In The Elder Scrolls Online, cool mounts can almost always be found only in the real-money shop. However, in an upcoming update, you will be able to obtain a particularly impressive mount completely within the game without spending real money.
The Elder Scrolls Online and the mounts: Almost all mounts in ESO can normally only be obtained through the Crown Store, where you pay with real money. In the game, you have to settle for simple horses.
Indrik mount for events: But that should change soon. On the test server, you can already play Update 4.2.2, which features a number of new events.
In one of them, you can earn tickets and exchange every 10 of them for feathers. You do this at the “Impresario” in Vulkhel Guard, Daggerfall, and Dolchsturz.
Once you have four feathers, you will get a small Indrik, which is a kind of mix between a stag, a peacock, and a unicorn. By the way, an Indrik is the final boss in the last DLC Wolfhunter.
If you continue to feed the creature with berries, you can even further upgrade it. The berries can also be obtained for event tickets.
More events in the new update
What’s new? In addition to Indrik raising, the new Update 4.2.2 offers six more events with rewards. Among them are:
Clockwork City Celebration: In the Clockwork City, there’s more loot to be had.
Undaunted Celebration: Earn extra reward boxes from dungeons here.
New Life Festival: This is the well-known Christmas event where you must experience the customs of all races.
Midyear Mayhem: This event brings you better loot and rewards in PvP.
Morrowind Celebration: More loot while roaming in Vvardenfell from the Morrowind expansion.
Thieves Guild/Dark Brotherhood Celebration: Here you’ll get more loot when you’re in the Gold Coast and Hew’s Bane regions.
All these events can now be tried and tested on the ESO test server. When they will be available in the finished game is still unknown.
In Fortnite today, a new update for Save the World and Battle Royale arrives. We take a look at the patch notes for Fortnite 6.01 in English and see that frosty times are coming.
Today, on the Day of German Unity, the first update for the new Season 6 in Fortnite arrives. Currently, the servers are still down, while maintenance is ongoing. But the patch notes are already live.
In today’s update, we mainly find new items for both modes of Fortnite. We summarize the patch notes.
Highlights of the Patch Notes for Fortnite Battle Royale 6.01
Creative mode gets more options: In Creative mode, there are now more possibilities for customization. One can now set the time of day, gravity, or starting health points.
New item: The Ice Trap comes. It is a common item and drops in stacks of three from treasure chests, supply drops, or from the ground. It can also be obtained from vending machines.
The trap can be placed on floors, walls, or ceilings. It encases the feet of friend or foe in ice and makes them slide.
These new skins are coming to the shop soon: Data miners have already extracted the data to find out which skins and items will be coming to the shop soon. You can read all about it in our new article about the “coming soon” new shop items in Fortnite.
The special aspect:
The ice trap had been found earlier. Data miners thought it would slow down and freeze enemies. Instead, it is more of a “movement” item and makes the game a slide show for the affected.
Interestingly, there is nothing in the patch notes about the new mode “Disco Domination”, which was actually announced.
Highlights of the Patch Notes for Fortnite Save the World 6.01
New weapon Motor Hammer: A new item called “Motor Hammer” comes to Save the World, which swings faster with each hit. The hammer allows for a jump attack, where you jump to an enemy and knock back nearby foes. The Motor Hammer is available this week in the Fortnite Gold Shop.
Devastator Sniper Rifle: This item is also new in the shop. It is a slow-firing but heavy sniper rifle with a lot of power and high recoil. The sniper penetrates husks and walls.
In addition, there are again some bug fixes in the patch notes for Fortnite.

The shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 by Treyarch is coming on the 12th.October and has had a successful beta behind it. What lessons have the developers learned from the beta? We asked Treyarch.
From September 28 to 30, 2018, the gaming fair EGX took place for the first time in Germany. The developers of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 were also present in the exhibition hall in Berlin. We were able to get Jason Blundell (Sr. Executive Producer, Zombies, Treyarch), Thomas Wilson (Co-Studio-Head Beenox), Jonathan Moses (Senior Producer PC, Treyarch), and David Vonderhaar (Studio Design Director, Treyarch) for a large interview.

Interview on Black Ops 4 – Part 1: Blackout and Battle Royale
MeinMMO: Why are you only now making a Battle Royale game?
Treyarch: The genre was not a topic when we made Black Ops 3. But we could address it during the development of Black Ops 3. So we were actually very quick and are the first Call of Duty that is participating in it.
MeinMMO: There are many games in the genre with their own fanbase. What type of Battle Royale player should play Blackout?
Treyarch: Black Ops fans, Call of Duty fans, shooter fans. Blackout is a game that builds on ten years of Black Ops history. Those who enjoy fast and fluid gameplay will love Blackout. If you love competitive shooters, you will love Black Ops and Blackout.
We take the experience and refinement from ten years and create a BR mode that is fast and dynamic and does not feel cumbersome.
MeinMMO: Which game was your inspiration for Blackout?
Treyarch: We get inspiration from everywhere. It’s not just Battle Royale games. But we have of course studied the genre. We played the two big BR games and many more. Influences come from all over.
But the influence from our own history and background is also important. The most influence comes from a decade of working as a team.
Questions about gameplay – What makes Blackout different?
MeinMMO: Call of Duty is known for fast action. Yet in many Battle Royale games, it’s a good tactic to hide and camp. Isn’t that a contradiction to the core values of CoD?
Treyarch (David Vonderhaar): I think we achieved that well. Blackout is faster than other games in the genre. But it is slower than a typical multiplayer mode. It has everything you wish for in a BR game. You have various items and three armor levels as well as different healing options.
All this does slow the game down a bit compared to the standard multiplayer, which is very fast-paced. There is also no respawn, which is the case in almost all BR games. Therefore, we have to lower the TTK (Time to Kill). We do this with items, armor, but also by adjusting the combat distance.
We have bullet drop at long range. Bullets drop off, as does the damage. The game therefore becomes slower because the combat distance is much greater. Blackout is therefore slower than you would expect from a typical CoD game but faster than typical BR games. You can seek your luck as a camper, but that won’t get you very far.
You also can’t camp endlessly in other BR games; it goes better in some than in others. But I tell you: Only over my dead body will you be able to sit in a bathtub and win the game!
Treyarch (David Vonderhaar): I’m not particularly fond of this term “Game as a Service.” But I understand what is meant. A game that you continuously develop and enhance. We will do this for at least the next three years.
If you look at Black Ops 3, we didn’t stop it after a year; it was even updated a month before. I guarantee that we will do the same here. We will finish it, we will update it, and we will get the most out of it.
MeinMMO: So I can expect at least three more years of Black Ops 4?
Treyarch: At least! You can still play Black Ops 3 today.
Treyarch (David Vonderhaar): That was nerfed in the beta. And the version from the beta has already been nerfed. On the one hand, in the overall protection that the armor gives you. And then we have also done something interesting: The heavier the armor, the more you can hear the footsteps and general noises of the wearer.
This way, you can immediately recognize when someone with tier-three armor comes around the corner. And we will also think about armor repairs and how to better see how damaged the armor is.
The fact that armor is even a topic is good! That people are thinking about it and debating it! I want to have an engaged and determined fan base, even if some are sometimes angry with me.
Weapons and ammunition – Why there are only 2 versions of a weapon
MeinMMO: You have a lot of weapons in the game. But you don’t see right away what they can do and how good they are. Will you change that?
Treyarch: No weapon should be better, just different. You can also try the weapons in the various modes in tutorial levels. There should never be a useless weapon. Weapons have a foundation of values, applicability, or atmosphere.
So then you get things like “This is the weapon that reloads the fastest” or “This weapon is the best suppressed weapon in the game.” But that should stay the same, and it will never happen that the weapon that reloads the fastest is also the quietest weapon. That is the philosophy of weapon design that we have for Black Ops 3.
In Blackout, there will also be rarities that we balance the weapons around. For example, sniper rifles with high range are more powerful in Blackout because the combat distance is much higher. A caliber .50 sniper rifle can blow your head off instantly; therefore, it is rarer to find.
MeinMMO: But there are not multiple different strong versions of a weapon?
Treyarch: There is a gold version. If you find it, you get all accessories and modifications included right away. However, it is not inherently better than the regular weapon. It does not deal more damage. You just don’t have to search for five different accessories. It’s a complete package.
MeinMMO: So you will not offer differently colored versions of the same weapon with different values in the future?
Treyarch: No, that would be too complex and hard to balance. That would be “dirty game design.” We want to keep it simple and easy to understand. Players should immediately know what a particular weapon is. Therefore, there is always the same version, just the gold version with all addons. In zombie mode, things look different. No one complains about overpowered weapons there. Zombies don’t do that. So we intentionally included overpowered weapons.
Treyarch: That is not slow; we have adjusted it during the beta.
MeinMMO: And what about ammunition? Wouldn’t it be easier if you automatically picked it up?
Treyarch (David Vonderhaar): That is dumb. We call that “automatic sucking.” If you do that, you are not paying attention to the ammunition. It doesn’t make sense for a first-person shooter like Call of Duty to not see ammunition as an important resource and gameplay mechanic.
I am extremely against this “sucking” in our games and see it as an important decision for a CoD game.
But I think it’s very good that players are so intensely involved with loot, armor, inventory, and sounds. They are super passionate. And we want to use that to improve our game. You will see significant improvements from the beta. That’s why we even made a beta. To see what interests players the most. Fans are loud, and we are listening to them.

The new update 6.01 brings new content to Fortnite on this Wednesday, October 3rd. Therefore, the servers of Fortnite: Battle Royale will be offline on all platforms (PC/Mac, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS, Android). Maintenance will bring a new patch. When are the servers down and when will Fortnite be playable again?
New Season 6 has started in Fortnite: Battle Royale:The new Season 6 has started and brings a new Battle Pass and all sorts of crazy stuff to Fortnite. And even though the new season is not even a week old, the first update 6.01 is already here.
Even holidays don’t stop updates: Those who wanted to enjoy a round of Fortnite today, on October 3rd, in the morning will have to wait for the time being. Because Epic is deploying a new patch for Fortnite, leading to server downtime.
Fortnite servers go offline – When will they be back online?
When does the server downtime start? Around 08:30 AM German time, the player search will be disabled. At 09:00 AM, the Fortnite servers will subsequently be taken offline. This is a whole hour earlier than usual in recent months. Those who usually play in the morning should be prepared for an earlier interruption.

When will the Fortnite servers be back online? With smaller updates, the servers are already back online after a few hours. Around 11-12 AM you should be able to log back in, provided nothing serious happens.
This is what update 6.01 brings for Fortnite: Battle Royale: Apart from a few vague statements on Reddit, there are actually no announcements for the Battle Royale mode this time. MrPopo mentions on Reddit at least that it is about slides. In addition, players are supposed to stay “frosty.”
Will the winter season kick off tomorrow? That seems illogical. After all, Halloween is still ahead of us. After the maintenance, we will know more.

Amazon has released new screenshots of New World. These show us how beautiful the graphics of the upcoming MMORPG look. This time, the focus is on idyllic landscapes.
What can be seen in the new images? While two weeks ago, mainly dark images of New World were released, this time we see a few brighter landscape images as a contrast.
The first image focuses on an old mill located in an open field. In the second, a small fishing hut can be seen by a lake in romantic moonlight. The third image features a large tree in a meadow as the central figure.
Images are part of a regular series. The screenshots were released during Screenshot Saturdays. Every Saturday, new images of the game are presented on the official Twitter account.
Last week, there were already three screenshots that we have also attached again. Here, too, the focus is on landscapes and not on outposts or battlefields.
All six images share the realistic and mature setting of the game. Although we find ourselves in a fictional world, everything is inspired by the time of colonization of America.
While some initial testers have already been invited, no specific information has been released. So we don’t know how many players are participating or how regularly alpha events will take place.
When will New World be released? There is also no new information about the release date so far. However, since Amazon is a company without significant financial pressure behind the game, the developers can take their time with the game.
Over the weekend (September 28 to 30, 2018), the EGX took place for the first time in Germany, which is considered the largest gaming fair in England. Together with MeinMMO, we were on-site for three days and would like to share our impressions with you.
The Gamescom in Cologne has been a well-known brand among gamers worldwide for years and is established as the largest gaming fair in the world. Suddenly, a new one is coming around the corner, the EGX in Berlin, imported from England and the gaming event of the year there.
Some of you have wished that we share our impression of the first EGX in Berlin 2018, including our reader CandyAndyD86. We are happy to fulfill that wish and tell you why the EGX is charmingly different.
The EGX is small and aimed at an adult audience
The EGX is significantly smaller than the Gamescom, which makes the fair feel more homely. It is possible to stroll around the fair with enough space around and look at various exhibitors and games at your leisure. This results in short waiting times, allowing for a more intensive engagement with the offerings.
What makes the EGX different from the Gamescom?
The EGX is for ages 18 and up: A younger audience is not welcome. This was also reflected in the selection of games shown. Highlights included Resident Evil 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
The tickets are limited: The Gamescom is now bursting at the seams: This year there were 370,000 visitors at the fair in Cologne. The EGX seems to want to avoid this and offers only limited tickets. The EGX in Berlin will not come close to these numbers.
Less “hype”: At the Gamescom, there are a lot of stage shows with competitions and it is loud. The EGX is the complete opposite; there is no real hype here, which is why the noise level is somewhat lower. The focus is clearly on the games that can be tested.
More panels and discussions: The discussions are also aimed at an adult audience. There are figures from the industry who philosophize about gaming and discuss topics like the market economy behind it or future developments.
By the way, we were also there with our streaming channel MAX; we participated in the discussions and talked here about a major MMORPG hope in the West. MAX is a community project of GameStar, GamePro, IGN, and MeinMMO.

This is what our team from MeinMMO says about the EGX
Dawid, Jürgen, Irie, and I, Leya, were on-site from our team. We were able to conduct a few interviews at the EGX and also test the games ourselves.
This is what Irie says: When I entered the fairgrounds on Friday, it quickly became clear which audience the EGX would appeal to more. The atmosphere was cozier, and visitors strolled slowly from one booth to another or relaxed while playing at the game stations.
People expecting a show like at the Gamescom will be disappointed at the EGX. Apart from little things like pins and lanyards here and there, there was not much to grab. This may change in the future, but I found this focus on the games themselves refreshing, even though I always enjoy the party atmosphere of the Gamescom.
This is what Jürgen says: My first impression at the EGX 2018 was: “Hmm, this is cozy.” Because I somehow expected a mini-version of the Gamescom. So loud, noisy, and crammed to the top. Just in less space.
What I ended up getting was a very family-friendly and nice fair. It was easy to find places to play everywhere and talk to the people from the booths. At no point did I feel rushed or stressed.
And then there were some of you readers with whom I had one or the other nice conversation. For me, the fair was a nice change from the usual hustle.
This is what Dawid says: From an organizational perspective, the EGX was still quite a chaos, but that goes with such an experiment and such a small team that takes care of the fair. Until a few hours before the fair began, we thought the EGX would not be ready. There was just so much unresolved and a big construction site! We even had a situation where we were still actively streaming, and out of nowhere, someone came who just wanted to pull the power cable. “The day is over now,” it was said.
Personally, I didn’t get to see much of the fair itself because I was leading the MAX team, but I only heard positive things: Direct, personal, fast. In summary, it can best be summarized: If the Gamescom is a festival, then the EGX is a private concert. As a visitor, I would have preferred the EGX. If the organization starts more early next year and more advertising is done for the fair, it can become a really attractive alternative to the Gamescom. What we heard was that the fair in Berlin was simply too surprising for many gaming publishers.
This is what I, Leya, say: The EGX will probably not be a direct competitor to the Gamescom. The two fairs differ too much from each other. The EGX consciously chooses the small, personal, and the conversation. The Gamescom is loud, full of life, and somewhat more commercial. Thus, both fairs complement each other very well.
I like the calm and family atmosphere of the EGX, but it could benefit from more life. The fair hall still has room for more exhibitors, game stations, and stages for interesting discussions. So far, it’s hardly worth getting a day ticket for the EGX. I hope that in the future, the three days will be worthwhile for this fair.
The EGX is also coming to Berlin in 2019
Already on Saturday of the fair, it was announced that the EGX is also coming back to Berlin next year. The visit is worthwhile if you just want to stroll comfortably through the halls and test a few games. You can quickly engage in conversation with other players and also with the people at the booths.
We from MeinMMO certainly enjoyed the first EGX and we are curious to see where the fair will develop.
The new MMORPG Crowfall is set to receive an entirely new PvE system. Instead of showcasing dungeons and raids like classic MMORPGs, Crowfall sends you into an open world filled with dangers and monsters.
Back to the “Old School MMO”: Creative Director J. Todd Coleman spoke with MMORPG.com about the development of Crowfall in the coming weeks. He explained that Crowfall will not have deep instances. Dangerous monsters will primarily inhabit the open world.
In Crowfall, monsters band together into groups
Monsters occupy areas: Crowfall features many creatures in its world that are rarely found in other MMORPGs. With some animal races as an option, a few of these creatures can even be played.
More importantly, creatures according to MMORPG.com are set to get their own territories in Crowfall. Monsters in Crowfall can occupy areas that thematically adapt to them and become a persistent threat to players.
A spider queen might decide to settle in a part of the forest and send her servants to occupy it. Players of any faction can fight over the resources of the area, with the constant threat posed by the spiders.Monsters come in groups – including bosses: Some types of monsters are even supposed to band together into proper groups that roam the land and attack players. These include:
Spiders
Wolves
and even zombies
These creatures move and fight in groups and can even have stronger boss opponents, such as giants or wyverns.
Other types of enemies that are somewhat smarter form so-called “War Camps.” Individual tribes, mercenaries, or even entire regiments are supposed to roam and pillage the world.
Coleman again draws a comparison to Game of Thrones: The “War Camps” are a new layer of the game, where players confront them, while at any time, another group could attack from anywhere.
The “Hunger” makes monsters stronger: An important mechanic in Crowfall is the “Hunger”, which can infest land areas and can appear in the deepest winter. Creatures that inhabit areas infested by Hunger become infected.
At night, infected creatures are significantly stronger and a much greater threat to players. However, the infection is also supposed to affect wandering monsters so strongly that they die during the day.
Monsters are also supposed to behave like players. Equipped with six to eight abilities, they can use and chain skills like players. All of this is intended to give Crowfall a more dynamic, exciting combat experience.
If you want to infuse and enhance your gear, you must use masterwork cores (enhancement cores). Unfortunately, there are currently no activities in Destiny 2 that reliably give out masterwork cores as rewards. However, a clever Redditor has likely found the best way to farm these rare cores.
No masterwork cores, no infusion: If you want to raise your beloved gear to a new power level, you will often need to invest masterwork cores. These have now been renamed to enhancement cores.
However, they are extremely rare. If you want to acquire the coveted resource in a normal way, you have to spend legendary shards at Spider in the Tangled Shore.
This can be quite expensive: Because with each purchased masterwork core, the price doubles. For 5 masterwork cores, you have to spend 310 legendary shards – a steep price.
Needed for the farming method: Spider
The Redditor Bullmoogle has now shown that there is a much cheaper way. All you need for this is a supply of legendary shards (at least 200-500).
Note: The method is tedious, I won’t hide that from you. You will spend a lot of time on loading screens and bouncing between Tangled Shore, Mercury, and the Tower. You won’t even have to fire a weapon (or will you?).
As previously mentioned, you will need to regularly visit Spider in the Tangled Shore, Brother Vance on Mercury, and the Cryptarch in the Tower. Here’s how the trick works in detail:
Step 1: Spend all your legendary shards at Spider in the Tangled Shore for Simulation Seeds. All of them? Yes, all! You receive these in stacks of 5 for one legendary shard each. Do not exchange the Simulation Seeds for Glimmer; that won’t work.
Step 2: Fly with your Simulation Seeds to Brother Vance on Mercury and exchange them for reward packages. Dismantle everything he gives you.
Step 3: Fly to the Tower and dismantle all the shaders from Brother Vance at the Cryptarch. This will give you back some of your legendary shards.
Step 4: Go to the gunsmith and exchange the materials you got from dismantling the weapons. Dismantle everything you don’t need.
Repeat steps 1-4 as long as your Netflix series is running or your food is on the stove.

For these 4 tasks in week 2, you need the Battle Pass
Eliminate opponents from at least 50 meters away (1): This challenge is especially for fans of assault rifles and sniper rifles. Just make sure to take someone down from a distance.
Inflict damage with pistols (500): Pistols are not particularly good weapons, but fortunately, you only need to inflict damage. 500 points might take some time, but eventually, everyone should be able to complete it. As a last resort, you can go into the 50vs50 mode or another team battle and pump a downed opponent with pistol shots.
Eliminate opponents with submachine guns (3): SMGs are still excellent weapons in the game. Three kills with them should be achievable for everyone.
Stage 1: Inflict damage with hunting rifles (200): A tricky challenge since hunting rifles are not necessarily the best weapons and do not appear frequently either. The subsequent tasks may similarly be specific and annoying.

When will we know more? So far, the new tasks have come on Thursday of each week. If that hasn’t changed, it should also be the case in week 2 of Season 6 again on Thursday. Then we will present you with the correct tasks in another article and provide additional guides as needed.
The new research breakthrough with Suicune also brings trainers new field research in Pokémon GO this month. There is now a new Shiny and a new Pandir form available from the quests.
The new field researches that you can obtain at PokéStops mainly focus on the Water type. This is because the legendary Water Pokémon Suicune is now available as a research breakthrough.
Additionally, like last month with Fukano, a new Shiny form is making its way into the game. Furthermore, Pandir number 1 is obtainable from the quests.
Quests in October at Pokémon GO
The following new quests have been compiled by members of TheSilphRoad and are now available in Pokémon GO:
Until now, trainers could only catch two forms of Pandir in Pokémon GO. Those were form number 8 and form number 3. All forms differ by the spots on Pandir’s head.
New form: Now trainers can find form number 1 in Pokémon GO. The following screenshot shows what it looks like in the game.
Easy catch: You can obtain Pandir through the quest “Land two good curveball throws”. That shouldn’t be a problem.
Monthly rotation: After forms 8 in August and 3 in September, now the third form appears in the third month. One can now assume that the other forms will also be added in the coming months.
New Shiny – Krabby
For several days now, we have known that the shiny form of Krabby has been added to Pokémon GO. This Pokémon is now obtainable through the task “Catch 5 Water Pokémon”, or it can also be found in the wild.
