The latest Overwatch hero Brigitte has been on the PTR for a while. But when will she be released? Jeff Kaplan comments on this.
The Overwatch player base is eagerly waiting for Blizzard to release the next patch. Because update 1.21 is not only supposed to bring balance changes but also promises to finally implement the newest hero Brigitte into the game.
Brigitte is Torbjörn’s daughter, but she has picked up some tricks from Reinhardt. She enters the fight as a support character, able to protect herself with a shield or hit opponents to stun them. With her flail, she can whack enemies up close but can also deal damage at medium range. Oh yes – she also heals while dealing damage.
The PTR for patch 1.21 is now shut down. The community is asking: When will Brigitte be released? In a few days?
Jeff Kaplan, the game director of Overwatch, commented on this in the forums and explained:
“The tests were fantastic. You were all a great help. [Her release] is probably not this week, but she looks very good. Almost ready.”
Even though this is not a concrete promise, most fans likely take this as confirmation that Brigitte will be released next week – probably on the evening of March 20, 2018.
If that is indeed the case, we will of course report on it.

The fleet of War Thunder has been expanded with several main battle tanks from the 1970s and 1980s at rank VI. The USA receives the famous M1 Abrams, Germany the Leopard 2K, Great Britain the Challenger 1, the Soviet Union the T-64B, and France the AMX-30B2 Brenus.
All have powerful armaments and armor, high speed, and excellent mobility. Particularly noteworthy are the T-64B, which can fire guided ‘Cobra’ missiles from its main gun, and the AMX-30B2 Brenus, which features multi-layer reactive armor.

Since today, the Global Event Onslaught is live on the PTS for The Division, while “Attack” has launched on the live servers. In addition to the Ansel support, the new State of the Game discussed bug fixes. We also now know how many hardcore players The Division has. It’s quite a few.
Today, the State of the Game was aired on March 15. After the big announcements from March 8, Massive took a more relaxed approach. The main topic was the current test servers running on PC, where the new Global Event “Onslaught” has started. The new event Blackout was tested beforehand.
Information about the new Global Events
The modifiers for Blackout:
Blackout (Always active): Players receive shock ammunition, which can stun your enemies. By running or shooting, you fill a charge indicator. You deal more damage the higher the charge is.
Extreme Blackout (In addition to Blackout): Enemies can be killed in melee by overload. If you miss the target, or your charge exceeds 100%, players and allies get stunned.
Total Blackout (In addition to Blackout and Extreme Blackout): Your charge indicator empties faster when near team members.
The modifiers for Onslaught:
Onslaught (Always active): In addition to your damage, you inflict “On Fire”, “Bleeding Wound”, and “Gassed” effects, which you can change by reloading.
Wild Onslaught (In addition to Onslaught): Certain effect types deal more damage to your enemies, while they are resistant to others. Resistant enemies deal more damage.
Brutal Onslaught (In addition to Onslaught and Wild Onslaught): By reloading, you can gain a damage bonus to a magazine if your team members kill a vulnerable enemy within two seconds.
Note: Rewards and gear sets for both events are still unknown.
Additionally, a few annoying bugs have been fixed:
Grand Central Station: Some players were unable to complete the mission on the new legendary difficulty. This should no longer occur.
Exotic Containers: Players complained that they were still able to pull exotic weapons from containers that should otherwise be found in the special equipment vendor’s offerings. This was unintentional and has been changed.
Additionally, commendations that were associated with the leaderboards have been removed. These could only be unlocked at certain placements on the rankings, but they will not make it into the game.
Ansel support in June
Alongside the upcoming patch, Nvidia’s screenshot tool, Ansel, was also tested. This was supposed to be part of patch 1.8.1, but is now expected to arrive in June. Ansel offers an in-game camera that allows you to take various shots.
118,000 players with more than 1000 play hours in The Division
Lastly, there was another edition of Stats with Yannick. After celebrating 20 million players and about 500,000 who spent over 400 hours in The Division, Yannick has more data for us:

As a result, Linda Scholz, together with Spieleratgeber NRW, has written a statement regarding this questionable reporting by ProSieben.
“Even if in Fortnite: Battle Royale, gun violence is the only means of conflict resolution, it is a very fictional setting without detailed depictions of violence. […] Although realistic weapon names are used, the cartoon-style graphics give it a fictional appearance.” We have given the game a pedagogical recommendation from age 14 after editorial deliberation. This is a guideline for parents who can, of course, allow their children to play the game earlier. We always welcome a discussion regarding our recommendations, but we ask for a respectful and appropriate tone, which was unfortunately missing in the discussion about the television report.
Furthermore, it states “For this reason, we distance ourselves from the context of the report ‘wanting to warn parents’ or ‘raising the alarm’ . Parents can only fulfill their educational responsibility if they can rely on various information sources.”

In Black Desert Online (PC) there is finally “Rabam’s Enlightenment”. With this, you can combine two skills into a new, more powerful skill. Moreover, all 15 classes in the game immediately receive this feature.
In Black Desert Online, from level 56, you can obtain a significantly better Awakening weapon. After that, many of your old skills and the previous weapon are hardly used. 4.5 Comes to ArcheAge on April 5th

Now we know who will replace Rayquaza as a legendary monster in Pokémon GO: Lugia is returning as a raid boss!
Trainers, we have long pondered which legendary monster Niantic will release after Rayquaza. The developers delayed the announcement for quite some time and are now revealing which legendary boss you can battle next in Pokémon GO.
To the surprise of many players, it will not be a new Pokémon from the third generation, but the old, familiar opponent: Lugia.
Lugia with Sky Attack
You can currently find Rayquaza as a legendary opponent in Pokémon GO. Starting March 16, this monster will be replaced by Lugia, which can then be challenged in level 5 raids. We expect the changes to be made around 10:00 PM and that the new raids will be available in Pokémon GO from March 17.
Lugia is a “familiar face” for many trainers, as this monster has previously been available as a legendary boss in Pokémon GO. However, something has changed this time: the “new” Lugia can perform the “improved Sky Attack.” This is a flying attack that we previously didn’t know had been enhanced.
The community is already speculating about how this new attack will feel in the game. However, since Niantic did not clarify what exactly has changed about Sky Attack, there are currently only speculations.

Ark: Survival Evolved has been successful on PC since its release through early access on Steam. Later, the dino game was released for Xbox One and PS4, reaching a total of 13 million players across all platforms.

In The Elder Scrolls Online there are new Crown crates with particularly dark mounts. If you have always wanted to ride a grim camel, a wolf wearing an executioner’s mask, or a black sabretooth tiger, now is your chance. And there’s also a nasty pig as a pet!
In The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) there are so-called “Crown Crates”. In them, you will find various items. Most of the time, they are rather moderately useful things like boosters and gifts. However, occasionally, you pull a nice armor, a quirky pet, or even an epic mount out of the box.
The contents of the crates always have a seasonal theme that runs for a few months. Recently, it was about flame beings. Starting from March 15, 2018, at 4:00 PM, a new theme for the crates will launch.
Crown Crates of the Scalebearer
The “Scalebearer” is a resurrected dragon priestess who has fallen from her dragon faith since her first death and has devoted herself to the Daedric Prince of Plagues. The corrupted priestess and her disgusting cult are the enemies in the new dungeon “Summit of the Stormbringer”.
Many other creatures and items have likely emerged from her dark lair, which the clever Khajiit Pakruti has packed into Crown Crates. Therefore, you can buy the new crates for real money and, with a bit of luck, obtain the coveted pets and mounts.
Executioner’s Wolf, Fuzzy Camel, and a Devious Pig!
The new mount and pet creatures from the Scalebearer Crates are all dark terror creatures. Among them are, among others, the following beasts:
The Dragonfire Wolf: This wolf wears a creepy executioner’s mask, under which flaming eyes blaze. The wolf also wears its mane in braids. And someone has set it on fire.
The Shadow Rider Senche: Senche are four-legged Khajiit versions that are just as intelligent as their bipedal cousins. This pitch-black senche is a kind of sabretooth tiger that also wears a hood and is surrounded by shadowy flames. Additionally, compared to other sabretooth mounts, it has a long tail and no small stub.
The Galvanic Warhorse: This powerful warhorse is filled with the power of the storm. Lightning surrounds it, and electric sparks fly from its eyes. The horse also wears braids and has a blue hood on.
The Frostcurse Camel: This camel doesn’t look particularly dangerous, but it looks extremely cool and laid-back. It has shaggy fur, and the braided beard braids are simply adorable!
The Nasty Flameback Pig: This animal is unfortunately not a mount, but a companion pet that runs after you on your adventures. However, the pig looks extremely nasty and sneaky. It has blood-red piggy eyes and a kind of Mohawk hairstyle made of red bristles. The ideal pet for nasty anti-heroes in ESO.
In addition to these rare pets and mounts, there are also emotes, costumes, decorative items, and less rare pets. However, you can exchange unwanted rewards from the crates for gemstones and then specifically choose content from the boxes.
Blizzard has decided on adjustments for Sombra. Anyone who does not complete a hack in Overwatch correctly will now be punished.
Since her update in February, Sombra has become one of the strongest heroes in Overwatch. Hardly any professional team goes without the hacker anymore, as she can incapacitate a variety of opponents – without her abilities, they are easy prey.
The speed of hacking has been increased, so it now completes in 0.65 seconds. Also, more abilities than ever before can be disabled. Basically, anything that requires a keystroke, including Pharah’s jetpack or Lúcio’s wall ride.
Sombra Nerf Requires More Precise Hacking
A nerf has been requested from many sides, and now Blizzard is taking it seriously. In the official forum, developer Geoff Goodman spoke about the upcoming changes they want to test on Sombra. There are mainly 2 adjustments.
If Sombra’s hacking is interrupted by damage, the ability will be put on a 2-second cooldown. With this change, Sombra must proceed more cautiously and cannot simply hold down the “hack” button until the opponent needs to reload or misses.
The second change concerns the “line of sight” (LoS) or the “sight line” during hacking and is a bit more complicated. Currently, there is a time window of 0.1 seconds at the end of the hack, where hacking cannot be interrupted by LoS (for example, when running around a corner). This time window will be removed, but additional checks will be implemented so that one can no longer break LoS behind the smallest objects (like street signs). The game will now check more frequently during hacking whether the LoS is still intact, making it easier to interrupt the hack.
Essentially, Sombra should still be stronger than before the changes in February but deal with her hacking in a more targeted way.
Blizzard continues to keep an eye on Sombra and intends to make further adjustments if necessary.

At the last E3, Microsoft announced a revamp of the Xbox avatars that was supposed to be released in 2017. After several media outlets reported that the cute player characters would come to home consoles as early as April, Mike Ybarra, Corporate Vice President Gaming at Microsoft, put a stop to that.
At the last E3 in June 2017, Microsoft announced a major overhaul of the Xbox avatars. The original figures, which players were supposed to use to express themselves on the platform and which were also used in various games, were brought to the Xbox 360 in 2008 and have since nearly been forgotten on the current Xbox One.
At the last Electronic Entertainment Expo, a new avatar system was unexpectedly announced, which is not only supposed to bring the little figures up to date, but also make them more customizable.
Cute and Diverse
Microsoft focuses entirely on diversity with the new avatars. In a trailer, avatars with different body shapes, in wheelchairs, or with amputations were shown. The figures are also supposed to reflect various moods, life circumstances, or players’ hobbies.
The new avatars are created with the Unity engine, making them particularly cute and detailed. One might think they sprang from the latest Pixar film. With the switch to the new engine, it should be particularly easy to customize your avatar and add additional props to it.
As with the old player figures, there will also be a dedicated store for the new avatars where additional customizations can be purchased. At a later date, third parties will also be able to create and sell additional accessories for the figures.
Whether the props of the old avatars, which could be purchased or earned in Xbox 360 games, will find a place in the new system and could be used there is still unknown.

The new avatars are coming…when the time comes
After several media outlets reported that the new avatar system would be examined by alpha testers this month and distributed to all players in April, Mike Ybarra, Corporate Vice President Gaming at Microsoft, spoke on Twitter.
The avatars would be released as soon as the time comes. There is currently no set date for the update, which would come to consoles only after feedback from the testers.
Anyone who gets banned on Twitch has to be careful not to appear in other streams. Otherwise, other streamers will also be punished. With this rule, streamer Hyphonix is currently struggling and has had to give up a large portion of friendship.
The Twitch streamer “Hyphonix” admits that he has made many mistakes. So many that he has now been banned from the livestreaming platform Twitch.TV. When his friends stream, he wasn’t allowed to be with them
Hyphonix lives with streamer friends Alfie and Black in a house in Los Angeles. They stream in the house almost around the clock, but because of his recent punishment, Hyphonix was not allowed to appear in any stream. It was even forbidden for his voice to be heard in other streams.
This rule is particularly difficult to enforce in the mentioned streaming house. While his roommates are streaming, he is not even allowed to ask them how they are doing or what their plans for the day are. First, they have to turn off the microphone.
How did this ban come about?
His recent ban is presumably due to him taking off his shirt after pouring tomato sauce on himself. He performed this action as a protest against the new Twitch rules that require a proper dress code for streams.

Roommates have to turn off their webcams
In an interview with Kotaku, Hyphonix explained how difficult the situation in the house is. Every time he enters a room or walks past a streamer, they must first turn off their webcam and mute their microphone. If they fail to do so, they could even get in trouble – and he could receive a permanent ban.

After Hyphonix’s issues with the rules became public, he spoke with Twitch. They now allow him to appear on camera with his roommates Alfierules and Black. However, he is not allowed to be the main content of the stream.

“Should I be permanently banned on Twitch.TV, I will continue to stream on YouTube,” he explains. “But I would still live in the house because that streaming would then be more real life happening outside.”

A total of 10 different colorations of the mounts have already been discovered in the game data.

Sword-like handling when attacking
This weapon is a pole with a blade at the end, which can be swung similarly to a sword. The reach is decent, so you don’t have to get too close to the monster.
Jump mechanic that provides high mobility
The special thing about the Insect Glaive is that you can catapult yourself high into the air with it. Here, you perform acrobatic attacks, which you unleash from above onto monsters. The attacks are extremely useful for jumping onto monsters and riding them, as you can attack from above with ease.
Kinsect that provides buffs to the hunter
Additionally, the weapon is accompanied by a so-called Kinsect. This is a large beetle that sits on your arm and is used in battle to deal damage and collect extracts from monsters. The extract is converted into different buffs, which can give you more power in defense or offense and restore your health.
The Kinsect is further developed in the forge, just like the weapon itself, and can be outfitted with elements or status effects. It has its own Kinsect tree with different insects that you can equip.
Advantages and Disadvantages of the Insect Glaive

Controls: How to Use the Insect Glaive and Kinsect in Combat
You can practice the control of the Insect Glaive, just like with the other weapons, in the training area of your house. Just talk to your Palico attendant. When controlling the Insect Glaive, it is important to note that you control your pole and the insect independently from each other.
Sending the Kinsect into battle
Your Kinsect has two functions in battle:
It attacks monstersand leaves Kinsect powder,which creates a specific status effect. If the powder is hit by a weapon, it explodes and deals poison or paralysis damage to the monster. The type of damage inflicted depends on which Kinsect you have equipped.
It collects monster extract and grants you buffs, which you can see in the status bar under your weapon sharpness. The buffs are divided into three colors and either increase your attack, defense, or speed – depending on which body part the extract came from. The buffs will be covered in more detail later.
Control of the Kinsect (PS4):
Use Kinsect: With L2, you aim at the monster. A yellow crosshair appears.
Extract collection: With Triangle, you send the Kinsect to collect extract from monsters. You must pay attention to the body part, as the respective body parts of monsters provide different buffs. The buffs are represented in three colors.
Red: improved attack
White: faster movement
Orange: prevents knockbacks when attacking
Green: restores health
Recall/Buff received: To collect the buff for your hunter, recall your Kinsect with Circle.
Fire Kinsect: If you use R2, the Kinsect attacks the targeted enemy and leaves behind powder clouds with status effects, like poison.
Basic control of the Insect Glaive for PS4 and Xbox One

Combos of the Insect Glaive – Important: Red extract changes some attacks
The different combinations can also be viewed in the hunting notes. It is important to note that some attacks of the Insect Glaive change when you collect the red extract from a monster. This causes the animation of the attacks to change, allowing you to execute more attacks in succession and thus deal higher damage.
Here are the most important combos listed in the PS4 layout. For the Xbox layout, just match the buttons above with those specified in the basic controls.
Combo for short opening: Thrust (L + Triangle) – Slash (Triangle) – Double strike (Triangle)
Combo in the air: Catapult (R2 + X) – Dodge in the air (X) – Jumping upward strike (Circle)
Kinsect Guide: How do the extracts and buffs actually work?
To really master the Insect Glaive, you should especially familiarize yourself with the function of the extracts.
The essences collected by the Kinsect give you buffs, which are marked in different colors:
White – Movement is increased for 90 seconds. This allows you to perform faster attacks.
Red – Attack is enhanced for 60 seconds and some attacks are adjusted. If you now perform an attack with Y/Triangle in the air, you spin with the Insect Glaive and deal high damage. Additionally, your chance to ride the monster increases.
Orange – Defense is improved for 45 seconds. You also gain resistance against weaker attacks.
Green – Some health is restored.
You can identify which buffs are currently active by looking at the rectangles below the weapon sharpness.
Combined colors yield better hybrid effects
The Insect Glaive only unleashes its full potential when you have all buffs (red, white, orange) active at the same time. Then you can slice through monsters at high speed with stronger combinations from all angles!
These are the hybrid effects:
Red + White – 20% more attack + the standard bonuses from red and white for 60 seconds
White + Orange – 5% more defense + earplugs (resistance against some monster roars) + standard bonuses from white and orange for 60 seconds
Red + White + Orange – 25% more attack + 8% more defense + earplugs + standard bonuses from red, white, and orange for 60 seconds
What body parts of monsters give which buffs?
To obtain the essences and their buffs, you must send the Kinsect to various monster parts. This can vary slightly from monster to monster. However, there is a general rule to follow regarding monsters.
White = Wings and Legs
Red = Head
Orange = Body
Green = Tail

Kinsect leaves powder on the monster, which triggers an effect upon attack
If you mark a monster’s body part with “Mark Target” (L2 + R2 / LT + RT), the Kinsect will attack. At the spot where the Kinsect attacks, it leaves behind powder. If this cloud is hit with an attack, it explodes and triggers its respective effect.
It depends on the equipped Kinsect which effect it triggers. Like the Ladies’ Shield II, which causes paralysis with its powder.
It does not matter whether you cause the Kinsect powder to explode with an attack or if another hunter from the group does it. As long as the cloud is hit and is near the monster, the effect will be triggered.
The Kinsects can cause the following (abnormal) status effects, depending on the type:
Poison
Stun
Paralysis
Healing
Explosion
In the Forge: Managing, Developing, and Changing the Element of Kinsects
At this point, it should be clear to everyone that mastering the Insect Glaive has a lot to do with Kinsect management. The Kinsect has its own area in the forge and can be developed just like any weapon in the game.
There is a complete Kinsect tree where you can further develop and customize the beetles. Just like for weapons, you need to collect resources for the different Kinsects to be able to craft them.
On the status bar to the right, you can see what properties the Kinsect has before you build or develop it.
The element of a Kinsect can be changed at any time
A particularly strong feature of the Kinsect is that you can change the element of each individual beetle at any time. This makes the weapon incredibly flexible, as the Kinsect stands independently of the pole weapon in its element.
You can always adjust the element for the monster you are currently fighting. However, to change the element, you need to have the corresponding resources. In the image below, the Pseudokath I could thus gain the Thunder element if 1 x Thunderbug, 3 x Machalite Ore, and 1,000 Zenny are paid. However, only one element can be active at the same time.
Kinsect statistics: What do they mean and which are important?
The Kinsect is equipped with various statistics that you should pay attention to when upgrading:
Attack type: The Kinsects have either blunt or cutting attacks.
Pollen: This status indicates what effect powder clouds trigger
Element: The element can be changed for every Kinsect
Power, Speed, Healing: This determines how strong the potential of the Kinsect’s buff extracts is. The maximum is level 15.
Speed is particularly important! It indicates how fast your Kinsect flies to the monster and comes back again. You want to have a Kinsect that is as fast as possible to quickly acquire the buffs.

Practically with the Insect Glaive: Mounting, Support, Queen against flying monsters
The Insect Glaive is the queen of the skies, and those who handle it skillfully hop around monsters like on a trampoline. Particularly strong features of the Insect Glaive are:
Mounting/Riding: Due to the jumping properties, the Insect Glaive is THE weapon to jump on monsters and ride them. While on the monsters, you can execute strong attack combinations while safely perched on the beast.
Support: Especially with the Kinsect powders, you have the ability to support your team. If you have melee fighters in your team, you can equip a Kinsect with extra healing pollen. If you shoot this at the monster, the hunters nearby will heal themselves directly when they slice through the clouds.
Queen of the Skies: Especially against flying opponents, the Insect Glaive is an excellent choice. You can easily jump after your opponents and fight them in the air.
If you like tricky, mobile, and flexible weapons, the Insect Glaive is a good choice. It is advisable to familiarize yourself with the Kinsects themselves and the effects of their buffs. Effectively executing the attacks in the air is purely a matter of practice.
