. For you, nothing will change.
Aim for the wheels!
Fortunately, the grind in Crossout is a lot of fun! Just as modular as the editor is the damage system of Crossout. This means that you can shoot off almost every part that your opponent has lovingly attached in the editor. You can literally “shoot your enemies to pieces!”
In the crucible of battle, it cruelly becomes evident whether your hopeful design from the editor can withstand the rigors of combat. Successful concepts will then outmatch poorly thought-out vehicles.
If you have too little armor in critical spots, your big cannon might quickly end up as scrap, and your bulky armored vehicle stands uselessly in the wasteland if you have well protected it with steel plates but mounted only inferior wheels.
Wild chases and fun shooting
The battles in Crossout resemble scenes from post-apocalyptic movies. Wildly cobbled-together vehicles roam everywhere, shooting and ramming each other to scrap. Unlike in War Thunder, you play here less tactically but more focused on action.
Cars are spinning wildly, and there’s constant gunfire somewhere. If you prefer action over leisurely strategizing, Crossout is the right game for you!
The game modes of Crossout – PvP or PvE?
Crossout offers various game modes. Some are PvP, while others are played cooperatively against AI.
PvP Mission: Here, two teams of 4 players fight for dominance. Either you need to capture the enemy base or take and hold neutral points. You play this mode against bots first and only face real people at higher levels.
PvE Raid: Here, you fight as a four-player team against hordes of bots. The goal is usually to collect resources or take points on the map. In a special form of raid, you fight against Leviathans. These are huge combat machines that you construct with sadistic enthusiasm in the editor and send out into the world for 24 hours. Other players can attack them there. The Leviathan is controlled by AI. If your creations are successful against other players, you receive rewards.
PvP Brawl: Here, there are special battles with unique rules. Among other things, there are deadly races. A different brawl is available every day, which is only online for specific times.
PvP Clan Battle: Here, teams of 4 clan members compete against each other. The winners earn points for their clan and higher ranks in the tournament leaderboard. At the end, there are big goodies for the winning clans.
Psycho-Punks or crazy scientists?
Later in the game, you can join a faction and fight in their name. This allows you to rise in rank and acquire special parts and resources that are not available anywhere else. The options are:
Lunatics: Crazy psychos with a penchant for alpha damage and speed
Nomads: These guys are agile all-rounders
Scavengers: Here you get strong armor and cannons
Steppe Wolves: In this military faction, there are mainly powerful weapons
Dawn’s Children: The crazy scientists of this faction offer futuristic items like lasers and hover engines
Firestarters: A crazy cult that simply loves to ignite everything and worships fire
The Free2Play model
Crossout offers a cash shop for microtransactions as a free-to-play game. You can buy in-game currency there, which you need in the game to purchase new items or trade them on the marketplace (auction house). In Crossout, you can even trade valuable items with each other.
You can even assemble tanks.
If you’re not interested in that, you can buy complete vehicles that are usually well put together. The parts used are of high quality and can be obtained in the game through hard grind. So, spending real money only saves time and does not automatically make you better than free-to-play players.
You will love Crossout if …
You are a huge fan of post-apocalyptic action movies like Mad Max!
You love fast and dynamic action with vehicles!
You enjoy strategically dismantling opponents
You have always wanted to build a completely exaggerated killer vehicle and unleash it on unsuspecting players!
Crossout is less your thing if …
You prefer leisurely tactical battles.
You want to clearly see how many hit points your vehicle and the enemy have left.
You don’t want to deal with long grind. Because it takes quite a while to earn resources and items.
You generally dislike dark and crazy post-apocalyptic scenarios.
Beginner tips to ease your start in the game
Always travel in groups at the beginning. This drastically increases your chances of survival!
Log in every day, even if you don’t want to play! Because Crossout rewards you with goodies every day.
Always complete your challenges and tasks. This way, you can quickly get better equipment.
Make sure you have enough fuel when you want to do PvE. Fuel is available every day or by taking fuel cans into your PvP battles.
And some more tips for vehicle construction
Plan ahead what you want to have later and do the corresponding missions and game modes. Otherwise, you may find that the last hours of grinding were for nothing!
Keep in mind that items are not ready immediately but are built in real-time. So, schedule large construction jobs for when you can best do them before going to sleep or during other longer offline periods.
If you can’t think of anything for your dream vehicle, take a look at the gallery of constructions uploaded by other players and let yourself be inspired.
You can test all vehicles in the database. This way, you can check in advance if you need a specific weapon or part or not.

Conclusion – If you love fast shooting in the post-apocalypse and enjoy crafting, you can’t go wrong here!
Crossout is likely to be an instant hit with fans of fun arcade action and post-apocalyptic films. The wild and exciting shootouts provide plenty of adrenaline. When your ultra-killer combat vehicle—constructed with great care—takes down enemies in droves, you can be really proud of yourself! Additionally, there’s a fun PvE mode and the cool Leviathans. Only the grind to get good gear can deter some players. If you don’t want to grind resources for a long time, you’ll have to reach for your wallet.

In Fortnite: Battle Royale, you can now purchase a Battle Pass that grants you access to cosmetic items and experience bonuses. Is it worth it? Or is it an attempt to squeeze money from customers?
Epic Games regularly expands Fortnite with new content. Just in time for Christmas, the second season starts in the fun multiplayer mode Battle Royale. Instead of the grenade launcher, you can now throw snowballs, the trees and bushes are festively decorated, and in the PvE mode, the zombies wear Christmas outfits while trying to get you.
The Battle Pass is supposed to change that. But can it work?
New Battle Pass offers hours of grind with dozens of rewards
With the new season 2, Epic introduces so-called “Tiers” that you can level up in addition to your normal level. You increase this Tier by raising your account level or completing the daily challenges.
The Battle Pass runs from December 14 to February 20.
This way, some rewards can already be unlocked. However, the Battle Pass offers much more, attracting players with various costumes, experience bonuses, and in-game currency VBucks.
The Battle Pass for Fortnite: Battle Royale
The Battle Pass costs 950 VBucks, which is about 10 euros. The twist is this: If you level up to the maximum value of 70, you get more VBucks back than you spent on the Battle Pass. Epic talks about rewards worth 12,000 VBucks.
The first reactions from the community are mostly positive. The items are purely cosmetic, the medieval-looking costumes are impressive, and the price of the Battle Pass is fair.
The originally sold costumes or skins for the axe were too expensive for many players (sometimes up to 20 euros), the Battle Pass is in this regard a step in the right direction.
75 to 150 hours are estimated to unlock everything
Concerns have been raised about the time needed to unlock everything from the Battle Pass. You need to log in regularly and at least complete the two daily challenges, which will guarantee a level up.
Fortnite claims that you need about 75 to 150 hours to unlock all rewards.
However, in combination with normal level-ups, it should be possible to unlock everything by the end of season 2 on February 20, 2018. You can also increase the level using VBucks, but that is very expensive (150 VBucks).

Battle Pass is just a special offer – likely to be more expensive in the future
The Battle Pass in its current form is merely a special offer. It is expected that this will become more expensive in future seasons. Many players on Reddit see this skeptically. Many believe that the current price is appropriate.
Robert says: The Battle Pass is a great thing for all players who want to support Epic and Fortnite while also working towards new items. The costumes and skins for the axe look stylish and make you want to earn them.
How the Battle Pass will be received in the medium to long term depends on Epic and its pricing strategy. Many players consider the current “Discount” price to be fair, but do not want to pay more.

Boon of the Dawning – If you use this consumable during a strike or Crucible match, all players will receive a gift at the end of the activity:
Gift – You can give a gift to any merchant daily that you first need to create yourself through a mini-quest. In return, there will be a gift for you:
A new ornament for the Workhorse – Go About Your Business:
This concept art already appeared in the past:
A new ornament for the Prometheus Lens – Prism:
A new ornament for the Wardcliff Coil – Dieselpunk:
In a trailer, the Wardcliff Coil was once seen with a different look. Presumably, it will wear this ornament here:
And a new ornament for the Graviton Lance – Carina Nebula: The first two items can clearly be associated with the Winter event “The Dawning.” Since the new Exotic ornaments are already in the databases, many users are sure that these will also come into the game with the Dawning.
That may not be the case. Because the symbol at the top left above each weapon differs from the Dawning symbol: What is that symbol?
Is the Crimson Week approaching?
Even the biggest Destiny experts will have to think for a moment to correctly assign this symbol. Because it has been almost two years since it was last seen. It is the symbol of the Crimson Week, which took place in February 2016: This is the Valentine’s Day event that was skipped in 2017 and will likely return in 2018 with Destiny 2.
During the Crimson Week in 2016, the Tower was decorated with numerous hearts and roses, new cosmetics were introduced into the game, and a unique PvP event took place.
During the Crimson Week, the Tower was completely draped in red
This PvP mode was called “Crimson Doubles,” where two “pairs” faced off against each other. You had to find your partner yourself, as there was no matchmaking for this.
The special feature of this mode was the modifier “Broken Heart”: If your partner dies, you are driven by vengeance, you glow red (see title image), can draw your weapon faster and recover faster from damage taken. This way, you might still turn the match around.
Interestingly: Recently, the Trials Report tweeted that they found lines of code in the latest update referring to new game modes. Namely Rumble, Clash, and Elimination. It is already known that Clash will return with the Dawning event. And “Crimson Doubles” is a type of Elimination. We will see if and when these PvP modes will come.

Valentine’s Day in 2018 is on February 14th. So one can expect the Crimson Week in Destiny 2 around mid-February. This is likely to be the first new Destiny 2 event starting in 2018.
Keep in mind that all this information is not official. Just because something is in the databases does not mean it will ever find its way into the game.

After a long wait, it is finally here. Friday the 13th the Game finally gets a single-player mode.
The horror slasher game Friday the 13th the Game has been out for quite a while, but the developers have not been able to fulfill one promise. Before the release, it was promised that the game would receive a single-player mode where you can also try your luck alone as a serial killer or camp resident and compete with (or against) bots.
With the upcoming patch, there are some major changes, but the most important one is probably the promised “Singleplayer” mode.
In the main menu, the mode “Offline Play” can be selected, followed by “Offline Bots”.
Currently, players will only be able to play as Jason against one to seven camp residents who come in three different difficulty levels. Depending on the difficulty, the camp residents defend themselves more, hide smarter, and venture out of hiding more quickly when the player moves on.
The mode is especially worthwhile for killers who want to get to know the different maps better or want to get the hang of things against bots before they dive into online battles.
In offline mode, it is currently not possible to play as a camp resident. Whether this will be added later is uncertain.
More Kill Animations for Jason
Additionally, the level cap in Friday the 13th will be raised to 150. The 50 new levels offer plenty of new unlocks, such as new, gruesome kill animations. For the camp residents, new outfits are coming so they can at least experience their last moments in style.
Last but not least, some holiday events are coming, because even serial killers and their victims like to celebrate Christmas:
From December 18 to December 23, the chance of unlocking a rare or epic perk will be increased.
From December 23 to December 27, the chance of finding audio recordings of Pamela and Jarvies will be increased.
From December 23 to January 2, all players will receive double CP and can unlock new things faster.
So far, the community is very satisfied in the official forums. Whether the patch can deliver what it promises, we will find out today – because today, on December 18, it is supposed to go live.
If you are fans of majestic ships and endless oceans, then the following online games are the right choice for you! We present to you six MMOs where sailing and ships are an important theme!
The endless sea, a proud ship, and a stiff breeze from behind, that’s all it takes to delight a salty sailor’s heart! But what to do if you can’t satisfy your maritime cravings in real life? Then you should check out the following nautical online games that are sure to please every ship fan!
ArcheAge
In the free-to-play sandbox MMORPG ArcheAge by Trion, sailing plays an important role. A vast ocean connects all landmasses. So if you want to maximize profits from trading, you must inevitably go to sea and sell your goods in distant lands.
The Ship as a Guild Project
But on the way, pirates and malicious players lurk, eager to rob and sink you. Therefore, large naval battles occur regularly. In these, you bombard each other with cannons and engage in boarding battles.
But before the great sailing and battle fun begins, a ship is needed. If you want more than just a small nutshell, you must join a guild. In teamwork, you build a dock where a proud ship is gradually created with contributions from various guild members.
With the Update “Maelstrom”, even more content for ship fans came into the game. In a combined PvE/PvP mode, you must slay a sea monster with a ship and four teammates as crew.

However, three other teams aim to do the same. Therefore, you fight against each other while trying to also kill the beast.

World of Warships
In the free-to-play game World of Warships by Wargaming, it’s all about warships. Here, no one is interested in trading or peacefully exploring the seas! Instead, massive battleships from around the time of the World Wars plow through the oceans and blow each other to bits with gigantic cannons!
Sink the Bismarck! Destroy the Yamato!
World of Warships is based on the gameplay of Wargaming’s top title World of Tanks. Instead of a tank, you steer a ship here. Your team fights against an equally strong opposing team, and whoever sinks all enemies first or secures the mission objectives wins.
As a reward, you receive in-game currency and experience points. With this, you upgrade your ships and eventually unlock better models. The ships are all based on real counterparts. Therefore, famous examples like the Bismarck, the Yamato, the HMS Hood, or the USS Missouri can be found.
Additionally, there are also quirky vessels that never existed in the war because the blueprints were never realized. So, for anyone who has always wanted to see the unbuilt heavy German battleship “Großer Kurfürst” in action, World of Warships delivers.
From Destroyers to Aircraft Carriers
In the game, you have the choice between nimble destroyers, all-round cruisers, heavy battleships, or aircraft carriers. Each ship type has different roles and tasks in battle.
Since the ships – unlike the tanks in World of Tanks – almost never stand still, the battles in World of Warships are always in motion. Also, most ships can withstand quite a bit and shoot at each other over long distances. This makes the gameplay of World of Warships both dynamic and tactical.

Black Desert Online
Black Desert Online by Pearl Abyss from Korea is a sandbox MMORPG in a fantasy world. A highlight of the game is the beautiful graphics and the extremely customizable character editor. Black Desert Online simply looks fantastic! This also applies to the magnificent marine areas introduced with the Margoria update.
Margoria – An Ocean Full of Possibilities
Black Desert Online is a fantasy MMO but also an economic simulation, where you, as a humble donkey driver, transport potatoes and become a trading magnate. Since the Margoria update, you can expand your business to the seas. In harbor towns, you acquire bases and send your goods across the sea for particularly high profits!
If you prefer to embark on sea voyages yourself, you can build a nice, large ship and set sail with other players. From galleys to sailing ships, anything is possible. With the ships, you can hunt sea monsters. Or you can raid other players as a pirate and plunder them. Guilds can also form fleets and engage in massive PvP naval battles.
High-Seas Fishermen and Deep-Sea Divers
At sea, you can also engage in the favorite pastime of all MMO players: fishing! The vast waters of Margoria are filled with curious and rare fish. If you prefer to search for treasures underwater, you can dive down and experience adventures beneath the waves.

War Thunder
The military MMO War Thunder from the Russian developer Gaijin Entertainment is known more for realistic aerial combat and tactical tank battles. However, there is now a closed beta test for a naval combat mode featuring ships from the World War II era. It sounds like World of Warships, but Gaijin takes a different approach.
The big difference from the competing product lies in the size of playable ships in War Thunder’s naval battles. While destroyers are the smallest ships in World of Warships, the “tin cans” in War Thunder represent the largest class of ships!
Other ships are significantly smaller and consist of sleek fast boats equipped with torpedoes, rockets, or flak weaponry. This design choice has a compelling reason. According to the developers, they want to keep the naval battles closely aligned with the atmosphere of land and air battles in the game. And both of them are quite dynamic and fast-paced.
Heavy battleships, on the other hand, would be sluggish and slow. It would be boring to trudge over the seas at snail’s pace, which wouldn’t be fun. Therefore, you zip around the water in War Thunder with fast boats, dodging fire, shooting down planes, and accurately directing torpedoes into the hulls of other ships.
The Airplane Must Come Along!
As usual in War Thunder, the ship mode cannot do without airplanes! The plane simply has to be there! If you have accumulated enough points in battle through hits, kills, and mission objectives, you can select a plane and perform daring aerial attacks on the enemy fleet.
Therefore, it’s always handy to have flak ships around. They quickly take out pesky aircraft. However, if you let the planes go unchecked, they can quickly bomb strong destroyers.

Worlds Adrift
The sandbox MMO Worlds Adrift by Bossa Studios is a somewhat different game with ships. Instead of sailing over the sea, the boats here fly through the skies! Therefore, the game is ideal for air pirates and fearless explorers with a penchant for steampunk aesthetics.
Grinding and Ship Building
In Worlds Adrift, the world consists of floating islands. These are mostly developed by players in a separate editor. So, there is seemingly an unlimited world full of possibilities. But if you want to leave your starting island, you must build an airship.
To do this, you grind for resources until you have enough experience to learn the corresponding blueprints. Then, you combine various parts in a free editor to ultimately create a ship. Your imagination only meets the limits of utility here. Because, of course, you can attach the main mast like a ram directly to the bow. However, you will never get a decent wind catch and get off the ground that way.
Your ship must indeed sail through the skies using sails that take advantage of the ever-changing winds. If you encounter headwind, you need to use advanced sailing techniques, such as tacking. Otherwise, you will barely move. Yet later on, modern engines like propellers or even jet engines will be possible.
The Ship as a Guild Base
Particularly impressive ships are created when guilds work together. The ship can then also be generously equipped with extras, such as cannons and other goodies.
The big test for your ship designs are powerful storm fronts. These deadly storms separate the beginner areas from regions for advanced players. With a flying nutshell, you won’t get far, and the relentless winds and lightning will quickly turn your vessel into burning wreckage.
Only those who can produce strong materials and technologies will get through here.

Sea of Thieves
All the previously mentioned games with ships were rather serious affairs. Sea of Thieves, on the other hand, is a fun pirate MMO with comic graphics from the studio Rare. They have been working on the game since 2015, where you can unleash your inner pirate!
A Seafaring Adventure that is Fun…
In Sea of Thieves, you play a scruffy pirate in a colorful island world. Your goal: To become the scruffiest pirate of all time! To achieve this, you sail across the seas, board ships, uncover treasures, sing hearty sea shanties, and drink your loot in taverns until your pirate avatar is ready to vomit. Totally pirate-like!
The pirate fun can be played solo but rocks even more as a team. In a team, you effectively man your pirate ship and take on honorable posts, such as the wheel, the cannons, or the job of the guy with a bucket who must throw the incoming water overboard!
Living Cannonballs and Hungry Sharks
Since Sea of Thieves doesn’t take itself very seriously, you can pull off some pretty silly antics. For example, it’s perfectly possible to launch yourself as a living projectile onto the deck of an enemy ship with a cannon. Or you go deep-sea diving and collect treasures underwater. However, there are wild sharks that like to gobble you (or your buddies) up.
To progress further, you earn reputation points through quests. However, the various quest-givers can be at odds with each other, so conflicts in your tasks may arise later.

Twitch has been the leading platform for streaming video games for years. If you want to know which games are currently trending or which ones you can quickly dive into, check out our Top 5 from last week!
The streaming platform Twitch has long been the go-to place for video game streaming. Thousands of streamers from all over the world go live every day with hundreds of streams from dozens of games.
Twitch offers the possibility to watch for free and optionally support streamers through donations or subscriptions. In return, there are usually special emotes that can be used in all chats, showing one’s belonging to the community.
For people who want to turn their hobby into a profession, the website Twitch is also a point of reference. Setting up an account and starting to stream is free. Only a portion of the earnings is withheld when streaming yourself.
Whether you want to watch or start streaming yourself: it’s always important to know what’s currently trending!
While there are always exceptional talents who can create a community out of nothing with certain games (or creative ideas), usually the most popular games are also the most successful for streamers.
The Top 5 is based on data from the past 7 days. Only streams in German were considered. The order is derived from the average number of viewers. Monitoring was done with the site sullygnome on December 17, 2017 at 9 AM.
World of Warcraft is an evergreen in the gaming scene. Since its release in 2005, the fantasy MMORPG has always been present and continues to attract and retain many players. In WoW, you create your own character, join the Horde or Alliance, and embark on adventures in Azeroth.
The current content of WoW: Legion is in its final phase. The last raid, Antorus, the Burning Throne, is accessible and has already been overcome by the first guilds on the highest difficulty level.
The provisional final boss of WoW: Legion: Argus, the Unmaker.
What makes WoW stand out is the unique world, borrowing elements from well-known universes and creating something unique. The community keeps the game alive, and especially with a group of friends, you can experience and achieve a lot.
Inspired by early trading card games like Magic: The Gathering or the Warcraft TCG, Blizzard brought card games to PC. With nine different classes, you can compete against other players in various modes or embark on PvE adventures.
The system of Hearthstone is very simple: you buy or earn card packs that contain five cards of different rarities. Additionally, there is a starter set when you begin with Hearthstone. These cards make up your collection.
From this collection, you create decks of 30 cards and try to win with them. Like in every card game, experience is essential, but luck is also a factor.
Recently, the free expansion “Kobolds and Catacombs” was released. New cards and an endless PvE mode, the Dungeon Run, are now available in the game. With the new cards, the meta has to adjust – a good time to get started!
PUBG is a pioneer of its genre. It emerged from ideas of battle royale game modes that existed as mods for older shooters. It has now broken the record for the most concurrent players on Steam, previously held by Dota 2.
In PUBG, you jump out of a plane with all other players to parachute onto a small Eastern European island. Once there, you collect weapons and equipment to survive in the ever-shrinking playing field and be the last one standing.
Every round starts anew. So you have to start fresh for each game, fighting half-naked across the island and searching for equipment before someone stronger finds you. There are solo and squad games.
League of Legends, or LoL, is a cornerstone of modern online gaming and esports. This MOBA is free-to-play, one of the reasons for its massive success. With millions of dollars in prize money across dozens of tournaments each year, there’s a strong incentive for players to become LoL professionals.
LoL is based, like the entire MOBA genre, on the “Defense Of The Ancients” mod (short DOTA) for Warcraft 3. You choose a hero and then play with 4 allies against 5 enemies on a map. It is divided into 3 lanes and a jungle.
On each lane, waves of NPC enemies regularly appear that you must destroy to gain experience and gold. The aim is to collect abilities and equipment to destroy the opposing Nexus and win the game.
In LoL, in addition to this standard mode (Summoner’s Rift), there are several others:
Twisted Treeline: 3 against 3 on a smaller map with 2 lanes.
Howling Abyss (All Random All Mid, or ARAM): one lane, random heroes, no option to return to base without dying.
Temporary game modes that switch every weekend.
League of Legends is the most-watched game on Twitch worldwide. However, in Germany, it was surpassed this week.
GTA 5 is the latest installment of the successful “Grand Theft Auto” series, which has been captivating players worldwide for years. Although the players are mainly single-player, there are multiplayer options that function online in GTA 5. One of the reasons for the success on Twitch.
In GTA, you typically play a petty criminal who occasionally commits various crimes to earn some pocket money. With quirky characters and a healthy dose of humor, the story captivates many players.
Those who don’t play by the rules will be arrested!
The real reason for the popularity on Twitch, however, is that fans have set up a role-play server: GTAlife. This mod is an open-world role-playing mod similar to what ARMA 3 offered.
In this role-playing mod, you can create a character, give it a background, and bring it to life. You play its role by lending your voice and interacting with other people.
The majority of other characters are also players – every action has consequences. The art of role-playing is to embody the role well and play convincingly. You should avoid unfair play, like overpowered characters or senseless shooting. After all, it’s all about having fun!
The guards in World of Warcraft are apparently passionate moviegoers. With the launch of the new “Star Wars” film, they are sporting lightsabers. Here’s how you can get the skins.
A few days ago, the latest episode of Star Wars was released. While millions of moviegoers have already seen “The Last Jedi”, there seems to be a group of big fans who likely do not have this privilege: the guards in World of Warcraft.
However, this is hardly surprising, as they have a 24/7 job and thus hardly have time to visit an Azerothian cinema. They nonetheless show their love for Star Wars, as they are currently wielding lightsabers!
The Alliance guards (in Stormwind) carry blue lightsabers, while the orcish grunts (in Orgrimmar) have chosen red lightsabers.
This seems to be an homage to the “Star Wars” franchise, which suggests that there are indeed some fans at Blizzard who have been eagerly awaiting the latest installment.
Lightsabers as Transmogrification in WoW
If players want to carry a blue lightsaber themselves, that is also possible! Suitable transmogrifications can be found from Mennu the Betrayer in the Slave Pens. There, the Spellfire Longsword drops – a one-handed, blue lightsaber with a 16% drop chance.
If you prefer red like a Sith, you should try to secure a Blade of Sorcery. This can occasionally be found in the auction house for prices in the six-figure range. The red “lightsaber” is a rare drop from The Burning Crusade and drops very rarely in all kinds of raids and dungeons. So, anyone wanting to farm it needs stamina.
Have you already equipped your character like a Jedi or a Sith? Or do you think that doesn’t belong in Azeroth?
The new Prime version of Warframe Mirage is now available in the online shooter. Here you will learn which relics you need to crack to obtain Mirage Prime for free. Where can you best farm the relics for Mirage Prime?
In the Free2Play game Warframe, it is possible to acquire new frames for free. For the slightly stronger Prime frames, you need to collect and open Void Relics. The illusionist Mirage has recently had a Prime version that makes her look like a harlequin.
more about Void Relics (If you are already familiar with Warframe, you can scroll past this section.)
which relics you need for Mirage Prime and
where you can find the relics for Mirage Prime
The components for Prime frames are found in Void Relics
Every Warframe can be completely purchased for the premium currency Platinum from the market. However, it is also possible to build the different frames for free.
To do this, you need to collect the individual parts of the Warframes and assemble them in the Orbiter’s Foundry. You can obtain the components from missions, buy them in the market for credits, or trade them with other players.
Every Warframe must be assembled from these parts:
Blueprint
Neuroptics
Chassis
Systems
Orokin Cell
The components for the special Prime frames are found in Void Relics. To obtain Mirage Prime, you will need to approach things differently than with normal Warframes.
The relics function like small treasure chests from which you can obtain special Prime components and Forma blueprints. Anyone wishing to open such a relic must participate in Void Fissure missions. The star map always shows where Void Fissure missions are currently taking place and which relics you can bring there.
There are different relics that also contain various rewards. In a Void Fissure mission, each player in the group can equip a relic to crack it. At the end of the mission, you may choose one item from the opened relic. You can also take one item from another player’s relic. The more players in the group who have and open a relic, the greater the selection of rewards for each individual.
Several items are contained in the relics and you have no guarantee that the component of the desired Prime frame is included. It may be that you have to crack a specific relic multiple times to obtain all the components for Mirage Prime.
These Void Relics you need for Mirage Prime
In the following relics, you will find the parts to build Mirage Prime:
Here you will find the Void Relics: Lith, Meso & Neo
To obtain enough Void Relics for Mirage Prime, you will probably need to farm for a few rounds. However, the relics for Mirage Prime are still quite quick and easy to obtain. Even beginners should have little trouble collecting and opening relics from the categories Lith, Meso, and Neo.
These missions are suitable for farming the relics for Mirage Prime:
Lith: Earth – Everest – Excavation: For Lith relics, the Everest mission on Earth is recommended. This is an Excavation mission type. Various artifacts are buried within the planet and must be extracted by players with large drillers. Among the artifacts, there is also the Lith S7 relic. It is advisable to undertake excavations with a group of 4 players. If the coordination is right, you can even run multiple drillers.
Meso: Jupiter – Io – Defense: For Meso relics, the Io mission on Jupiter is recommended. During a defense, you must protect a cryopod or energy core from enemies. You need to defeat a total of 5 waves to complete the mission. Afterwards, you can either leave the mission or fight against another 5 waves of tougher enemies. You can repeat this multiple times. The first two rounds of the Io mission have a high chance of awarding Meso relics. So it’s best to stop after the second round and start the mission again. Suitable for defenses are Warframes that deal a lot of damage at high range. Ember would be a good choice.
Neo: Sedna – Hydro – Defense: For Neo relics, the Hydro mission on Sedna is recommended. This is also a defense mission and Warframes with high “Area of Effect” damage are practical here.
You will repeat these missions as often as necessary until you have all the Void Relics for Mirage Prime. In which Void Fissure missions you can then crack the relics, you will see on your star map.
You can also purchase Mirage Prime directly for real money. The Prime illusionist is available in the Prime Access as a bundle with the new Prime weapons “Kogake Prime” and “Akbolto Prime”, as well as unique cosmetics.
The Cash Shop in Destiny 2 is increasingly coming under fire. What issues do the Guardians have with Tess Everis and her Eververse?
It feels a bit like “Groundhog Day” when criticizing Destiny 2. The weaknesses of the game are known, and initial countermeasures are already underway. The newest raid, the masterwork weapons, and the armor ornaments are steps in the right direction.
Nevertheless, many players struggle with Destiny 2. An innocently appearing white-haired woman is at the center of criticism: Tess Everis. A YouTuber is even calling for: Kill Tess!
“Hello, do you have a new hairstyle for me! 12,000 Silver?! Damn, then I’ll keep the old one!”
The three major problems with the Cash Shop of Destiny 2
But what is the problem with Tess in Destiny 2? She doesn’t sell anything you really need? So why does Tess annoy so many Destiny 2 fans?
Let’s take a look:
Wrong focus of development
Basically, many are disturbed by how prominent the Cash Shop is in Destiny 2 and what that says about Destiny 2.
The YouTuber BriarRabbit complains: “This shows that the bean counters are in charge!”
The growing presence of Tess is a sign that fun and gameplay are not the focus, but rather the economic interests of Bungie and Activision are always palpable.
BriarRabbit mentions that Bungie is using the same methods as drug dealers and Free2Play games in a $60 game: At the beginning, there are plenty of loot boxes, but then the storm dries up. The temptation to sell them for real money increases.

Our Destiny expert Robert is annoyed that the vault is chaotic, yet the Cash Shop is so well organized and looks good. For him, this shows that Bungie has set the wrong priorities.
When Bungie had its first public opportunity at TwitchCon to respond to criticism about the launch, they let it slide and preferred to present the new, great items for the winter season for an hour: Most of which are tied to the Cash Shop.
By having to run to Tess with the glimmer engram with every level-up to open the loot box, the Cash Shop is constantly present for players – appearing much more in the foreground than in Destiny 1.
One point where this is clear is the one-use shaders. A system that worked wonderfully in Destiny 1 and that no one complained about has been revamped for Destiny 2 to give the Cash Shop more substance and meaning. Nobody understood this change.
Actually, the Cash Shop was sold to us differently
The Eververse was introduced in October 2015 to finance additional content after Bungie suspended paid DLCs. We are paying for the live team that then delivers you new events and features. That was the justification for the Cash Shop.
Shortly thereafter, there was free Sparrow Racing – in spring 2016 then “The Taken Spring,” a free content update.
In Destiny 2, the Cash Shop has become significantly more present than in Destiny 1, but no extra content has appeared that the Cash Shop would have financed. In the months from release to the first DLC, no bonus content has been released at all.
And even if extra content had appeared in recent months: The further development is now financed through paid DLCs. Thus, the Cash Shop no longer has a basis for existence in Destiny 2. It was marketed to the Guardians in a completely different way than it is now clearly being used.
That consumers allow themselves to be treated this way is, for the Redditor, a scandal where the developers are relying on the indifference of consumers.
Additionally, in Destiny 2, items from Season 1 are disappearing without a trace – the pressure to buy the item before the season changes is thereby high. In Destiny 1, the “expired emotes” were later available for free in the world. What has become of that?
The progress that belongs in the game is in the Cash Shop, and everything is random!
The biggest difficulty of the Cash Shop is addressed by YouTuber Skill-Up in his review of Curse of Osiris.
Destiny 2 is a loot grinder, and the most important thing in a loot grinder is the loot. But you can’t get to it.
With the update and the new season, over 100 cosmetic items came into the game’s Cash Shop. These are the rewards that Guardians want: cool emotes, skins for ghosts, sparrows, ships, and shaders.
But there is no way to work towards any of these items intentionally. Bungie only allows for EXP farming, thus collecting loot boxes, and then you have to cross your fingers to get the item you want.
Skill Up encourages players: Imagine a world where there is no Cash Shop, and all items found there could be earned intentionally in Destiny 2.

The Cash Shop in Destiny 2 is not Pay2Win, finds innovative ways to annoy
The problems with the Cash Shop of Destiny 2 are profound. It’s not about selling things that you absolutely need because they are leaning towards “Pay2Win”.
The problem with the Cash Shop is that it has taken the place of a satisfying endgame that so many gamers miss in Destiny 2.
Some are already talking about “Spendgame” instead of “Endgame.”
In Destiny 1, Tess was a woman who sold us emotes so we could race sparrows without paying for a DLC.
In Destiny 2, she seems to be the star of the game around whom everything revolves and the only way to cool loot.
No wonder some hope that Bungie will eventually allow her to be taken down.
Eververse stuff for Destiny 2 in real life can be found here:

Inventory management and refinement will be optimized, making everything faster and easier
The new “Patronage Seals” allow you to make faster progress in campaigns with additional characters on your account. However, these must have already been completed with your main character
You will experience all this and more on January 9, when Swords of Chult is released for the console versions of the MMORPG Neverwinter.
Anyone who wants to tackle the endgame in WoW will inevitably find themselves in mythic raids or in Mythic+ dungeons. These Mythic+ dungeons have now received adjustments on the PTR that make them significantly harder.
What are Mythic+ dungeons?
The highest difficulty for a regular dungeon in WoW: Legion is currently mythic. However, those seeking even greater challenges can complete dungeons at the “Mythic+” difficulty level.
In this mode, the dungeon is upgraded with a keystone. The enemies get stronger with each level, gain special properties (affixes), and the dungeon must be completed within a certain time. In return, significantly better rewards are also available.
Mythic+ dungeons are among the greatest challenges in World of Warcraft. This is partly because their difficulty has no upper limit.
Mythic+ gets harder – thanks to changes in combat resurrection
Usually, having a good combination of classes that match the affixes is key to successful runs. In particular, classes that can provide control effects or support are highly sought after. Here, especially classes that can resurrect in combat are in high demand.
Combat resurrections (Combat Resurrection, short CR or BR) could be used by any class on their respective cooldown. A change has now appeared on the PTR that makes tackling these dungeons significantly more complicated.
With the latest change, the cooldown for the ability of each class is now 18 minutes and shares cooldown with all other classes in the group – just like in raids. The following spells are affected:
Revive Allies (Death Knight)
Rebirth (Druid)
Soulstone (Warlock)
Revitalizing Dust (Hunter Pet – Moth)
Everwatcher (Hunter Pet – Qilin)
Gift of Chi-Ji (Hunter Pet – Crane)
The changes in detail
To compensate for the longer cooldown, these abilities now have stacks. Up to 5 stacks can be accumulated, requiring a total time of 72 minutes. However, these can theoretically also be used in a fight by one character.
For groups, this means that only one (or two) classes with this ability are needed. The resource of combat resurrection becomes significantly more valuable, so it should only be used in emergencies – such as during the tank’s death.
The duration is based on the formula for raids (90 minutes divided by the number of group members). 18 minutes seems a bit long for a dungeon, which is why the time might still be adjusted. It is also unclear whether the shaman’s reincarnation or his Ancestral Protection Totem will be considered.
Benedict says: An interesting change that makes the dungeons harder but also provides many new possibilities for class combinations. I’m curious to see how this affects competition and what the final changes will look like.

We had the opportunity to conduct an interview about the upcoming hardcore online shooter Escape from Tarkov (PC) and learned some interesting things.
Nikita Buyanov COO and project lead at the Russian development studio Battlestate Games talked to us primarily about the skill and experience system of the online shooter. The conversation also revolved around the idea behind Escape from Tarkov and the reason why the team chose not to adopt a free-to-play model.
Skills and EXP but not like in an MMORPG
Mein-MMO.de: Escape from Tarkov is a very complex game. Would you rather call it an online shooter or an MMORPG shooter?
Nikita Buyanov: Neither, if we had to choose between these two definitions. Although we have many MMO and RPG elements and are technically also a shooter, the most fitting definition is “Online Combat Simulator.” The best example of an MMORPG shooter is The Division: there are RPG elements and combat. Our game cannot be compared to that. Our players are meant to live the game and not play a role, and – just like in real life – they should not just shoot but think, learn, and adapt.
Mein-MMO.de:Players get the opportunity to customize their characters, for example, through skills. How does the skill tree work? Do you buy new skills with EXP or skill points, or does a player get better by frequently using abilities?
Nikita Buyanov:Players train their skills by using them. Each unlocked skill level brings new perks/abilities. This leads to an elite perk at the top. Additionally, a player gets better in the game with each level up – but not too much. There is nothing that goes beyond human capabilities.
Mein-MMO.de:How does the game calculate EXP? What actions give a player EXP?
Nikita Buyanov:Every action in the game earns EXP. Even if the player is killed during a raid. Then they still receive a small amount of experience points. However, most EXP is gained by carefully and successfully leaving an area. Other actions like taking out enemies, looting, discovering new places, getting severely wounded, unlocking doors, headshots, healing, eating, discovering secrets, and much more also provide experience. The EXP is multiplied by one’s status in the raid, meaning whether they survived, are “Missing in Action,” deserted, or were killed.
Mein-MMO.de:How do EXP and skills interact to keep the game interesting? For example, do you always receive the same EXP for killing enemies, or does it become increasingly difficult to improve as a skill is raised? Do harder-to-defeat enemies also grant more EXP?
Nikita Buyanov:Players will need more and more EXP to reach the next level. However, the number of experience points awarded per level will remain the same.
Fight or Sneak? It Depends on the Situation
Mein-MMO.de:Is it possible to progress faster if you choose to sneak, or does fighting get you further?
Nikita Buyanov:Direct combat, ambushes, sneaking, all these things can be advantageous in certain situations. But only in certain situations and not throughout the entire game.
Mein-MMO.de:What endgame content will you offer high-level players, and how difficult is it to reach the highest level in Escape from Tarkov?
Nikita Buyanov:The game is still under development, so the endgame content has not been finalized yet. However, we plan to introduce clans and add more quests. Additionally, there will be large DLCs. Reaching the maximum level will not be particularly difficult, as it is not crucial for escaping Tarkov. It’s not just about running from A to B. It’s also not just about fighting. You must also trade, exchange information, complete quests, look for different exits from an area, find specific items, and much more.
Reaching the maximum level will not be even half as hard as finishing the game.
Mein-MMO.de: What types of skills can I learn, and how will these affect the gameplay?
Nikita Buyanov: There are five types of skills: Physical, Mental, Combat, Practical and Special (meaning faction-specific skills). These types encompass a lot, much more than can be listed now. This includes, for example, how to handle certain weapon types, lockpicking, using explosives, medical supplies, adapting armor, and more. As mentioned, skills grant perks that make life a bit easier – but not too much, only within a certain framework.
Mein-MMO.de: Is it possible to lose a skill if you don’t use it often enough?
Nikita Buyanov:There are two skills that allow you to retain what you’ve learned longer (at maximum level, you can keep skills forever) – Memory and Metabolism. If you train these skills, you can retain a learned level of a skill for a longer time. You forget more slowly. However, it is generally the case that you forget how to handle skills if you don’t play the game for an extended period. You don’t completely forget the skills, but to a certain degree. When you start playing again and continue training, you learn a bit faster than the first time.
The Player’s Reaction is Always More Important than the Skills
Mein-MMO.de:Are the skills more important in combat, or is the player’s reaction time?
Nikita Buyanov:Skills provide a certain degree of “support” for actions; they make life a little easier, but they are not groundbreaking. These are not traditional MMO skills that you unlock and then use, like casting a new spell. You need to have theoretical knowledge, practice, and think quickly, but physical reactions are also important. Perks do not allow you to do anything unrealistic, like spotting all enemies in the vicinity.
Skills can, for example, reduce weapon recoil or slightly decrease the time it takes to loot. There is nothing that could even be considered “overpowered.” However, in tactical situations, fractions of a second or even the slightest advantage can decide life and death.
Mein-MMO.de: Can newcomers compete with veterans? Is there a system to bring me up to the level of a veteran when I join a group, or do I have to prove myself in the game first?
Nikita Buyanov:Of course, battles against veterans are harder because they simply know the game better and have their tools and tactics. But as can be seen from the skills, there is nothing in terms of balancing that prevents a newcomer from defeating a veteran with a cool head and the right technique. During the beta test, players of all levels play together and survive and level up together.
Later, we might offer some entry servers – even though this doesn’t really fit the game’s concept. However, these servers will not be a playground or a walk in the park. These servers will offer a “hardcore” experience as well. Because those who want to play Escape from Tarkov have to be ready to put in real effort.
Mein-MMO.de:Many major online games no longer use closed beta testing; they launch directly with an open beta that then leads to a soft launch. Why did you decide to conduct several smaller betas instead of one large one, and what were the experiences with that?
Nikita Buyanov: As perhaps known, we have no publisher. Essentially, we are an indie game, despite the size of the studio and the project. In the beginning, we had no experience developing AAA games, and no one knew how the game would perform in a certain phase and under a certain load – we had to slowly learn all of that. All these tests were necessary to gather valuable experience, identify errors, and show us what we could have done better. I’m not talking about bug fixes here but about significant weaknesses in the project.
Every testing phase has brought us forward a bit. And that is simply important when creating a new game with a new engine.
Free2Play? – No Thanks
Mein-MMO.de: Why didn’t you go for the free-to-play model with Escape From Tarkov?
Nikita Buyanov: To be completely honest, we are fed up with that. Many people on our team have previously worked on free-to-play games. I have simply had enough. I don’t like all these tricks in games that are designed to generate as much money as possible. I don’t want that in our game. Neither pay-to-win stuff nor any cosmetic items. Even though we have been advised to do so. It just doesn’t fit the concept, and we are not interested in it and dislike the entire system.
Mein-MMO.de: The weapon modding in Escape From Tarkov is extremely complex. What were your goals when developing the concept for it?
Nikita Buyanov:The main goal was to make customization as realistic as possible. This applies to every “realistic” game – look at how it works in real life and then replicate it in the game. And that’s exactly what we did. Every feature we introduce aims to bring the real-world system a bit closer. This should not only lead to players getting cool weapons but also to effective and personalized combat tools. It is simply important that we stay as close to reality as possible. In the military, soldiers customize their weapons to the point where they feel like an extension of their body.
Mein-MMO.de: What inspired you to create Escape From Tarkov?
Nikita Buyanov:The story behind Escape from Tarkov and the world of “Russia 2028” goes back over ten years. Since then, many things have influenced us – artworks, games, books, movies – but you cannot pick just one of them. We simply wanted to create a “realistic” hardcore game set in a modern Russian scenario. We didn’t want to take something that already existed and make something similar or quickly jump on some hype train to make quick cash – that didn’t appeal to us. All ideas for the game come solely from us.
Mein-MMO.de: Thank you for the interview.

The Elder Scrolls Online (PC, PS4, Xbox One) offers you something very special in December! If you are ready to really dig deep into your wallet, you can acquire an epic estate.
The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) has had a significant housing feature since early 2017 with the Homestead update. There you can acquire a multitude of houses and furnish them with purchased or self-built furniture and decorations. The available homes range from a shabby room in an inn to magnificent villas and hidden treasure caves.
However, the most extravagant and expensive house to date is available in December for a limited time in the Crown Store!
A huge Orc estate in the mountains!
The “Summit of the Outcast” doesn’t initially sound like a pleasant place. However, it is the massive estate of the long-gone Orc lord Baloth Bloodtide. Since Orcs in The Elder Scrolls Online love impressive grandeur, the estate is truly gigantic.
It encompasses an entire mountainside and contains huge halls, a gallery with a wonderful view, and majestic waterfalls. See for yourself in the video here:

According to some players, the place is as large as a small adventure instance in ESO and simply fantastic. However, the price is rather nightmarish! As is usual in ESO for such premium houses, the place is only available for crowns, the real money currency of ESO. There are two offers:
The Summit of the Outcast without furniture: 13,000 crowns = 78.9 euros
The Summit of the Outcast with furniture: 16,250 crowns = 104.97 euros
So if you want to live like a true Orc king, you need to shell out some serious cash! If you still want to, you should quickly scrape together the necessary funds, as the offer ends on January 2, 2018! However, you can preview the “house” for free via the preview feature in the Crown Store.
Live like a true Orc!
As an alternative, you can acquire the furniture and decoration pack “Malacath’s Chosen.” In this pack, you have typical Orcish furniture like a massive stone throne, a sturdy table that can withstand heavy blows from beer mugs, and a sturdy bed where you can sleep off your drunkenness.
The Orc furniture from the pack costs 4,000 crowns. This is approximately 25 euros. This pack is also only available until January 2, 2018.
The new DLC expansion “Clockwork City” allows you to delve into the depths of the steampunk world of the Clockwork City!
