In the upcoming survival MMO Rend , you will also explore a vast game world. The developers have now introduced the area of Stagswood.
Survival and base building are important in Rend. However, to gather resources, you must also explore the world. Your journey will take you to Stagswood.
A dark forest contains valuable resources for your base
Not a walk in the park. Stagswood may seem like a beautiful forest, inviting you for a little hike. However, you should always be aware of the dangers lurking among the tall trees and in the underbrush. But you will need to enter the forest repeatedly, as there are several tasks awaiting you:
Gather resources: Provide your faction with wood to construct new buildings. You can also find metal ores that you need to smelt for further processing.
Resources: In the forest, you will find wood and also the Skogurfrut berry. In the caves, you will mine for metal ores.
Strategically important: Stagswood serves as a natural boundary to your territory and is a strategic outpost from which you can launch further exploration trips.
Climate: Although the daytime climate is moderate, it gets cool at night in the forest, which means you will consume more energy when running and fighting.
Fauna: The forest is not a place for the inattentive: Glowing deer are not easy prey, and wargs and cave dwellers are licking their lips for you.
Deer with massive antlers. Stagswood is named for the powerful deer that inhabit it, whose antlers are so large that they can even reach the treetops. While these majestic creatures often flee when they see humans, when cornered, they will fight to the utmost and use their antlers as deadly weapons. If you take down a deer, you will receive leather as a resource and its meat to create food.
After there was terrible trouble with The Elder Scrolls Online regarding the app “Red Shell”, other online games like Conan Exiles and Dead by Daylight are also removing the app. Critics say it is spyware. The creators of the app feel misrepresented.
Fear of data theft after Facebook scandal
Bad luck: At the beginning of the month, we reported on Mein-MMO that the ESO director Matt Firor has apologized to the players. They “accidentally” activated the app “Red Shell”. The app is actually intended for marketing purposes so that providers can better tailor their advertising offerings to the target audience. But in the currently heated atmosphere due to the Facebook data scandal, the issue was sensitive. Critics refer to the app as “spyware.”
Outcry after ESO admission: How this came to light and that ESO apologized for it drew a lot of criticism. Some accused ESO of intention. The action had catastrophic consequences for the app itself and its reputation.
Players: Nobody wants this app
Resistance is forming: As the US site Kotaku reports, players have banded together in recent weeks (via reddit) to take action against the software. They call “Red Shell” spyware and believe that many software companies have smuggled it into their games. According to them, Red Shell is a piece of software that nobody invited and nobody asked for. Red Shell snoops around on the PC and searches for data – against the user’s wishes.
To the pillory: The players have started threads on reddit and Steam and confronted the developers of various games with the accusations.
Dead by Daylight developers apologize – Conan Exiles also removes app
How game developers react: Faced with this pressure, many developers profess their innocence and good intentions. For example, Dead by Daylight states that they only wanted to use the tool to check the effectiveness of the advertising campaign. They had no intention of collecting and selling data here. Many developers also say: Actually, they wanted to disable it already, but due to an error, it is still active or at least appears to be active.
For image reasons: The developers of Total War say they will drop the software now because it is difficult to convey to players that it is not used with bad intentions.
Witch hunt: However, there are other voices. Dire Wolf Digital, who made “The Elder Scrolls: Legends,” say that Red Shell is not spyware. That is a frightening “Let’s burn the witch” word that is flying around without much information attached. Red Shell does not collect personal data. Nothing bad happens; these are just data that help developers understand how well the advertising campaigns are running.
App removed from 16 games: As Kotaku reports, the app has now been removed from 16 games, or the developers claim to be removing it from their games soon. These include games such as:
The games are still going: However, according to community reports, there are still many games that rely on Red Shell (via PCGamer). These include:
Civilization VI
Kerbal Space Program
Guardians of Ember
Warhammer 40k Eternal Crusade
SoulWorker
This is how Red Shell reacts: The creators of the app express disappointment over the development. They emphasize that they have never sold data. They are gamers themselves and want to work with developers to help them support their communities. They have only collected the minimum amount of data to fulfill this task.
The director and producer of Final Fantasy XIV Naoki Yoshida has announced that there will be no super-epic raids until the next expansion. The Western raider community has no understanding of this.
The fatal content in FFXIV is characterized by its brutal difficulty, which only a few players can overcome.
After the difficulty of the epic raid was reduced to win over casual and mid-core raiders, the fatal content remains the only real challenge for the hardcore community. The development of this content is now to be put on hold indefinitely.
Over a year of waiting
Bad news for hardcore raiders: In an interview with the Japanese magazine Dengeki, director Naoki Yoshida announced that the fatal Ultima raid released at the beginning of June will temporarily be the last of its kind.
According to Yoshida, the development team gathered from the reaction of the FFXIV community that two fatal raids per expansion would be enough. For the players, it would otherwise be too exhausting to participate in the world races for the first kill.
When will the next raid come? It is expected that the next expansion of Final Fantasy XIV will be announced during the fan festivals at the end of 2018 – beginning of 2019.
This would roughly place the actual release in mid-2019. This means that raiders will have to wait over a year for the new fatal content. Originally, this type of raid was supposed to be released with every second content patch, meaning approximately every six months.
Although the opponent of the next fatal raid has not yet been determined, Yoshida hinted that it could be King Thordan and his knights.
Fatal raids are extremely popular
The decision to drastically reduce the number of fatal raids came unexpectedly and was met with incomprehension from the Western raider community. The ultimate battles are considered by many to be the best in the whole game, and their developers have already received much praise for the design.
But the success of these raids is also strongly reflected in the viewer numbers on Twitch. The launches of the two fatal versions of Bahamut and Ultima temporarily catapulted Final Fantasy XIV into the top 10 of the most-watched games, surpassing titles like Destiny 2, Overwatch, and CS:GO.
In the official forums, raiders have already created several threads on the topic, in which they are asking the developers to reconsider this decision. And on social media channels, especially Twitter, voices are being raised asking for more fatal content.
A reaction from Yoshida is still awaited.
This summer, there will be a crossover with Monster Hunter: World in Final Fantasy:
The open beta for The Crew 2 will start soon. What content is playable? What vehicles can you try out? We will show you what you can experience during the beta in the virtually reconstructed USA.
The release of The Crew 2 is already on June 29, 2018 (PC / Xbox One / Playstation 4). Reason enough for the makers around Ivory Tower to conduct one final stress test of the servers.
The open beta starts on June 21 and ends on June 25 – just a few days before the release. In a post, the PlayStation Blog addressed the activities you can engage in during the four days.
What is The Crew 2 all about? You will be thrown directly into the fray as a relatively unknown driver and must make a name for yourself through racing victories in various disciplines. The developer provides everything a hobby racer could wish for in terms of rideable vehicles: from racing cars to power boats and planes to off-road vehicles and motorcycles.
In the beta, you can basically buy all the vehicles that are offered in the catalog and take them on rides. While there will be no races for many of the vehicles during the open beta, you can at least try out everything the game has to offer during free drive.
These activities you should experience during the open beta!
1. Visit Las Vegas: In Las Vegas, you can participate in the Strip South event – a race that goes directly through the famous “Strip”. Mastering the track is quite a challenge, with traps and shortcuts waiting for drivers at every turn.
2. Explore the terrain with the Mercedes X-Class: The heavy 2.2-ton beast can be easily maneuvered through the wilderness. Whoever wins the corresponding event can claim the X-Class and take it home (virtually).
During the closed beta, the control of the off-road vehicles felt a bit sluggish. It will be exciting to see whether Ivory Tower has improved this in the meantime.
3. Unlock all available vehicles: You can unlock four different vehicle classes during the beta – Street Racer, Pro Racer, Boats, and Planes. If you play the corresponding events, you will receive the first vehicles as a gift.
4. Explore the area in free play: Many landmarks of the USA have been implemented in the game. You could jump from a giant dam at the Colorado River or fly over it with a plane, explore the caves and swamps around Maine with a boat, or plow through the mud in the Hollywood Hills in LA with the motocross machine.
5. Customize your vehicles: In your headquarters in Miami, you can individually customize all your vehicles. From different spoilers and paint jobs to custom skins, you can try out a lot of things.

The editor for custom paint jobs was already extremely powerful during the closed beta. Several community projects emerged during this time. However, it is not known whether these can still be found in the open beta.

Survival and crafting play a role in the upcoming online game Fallout 76, but not to the extent that it is the case with Rust. It focuses on “softcore survival”: The features are not meant to be annoying.
No frustration: Bethesda does not want to frustrate players with Fallout 76. This is immediately evident in how the PvP system is designed. The development studio also takes a step back regarding survival elements.
Softcore Survival without Frustration
Survival yes, but not hardcore. In Fallout 76, it will be necessary for your character to eat and drink, but Bethesda does not want to align itself with hardcore survival games like Rust.
You do not need to feed your character every few minutes or give them something to drink
Bethesda itself calls the system softcore survival
Survival elements are meant to support the gameplay but not lead to frustration
There is no need to constantly check if you have enough food reserves with you
Nonetheless, eating and drinking are important
A display in the UI gives you hints about how hungry or thirsty the hero is
Crafting is also important. As seen in many other online survival games, crafting is also a significant part of Fallout 76. You can craft various items:
Ammunition
Food
Armor
Building materials
Weapon mods
Bethesda wants Fallout 76 to be a fluid and enjoyable game. Therefore, the company is scaling back all elements that could lead to frustration for players. We will find out how it plays at the release on November 14 or even at the beta.

The MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV could become the first major MMORPG for the Nintendo Switch, and Square Enix would also like to release it on Xbox One. But Sony and the PS4 seem to be blocking these ambitions.
FF14 wants to be on as many platforms as possible: At the E3 2018, the head of Final Fantasy XIV, Naoki Yoshida, once again confirmed that they want to bring the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV to as many platforms as possible.
These are the consoles in question: They are primarily focused on two consoles: Microsoft’s Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch.
Final Fantasy XIV will only come to Xbox One and Switch with PS4 crossplay
But there is a catch: However, Yoshida is determined that all Final Fantasy XIV players roam together in a shared world. Currently, Final Fantasy XIV runs on PC, PS4, and (partially) on PS3. Everyone here plays in a common and shared world. That should remain so, even when Final Fantasy XIV appears on Switch and Xbox One.
Final Fantasy XIV needs the green light from Sony: To bring the game to Switch and Xbox One, Square Enix needs Sony’s approval that the new versions will support crossplay with PlayStation 4. However, Sony has been reluctant for years.
Discussions are ongoing – Yoshida has “hope”
Discussions are ongoing: According to Yoshida, they are in continuous discussions with Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo to find out if Final Fantasy XIV can come to Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch with crossplay to PS4 and PC. Yoshida says: He hopes he can announce something as soon as possible.
Sony decides whether Final Fantasy XIV remains PS4 exclusive
Situation for years: This is the same situation with Final Fantasy XIV as it has been for years. When asked about possible ports to Xbox One, Yoshida has always responded: We want to, but only if everyone can play together. Ironically, it is therefore in Sony’s hands whether players on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch can play the MMORPG “Final Fantasy XIV”. However, Sony seems to have no interest in this for economic reasons. Sony thus ultimately determines whether they want to keep Final Fantasy XIV “console-exclusive” or not.
Current topic: Due to a conflict over crossplay in Fortnite, the topic of “crossplay between all consoles” is currently more relevant than ever. Industry veteran John Smedley, formerly with Sony, believes that the problem could be solved if pressure on Sony is maintained. Final Fantasy XIV is one of the games that would be directly affected by a change in direction at Sony.
Once again, there is trouble surrounding a cosmetic Iron Banner bundle in the Cash Shop of Destiny 2. The weapon ornament from the €10 package disappears for many Guardians. Bungie has now removed the package from the Eververse and is already working on a solution.
Just recently, Bungie drew the ire of numerous fans with the Iron Banner gesture “Salute of the Lords”. The fact that this gesture was exclusively tied to the Eververse and could only be purchased with real money was met with little appreciation and understanding among the Guardians.
A bug in the current Iron Banner bundle of the Eververse is causing trouble again. Bungie has already reacted and is working on a solution.
Wolf’s Face Ornament Bugged – Bungie Removes Iron Banner Bundle
New Iron Banner Bundle in the Cash Shop: In line with the second Iron Banner of Season 3, there was an appropriate bundle in the Eververse. The centerpiece of the package this time is the Wolf’s Face ornament for the grenade launcher Howl of the Lion in the Iron Banner style. This bundle is also tied to the Eververse and costs nearly €10.
The Problem: After purchasing the bundle, numerous fans found that the ornament could not be equipped in some cases despite having purchased it, or it completely disappears.
If you switch the ornament on Howl of the Lion, it may still be displayed in the inventory or in the vault for some fans, but not in the ornament slot of the weapon. For others, it disappears entirely. Only in the Eververse does it state that the bundle can no longer be purchased because you already own it. It is also indicated there that the ornament is already in the collection.
Clearly, this is a bug.
Bungie Has Already Addressed the Issue: Bungie quickly reacted and spoke on Twitter. It was initially stated that they were looking into the increasing reports. Shortly thereafter, the studio announced that they would remove the Iron Banner bundle from the Eververse until the problem is fixed.

What is the solution for affected players? Affected purchasers of the bundle will receive this ornament back once the bug is fixed with a patch.
What does the community say? Numerous fans are angry. Not only does the fact cause discontent that thematic cosmetics are once again tied to the Cash Shop instead of being earnable through the Iron Banner itself, many fans are upset that Bungie seems unable to get a handle on the bugs.
While the community now expects a quick response from the developers — but only because it involves the Cash Shop and thus money. Bugs like those with Nightfall loot, however, take much longer. This is not particularly conducive to the mood.
A new beta patch for World of Warcraft finally brings the fresh login screen. It’s time to say goodbye to the Legion!
Last night (06/19/2018), a new patch for the beta of World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth was deployed. This finally brought the new login screen that players will have to look at when the login servers are acting up.
The background features massive city walls – likely from Undercity – and in front of it, the remnants of a battlefield where Horde and Alliance fought each other. Weapons and armor of the fallen still lie on the battlefield, making it clear what Battle for Azeroth is mainly about: the war between Horde and Alliance.
What else was included in the patch? Aside from the login screen, the current beta update for Battle for Azeroth has brought much more “little stuff” designed to enhance the atmosphere. Several hundred music tracks have been added to the game. Previously, many areas had to go without background music entirely; now, nearly all zones seem to have atmospheric music!
Fundamentally, these changes are a clear sign that Blizzard has now moved on to fine-tuning and is focusing on little things like last tweaks to balancing and details in the game environment.
However, one might not be completely satisfied with the launch in just under two months. Because some classes will be less enjoyable:

The 7th Community Day in Pokémon GO brings you Squirtle as a special Pokémon. Bonuses will also be unlocked again.
When does the 7th Community Day start? In July, many fans are expected for the Community Day. It will take place on Sunday, July 8th and starts at 11:00 AM. The event lasts for 3 hours and ends at 2:00 PM.
Special Pokémon and Egg bonuses: Community Days are characterized by special Pokémon that spawn more often. In July, it is Squirtle. Additionally, the distance required to hatch eggs is reduced.
Community Day with Squirtle in July 2018
The last Community Days were well received by Pokémon GO players. Trainers were able to catch Pikachu, Dratini, Electrabuzz, Larvitar, Charmander, and Bulbasaur. The 7th Community Day revolves around the Water-type Pokémon Squirtle.
The special bonuses: During the event, the distance required to hatch eggs is reduced to a quarter. Those who walk around diligently during the event can hatch a lot of eggs.
Extended Lures: As with every Community Day, in July the lures will last for 3 hours instead of 30 minutes.
Exclusive Attack? So far, nothing official is known about Squirtle’s attack. During the Community Day, the special Pokémon can learn a special attack. Niantic usually announces this just before the start of the event.
Suspicion about Hydro Cannon: In the code of the latest Update 0.107.1, the Water-type attack Hydro Cannon was found. Trainers suspect that this will be the exclusive Community Day attack for Blastoise.
Winners of the Community Day in June
Just a few days ago, the 6th Community Day in Pokémon GO took place. Larvitar was the sought-after Pokémon. There were many trainers out who caught Pokémon in the wild during the event.

In Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4, iOS, Switch & Xbox One) something has changed again. The mysterious rocket in the supervillain hideout is apparently about to launch according to a mysterious countdown. Can players fire the rocket?
What is the deal with the rocket? Shortly after the launch of Season 4 of Fortnite, players discovered the rocket. It appears to be a cruise missile located in the base of a supervillain at Snobby Shores.
So far, the rocket is only in its launch silo. But something is happening with the thing now, and an additional bonus title screen also suggests an imminent launch.
Screens show skulls and countdown
What are the clues for the rocket launch? Currently, when you see screens on televisions in Fortnite, you can see the logo of a square skull. This perfectly corresponds to the shape of the supervillain hideout where the rocket can be found.
The screens of the televisions have recently only shown the skull.
What is happening in the villain’s base? It seems like a lot is happening there too. Hop Rocks are scattered everywhere, the lights on the rocket are glowing red, and a red hologram featuring a rocket image has suddenly become active.
This hologram is new.
Countdown on the Switch: Additionally, some players report that in the Switch version of Fortnite, you can see a kind of countdown. Is it the countdown to the rocket launch on Tuesday evening?

A similar game was played by Epic at the end of Season 3. There, a llama and a countdown until the end of the season were displayed.
Dataminers find clues about rocket launch by player hand
The theory about the rocket countdown is further backed up. The famous dataminers “DieBuddies” have already found clues and claim: “The rocket launches on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at 6:00 PM our time”.

Moreover, the Buddies are convinced: Players will be able to launch the rocket. There’s supposed to be a hint in the code for a launch button for the rocket.
After today’s patch, a second countdown appeared
Update 19.6. 8 PM: At the expected time, nothing happened. The countdown on the Switch televisions is now gone – the screens are black. However, the countdown has moved since patch 4.4 today.
Since the patch right before the rocket: Now the countdown is directly in front of the gigantic rocket in Fortnite. Players on all platforms can see it in the supervillain hideout. However, it seems that not every player can see the countdown. The countdown seems to be counting down to Saturday, June 23. We will continue to follow this on Mein MMO.
What will the rocket do once it takes off?
Currently, there are various fan theories about what exactly the rocket is supposed to do:
Destroy Tilted Towers: Perhaps the rocket will finally put an end to Tilted Towers. However, parts of the settlement were already damaged after the meteor strike.
Eradicate Moisty Mire: According to some clues for the start of Season 4, this place is supposed to be wiped out at the end.
Trigger an alien invasion: Since the visitor is playing around in a bonus screen by the rocket, it could very well be that he wants to report back to his alien buddies about the upcoming invasion.
Release Hop Rock energy across the map: The Hop Rocks from the crater were transported to the base in a convoy. It seems that the rocket is full of them. When launched, it could release the energy of the rocks across the whole map and change it permanently.
Blow up the bunker in Wailing Woods: Then we would finally find out what is behind the hatch.
Kill all players in a freely selectable target area: Perhaps the rocket is an essential part of a new game mechanic. Whoever launches it might be able to name a target area where it will then land and cause massive damage. Maybe the rocket is even part of a new game mode.
The military MMO War Thunder is now available to play on Xbox One. Additionally, the Closed Beta for naval battles has started.
War Thunder is getting bigger: War Thunder is a military MMO where you engage in battle with aircraft and tanks. Combined battles are even possible. However, until now, battles were only conducted on land and in the air.
You can now also fight naval battles with warships. And if you want to play War Thunder on Xbox One, you can finally do that now!
Early Access on Xbox One – But only with Founder Pack
War Thunder on Xbox One, but it costs something: Xbox players can now play War Thunder on Xbox One. However, not in the free-to-play version, as this will not be released until later in 2018. There are already early access packs available that you can start with right away.
The cheapest package costs 19.99 euros and gives you access to the game on Xbox One. You can also purchase two more expensive packages on the Microsoft homepage, which include tons of premium playtime, in-game currency, and premium vehicles.
Crossplay with PC possible: By the way, don’t worry about a lack of players on Xbox. As is common with Microsoft, War Thunder supports crossplay between PC and the Xbox version of the game.
What is War Thunder? War Thunder is a military MMO. You control military vehicles and can shoot at enemies with them. War Thunder started with air combat – even today, War Thunder is considered the military MMO in which aircraft are the easiest to control.
Naval Battle Beta has started with ships
In addition to the Xbox One early access, there’s the closed beta for naval battles in War Thunder. Access here is also available through special packages. These cost 49.99 euros each on the War Thunder homepage and offer either a German or American destroyer along with premium playtime and in-game currency.
Later, there will also be access for applicants to the naval battle beta. Xbox players can also participate in the early access for the ships. The beta already features over 40 ships from the German Navy and the US Navy. The ship classes range from torpedo boats to light cruisers.

ARK: Survival Evolved will receive a major update called “Extinction” in November for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. This DLC will take you through the beginning and end of all life in ARK. Check out the announcement trailer for ARK: Extinction here.
When is the release of Extinction? The update will be released on November 6, 2018, for PS4, Xbox One, and Steam.
Defeat a gigantic Titan and save the Earth
What can you expect in Extinction? Extinction is an endgame challenge. The video description states: For veterans who have mastered all previous hurdles, the ultimate challenge awaits. Survivors can defeat a gigantic Titan that roams the Earth and dominates the planet. The ARK cycle must be closed in this update to save the future of Earth. There will also be some new creatures and technologies to see.
The past and future collide: The planet is infected and filled with organic and technological life forms. It remains unclear whether the players are in the past or the future of Earth. However, the key to the past and future, which leads to salvation, should be located on Earth.
The massive Titan shown here is just a mini-boss
The gigantic Titan is just a mini-boss
Is there something bigger than the Titan? The trailer shows a powerful Titan, next to which the stout dino looks like a small toy. This would imply that players may expect an end-boss. Those who have not yet reached the endgame can rest assured. Titans like this will be located at fixed positions that survivors must specifically target.
New creatures: It is already known that the update will bring two new creatures: the “Enforcer” and “Gasbag”. These are not final names yet. The Enforcer is a synthetic dino that can crawl along walls and make short jumps using teleportation. The “Gasbag” is said to be usable like a pack mule.
New items: Extinction will also bring new items, including drones that roam as scouts. You will soon be able to freeze dinos into small cubes and carry them with you in your pocket. Pokémon sends its regards!
How much does the DLC cost? The DLC is included in the season pass for ARK: Survivial Evolved, which costs around 45 euros. Those who buy the Extinction expansion without the season pass will pay about 20 euros for it.

Grounded: Damage taken while in the air is significantly increased
Brawler: Melee abilities deal more damage and charge much faster

This is what makes Sanhok special: The new map is much smaller than Erangel or Miramar. Instead of 8×8 kilometers, Sanhok is limited to a play area of 4×4 kilometers. Still, a match usually consists of 100 players; the player count has not been reduced.
New weapon in PUBG: The map also includes the exclusive QBZ95 weapon. This is an AR (assault rifle) that uses 5.56mm ammunition. The magazine holds 30 rounds, upgraded to 40 rounds. The QBZ95 spawns instead of the SCAR-L on Sanhok – the SCAR-L isn’t available there.

Weather: There is dynamic weather on Sanhok.
Red Zone: The red zone is smaller on Sanhok and is active for a shorter duration than normal. The center of the red zone appears outside the play area (outside the white circle).
Blue Zone: The wait times for the blue zone are shorter on Sanhok. However, it shrinks at a slower rate. The zone is dynamic. Depending on the number of remaining players, the wait time and speed are determined. However, the size of the blue zone is not dependent on this.
More weapons, fewer scopes: ARs, SMGs, and DMRs spawn more frequently on Sanhok. However, 8x and 15x scopes do not appear on the map. If they do, it’s only in airdrops.
The complete patch notes for the PUBG update can be found in the Steam forums.
The launch of the companion app for Final Fantasy XIV is finally coming into view. At the end of July, the app should be available with all its starter features for players worldwide – this should be the release date.
The app is finally coming: Although a specific release date is still not confirmed, fans can look forward to more information about the app’s features in the near future. It is assumed that the launch of the app will coincide with the release of a new 4.3x patch for Final Fantasy XIV.
Developed for Android and iOS systems
This is how the companion app will work:
There will be a free and a premium version
The monthly subscription for the premium version costs 500 yen (approximately €3.50)
Users of the app will receive bonuses in Final Fantasy XIV such as discounted teleportation
You will not be able to remain logged in to the app and FFXIV simultaneously.
There will be a daily login bonus
Producer Yoshida stated that the app will continue to be developed and both the free and premium versions will receive new features in the future.
Everything that is known so far about the app and its features can be found here:
Square Enix has also launched a special page for the companion app to explain the app’s features to players. Although there isn’t much new information there yet, it doesn’t hurt to keep an eye on it.
The special pages for Final Fantasy XIV have always been steadily updated over time with new information, so one can expect that there will soon be more news there.
What Final Fantasy XIV will have to offer this summer can be found in our article:
In Fortnite (PC, PS4, iOS & Xbox One), data miners have once again uncovered information about new game modes. In “Tactics Showdown” and “Ground Game”, there is less building material and ammunition. So you have to act tactically – like in PUBG!
With update 4.4, new hidden data were introduced to the game. Therefore, data miners have already dug deep into the code and dragged information about one or even two new game modes into the limelight.
But whether there are two new modes or just one: building deniers and ammunition savers will be pleased and will be able to play Fortnite more in PUBG style.
Tactics Showdown and Ground Game
According to the information from the data mining, there should be playlists for the new modes “Tactics Showdown” and “Ground Game”. Both modes have quite similar descriptions:
Ammunition supplies are limited
Building materials are rarer
Buildings withstand less damage
Players leave fewer resources upon death
Instead, players should focus more on combat and do less building spam. Additionally, the popular tactic “Spray & Pray” is no longer effective, as ammunition is so scarce. This refers to the act of simply shooting wildly, hoping to hit something.

PUBG meets Fortnite? All of this is more reminiscent of the tactical and realistic gameplay of PUBG than of the wild building and shooting of Fortnite.
Players are skeptical
Whether the two game modes ultimately turn out to be just one mode and whether it will actually come into play soon is still unclear. However, some players on the internet are not particularly happy about the direction this mode is taking. After all, building is supposed to be the great unique feature of Fortnite.
The wrong direction? And only those who build perfectly are true top gamers in the game. Is Epic trying to remove the last real “skill gap” in the game and favor noobs? Other players see it differently and are looking forward to not always standing in front of walls when they want to land a good shot.
How everything will unfold in the new modes (or mode) remains to be seen when everything is online. What is your opinion on this game mode? Would you prefer less building and playing Fortnite more like a regular shooter? Or is this the wrong way for Epic?
It may be that one can never play League of Legends on Linux again. The new anti-cheat software doesn’t allow it.
Measures against cheaters in online games are important so that players do not lose the fun without cheats. The MOBA League of Legends has now changed its anti-cheat measures to create a safer environment in the game. As a byproduct, an entire operating system, Linux, is now excluded.
Will Linux players be able to play again soon? So far, it doesn’t look like this situation will change. And this frustrates Linux players.
LoL on Linux blocked, the small player base is angry
What happened? A few days ago, Riot Games implemented the new anti-cheat measures for League of Legends. Players using third-party programs are to stay away from the MOBA. With third-party software, cheats can be employed that automatically evade enemy attacks.
Impact on Linux: As players on Reddit have noted, users of the Linux operating system can no longer play League of Legends since this change. They are simply excluded. They do not have their own client but play through the Wine software, which allows Windows software to run on Linux.
What do the developers say about it? They explain in the announcement about the new anti-cheat software that players should not use the game in virtual machines, including “Wine”. This leads to crashes or reconnect loops.
The problem: Players whose PCs run on Linux use Wine to run Windows programs on the system.
No homegrown solution from Riot for now
It seems that developer Riot Games has shown little interest so far in working on a solution for Linux players. In a comment in the League of Legends forums, Riot Perma writes:
We have not specifically tested compatibility with Wine or other Windows emulators or virtualization software. Because the nature of the protective software is so complex and many variations of software are in circulation, we cannot present a solution that is compatible with all. However, we are open to working with all software providers who want to make their software compatible.
This statement is not well received in the forum. The comment receives negative ratings.
What do Linux users want? They would like a dedicated client. After all, League of Legends was also unplayable on Mac for years until Riot finally decided to provide these players with their own client.
Whether Riot is considering a Linux client remains to be seen. So far, there is no new information on this.
Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4, iOS, Switch & Xbox One) has a new tournament. In July 2018, Red Bull will host the “Rise till Dawn” tournament. It is expected to last all night, and Ninja will be participating again!
Red Bull is joining Fortnite. The energy drink manufacturer Red Bull has recently announced a new Fortnite tournament. In “Rise till Dawn,” 50 duo teams will compete for victory.
The special thing about the Red Bull tournament: It lasts the whole night. The battles will start at sunset and end at dawn. Larger quantities of Red Bull should therefore be mandatory to stay awake that long.
Details about the “Rise till Dawn” tournament
If you are interested in the Rise till Dawn tournament by Red Bull, here are a few more details about it:
When? The tournament will take place from July 21 to July 22, 2018, from 8:21 PM to 5:35 AM local time.
Where? The venue will be the 99th floor of the Willis Tower in Chicago.
Tournament format? The battles will be held in duo mode, meaning there will be 50 teams of 2.
Rules? The player who earns the most points by the end of the tournament wins.
Further details, such as the prize money or the participant list, are not yet known.
Ninja and Red Bull are now partners
A prominent participant is already known: The famous Tyler “Ninja” Blevins will definitely be there. A partnership has even been announced between Red Bull and Ninja. In a specially produced clip, Ninja is seen ceremoniously putting on a headband with the Red Bull logo.

Who will Ninja team up with? It is currently not known who Ninja’s duo partner will be in the tournament. Ninja himself would wish for his well-known duo partner “Dr Lupo.” However, he will definitely be present in some form, either as a player or a shoutcaster.
Eliminate Ninja and score extra points: Ninja is not just a player. He also grants additional points for the team that takes him down. The prospect of this has likely inspired enough people so that the participant list for the tournament filled up quickly.
